Westland Coffee & Wine in Hackney

We visited end January for a quick lunch. It was really lovely. Sandwiches and coffee excellent and service perfect. Wish we lived nearer!

A chance find on this cobbled road, right off buzzing City Road, serving the best coffee of 2021 to date. Homemade sandwich too was a real treat. Checking their wine list I might find myself back soon for an end of day chill…

I stopped by this small coffee shop one early afternoon and decided to try their coffee. Westland Coffee is probably one of the very few Artisan Coffee places in London still using single shot AND charging the same price £ 2.50 for 6 oz latte ( all served in take away cups, in out out ). Mine was already extracted when I was served - not sure how long it has been, as it was completely diluted in hot milk. This will not support the excellent reputation Union Hand Roasted Coffee roasters has acquired over the years. The place had several light bulbs to be changed and looked a little messy. I am not sure how the food is - meat and cheese platters with wines - but I am not sure I want to go back to try. You have a couple of better options near by to try - at least for a proper coffee.

Waiting for visit to Fifteen next door. Nothing much to say. Lacked anything memorable. Drank a few glasses of wine while others drank coffee from paper cups. Cheap bits of plank for decorations.

Happened to have a meeting nearby and was recommended by the chap I was meeting. The coffee here is wonderfully smooth but still with a great taste, it really is the best coffee I have been able to find thus far in London. I've been back here a couple of times since and it hasn't disappointed, just a shame I can't get here more often, intrigued to try out the wine cellar also!

The coffee is beautiful and the pastries are absolutely delicious! The staff are very warm and friendly; the prices are not bad either :)

A friend made me discover this place and she offered me a latte. It had its perfect effect for the afternoon after a good meal. You can pay your coffee with bitcoin!

This is right by work and I pop in every now and then for great coffee, amazing sandwiches and always lovely staff!

If you love your coffee and search for something nicer than your typical tax avoiding larger chains, it's worth walking a bit further up city road away from the Seattle based coffee company to come across this little gem. Not only is the coffee wonderfully prepared, but the service is super friendly and the coffee is also cheap. The atmosphere is great as well. Worth a trip for anyone in the local area, or those coffee hipsters who love trying new cafes.

This is a hidden gem in amongst the sprawl of old street. This wee cafe is perfectly formed and is the perfect place to escape the madness of angel and old street. The food is nice and wholesome: we had a toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich with an americano and cappucino. The coffee was great. We wish we could keep this place a secret. Shhh! Don't tell anyone.

i popped in today for a quick meeting over a bite to eat. First impressions were outstanding, greeted with a warm friendly smile from every member of staff. After telling Jo (co-owner) that I was hungry but didn't know what I fancied, I asked if she could surprise me with something yummy. After making sure I had no allergies or dietry requirements, I was offered, what can only be described as the most enjoyable vegetarian red Thai curry that I have ever eaten!! Considering I am a meat eater and don't usually go for the vegetarian option, I would absolutely recommend everyone try this!!!!! That was on top of the best coffee I have ever had the pleasure of drinking... Because I'm greedy, and I was there for longer than expected, I then had a beautiful pastrami sandwich which tasted so fresh!! Stopping by for lunch in this beautiful, authentic establishment is a must!! Thanks to all te staff for a beautiful impromptu lunch. If im in the area on any occassion I will certainly be returning!!
