Not a good experience. Visited here due to a family gift of a groupon voucher. Decided to also take our two adult sons as a treat. Our sons got the full menu but us voucher customers got a photocopied bit of paper with an inferior menu. Ordered a bottle of white wine which was warm...they had no ice buckets so stuck it in a plastic jug. Food was bland,chewy and tasteless. Sent my youngest son to the bar to get drinks, he had forgot his id... he was refused service which is fair enough but after that it seemed all focus was on us regarding drinks. A simple quiet family meal ended up with myself having strong words with the manager. Won't be back and will advise anyone i know of our experience.

Always have a great meal here and the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Food would have been a 5star, however, the gammon came out tougher and chewier than it should have.

Friendly staff Higher cleanliness standards, menus smeared in dried on condiments not pleasant. Condiments down the wall and skirting behind the table. Low quality and not value for money food. Over priced drinks

Went for a birthday dinner all 23 of us, food was outstanding, so much on plates, steaks were cooked to perfection, the 2 gentleman serving were polite and attentive and helped with our requests same with the girls on the tills, was nice to see a manager present too, doing a ut of everything, all the kids had great fun in the soft play again the girl in there was lovely and friendly with the kids, would definitely go back especially for family dinners

Ven esta noche para una comida familiar por cumpleaños de sobrinas , comida fantástica todos disfrutaron de sus comidas los chicos en el restaurante fueron fantásticos, educados y atentos lo mismo con las chicas puestas tills no podía faltar nada en absoluto , a los niños les encantaron los Ed’s peludos la chica de ahí dentro fue fantástica con los niños , todos tenían comida básicamente todos al mismo tiempo independientemente de estar en diferentes mesas , muy fresco y caliente sin duda recomiendo venir aquí especialmente para comidas familiares con niños 😊

Had to wait an hour and a half for our food,when the food came we where missing a burger and the staff said it was our fault for being late, the food was cold it felt like it had been sat out for almost an out ,the staff where utterly horrible.

This was terrible we sat and waited for a hour and a half ,when it arrived it most of it was cold one of us got a stake and it was not cooked right , one of the burgers came 15 minutes after the rest of the meals and then the staff said we never ordered it when we went through it 3 times all the staff were horrible and rude

Came in a couple weeks back with a few friends, we had some food and drinks and watched the football. I'm not a big drinker and don't find myself in bars that often, but I have to say I really enjoyed it, good atmosphere and even had a laugh with a couple of other customers, food was good and reasonably priced, probably some of the best pints I've had in a while, I'll definitely be back soon as I'm local, been craving another pint ever since 😅

Food had no flavor and was dry.

Went for a pre booked birthday meal with another 16 people. Told it would be a 45min wait for food on arrival. When it did arrive, all at different times due to the scan and pay service, the chunky chips were pale brown on outside still frozen inside. Server did apologise and replaced 2 people's but they too were the same. The fish was slightly under done although the batter was a very dark brown, therefore not eaten either. Hunters chicken was pink and inedible. Children running around past the table to the play area when servers are delivering hot sizzling steaks!!!! Extremely dangerous. As you have to wait to be seated, why they don't they put parents with children at the bottom tables near the play area as they tell you kids need to be supervised at all times anyway, is beyond logic. It's not the servers fault regarding food timings, or the poor food. However, surely if people pre book for a number of people, whether it be 2 or 22, can the powers that be, not ensure a certain server for each table or area be appointed, like in most restaurants? that way people can have the meal altogether and not after most others have finished. Even if it is scan and pay at the table.

What a wasted opportunity of a venue, food nothing like the advertised picture. The beer was flat and no tables were cleaned all evening. We stayed at the Premier so had to go in

Faltan cosas de la comida. El plato parecía escaso para el plato definitivo. Personal no interesado. Somos clientes habituales aquí, pero era obvio hoy que el personal no estaba interesado. Pollo demasiado cocido. Parecía que la comida había sido arrojada al plato. Esperemos que su 1 miembro del personal que realmente va más allá y parece que le gusta su trabajo, vuelva la próxima vez.

Staff were rude and obnoxious. Food came out cold on numerous occasions and even brought out the wrong food to the table. Didn't listen to specifics when asked for no sauce or onions on dishes Staff told our 17yo they weren't allowed to sit alone without parental supervision despite being within arms reach yet there was a group of 14yo's all sat together at the end of the row with no parental supervision, nothing was said to them.

