West Village in Manchester

Very slow to serve coffee, not even hot when came

West village/Another heart to feed. We were in pursuit of Another heart to feed, but landed in West village. Visited with friends on a Saturday evening for a much needed caffeine kick. Unfortunately the place does not sell coffee after 4pm-ish. Had to make do with beer and lemonade which was not too bad. Quaint interiors and pleasant interiors, seemed like a good place for solace & conversation on the ever busy Burton road in Didsbury.

Really nice place, great for brunch, only negative is that they advertise orange juice as freshly squeezed and it’s clearly from a carton. Would definitely go back.

Nice little place, friendly staff and lovely decor. Only had a coffee which was lovely.

There was a mouse running around 😬 informed the staff and they didn't seem very bothered, said it was a pet. Won't be consuming anything here again.

Stopped here with a couple of friends for drinks before dining out. Tried a couple of cocktails as they had a happy hour 2 for £12 offer - they were well made. The house rose wine was also nice. Staff were friendly too so we will probably go there more regularly now we have tried it

Food was absolutely delicious! Really well prices and an excellent range of choices. Only negatives were that the servers were not at all friendly, and the orange juice I ordered was advertised as 'freshly squeezed' and cost £3 but was just orange juice from concentrate.

We stayed for couple of hours yesterday just after food service with some friends. We were having a laugh. We asked for the bill and then all went wrong. One of the waitresses bring us the the bill and we asked to be split. So, one friend paid for her bill and then my parter asked to bring the rest of the bill to pay. He asked 4 times for it and was completely ignored!!! if the waiter was that busy, could have just told him 'coming 1sec mate' or something like that, and could avoide the stupid situation/performance happened after. Really disgusting!!

Great cocktails, friendly staff - good vibes. When a group tried to ruin said vibe the barstaff handled it really well whilst looking after everyone else. Nice one!

Spoilt for choice for breakfast. Perhaps that's the plan, you work your way through the menu?

Not the best of service. Drinks arrived one by one and we had to re-order two of them (we were only a group of 4).

7 people moving behind the bar, the place only a third full and still can't get served. Seriously, put a manager in and you'd keep customers. Left after 1 drink and 15 minutes with an empty glass.

Good bar all round. Drinks, music, food, all good. Clean and well run. New staff since lockdown and they’re not as on the ball as the old staff but that’s probably being picky and the old staff were very good.

First time indoors for a while. Had a great day

The best brunch I've ever had. The acai bowls are amazing. Recently I had the brekkie board which was delicious and such good value for money. Can't wait to come back!

Voy con demasiada frecuencia solo para tomar el café, realmente suave. La comida también es deliciosa: ingredientes de buena calidad pero a veces difíciles de comer porque son mega masticables. Bastante caro pero es didsbury tan yolo.

30 minutes to kill...Stopped by! Lovely coffee and staff. Nice layout and great bar stools. Didnot eat but food looked good. Reccomended!

Service was slow. Food was cold. Staff were not great but seemed busy. Didnt ask how our meal was, probably because they knew the answer.

The food is really great. But service was really slow and we only got our coffees half way into having our food.

Coffee is probably the best you’ll get out of town. Service and atmosphere is always nice helped by the staff who seem very casual and make you feel comfortable. I’ve noticed it’s become more and more busy as people start to realise how good it is! Gutted to find out yesterday it opens at 4 on mondays and tuesdays but I’m sure this will be looked at as the demand for such a lovely place grows. Food is also mega especially the sourdough bread.

This is definitely the place to eat! The banana bread is amazing, I have tried the turkish eggs and the organic mushrooms too so it is really difficult to choose what to have :)

Went here for lunch meeting today. Had excellent smashed avocado on toast with poached egg. Rest of the menu also looked good. Nice coffee as well. Not cheap but service friendly and worth the price. Quite trendy. Pleasant ambiance.

Went here today for brunch with my family. I have been here a few times before and always enjoyed the food and drinks. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, delicious coffee and amazing food!

The food was very nice. Portions perhaps a little small. Order took 40 minutes to arrive, even though it wasn't overly busy. Very nice taste when it got to us.

My Husband and I popped to West Didsbury as part of our anniversary celebrations. We were actually visiting for another cafe but fortunately for us they weren't serving sandwiches on this day and so we stumbled across West Village. We actually sat there for 15 minutes deciding what to order because everything sounded delicious. I settled for the smoked salmon and cream cheese on rye and my husband chose the poached egg, mashed peas (the new mashed avacado) and hummus on sourdough. Both dishes were absolutely devious and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or visit again when in the area. Thanks for a lovely start to our day!

Nice little bar in Didsbury, Manchester. Next door is where you can order some food from. Selection of beers is short but they are good. The porter/stout was excellent. The bartender was chill and made an excellent custom mocktail for my wife. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Match this up with a visit to neighbouring Sip for a feed and you'll have a nice night out.

No decent ale and nothing much else about the place took my fancy either.

It's a nice place but when it's busy it's a hard place to hear or be heard. The staff are nice and friendly.

We were in Didsbury for a meal and had a wander first for a few drinks. West Village is a really well presented, lively bar with good music. Well worth a visit.

Trendy bar. Friendly staff. Outside space. Great decor. Fab cocktails. Good for girls/lads night out!

Nice atmosphere, great decor. Popped in on a Saturday night for a couple of drinks with friends, good range of drinks and service was quick. By 11pm the place was really busy which was nice but very noisy. Overall a great addition to Burton Road.
