If you're in the 'clique' set then you'll be welcome at this pub. Apparently the pub is up for sale and has a limited 'clique' cliental .... Nobody serves behind the bar as the staff 'party with their friends'.. Not professionally run, unfriendly and do the owners know what's going on? Wanted to book as a venue, but totally told by customers it was a 'clique' establishment... Maybe I should have gone dressed up, not casual... although it's not a high class establishment in my opinion... Won't be visiting again, although I used to from 1980 onwards and disappointed how it is today. Absolutely terrible.

We visited the Inn with our daughter from Switzerland. The fish and chips were a popular choice. We were not disappointed. We were warm and cosy and could hold a conversation because there was no loud music blasting in your ears. The Inn is old but well maintained There is plenty of off road parking. The staff is very friendly. There is wheelchair access into the Inn, but there are no disabled toilets. It is a small menu but there is a good choice. Vegetarians are catered for. My husband enjoys the German beer. Dogs are welcome in some parts of the dining area. There is a popular Quiz night on Thursdays. Enjoy.

We obeyed our satnav, and managed to turn a 'one-way street' into a 'two-way street'. If it's dark and someone in a 15 year old car with an amplifier instead of an exhaust pipe is 2 inches behind you, and you're hopelessly lost, it's quite easily done. Of course when 10 cars are coming towards you and nothing is going in the same direction as you are, you soon learn - it doesn't actually need pedestrians waving their arms about to get the message over. In sheer desperation we stopped at the White Horse for a rest and to ask directions. We had drinks and a two course meal. The place, the staff, the other customers and the food were wonderful and the latter was terrific value.

My husband and I ate here 23 November , we opted for the 2 rump steak and wine offer and although we shouldn't have we had desserts ,chocolate brownies and a treacle sponge. Excellent food and service , so full we had to work home to ease that overeating feeling , was worth it though

We went because we were told it was good food and it certainly was, the service was excellent and very friendly with some nice banter, the menu choice is about what you would expect with pub grub and the food was well presented and tasted very good, I particularly liked my Lincolnshire sausage and mash. The value for money is terrific and we all agreed we will definitely be going back when we pass buy Louth again, nice looking beer garden where you can sit with your dogs in good weather too.

We called into this pub because it looked pretty and there were plenty of cars in the car park. The people were lovely and the food was amazing. Local dishes, cooked beautifully - try the deserts (the treacle sponge was delicious).

Visited recently with my wife and children, we were all made to feel welcome and comfortable. We ordered drinks and chose from the slightly disappointing menu, there were no children's offerings - just smaller portions. We all ordered (adult portions) and received our meals very quickly - maybe too quickly (6 meals in less than 10 mins) for "homemade" food. The food was okay though given the portion sizes I'm glad we opted for adult portions all round. The children all had clear plates which was good - though all things considered I still felt a little disappointed.

We have eaten here before, and this return visit did not disappoint. 2 meals for £10, Wednesday - Saturday, includes the lasagne with salad and garlic bread, my husband's verdict, delicious, mine was an 8oz steak burger (2 x 4oz burgers in a large toasted bun), both meals nicely presented and and good value. Our 2 meals, plus drinks and tea, coffee to follow, came to £14.80. There were 10 choices on the 2 for £10 menu, and also other choices. Another special offer was 8oz gammon/8oz rump/medium Grimsby haddock + bottle Jack Rabbit wine, £25 for 2, Wednesday - Saturday.

Located on the outskirts of Louth not far from the cattle market and the Garden Centre. Pleasant pub atmosphere and partner was spoilt for choice whether to have Abbott ale or Bass. Staff friendly and sensible lunch menu. I had lasagne, mum had surf and turf and partner had ham and eggs. All very pleasant and well cooked. Think it is closed on a Monday and possibly another day so check times.

A Stellar Experience at Papa John's Skegness Butlins: Ian's Exceptional Service Shines Bright Recently, my party of seven had the pleasure of dining at Papa John's restaurant located within Skegness Butlins. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to our outstanding server, Ian. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by Ian, whose genuine hospitality immediately set a positive tone for the evening. Throughout the meal, Ian's attentiveness and professionalism were exemplary. He effortlessly balanced attentiveness with a jovial demeanor, ensuring that our dining experience was not only efficient but also incredibly enjoyable. What truly set Ian apart, however, was his undeniable charisma and infectious personality. He engaged with our party with genuine interest, sharing anecdotes and jokes that added an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience. His ability to connect with each member of our group, from the youngest to the oldest, made us feel like valued guests rather than simply customers. In addition to his exceptional service, Ian's efficiency and attention to detail were commendable. Despite the restaurant being busy, he never once faltered in ensuring that our needs were promptly met. Overall, our experience at Papa John's Skegness Butlins exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to Ian's exemplary service. His dedication, warmth, and professionalism truly elevated our dining experience to a five-star level. Without a doubt, Ian deserves the highest praise for his outstanding contributions to making our evening unforgettable. We look forward to returning to Papa John's in the future, knowing that we'll be in excellent hands with Ian at the helm.

We really wanted a kebab last night. We av been in Winthorpe 8 years and never tried Milanos so thought we would give them a go. Omg, the good was delivered to our site gates within 10 mins. The food was hot, tasty and loads of it. We will definitely av again. Thank you 😊

The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. If you choose to drink in the Ship Inn across the road, as long as the pub isn't serving food, they'll allow you to take the food from hillbilly's inside the pub. Just another heads up, the owner of hillbillys also owns the Axe and Cleaver in Huttoft, a few miles up the road, where again, they serve excellent food. Well worth a visit to either place.

By far the best takeaway I’ve had in chapel. Good prices, good service and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back again.