We went here on Thursday 2nd January, place wasn’t busy at all yet we had to wait 40mins on our order. Should have guessed service would be crap when the couple at table next to us got their order 20mins between each other. We were both starving and were in a bit of a hurry so we ate what we got. My chips were hard and cold, hunters chicken was lukewarm. Husbands burger was burnt. Have been here before and had a good meal but that one was awful. Would defo think twice about going again

Food was good, although had to wait an hour on it. Place was not busy. Had to ask twice for baby’s dessert even though it comes prepackaged. Service not very good. Toilets lacked toilet paper in most cubicles

Best value for money place that i have ever eaten at, ans I've been EVERYWHERE. We went to Scotland on little trip as a why not, stumbled across this place and it's really good.

flat pepsi followed by cold nachos and soggy fish & chips. don’t put liquid cheese on nachos, nobody likes it.

Just had Christmas dinner here for the 2nd year food was amazing service was spot on not rushed nice and relaxing atmosphere will definitely be returning

I am very disappointed after this visit. We are weekly regulars and I left a deserved positive review in October. What happened? The food was over 30 mins in arriving even with only 4 tables occupied in the place. The food was also lukewarm warm at best. Food described on menu definitely not what was served. Presentation and portion size very dubious. We were very disappointed and thinking do we try again or try and find somewhere else.

Was there with my son and grandchildren It looks like some people have to pay for the play area and some don’t and five pound for each child is a bit of when you are there for a meal so we won’t be coming back

Terrible lugar , todo está en el microondas y nada es fresco. Lo único que no meten en el microondas son las cosas que no pueden, como los filetes , el filete que yo había probado completamente apagado, era viscoso y tenía parches Grises tan claramente que no saben rotar stock o simplemente no les importa y tratan de reducir costes y esquinas donde puedan. Cada respuesta que tienen en Google a las malas críticas es "vamos a hablar de esto con nuestro proveedor" como una forma de culpar a otra persona en lugar de asumir la responsabilidad. No solo eso, sino que las personas contratadas claramente no son profesionales en lo más mínimo. Por ejemplo, el jefe de cocina había golpeado a un niño. Permítanme repetir eso, el jefe de cocina de este establecimiento golpeó a un niño.

We were a large party of 14, passing trade although we have been many times before. Tonight's experience has to be one of the most disappointing visits. Portion sizes were not what we expected. Smaller than usual. The beef lasagne, macaroni cheese both with garlic bread were awful. Microwave to death and garlic bread was burnt. The burgers had the largest portions and seemed the tastiest. Very disappointed. May be a very long time before we return

We went out for tea tonight looking to have a three course meal but instead waited around 20 minutes for our starters to arrive and then our starter played didn’t get cleared for almost 20 minutes and then we waited around 25 more minutes until our mains arrived this is ridiculous and such a waste of part of the evening we didn’t then order dessert as we were put off by how long the rest of the food took to arrive, the atmosphere of the place wasn’t great as their was kids running around a lot and it was noisy with them running around, overall not a good experience at all I wouldn’t recommend this place at all which is a shame because the food is nice but the wait time for food was ridiculous

Terrible service , went with my wife and 2 sons to have a meal on the way through dundee, my son's mac and cheese was cold and had to be sent back to be heated , also my burger was raw so sent it back and the waitress even said that it wasn't right , when I got it back I checked again and guess what ? Yep raw again , no one came near us to complain again nor did they come back to ask if everything was OK now so we got up and walked out in disgust !!! I for one will not be back ..... also there toilet doors either need a good clean or painted !

I recently visited Weavers Mill, and I have to say, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and cozy seating that made it feel like the perfect spot for a relaxed evening. The food was quite good as well, with myself ordering a cheeseburger and a lemonade.

If you’re a child you have to be taken by an adult.

For a chain restaurant, it does not bad. Ok the place is a bit cavernous and can feel cold. Nice staff, although a wee bit distant but polite. The food is nice . I have had the sausages and mash, the lasagne and the pie and potatoes on different occasions. All were perfectly acceptable and very nice. The sizzling dishes are very good. Good deals to be had. All in all, one of the better eateries.

The food was cheap and cheerful. The surroundings not so much, sticky tables and it took three attempts to find one clean enough to even sit at.

Took my family here for my daughters birthday, she loves a steak and has had a steak from here a few times, asked for it medium rare, came over cooked, easy mistake, asked for it to be redone, they took it away, a manager came back and tried to argue it wasn't over done, daughter showed there was no pinkness, they went away, another manager came out, arguing again, eventually brought out a raw steak. Ruined a birthday, you pay good money for an experience, not just the food, disgusting attitude, never going back. They have lost a lot of money for the cost of a steak.

