I had a pleasant visit when I went for breakfast. I asked to remove and swap some items from the dish and the staff were happy to accommodate. The staff were very friendly and quick at serving. Loved the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon, on a work lunch break. Lovely large, well set out cafe/restaurant. Ordered at the till, fast service. I went for the avocado and halloumi bagel. The halloumi was battered. £6.95 (Pictured) One of my friends went for the H+H Club sandwich. They put it on gluten free bread for her & assured they’d be no traces of dairy. £9.95 (Pictured) I noticed they also have specials, I’ve added a photo. They have a Boozy Brunch option, which looks great! Self service water, which is a great idea! Nice calm atmosphere on a Wednesday afternoon. Prices about average, although some of the brunches for £15 seemed a tad over priced in my opinion. The cheese scones at the counter looked amazing! Great town centre location. I’ll be returning 😊

Went for a roast last Sunday. I’m one of those that claims the best roast is always home cooked. But this was without doubt the best roast I’ve eaten out in years. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going for more in the future and will be highly recommending it. 10/10

Very disappointing. Mid-week lunch for two. I ordered the Caesar salad, priced at £10.50 and paid an extra £3.50 for chicken and was served a bowl of bitter lettuce and croutons in a generic dressing with a few slices of chicken on top. No anchovies or parmesan as advertised or any other standard Caesar ingredients. My friend had a sausage bap with chips. Her bap was a large dry white bap and inside were two small round thin sausage patties, barely covering half the bread. Was unable to get the attention of any staff to make them aware or the sub standard food and due to lunchbreak timing's and work commitments was forced to leave without rectifying. Felt like a conveyor belt of people on short lunch breaks and the pay as you order systems leaves little room or time for complaints.

Superb service, and great food and coffee. A guy near me ordered for him and his friend, who was late. When they eventually arrived, the chef cooked him fresh eggs without being asked. My food was brilliant, and the free refills on brunch drinks is a great offer (and clever, as you can only drink so much coffee before you have issues! 😂) The only downside is that the cups, saucers and plates looked a bit greasy. I find overall cleanliness to be a regular issue at ALL of their branches, so it must be something to do with their standard practices rather than any individual employee. Review your cleaning practices if you're reading this!

There is a lot of potential here but a couple things made our experience forgettable. To start with the positives, beautiful restaurant, clean and modern. Food for the most part was great and the service by the staff was very good. For the not so good, they don’t accept cash, I did pay card but they should accept any form of payment within reason. The bread our breakfasts was served on needed a steak knife to cut through, I went with the eggs and bacon hollandaise which looked like one of their best dishes however, sauce was bland and lacked flavour, disappointing as the sauce is the what it’s all about. Overall me and my partner did enjoy the experience, especially as the barista was highly helpful explaining the coffee menu. Unfortunately I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Really poor service which was disappointing. We were told when we went to order that we needed a table number, which was unclear before. There were no clean tables, but we were assured that our table would be cleared. Someone eventually took the dirty dishes away but the table was not even wiped which meant that we had to eat our delicious but overpriced food amongst the crumbs of other people's meals. The girl at the counter did not tell us about the loyalty card offer either so we missed the opportunity to collect at least 4 stamps. Not recommended.

Sad to leave a review for honey and Harvey as I normally visit the Woodbridge one which I have always liked. Again companies are being blasé with food and drink and charging ridiculous prices and the food and drink is mediocre. So 4 times I have visited the Ipswich one and ordered chai latte each time warm and you pay £4.50 with soya yes they give you a new one but why not make it hot in the first place. The breakfast my toast was burnt my avocado tasteless, the prices are extortionate for food that isn’t all that

Ok food, high prices, awful customer service I've been here a few times now, and it's reasonably consistent. The food ranges from mediocre to good, depending on your luck, but all of it will cost about as much as you could feasibly charge for each thing. The place is already looking a bit grubbier and shabbier than when they opened, but what really lets them down is the customer service. You're quickly told to find a table before coming back to order, which makes you feel like you can't actually look at what you might order first. Today, I ordered a few things. They often bring things over to the table, but I was told to wait to take some of it over. No problem. However, I reached for a tray to help me bring them over (these are stacked within easy reach, like in other cafes) but I was bizarrely and abruptly told off, and told that customers must not use trays. I asked whether they thought it was better that I juggle four separate plates, and they told me that they "weren't insured" for customers to carry trays. You'd think an insurer would prefer that to customers carrying breakable objects, but what do I know? It was frankly odd, both in terms of how rude they were, and how they expect you to psychically deduce the special rules they have just to order some coffee and cake. Honey and Harvey simply isn't so good that they can be unapologetically rude to customers, charge high prices for ok-ish food, and expect people to come back.

I used to love H&H so much, but after too many burnt/weak cappuccinos, a very burnt almond croissant which I was told was “normal,” when I tried to complain, and now today one that had no filling, just the mixture poured over the top (for £3.75, this shouldn’t happen, but someone obviously forgot to cut this one in half and slather on the good stuff before baking - I had it for takeaway or it would have gone back!) I’m going to have to go elsewhere for my coffee and croissant fix. A shame as it was soooo good for a while there, but standards have definitively slipped.

