Best in the area. Great portion sizes. Originally started to use the Welcome Inn when we found out the previous owners of the Evergreen at Fram were here, they have since retired but the food is still great. Recommended

The best Chinese in country Durham from the first time I ordered to the last one in had and every time week in week out 👌🏻

This is has to be the best chinease takeaway in Chester le street. We’ve tried all the others and find the quality of food here the best around.

Have used this takeaway quite alot but never again. Ordered at 1935 by 2045 no sign. Rang up to be told its on its way we live 15 mins max away 2115 it turned up food stone cold I rang to complain to be told I was wrong and she hung up on me

Been waiting 45 min only to be told no driver for delivery, terrible service will never use again bunch of liars

i always get ribs with a Chinese since i was a teenager i am now unfortunately in my thirties but can safely say these do the best bbq ribs i have ever had. i was also given a free can of pop for waitin less than a minute to be seen when i went to collect, happy customer.. i will be going back

Very expensive and the portion sizes are tiny, staff are rude and the takeaway is scruffy - low hygiene standard. Food is either undercooked or burnt. Will not be returning

Really disappointed, the sweet and sour chicken balls and the chips were burnt. The chop suey sauce was so thick it looked like gravy! It also had cucumber in! Wierd. Also was quite expensive, not enough prawn crackers. Will not go back . Wish I’d saved my money

We ordered a take away over the phone. The lady on the phone very clearly couldn’t understand us and seemed in quite a rush to hang up. The order came with 2 items missing and an item that was not correct. So we rang again to let them know to be told they would get it to us and as we tried to tell them not to bother, that same lady wasn’t listening and just hang up. Really quite rude. The food that did come was just very disappointing and most of it got wasted. For people who use this take away quite often we we’re all left very displeased and wouldn’t be in a rush to go back unfortunately.

Last 3 orders were wrong, I told him this on my order earlier, he wouldn’t listen and was in a hurry to hang up, so I told him to make sure my order was right and guess what it was wrong again, I started eating the chicken and it wasn’t cooked. Joke, il never use this takeaway again

Great food, fast service and friendly staff. We travelled from Durham City for this take away food as there are no other Chinese take-aways that match the quality of the curry sauce that they make.

Cant understand the positive reviews. Chow mein is the worst ive had, although the portion size is quite big, it is sloppy and very bland. Chicken did not taste right either it tasted like it had what i can only describe as a scent to it. Pretty much all of the food was binned unfortunatly.

We tried this chinese a couple of nights ago when we found our usual place to be closed. I got a beef curry - very bland, even though I asked for it to be spiced up. Somehow, it was still rather tasteless and not really something I would eat again. My husband asked for a chow mein. It was rather sloppy with a lot of gravy. He said it was also pretty tasteless and ended up throwing half of his in the bin. Not somewhere we would go back to, I'm afraid.

First visit and found the food and service excellent. Our teenage kids even said "can we get from her next time", says it all.

Found this little take away gem from the reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. It doesn't look much on Google street view but the food is five star.Having abandoned our regular Chinese take away some time ago due to tasteless dishes this is now set to become our new favourite place.

Friendly staff, fast turn around and consistently good food. Difficult to find if you're not in the know which is probably doing the owners no favours but if you take delivery there is no reason to worry.

I have used this take away on a number of occasions and have found it to be very good value for money. The menu is really good, so you can try something different every time. Staff are realt pleasant and friendly, and will explain if your not sure what you want.

Recommended by friends as previously enjoyed Evergreen in Framwellgate Moor and informed the previous owners had moved to here. Best Chinese we have had in a long time. Will certainly be back!!!

This Chinese is very hard to find mention of, I believe it used to be under the name of Simon's House, but is now run by the most fantastic chefs to grace a takeaway Chinese restaurant. They used to run the long established Evergreen in Durham, so if you are wondering why that lovely little takeaway suddenly went right downhill, it's because the owners are here! It's a shame they moved (apparently they retired, but got bored and back in the game) and the new location isn't the greatest (the estate is a dive) but on tasting the food again after a 2 year break when I thought we'd never see a decent Chinese againit was like meeting a long-lost friend and finding out you still liked each other!
