Group of three ordered hot dishes chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki. One of the bowls had no chicken, returned it and they made me another one, no problem. 3 hours later and all 3 of us are suffering with stomachache and generally feeling unwell. Check out older reviews, they confirm poor hygiene conditions, avoid.

I really like the food - the vegan options. I usually have the yasai rolls, the dragon one is amazing but the regular one is too. I like that it is conveniently packed for takeaway. I haven't yet eaten in but I noticed the price is different for eat in or takeout - with takeout price being lower. Very reasonably priced good quality food. A good range of vegan options, though depending on the size of the store - I bought from different branches but all usually have several vegan options. Pictured is the dragon yasai roll, I also had a sushi selection and other vegan options.

FOOD POISONING! In mid-June, a friend and I had dinner from this place. We both ordered their so-called "Japanese Curry" to go. The first thing we noticed was that the place was far from being impeccably neat! We unfortunately disregarded our gut feeling and ordered our dinner. It didn't take long after ingesting our meal for us to get our first cramps. We instantly figured out what was going on! We were sick for a few days. Coincidence or not, two months later, I started being constantly tired with more and more episodes of nausea. After further medical exams, doctors found huge amounts of helicobacter pylori. This bacteria takes some time to settle in ones stomach! Of course, I will never have any proof to confirm any link between the two events... however, common sense and the same gut feeling I failed to listen to in the first place are stronger than ever! I want to mention that I rarely have food from such places, but my hotel was (unfortunately) very close to this place on that evening, and I love Japanese food (to which this place does NO justice), so I walked through their door... Also, to state the obvious, I am rather cautious regarding hygiene. Among many precautions I constantly take regarding that matter, I definitely wash my hands thoroughly and abundantly throughout the day. The last thing I'd like to add is that I never leave comments on Google... This says it all about my dissatisfaction!

Normally a fan of their sushi so tried the New Ramen offering for a wet cold evening away from home, the beef one. Big fail. Thin, mostly tasteless soup, minimal noodles and mushrooms and the total beef content is less that a single Mcnugget and tough as old boots, so suspect nothing more than ancle, jaw or some other off cut. I tried, but big fail. Flushed it.

Stupid worker it was a lady, tanned skin not quite sure on her ethnicity but it doesn’t matter , I go in and paid for my sushi eat in so the total was £10.45 then I was hungry and I bought and paid another sushi which was £4.45 normal price to takeaway and to eat in it would be £5.45 , I told her straight away as I walked to check out that it would be takeaway so I paid the £4.45 then I was with my friend so I go up to my friend and wait for her to finish her food so that we can get up and leave , this stupid worker unprofessional shouts across the shop and says that it declined keep in mind this was a lie , so she says to tap again and this time I look at the card machine and it says £5.45 so I say to her ‘excuse me why is it £5.45 and not £4.45 then she said ohh because you are eating in , I said no I’m not eating in just because I went back to my seat and sat down waiting for my friend to finish doesn’t mean I’m eating in , then she made a dumb face and turnt quiet so I go to sit back down then she comes again and she starts saying I’m waiting for you yeah I said what the hell I literally paid , then I check my bank transactions and I see that my £4.45 payment did go through and didn’t decline so she is just a liar , if she knew how to do maths she would atleast then think that instead of putting the whole total for the sushi box that it would only be the difference in money to get to the £5.45 but keeping mind that’s only if I was to eat there and I wasn’t planning to. I go up to the checkout and the manager was there I asked where she was and he said she went home I said no she didn’t go get her please then she came and she didn’t even want to look at my phone when I asked politely for her to look at my phone she kept saying no I’m not going to look no no listen to me the receipt is going to show , I said well your manager is being respectful and actually looking at my phone so can you please do the same and she kept being blunt and rude saying no . Honestly I won’t ever be going back to that sushi place again in Tottenham Court Road rude staff I hated my experience I even lost apetite.

I went in 3 mins before closing and no sushi left but lots of curry’s. The curry had a layer of skin on top so clearly had been out awhile, I asked if the half price discount was available (usually offered before closing) and was told no full price even though it would be throw away in 2 mins time. Such a shame they are wasting so much food, if you can’t sell it don’t waste it. Terrible for the environment too all the unnecessary produce. Maybe the guy was taking it home I hope.