Having visited on two occasions and both times encountering things that aren’t ideal, I have to confess that it sadly doesn’t match up to the standards that the Woodbridge one does. The first visit the coffee was absolutely vile, it was incredibly bitter and tasted like nothing I have tried before - I am usually a fan of a sweeter milder coffee so thought perhaps their coffee was just too strong for me, however on the second visit the coffee was absolutely fine so put the first visit down to a barista issue. The second visit we struggled to find a table that wasn’t still dirty, loaded with dirty plates spillages etc, when we did find a table and ordered the tea came out with a dirty cup and plate, and then the pastries were really dry. It was just disappointing as every visit to the Woodbridge branch always exceeds expectations and we were really happy when the Ipswich one opened. Hopefully, in the future if we do try again the visit may be more positive especially as this branch is still relatively new so these may just be teething problems. Despite the issues we encountered everyone we have spoken to has been very friendly and welcoming.

No no no. Very wrong attitude to run a public service. Customer service is unacceptable🧏🧏. Walked in and ordered food and drink in a most polite manner. Sat down, coffee served. they brought card machine that payment was declined. I tried all my cards. Even with pins uncountable times. Then was summoned to the till. Tried again!! then the man said oh I will my other machines. Straight the payment went thru with the other machine. now I have been embrassed, calling me to the till, leaving my hot drink behind. For NO fault of mine. NOT even a word of apology from anyone of them. NOT by mistake word of apology. Back to my table. I requested for a cup of hot water (now cold coffee) nothing came. Nothing. I called on another staff. 2 spoons of hot water was reluctantly DROPPED in my front. (Half milk jug of hot water) with the worst attitude ever. Even after I made mention that I have waited for her colleague to bring the hotwater. No word of apology. By the way, they were not busy at the time. I am SORELY disappointed to say the least. Now I have left the burger half eaten. Coffee not drank. Hot water not touch. I paid £11.50 for a filthy attitude this morning. I am vexed. 1star is the least, that's why it's there. Being a regular visitor to the Melton branch, I was really excited to find out H+H were opening in Ipswich. I often work from coffee shops so took my laptop in with me to enjoy some lunch and a coffee, but there were no tables free on arrival except low sofas, so I had to wait for one. A staff member (assume manager) was using the only table that would have been suitable, which was a bit disappointing for any customers looking for a table for food, and potentially walking out because of it. I eventually got a table and sat to drink my coffee only to spend a further 20 minutes unsuccessfully trying to connect to the open Wi-Fi network. I eventually gave up, didn’t bother buying lunch as it would have been unproductive and a further waste of my time, and went elsewhere. Coffee was good as expected though.

It was ok. We went here during the evening as it was a nice surprise that they remained open to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. We went here to try some cocktails but they were not to standard particularly for the prices we were paying. My friend had ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it tasted ridiculously strong that it had defeated the objective of tasting like strawberry at all. The music was off-putting considering we were the only people sitting at the back of the space also. I wouldn't mind if it was background but it seemed to increase the longer we were sitting there. Despite the beautiful decor, it didn't hit the mark unfortunately. Hopefully, things will improve as time goes on. I'm happy to come back.

I ordered a Mocha with oatmilk. I saw the lady that was making the drinks use normal dairy milk. I had been waiting for some time to get my drink. I was the only one waiting inside. The girl that took my order, walked over to the lady and whispered "she said oat mocha". The lady mumbled something back to her very low. Then she put the oat sticker on and called "oat mocha". I have no words. Please take people's dietary requirements seriously. I've seen a similar review. It didn't even taste like mocha, very watery. Do better!

Have always ordered from here in the past and has been a great choice but today after being away for 6 months I decided to order and it was awful. Chips have changed and were extremely soggy and kebab had no flavour, only decent thing was the salad. Definitely won’t be back

Came here for lunch with a friend after seeing an advert on Social Media to try their katsu curry and smoked chicken. Food was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, don't have any pictures to share as we scoffed it all down! My other friends had the combo noodles and rice, which I tried a bit of and were also very tasty. Would highly recommend coming with some friends so that you can sneak a bit of everyone else's food! Staff were nice and friendly and the food came out promptly. Next time I am in Ipswich, I will be coming baack :) Thanks!

Paid a fair whack for cod and chips and a burger (£19) and the cod was slimy and FULL OF BONES. In otherwords they are serving the cheapest Cod you can buy but charging premium rates. NEVER use to be like this the new owners are obviously not very well versed in what makes a shop successful. DEFINATELY WONT BE USING AGAIN. As for the so called owner calling me a liar well that speaks volumes. Shocking but fully expected. Don't make me laugh about buying premium cut I use several chip shops and they are all much better quality. Dreadful and poor attitude
