Weatherspoons in Cannock Chase

I usually love a Weatherspoons but this one was terrible. Very dirty, tables crammed together, and the food was disgusting. Grey lumpy mash slopped on the plate, lumpy gravy, and tasteless cold peas. The steak and kidney pudding was edible - cant go wrong with a ready made pie you just have to microwave or shove in the oven really can you. I'd have sent it straight back but there was a 30 minute wait and I'd already waited 20 minutes. What a disappointment Weatherspoons, we wont be back. But I doubt that will bother them.

Ordered via the app and the food and drink arrived quite quickly. I'd ordered a halloumi and sweet chilli wrap, however when I was eating it I realised there was no sweet chilli sauce on the wrap. I asked a waitress if I could have the sauce in a little pot as it was missing and she told me right away that they didn't have any. It was really disappointing and more annoying that they didn't tell me it was out of stock when my order went through. There was also some dried on mayonnaise on my plate which hadn't come off from the previous person using it. This was the second disappointing visit for food there recently and unfortunately I won't be returning too soon.

Visited for breakfast. Not been for a while but what a disappointment! Firstly the place was not very clean, the glass screens between booths were dirty and splashed with dried on what looked like drink. I had to return the cutlery brought to our table as it was dirty. The bacon was missed of the breakfast and the toast positively anaemic! The black pudding was burnt. No Brown Sauce, only BBQ sauce the waitress told me they don’t do brown sauce any more, ?? Tend to think some one has ordered the wrong one? Very disappointed, not sure what’s gone on but it’s sad to see it so run down.

We went here today with family and the wait was 15 minutes. So ordered on the app. 3 steaks were ordered one was cooked right the other 2 were not . The mash potato was tasteless. I asked for a drink to be taken back to.have the ice out and it never came back. Will not be going back. Bad service and food was not very good

Lovely beer garden except for every table bar our own vaping constantly. They cannot breathe without a vape. Staff seen and not bothered. Shamful .

Poor management after asking for 54P refund for over charge (Josh) ordered apple pie and custard but told after ordering they didn't have any so we had to select another option and no apology from the manager and never spoke to us or acknowledged us

as with most spoons pubs , good choice of beer / cidres , warm , pleasant staff , a lot of different seating areas. had some lite bites from a good slection menu

Great meal, awesome staff even when there was the tiniest mix up with our drinks they ahd it fixed in minutes!!

great place for an afternoon with friends, Large beer garden. Great food and cheap. Would be nice to be served vs ordering at the bar for those of us from oversees

my family entered the hednesford weatherspoons at 6,30pm we eventually got our meals at 8.36pm over two hours to do four meals . Staff were rude and aggressive with no social distancing around customers. No pizza items and the app wasn't working but no one told us.Manager didn't apologize and kept saying she was doing her best.If they can't cope with the covers they need to reduce the tables, increase the staff or reduce the menu options.Over two hours for a birthday meal is unacceptable