Food was absolutely amazing, I had the sweet chilli halloumi (vegetarian) and it was the best halloumi I've ever had. My two friends both had the steak, cooked perfectly and the staff were really accommodating to their dietary requirements. Service was fantastic, really friendly staff who genuinely cared that we had the perfect meal and service. Food came out fairly quickly too. Been coming here for years, even before the remodel and I can honestly say it's my favourite restaurant. Cannot recommend enough.

Apart from the young lady who showed us to the table, the staff were uninterested with absolutely no interaction. We ordered via the app. Our starters arrived first - they were ok. Our mains arrived but our dishes from our starter hadn’t been cleared even though 2 members saw the dishes sitting whilst at the next table. I gathered the dishes while the young gentleman sighed. The food was bland and tasteless - the only items eaten were the chips. Again, nobody cared to clear away the dishes whilst we waited for coffees. When they eventually arrived the young gentleman told us that we’d have to take the coffees as there wasn’t any room for his tray to be set down. Once we distributed our drinks, yet again he walked off leaving all the plates…no please, no thank you….definitely NO coming back!!!

Was a very busy Saturday, and the staff on bar aimee michelle katie and bethany throughout the day were very polite and welcoming and interesting well recommend to all friends and family

the food was alright. good taste, good temperature, yummy chocolate cake. but had to be about 5 flies at our table. food and dessert took an hour to come. doors in ladies bathroom about gave me a heart attack. half the toilets were minging. bathroom floors are sticky

Food was 10/10, i had the old faithful buttermilk burger with hunters fries and it was scrumptious. Will be back again :)

Came here for a quick meal after going to the cinema ordered a plain burger and got it exactly as I had ordered, Katie did an excellent job ensuring my meal came as expected my only complaint is that it was a little dark.

Took the missus and the bairns out for a meal last week, prices were absolutely blimming beautiful. Minus the play area, wee jim cost me about 6 quid for him to get bored after a half hour, no fault o the staff, my wain just can’t stay still Ha ha! Food was bloody stellar (much like my pint of Stella, cheers bartender!) great selection for the missus and the bairns, cooked to perfection, had a wee wait at the bar, but the staff were absolutely wonderful to chat to. Service was brilliant, food came out pretty fast - considering it was a hockey day, congrats to the staff for being efficient! Place looks, sounds, smells and is absolutely fantastic! Would recommend, 10/10 coming again!

Food was disgusting the fish was very wet and the smell was terrible. And we had the steak chicken platter also disgusting . Never again.now today I have sick and stomach issues diarrhoea

The table was filthy so not a great start. Asked for garlic bread with no cheese and it came with cheese, not a great start as I am lactose intolerant. The chicken wings were cooked beyond comprehension. The mushrooms were old and had been reheated from yesterday’s breakfast. The steak was chewy and was served on a burnt skillet therefor the whole meal tasted burnt. Honestly wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. Won’t be returning.

I have been coming here for many years to visit, its normally really nice and welcoming and I have all my family up which all have food and drinks and spend alot of money. We visited this weekend and felt so uncomfortable the lady on the bar kept asking my sister if the drink was for her this happened 5 to 8 times just because we have kids with us. The older kids that were with us were over 18 and didn't even have alcohol drinks. Thus pub is worse each time we go we feel like they watch us like hawks and make us feel so uncomfortable like we feel like we have done something wrong when we are out for food and meant to be enjoying my family who I haven't seen for months sometimes years. The lady with blond hair and glasses on the bar is not friendly and needs to learn some customer service and how to talk to people. To feel like this after going here for 20 years is ridiculous.

Dark and dingy. Self ordering. Not at all friendly. Food not great. Bad atmosphere.

I think the macaroni was frozen from a supermarket and heated up. Very disappointed. Also the apple pie and custard were the same. Atmosphere wasn't good either and was a bit cold. Coffee was cold and food not very hot either. Nobody asked if everything was ok. One of us ordered peas with our fish and chips but didn't get any. Wouldn't go back there.

We had a table booked which made no difference as we just walked in and sat down. It was busy and we we're told this on arrival. We waited over an hour on food that didn't arrive at the same time. There were small children running all over the place unattended and climbing on tables, windows etc.

Food was not great. Drinks came and the fruit shoot was wrong flavour. Then the kids meal came and it was with chips not mash like ordered. Peppercorn sauce with steak was tasteless. Chips were fine but that was about it. The table was sticky and the place looked worn down and needs a good overhaul.

