The Arcade Bar in Limavady

We visited this bar for a couple of pre-dinner quick drinks over consecutive evenings whilst staying locally for The Open. A warm welcome not only from Fiona behind the bar, but also all the “locals”. What a lovely atmosphere, and many thanks to the generous gentleman who stood us all (4) a round and wouldn’t allow us to reciprocate. The Dubliners were very favourably impressed.

I was in need of internet to contact the place I was staying so went in to have a beer (or two) and use their internet. Couldn't get logged on but they were very helpful and eventually I used one of their phones to contact the person I needed to. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME you made my day!!

I said I would give them 10 for their Washroom. So here I am. Warm Friendly Welcoming Spotless. A céad mile fáilte being their default mode.

Normaal gesproken is een pub met locals leuk, maar hier voelde ik me totaal niet thuis. Veel jonge mensen die naar mijn idee al veel te veel op hadden. Ook leken ze het raar te vinden dat er opeens wildvreemde 'toeristen' de pub inkwamen.

Difficile de trouver un bar dans ce village, mais il y en a deux dont celui-là. Sympa, mais un peu vieillot et une odeur de cigarettes froides. On peut y boire une bière après sans rien d'exceptionnel.

Attended a wedding after party here recently. There was a great wee group on the night who were very entertaining. A large crowd were present and it led to a fine nights craic. The bar is well run by a young local couple who have a number of staff on hand, all very friendly. Worth a visit for a good pint and if you are a sports fan then this is the spot..!!

Brilliant pub great banter and always packed best place to drink in dungiven Spent the weekend in dungiven and we were in this pub every night the music is also pritty good would definitely recommend a stop off here when your in dungiven

had a wee leaving doo for a work mate here. not being from the area I was a bit unsure of the pub. no need at all, the crack was great and a wee barmaid called Meghan Mc Nicholl made the night a great time for all. x

I wandered into The Arcade Bar in Dungiven for a couple of pints after photographing Dungiven Castle and met some of the nicest lads that I came to know during my tour of Northern Ireland. We had an interesting political discussion on the 2014 referendum in Scotland also of and the possibility of eventual reunification of Ireland, and it was with great difficulty that I had to make my departure when I did. The Arcade Bar is a typically fine little Irish pub for anyone who might find themself in Dungiven in need of a pint or two. Or three..........
