Watford Market in Watford

My family and I frequently visit the toy stall. The trader has a great selection of pre loved toys but always has new stock. My children and I love to have a browse for something new. Definitely recommend for value and selection.

Management company allows vendors to block the lift with goods, makes my todller with buggy inaccessible

Birria Tacos I’m glad we picked this place to have a quick lunch. The service was brilliant and the food was tasty. My daughter opted for the cheese quesadilla whilst I went for the halloumi tacos with Cajun fries. Definitely a worthwhile visit if in Watford town centre.

I recently visited the Watford Market and had a mixed experience. Given that it was a weekday, many shops were closed, which was quite disappointing. Among the open stores, the general hygiene was not very appealing, with some areas appearing rather unkempt. The sitting area, in particular, had an unpleasant sticky feeling, likely due to old grease. Additionally, I found the overall food prices to be on the higher side. Despite these issues, the market had a few interesting stalls and a variety of products, but improvements in cleanliness and pricing would be appreciated.

Lot taste from the different country

For an old market town more like shanty town. Only good thing is the fabulous fresh fish stall.

Quite a few bespoke stalls plus quite a few eating places

They have a bit of everything here from textiles to skateboards and amazing food from all around the world. Only thing let's it down is the entrance at the back. The footpath is always blocked with vans cars and motorbikes. Making it unsafe to enter or exit. I spoke to the people running the market but no change. Such a shame.

Not the Watford Market of Old I used to know. Most of the stalls were closed, and what was open were mainly food stalls. Will not be going back to the market.

A great place for shopping, eating, enjoying the atmosphere and just browsing to see the beautifully decorated stalks and vibrant atmosphere.

Watford market has great food and we commonly go to 'street food' as our regular for work lunches on our break, seems to keep growing by the day!

Amazing Caribbean food stall. Their curries are delicious. Chicken curry and curried goat. Delicious 😋

I've been coming to Watford market since the late 1970s. It used to be indoors with dozens of stalls selling food, household items, clothes, all sorts. Over the years it shrunk a bit, but was always nice to visit. Then the building was demolished to be redeveloped and the market moved outdoors. It's still going and is good if there's a stall selling the items you need. There's a lovely butcher, a couple of fruit & veg stalls and a selection of excellent food outlets. I'd say, come and have a look, if it's your kind of experience you'll be back, if not you won't. It's as simple as that. I'll always love it, market traders are my kind of people, genuine and honest.

A great place to spend a Saturday when it's sunny. A large and varied selection of restaurants and food stalls. Everyone finds something to eat that they like. The Japanese restaurant was very busy and there was no free place to sit. I loved the small thrift stores. On Saturdays there is also a small farmers market in the High Street.

Lovely food stalls , always have a fresh fruit and vegetables.

Always something interesting there- from variety of food to selling vegetables and fruit to handmade bread, candles, clothes. People are always kind to you and thankful. I tried their pizza, handmade cakes and their chicken wraps. Really tasty. Keep it up 👍

The market is really very good, so many things to try out. The location is fantastic and the food is not too expensive, being a vegetarian I didn't try all of the stuff but for others I think they will enjoy it. The only problem is so many things in a very small space.

Thai is very basic market hardly have anything special only a few bit and pieces which you can find them everywhere so been there once and won’t go again.

Terrible,I think Watford Council have for a long time wanted to get rid of the market. Put it in a dark corner and people won't miss it..

A place for local SMBs to display their hard work. Lots of choices. From Tuesday to Saturday, the market brings life to the Watford high street. Unique cuisines served, plethora of new pop-ups showcase their products. The best part is that you can buy fresh farm produce.

Walked through the market the other day, there was a lot going on especially with freshly cooked food.......... definitely worth a visit if you're in Watford. Not sure if it's open every day though ?

Market is a great idea and there are really cool restaurants there but unfortunately currently market is half dead; 50% of stalls are empty and it's not exposed so not many people are vising that place

What can you say! A failing market. Over half the stalls are closed! Speaking to some of the stall holders, they are struggling, and rent keeps going up. In the main high street, there are various food concessions. The seagoing containers are just wrong! Look at Camden market and learn how to improve Watford market. Smaller, more upmarket pitches with lower rent!

Amazing quality of fruits and vegetables. I also bought a super tasty pizza and homemade brownie from Ogy's pizza.

Not much going on at the market because us healthy people are quarantined. However, a burst of excitement across the street, The HARE KRISHNA'S!

A little hidden gem of market traders in Watford. Also if your a Vaper. Then a visit to Woody's Vapes is a must.

It's a disgrace. The council is trying to kill it off as a covered market. The only decent indoor stall is the fish mongers - and the only reason to go! Even though it's located in a wind tunnel!

Good effort to rejuvenate the old town centre

Nothing like the old vibrant Watford market which I loved. Crammed into a corner. Seems to be mainly ethnic food stalls, but I couldn't find anything that I would choose to eat. Did buy a bag from the handbag stall and when we got it home the price ticket damaged the leather surface when it was removed. Doubt if we will go there again.

Watford council and their greed need to stop charging so much for stalls at this market as they will all soon disappear and why did they hide it away when they could have had a covered area where the outside market is the Old Watford Market was one of the best it's now one of the worst.... the stalls that are there are amazing especially as they put up with Watford councils Greed

Horrible horrible tin shacked area. Only one visit since it opened, never again. Very poor disabled access and most of the stalls from the old market have gone. The one on The high street is also rubbish, but the fruit and veg stall is wonderful, lovely fresh fruit and veg. The only off put is the smell of the fast food stalls it makes me heave.

Common items,flowers, eating places

Sometimes you get good deal in fruits and vegetables but you have to consume with in a day. I mainly come here to get my eyebrows done, just £3.50

Love the food market here lots of different types of food stalls and great prices. Generally a really good market with all the other stalls aswell.

Interesting, Ave. "Saturday Market.". Food was the most interesting.

A bit of a letdown compared to the old market. The quality is there but the stalls inside are too congested and don't have enough variety. The stalls outside are better. We always use the fish stall as it always has fresh seasonal seafood; we especially love their shellfish.

Had some cooked food the kebab store is amazing always go for beauty treatments in there too and the seamstress is great

Disappointing as very little to buy, mostly just eating places. One good green grocers on High Street. Fishmongers gets 5 stars as brilliant. And good haberdashery stand.

Five star service for the the friendly stool holders, from fishmongers to vape stools, the location of the new market isn't ideal and due to its location is quite cold, even on a warm day, so wrap up before you leave. The council could do more to improve it and make it more welcoming to the public. 🌬️

New market don't make me laugh..blink and you will miss it..