Food is very reasonably priced . Staff slow and had to asked to clear our starter plates when they brought our mains . Not much atmosphere but maybe better when it's busy or at night .

This place has REALLY changed from its old quirky look but I love it. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Good access for wheelchair users, all on one level as I recall. Food is great quality and there's s good choice, but bit of you've any allergies. There's no GF menu but some dishes available are effectively GF in terms of ingredients but they may well have been cooked in for example friars that are cooking battered fish etc.. For some GF advocates that may be fair enough, but not for all. They do have sone VERY limited Vegetarian and Vegan options. Pricing is quite good, group of 6 of us ate main courses and had one round of drinks - all large - for £47.

Food was tasty enough but portion sizes were measly like a kids portion had too order extras too fill my plate up also no one too greet you at the door too ask you what time you booked in for also too many uncontrolled children running around restaurant and so many times they almost clashed in waitresses with sizzling food had too get something else too eat later as felt hungry again.

We Were Running Late And Made 2 Attempts To Phone Ahead To Let Someone Know But No-One Answered The Phone On Both Occasions Then There Was No-One At Reception To Meet & Greet To Confirm Our Arrival And We Were Left Confused About How To Find Our Booked Table Until A Guy Wearing A Checked Shirt With No Uniformed Indication That He Was A Member Of Staff Came Walking Out The Toilet Area To Ask If We Were Alright. Also To Our Huge Disappointment The Main Meal Portion Size We Were Served Was Measly Compared To The Value We Paid For It, We Were Left Feeling So Glad We Had Ordered Sides Because The Meal Alone Wouldnt Have Been Enough Satisfy Our Hunger, We Had Been Looking Forward To Leaving Weavers Mill Feeling Full And Feeling That We Wouldnt Need Anymore Food For The Rest Of The Evening But That Wasnt The Case As We Felt Hungry Again An Hour Or Two Later. There Was Also 2 Kiddies Running About While Serving Staff Were Walking Around With Sizzling Hot Plates Of Food That You Could Hear Sizzling And Could See Steam Rising From..A Potential Situation Which Could Have Caused A Bad Accident For Someone

There was a huge party of us including children celebrating an event. It was the first time I had been so I signed up on their app and received 40% off our meal. The food was amazing, I ordered what I thought was fish fillets so doubled up thinking it would not be enough boy was I wrong I ended up with 2 big bits of fish on my plate. When I finished I asked if I could take one of them home. They kindly put it in a box for me. Would definitely go back again!!!

I wastoi late for free coffee refill, but it was a lovely family atmosphere, and dinner was delicious.

Have been to this pub for a meal every night this week as I was staying in the hotel next door that doesn't have a restaurant. The food has been good but tonight I decided on the Greek burger with curled fries. Something I don't normally eat. It was really tasty not overcooked. Really enjoyed it. The young waitress with black very long hair was lovely and helpful and you could tell she cared about the customers. Thank you

Came in for a quick bite to eat with some friends during the week and was served by Bethany, she was super helpful when asked if she could help me over to my table with the drinks and with no bother at all she was super attentive and helped me take the drinks to my table as there was a lot to carry, food was good and came out in a timely manner too. Great place to eat out, we all enjoyed it will definitely be back!

A dark, dreary and unkempt restaurant. The service was absolutely atrocious. We were told to queue to order drinks, whilst they served people who just walked up to the bar. The staff at the counter were hopeless. The manager must have seen that there was a problem but did nothing.

Went for a meal with my other half. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, definitely recommend the waffles for dessert.

Would highly recommend even for the fussy eaters as there is something for everyone, it was a but busy but we were served pretty quickly by Michelle who was friendly and brought out extra plates , food was hot and cooked as requested, good sized portions, soft play was a bonus , the girl in there was lovely with the kids

Tired interior decor. Not full table service when one member of your group has to get up and queue for 30mins to pay before meals are prepared. Might as well be a cafeteria.

Good meal but not the best with people vaping while eating

Went for food last week and left very disappointed and still hungry. I had the surf and truf but up graded my stake to stirloin. Did not get stirloin at all I got the basic rump and there was more fat on it than meat no one came to table to see if food was ok and my partner does not like me complaining so eat what I could. Also paid for an egg to be added but asked for a runny yoke nope was very hard. Peporcon sause God knows what that was but definitely not pepper corn

Took the grandkids there during school holidays, the food was reasonable and the price was OK, 2 adult meals for £11, the kids went to the play area, the main comment is that it was a bit cooler than the rest of the restaurant Plenty of parking outside

Ordered meals and the kids eat for £1 x2 but got charged the full price, husband ordered a curry wasn't told there was no rice... got his plate and had few things missing so he asked the waitress who said she would go check and never reported back to us.. once kids had their tea asked for their puddings twice before getting it's like staff aren't trained very well. Been a few times and same things happened. Quite poor service.

