Warren's Restaurant & Bar in South Staffordshire

The staff were so accommodating of our needs and the food was really delicious. I'd definitely go back again and try some more if the delicious menu. Very filling meals too, I went home full after one course!

First time for Sunday lunch which was excellent. Good choice of starters and great roast with cauliflower cheese and mash separate, included.

Visited on 18/09 lunch time as my wife had been wanting to coming for a long time, she was delighted that they were able to do her the seafood chowder even though it wasn’t on the menu for the time of day! We also got some items from the deli which were delicious! Can’t wait to visit again and would thoroughly recommend!

Lovely restaurant, belly pork amuse bouche divine ,oysters fresh and superb, and the seafood boil was to die for. Staff really friendly and the deli is really nice. Very clean ambiance and the price is fantastic. A Must try restaurant for everyone. Will definitely go back.

We went with family on dinner today , we heard a lot nice things about this restaurant and I’m thinking that I heard about the same place.. we ordered from Sunday menu , starters was good also food for kids was fine but mains wasn’t good. I’ve ordered steak medium which comes cold also main my partner was cold, he’s order medium steak he got rare.. We spoke with waitress she sort it and she’s bring fresh food for us but my steak was made as well done this time , fires was burn. We spend over 70£ and we back hungry. Someone on the kitchen should take lessons how cook steak properly ;) I’m not recommended , waste of money.

Hi there ,just got back from a lovely meal at the warrens , but I just need to say the service wasn’t great tonight,food was excellent 👌 but the the service in between our courses wasn’t there ,for the cost of the night we shouldn’t have to ask for the dessert menu to look at and then ignored to the point we decided we would have ice cream at home in the end . At one point we noticed one of the waitresses didn’t know what table the food she bought out was for , she had to ask another member if she new ( we sat close to the entrance) same waitress was more concerned about her hair 😟then I went to toilet and no loo roll in any cubical … been to the warrens a few times over last few months and dawn ( think that’s her name )is very observant and very attentive to our needs but you could tell they were lacking tonight in supervision, pls take on board my disappointment In our meal tonight…,, kind regards Jo and Terry xx

Our first visit last night but it definitely will not be our last! The food was absolutely amazing, so tasty and well presented. The cocktails were also amazing 😍 The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant has been decorated to a high standard and although we didn’t try the new deli it all looked lovely so I will be going back for a visit. If you want high quality food at reasonable prices in beautiful surroundings then Warren’s is the place for you.

Absolutely amazing food With eleven of us there, everyone said how good it was. Proper nice food that does not cost the earth. Think we paid £22 for main and dessert. All in all a lovely late afternoon meal.

Visited this restaurant to celebrate my early retirement. The service , atmosphere, surroundings and food could not be faulted. A lovely evening with my family that will be repeated in the near future.Thank you to all the staff for their hard work

Had starter which was amazing . Roast beef mains on the tough side but a good mixture of vegetables. Friends had the pork and said was wonderful. I didnt have a dessert but they went down well with the ones that did. Yes i would return .

Menu looks fancy as does food, but in reality some strong flavours mixed with some very bland flavours, so not a pleasant mix. Croquettes were pastey. Food served warm not hot. Main waitress good but others seemed very uninterested. Chairs and tables all wobble in different directions. Think the price reflects what they are trying to deliver but falling short on all counts unfortunately.

What a lovely experience and exceptional food. The area has been crying out for somewhere decent to eat and Warrens have answered! The care taken over the service is wonderful and the taste and quality of the food is second to none. This will deffo be my new go to place to eat. incredibly good food and oysters and caviar! Don't like to be a one star review, but I feel I have to this time. Having booked a table for mother's day and paid a £40 deposit, we had to cancel on the Friday due to our daughter being taken into hospital. We explained the situation and asked if we could roll on the £40 to another time to use , only to be told no because they could not fill the table slot time . Out of curiosity I phoned today to see if they had a table at our booked time and was told they are fully booked. Surely if they could not fill our table slot then why say they were full . Maybe a little discretion would not have gone a miss. Will not book / use this restaurant again. All we asked for is we could use the £40 deposit on a future date , we did not want the money back

Our first visit since becoming Warren's, had been previously when it was Masons, and all I can say there has been a vast improvement. We had the set lunch menu, food was very tasty and piping hot, all in all a pleasurable experience, I'm pretty sure we will be returning sometime soon.

On entering the building I could smell the men's toilets so it wasn't a good first impression but once past the bar area and into the restaurant it was really nice. We both ordered 2 courses from the Christmas menu, I had King Prawn and Smoked Salmon cocktail with bruchetta and it was delicious, so nice I forgot a photo! My main meal was the Christmas turkey dinner and my friend had the beef. Very good food presented beautifully with exceptionally tender meat. Staff were attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

Service was very slow and waitress who was serving was nice but the one on the bar was not welcoming and stood there giving us dirty looks Food was bland and all tasted the same was very disappointing

Booked last minute for a Christmas get together for 6 people. Food was excellent service good and friendly and reasonably priced for the quality

Attended for family Christmas meal. Childs menu Crudite sent out with tarta sauce instead of hummus!! By the time they were going to change it. He had eaten the crudités. A friend asked for water glasses they had been used. Wrong drinks sent to table. Asked for 3 lemon and limes. Sent lime and soda water. Extra drinks on the bar bill which were not ours. This was rectified. Spoilt the evening. Not up to their usual standard.

