Wife and I were visiting Benone and called into Waves coffee shop and Bistro for a smack on our way to Portrush for a few days. We followed the signs and not sure where the front door was. They have a menu to sort all tastes. We had the Soda which was very filling and delicious with two latte coffees.

After our winter walk on Benone Strand, we were delighted to discover Waves in the Benone Tourist Complex nearby. The husband and wife team who run The coffee shop were more than friendly and their scones tasted delicious with an Americano. Highly recommended.

Sounds simple but they do something special with this sandwich, it’s the best one I have had. The menu is big for the size of the place and has something for everyone.

Cracking wee spot with fabulous food and cakes to die for. Very hard to resist when at the caravan, a byo night for dinner is the only improvement I can think of as it has everything else.

If you have a dog with you and your made to eat outside make sure it isn't overcast because after paying for your meal you won't be accommodated for inside if caught in a torrential downpour. For a family orientated park you need to get into the twenty first century.

We arrived early for our whale watching tour and they recommended a short walk around the corner to Waves. It was one of the best Lattes ever and the friendliness of the staff was equally enjoyable. My wife doesn’t drink coffee but had their Hot Chocolate (choice of Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate or White Chocolate - very impressive). Their pastries and food items are all very pleasing and good pricing!!

My partner and I stopped here after a good recommendation from family. The place is well kept with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We were pleased to find out we could sit outside with the dog and enjoy a fabulous chicken panini each. I asked for the chilli jam separate (can't be too careful with chilli ingredients IMO) which was no bother for them to bring it out in its own dish. Wasn't spicy at all and did make the panini even tastier! Staff very friendly, would definitely stop again as wanted to try the after eight sundae but was full due to the sheer size of the panini!

Very happy to of stumbled across waves today. I did not expect much due to being situated at the Holiday complex but everything we had was extremely tasty and well presented. Enjoyed it so much we actually talked about coming to stay at the complex knowing that this would be here to keep us well fed. Beautiful area, playparks right beside the cafe, take the kids and head out to waves, its worth the visit. Thank you to the lovely staff that serves us today!

We took our almost two year old to benone beach and stopped for lunch, it exceeded our expectations. Staff were lovely and the food was delicious- the little one had chicken and chips and devoured it, we had the onion soup and beef panini - def recommend it!

Nice enough little cafe. Over a weekend spent about £40 on breakfast and coffee in this place. Ordered pancakes for my son and asked if there was syrup when they were served. I was greeted with ‘you will have to pay for syrup’ £1 for a little small drop. Pretty poor. They cost themselves a tip and also this negative review. In the same area lively bar at the entrance to the camping complex. Give it a try the staff are lovely and don’t charge for a smile.

We visited cafe waves for the early bird menu on a Thur night. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. Kids all got cheesy garlic bread for starters, adults got a mix of garlic bread and nachos cheese and dip. Nachos were fantastic, best we have ever tasted. Kids then for main got burgers and chips, drink was included plus ice cream for dessert. Adults got fish and chips, lasagne and fries and bang bang chicken with sweet potato fries. Everyone really enjoyed. We got tea and coffee after and were really pleased with the cost. For 4 adults and 5 kids total was £95. Well worth it. We will definitely be back. This is definitely more than a regular cafe, a touch of class in the taste and presentation

Have been here a few times and both times have been made feel like a nuisance by some members of staff, I ordered the granola crunch and was told I would have a long wait because it was past breakfast, however my food arrived before my boyfriend's which was a chicken meal. Think it was just an excuse to complain and have something to say. another time however I asked for the same thing and was told no problem by a lovely brown haired women. It seems like some staff are very accomodating, whilst others (Two blonde hair women) are both really rude and always in a mood!

Called in for lunch today and staff were so helpful. They were able to accommodate us and serve us breakfast even at lunch time. We had scrambled eggs on toast, the mini fry, chicken goujons and sausage roll and chips. All this was delicious and food was good value for money. Lovely atmosphere with views outside. You order at the till and they bring food to your table.

Went into waves for lunch on Sunday. Weather was lovely didn't notice that dogs not permitted at the outside tables. Tied our dog up ordered food and paid to be told dogs not permitted in that area. The tables are all well spaced out and it is outside after all wouldn't expect to be able to take him in but this should have been fine. We where told to move to tables round the side which are not very nice and we where plagued with wasps not getting to enjoy or food of which we had paid good money like everyone else. I complained and was told it was a council rule. Even so there should be an area much nicer for dog owner's. It is a holiday camp after all and must families enjoying this with their pets. Whilst I was sitting there for that short time it was amazing how much business waves lost from people out with their pets and turning away. I should have really asked for a refund and not stayed. Won't be hurrying back. I was very disappointed!
