Got chicken satay and fried rice the rice was hard and the chicken was slimy and jelly like if I’m being honest I don’t even think it was chicken. Phoned up to complain and was advised this is how the chef cooks it. AVOID awful food and awful service

Brief encounter at Wan Lam (The Lonely Shepherd) I met her at the Lonely Shepherd It must have been the witching hour she said I was her Szechaun chicken I said 'I fancy sweet and sour.' 'I'll maybe try the battered sausage' she said and smiled with ample cheer She saw me squinting at the menu then said 'they dinnae serve it here'. Confused I said 'well, try the chippy it's gey late though - ye might have missed...' '...Yer chance' she said, 'it's getting nippy a shame ye didnae get the gist'.

Be aware this is a cash only takeaway! Service was quick, food was decent but nothing special. Will happily come again!

I always use this restaurant, the staff are lovely and nothings too much bother! Never had a complaint about anything!

Used to be my go to years ago and we stopped a while back as it was going down hill. . Decided to try again as someone said it’s under new management. Chowmein was tasteless and dry with hardly any chicken and had to add lashings of soy sauce to get flavour. Salt and pepper chips were the same and I actually had to put some of my own spice to them for flavour also. Won’t be back. Plus was prawn crackers but you can’t really mess them up.

Just barely made it through the door before they closed at 22.40pm. Lovely reception by staff, fantastic food made to order. Will definitely not regret trying this Chinese takeaway.

I order from this place every weekend and I can assure you, it is the best Chinese in Scotland!! So nice and full of flavor!! Not to mention the most polite and helpful staff!! Keep it up guys!!

Just recently moved to the area and was wanting a takeaway, as Wam Lam is just down the road from my house I thought I'd give them a try, I will definitely be using again, the food was delicious and very generous portions, definitely worth five stars.

I have used this carryout since 1980 and have had no complaints. The reason I am writing this review is to let customers know you only get 1 bottle of coke, small spring rolls, prawn crackers and two fortune cookies no matter how much you spend over £25. Last week my order was £86 I still only got the above mentioned extras so keep that in mind if ordering a large amount and expecting More. By the way the food was excellent

I like this Chinese, food is always tasty for all the meals we have had. Never had any issues. I always collect as delivery can be slow if they are busy. Depending on when you order the wait could be 15mins or 45mins for collection

Love the hot and sour soup. Super Deal good value £7.95 for starter and main course with rice. (Hot & sour soup is one of the starters!)

Good quality chinese takeaway situated on the west side of Dunfermline. Prices are in line with other local takeawayscand orders can be phoned in for either delivery or picking up. IMO they do one of the best lemon chickens around but be careful on their Munchie Box because although the contents are good they can put too much salt / seasoning on it which made it inedible for us.

Food arrived hot, within 35 minutes. Huge portions, with a free bag of prawn crackers. Now I have eaten too much! We will definitely buy my Chinese take aways from Wan Lam in future. Thank you, all!

We placed an ordered and expected delivery at 7.30pm tonight (45 minutes after placing the order) its now 8.40pm and still no sign. This is after 2 phone calls requesting an update. I just wish people would set realistic expectations. Update 9pm - its now arrived and in the microwave. Last update - As ever the food was amazing hence why the star rating has increased.

Very quick service and the food was pretty good although there are a few better takeaways nearby. The delivery drivers need to mind their language, not very professional.

Food poor compared with previous management, always receiving complaint on the phone when I'm in and don't always act how you would expect them to when the phone is put down

I didn't ever manage to get my meal as the service was so totally incompetent. I phoned through my order but when I got there and waited, it turned out to have been lost. So, had to re-order and having waited again, whilst others, who came in after me were served, still nothing. As I hadn't yet paid, I walked out. Hopefully, they will eventually get around to cooking it...but not for me. I would have given them zero stars but unfortunately it won't post, so had to give a single star..

Recently changed owner who changed the recipes, however has managed to keep the quality of the food rather high

Ordered a takeaway at 8 pm and told would be 45 mins and didn't arrive at all. Tried to call and no answer at all! Shocking service won't ever be using again and advise no one uses them!

Ordered my usual meal and when i got home it was totally different from normal. I phoned to let them know and was told thats how they always made it... no its not.

Shocking service!!!!! Phoned for a takeaway at 8.15pm and didnt arrive at all! Phoned several times and was lied to as i was told food was on its way. Went to this takeaway for years but since its changed hands will never be back! AVOID!!!!!!