Came here with my young daughter for lunch she had fish and chips and I had a burger both were delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit! Thank you

This was our first visit and the place is absolutely beautiful, it really is a lovely looking restaurant. We booked our table for 3pm a few weeks ago for our first wedding anniversary. When we arrived the lovely lady showed us to our table and made us aware that we would be the only ones in there due to them making the decision to stop serving food at 3pm but because we made the reservation before they made this decision they kept our reservation for 3pm, this is such amazing customer service that they honored our reservation. If they had called and asked if we could have moved our reservation time we would have happily moved this to accommodate them but the fact that they honored our time anyway is such a lovely thing. The food was stunning , I had the chunky steak cottage pie and I must say this was the best cottage pie I've ever had and my husband had the cod and chips to which he said was absolutely delicious. The menu was very limited however this is not generally a bad thing because it means that the food they actually cook is of an exceptional level. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful place and we will definitely be back to try the Sunday menu. Thank you so much for a beautiful meal for our first wedding anniversary, and thank you to the lovely lady serving us and to the chef who cooked for us.

Fab place for food, really lovely, atmosphere was cosy, as we had the conservatory, only thing let it down was, the staff. A couple of the girls couldn't do enough for us, but the other couple of girls didnt crack their faces, there was no chat, felt like they didnt want to be there. We were a large group, spending alot of money, its a nice place for a couple, but couldnt cope with a crowd. Cocktails had to be ordered also as only one girl to make, and not enough glasses.

First time visiting since changing owner's and it didn't disappoint. We had been away in Cardiff and travelled back to have a meal on the evening. The food was delicious I had Thai Monk fish & prawns curry which was cooked to perfection and Matt had Lamb Rump which melted in his mouth. We shared a dessert and again all homemade and very tasty (bread & butter pudding ) overall a lovely evening and we cannot wait to return. Well done to all the staff .

Very nice ambience and good service. One criticism was I asked for a hanging kebab, not realising it is a full chicken on the bone still. Bit disappointed it is not mentioned on the menu, most people will say , what's wrong with that. I can't eat meat of the bone. All in all though a nice place

Visited for lunch on Saturday. £14 for 2 courses / £19 for 3. Fantastic value for very good food. The service was slow but I'd still recommend it. Shame there weren't more people in - put your menus online and promote the deals and you'll get loads more people through the door!

After visiting at both lunch and evenings, the food has always been great, large portions, good value, friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit!

My friends and I had a lovely meal, the staff were very friendly, no complaints at all. We were there early evening so it was quiet, the atmosphere was difficult to rate.

Sue and myself have just had one of the finest Sunday lunches in a long time , I can honestly say it was delicious and great value for money . Sue had pork I had the beef we had the three course menu for £24 it’s perfect , warrens keep doing what your doing we will be back very soon .I’m having the lamb next time

We went to celebrate a birthday. Lovely place and the waiting staff great. Our table was booked for 7.15 but we didn't get our meal until 8.30. Although we appreciate good food takes time to cook this was a little far stretched even for me. The veg too were more raw than al dente too. However the pudding was to die for.

Last night, I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Warren's restaurant with four of my friends, and I must say, it was far from the enjoyable evening we had hoped for. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that there were some serious issues with the service. First and foremost, my meal was completely forgotten, despite being reassured by the staff that it was on its way. While my friends were left to watch their food grow cold, I waited patiently for a dish that never arrived. It was not only a matter of inconvenience but also a breach of trust – being told that my meal was coming when it clearly wasn't. When I finally enquired about my meal after a frustratingly long 10 minutes, the response was even more disappointing. The staff suggested that they could compensate for their mistake by sending me home with a takeaway box. I did not plan to attend a restaurant for a takeaway! There was an offer of a complimentary drink however this was quickly rescinded as the chef felt enough was done to compensate for their error by provided the meal as a takeaway with no charge. How disappointing. It felt like a half-hearted attempt to make amends for their blunder. What added to the frustration was the apparent lack of organization among the staff. It seemed like a team (loosely termed here) of inexperienced individuals who didn't know who was in charge or how to handle such situations professionally. This entire experience cast a dark cloud over what should have been an enjoyable dinner with old friends. The poor service and the staff's inability to handle a simple mistake left us all feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. It's disheartening to see such a decline in the quality of service at Warren's, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve in the future.

Warren's Bistro in Penkridge was fantastic. So, I expected the same quality but was sadly disappointing, which is a shame. Having to bat away off the multiple flies during our meat was also annoying.

Had lovely meal with friends on a Wednesday night booked at 8pm had eaten by 9.15 and was from then on ushered uncomfortably out the door was told once we left the table at 9.30 they would be calling last orders we had one drink in the bar but again was made to feel uncomfortable because everything was being switched off around us and when trying to sit outside all the seating and tables were taken inside. Thought someone was playing a joke even got the lights outside switched off on us and left by 9.45 thought it didn't close till 11.00pm a shame foodwasso nice but the evening was so disappointing

Went for lunch on Thursday as we’d used their place in Penkridge which was superb .... arrived at 1.15pm as they are open all day to see the place about a third full. We were told they couldn’t accommodate us as we hadn’t booked .... website doesn’t indicate booking is mandatory... will never return !

Firstly, I went for to Warren’s for my 21st birthday and it was amazing. Food was great, service and atmosphere was incredible. Lovely place to have a birthday meal and so much to choose from on the menu. They even have a Gluten free option. :) overall very satisfied

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Meat was cold, potatoes were not cooked properly and the staff didn’t know what they were doing. When we explained this to the waitress another was sent over to say that she could knock the bill off one meal and not the other, shouting about the situation when we were trying to be discreet. They made me to feel embarrassed when it should of been them.

We visited for a late breakfast. We were the only people there, yet our food was barely warm and that was despite waiting 20-25 minutes. The cocktails were poor and tasted as though they were pre-mixed/ready made. Disappointing. Won't be visiting again.

Excellent service especially as we turned up thinking we had a table booked but we hadn’t, most places would have just turned us away. The gentleman on the bar and Dawns service was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was gorgeous and the atmosphere was fantastic, would highly recommend!