We really enjoyed the food, it was rather busy with the football on however slight delay on food which wasn’t major and didn’t affect our visit. Had some confusion when we arrived as we’d booked a table and some tables had bits of paper on them with the name and time of bookings but we couldn’t find ours. One of the servers, girl with long blonde hair was really helpful and nice. Also another server with long black hair who was lovely. Had our little girls dessert on hold and asked for it however took a while to come, we ended up leaving as we’d been there for 3 hours by this point. Didn’t love the ordering process, stood waiting in a queue for 20 minutes just to order our food and drinks but once at the till it went quite quickly. Didn’t feel there was enough staff for how busy it was. Kids area was great for the little one but wasn’t manned so some of the kids were running riot and trying to open the game machine with cutlery. Overall it was okay, wouldn’t rush back.

Booked for tea as a treat for grandson when we arrived written on a board at reception food 30-40 mins which I thought was acceptable after 55min I asked about delay was told at least an other 20-40 mins so we had to leave I feel a wait off an hour and half is no acceptable and not to be informed .The place was busy but not many tables had food served. So a very disappointed grandson had a McDonald's instead of his steak and chips .

Ordered two scampi’s in Dundee. Absolute rubbish. Cold and dry peas and chips and scampi. Not that hard to get right. Complained and was offered more peas. Not even a refund. Total joke never to return

Friendly staff, cannot complain about the service. The place was really shabby. Seats were slashed , table scratched , food was Dire. Fish was over cooked on the edges an near raw in the middle. I wont talk about the chicken pie.

Arrived to be waiting in excess of 5 mins to be seated. Ordered via the QR code and mains came relatively quickly. We had ordered pudding too so expected this would come not long after. 25 mins went by still no dessert so asked a staff member about it and then waited another 25 mins - so 50 mins over all on a dessert. I’d also like to add it wasn’t at all busy, at least half the tables were free. When it arrived the waitress slammed it down on my table and walked away. Dessert was actually inedible, it tasted rotten so we ended up just leaving. Minus 1 or 2 the staffs attitude is shocking and the place is a waste of money. Only enjoyable part of the whole experience was the football on tv. Mother’s Day meal ruined, waste of money, won’t be back!!

Can't rate the food. I never got the chance. We had booked into the nearby hotel and reserved a table after driving 500 miles (you'd like a little rest!). We had reserved the table online.. so you would expect a concierge a matron to direct guests? No told, sit wherever. OK, first table after 5 mins had to move seats the lighting was dim and appeared to be getting dimmer. At our new location, things were on the up. You could actually read the menus, and in fairness, it did look appetising and good value. (We have one of these chains near where we reside. they are faultless 5*) something this premises could learn. There were I counted 5 staff at the bar, 2 of which actually serving. Other 3 ferreting about. The two servicing couldn't have been 8 ft apart, so within ear shot of each other. Must have waited.. oh, 5 mins before one became free.. now I'm stood, holding a menu only to be told after repeating the order, don't do food only drinks, need to cue there pointing to her colleague. So I moved back to where I was originally stood, cueing again. More staff came and went. A few moments later, he finished serving a lady in front for him to go serve a chap who had then pushed in. This server saw me in the first instance, heard his colleagues redirect me back to him, watched me, then blatantly ignored me. Whilst serving somebody else!! That's a big big failing. We left, never ordering, totally annoyed to be treated so poorly or rather not to be treated as we were ignored! Would I return, not a chance, would I recommend? Well, I did notice that there are quite a few hotels within close distance with similar facilities. I'll leave that up for you to decide.

Another visit to Weavers Mill and another disappointment. This time the menu. It’s changed. Some of the best items on the original menu have now gone. Why? The staff couldn’t tell me. They didn’t know if there was an alternative. The coffee from the machine is still cool. Not cold. But not warm. The staff are still pleasant enough and when you order it does arrive in a timely manner but why is this place do cold. I really dislike eating with my jacket on but I hear I have to as it’s decidedly chilly. Have they fixed the testing from May 2023? Doesn’t feel like it.

Typical pub grub does the job. Staff friendly.