Disabled users - best to avoid this place for now. Food and service was as good as expected for the price but the disabled toilet was a in a very poor state. The disregard of the needs of a wheelchair user led to my one star rating. There was no seat on the loo, making it difficult to use, and the hand drier wasn't working. The manager said it had been like it for a "long time" but she that could do no more than keep reporting it. She was told that there was no money available to fix it. No excuse not to get it fixed asap.

Absolute disaster. I haven’t been to Wasabi for a while but I was really craving sushi or katsu curry so I made an effort to walk there from Euston station to grab something to eat for the journey. The sushi looked messy and I wouldn’t touch it through gloves. Hot food was all dried up and the curry sauce had a big dried up patch on the top. Is it so difficult to stir it from time to time? Cured me from ever eating Wasabi again

to be quite honest, I didn't feel much flavor when I ate it, I didn't feel that magic flavor that represents good sushi, it seems a bit industrialized that pattern of making a lot and quickly selling it and not even worrying about that quality of flavor everything is kind of frozen or close to the most colder than usual... I've had excellent sushi around the world and this one left a lot to be desired! I was a little disappointed because it is a famous franchise brand. but you can eat. Sorry to report my experience.

Today I went to wasabi. The second I went to the till the cashier looked at me as if I did something to offend her. I usually go to this wasabi as it is close to my workplace and the workers are kind however this one was very bitter and it showed. She asked if i wanted cutlery and as I didn’t hear her and thought she was asking if I wanted to eat in to which I replied no thank you. She then asked if I wanted any forks ( which i thought was the first time she asked about cutlery) to which i replied yes. Upon that she froze and looked at me. She said in a rude rhetoric tone, ‘ I asked if you wanted cutlery and you said no so why do you want it now’ and shoved the fork into my bag. I understand I misheard but really, was that necessary at all? Is it that hard to just put the cutlery in the back if I said yes? I had a long tiring day and just wanted a nice meal but left feeling belittled . Small things like that can really ruin a persons day. As there was a queue, I left without replying. She was east asian female worker.

Great food! This particular Wasabi had a great range of options - some that I haven’t seen in other branches. Plenty of hot and cold options to suit all needs. There was a good variety of snacks and drinks too. Definitely one of the better Wasabi’s that I’ve been too.

Seems like the owner responds to 4&5 star ratings but not to negative ones. Two weeks ago I happened to walk into this store just before it closed and bought sushi. Was given a 50%discount. Was a pleasant surprise. Yesterday walked in at the same time but got no discount for the exact same item. And the staff (a guy) wasnt even polite about it and avoided eye contact when i asked him. What's happening ? Should I report this? Is your staff taking it?

I asked for a refund when I passed the shop later that day as the food was taken back to work with me, and the team leader was dismissive and said I should have taken a photo as proof. A popular go-to place for UCL students. It is like Japanese fast food, it offers 50% discount for most items 30 minutes before closing times. I will have to warn you here though, if you are going to Wasabi because you crave for Japanese food, you have came to the wrong place. The presentation is alright, but the hot food tastes absolutely horrible and makes you feel sick after a few bites. What you pay for is what you get, do try somewhere more central in London for proper Japanese cuisine.

Wasbi, is a great place to go grab something quick that's tasty, warm to eat when in a hurry. This place was fairly clean, service was very fast, staff helpful. Only problem was the toilets were closed no were to wash your hands not great when there is a pandemic gripping the nation and the whole place is a plastic palace! With all wasabi food outlets, the potions are a lot smaller than before, for £6.00 you done really fill a hole as they say.

I like the concept where you go in, grab the food you want, pay a very fair price and go. The staff however seemed not very happy with their jobs!? I would not sit here to eat as it is like a cafeteria. Bright light and people walking around and in and out at all time.

I give it a low score because this pub is as just a tourist/ traveller trap. No atmosphere, staff good but no personality. I'm local so I recommend the authentic boozers nearby like the Dolphin literally across the rd. Proper landlord there. Or the Skinners even . Or the Boot which is proper old school London. This pub in no reflects the vibrancy of the area nor the character. It's inauthentic and overpriced. Made for the visitor . No local would be seen dead . I visited to see it but never again.

I tried the dim sum menu, and it was okay. It was a bit overpriced compared to Chinatown and my only issue is that I wished the savoury croquettes had a bit more filling inside as I like croquettes. 👍 I really enjoyed the chicken with jellyfish; it was exceptionally delicious and fresh. I would recommend trying it. The interior is quite clean, and I didn't expect to see fish tanks with live lobsters and crabs. The service was average and quiet when I was here, though it was the start of dinner time.
