Washington Hot Food Bar in Belfast

Disgusted. Bioled rice was a blob of stuck together starch. Special curry had no beef and very little chicken or pork 3 prawms《which is normal) mostly sauce with onions. Very disappointed .price was dearer than most other chinese.

I’m gonna keep this short and sweet, it’s a sad day when I’m actually leaving a bad review for a Chinese that’s made me so many amazing meals, but then for years the chips were absolutely gorgeous but now !! Absolutely terrible not even real chips !! Potato flour which when they’re put in a gravy or curry sauce melt together in one big potatoey mess !! Which pisses me off that this was even considered an option by the owner as your meals are top quality if maybe expensive but they were worth it ?? Sorry guys

We have tried every Chinese you can think of and this is by far the nicest ever definitely our new regular. Everything was 10/10 and we both cleared our plates for the first time the flavour is amazing the crunch in the chips, the juiciness in the honey chilli chicken everything was unreal. Only downfall is not delivering to us:( but just a 5 min drive so we don’t mind having to collect.

Had a chow mein a few weeks back first time trying here it was delicious, how ever we got one again on Friday with a portion of chips , it was awful the chips were hard couldnt even find one that was edible, the chow men was awful it was so thick , gloopy and tasted like cornflour both were binned , total waste of money

Ordered roast duck in peking sauce. What arrived what some kinda batter in a sauce wasn’t duck and not like any I’ve ordered before. Nice chips. Bar that the rest got binned. Usually banging, just don’t order duck

Absolutely disgusting beef an tomato. sauce was like water no taste beef like rubber veg was raw and the chips must of been fried three times

Absolutely fantastic Chinese. Never had a bad meal out of here in the 10 years I’ve been coming! Will recommend to anyone. Drivers are class craic, front of house are so friendly and when somebody from back of house pops out you’re sure to get a smile and wave. Never a fault, best beef and bean sprouts in belfast!! Always melt in your mouth slices of beef with bean sprouts that never taste gritty (which you can find in other places) I’ve even started adding extra veg and the container is bursting with goodness!! Can definitely count on me and mine coming back!

Was here last week the food was great and the portions were more than enough. Service was great as always, will definitely be back.

How hard is it to cook food that people want to enjoy?

Very strange I’m not sure what’s going on but it’s been about a year since I last ate here and I actually went out of my way to travel here and tell my friend about how nice the food was. This time was different there is literally no taste felt so embarrassed. I actually refunded my friend the money. What has happened to this place ??? Don’t get me wrong it’s not horrible but it’s not the standard it use to be… it’s just cheap tasteless Chinese food now

Never again!!! Food standard has dropped to the lowest ever, over the past 3 years 😢😢😢 Manager doesn't want to know when you complain, he just makes out you were lying. Even tho you were not looking a free meal. Just expressing your opinion about your meal. Will never buy from them again. Meals destroyed with salt!!!!!!

Foods spot on, pity about the ignorant, baseball cap wearing O.A.P behind the counter who was disrespectful for no reason whatsoever... I'll not be back

Went by the good reviews but was disappointed with my order. Beef chow mein was bland.Chilli chicken slightly more flavour. If you like your curry sauce with a bit of kick this was nowhere close All in all not great tasting food and certainly not worth the £22price tag. Won't be ordering again.

Always an amazing feed, never disappointed. At times the waits are long but it's worth it for good food. Fair prices and generous portion sizes. All round great Chinese which you will get a great meal from.

Frequently order from here and usually have satisfactory meals but my recent one was a very unpleasant experience. I ordered a portion of chicken balls to go, got home and sat down at the table. It came to my attention that I noticed something odd on this piece, upon closer inspection it was a moth fried into the batter. Needless to say I won't be ordering here for a while until things get sorted out. Such a shame

We order every week without fail (if didn't the kids would kill me!) It's a real favourite and we have NEVER had a bad meal or service in the 4 years we've been ordering. Customer service is second to none and food is great! Can't recommend highly enough!
