half hour on a Thurs night bit much.

Ordered Haddock and chips plus curry and peas was absolutely top class quality was unreal..keep it up. Will be ordering again.

Food was hot and fresh, good variety on the menu which meant everyone could be pleased. Always have decent food and service from there, usually collect but had guests over

Held me hostage till I bought something and boss damanded I had a long sausage while he watched me eat it intently

Ordered a regular cod and chips. The cod was very small and the fish stale; tasted like it had be refried or left under the heating lamp all day. Chips stale and most likely refried or had been sitting under the lamp all day too. Overall not what I expect from a fish and chips takeaway, especially being one of very few fish and chips takeaways available local to the Waltham Abbey area. Would not recommend to anybody and very shocked at this standard and quality of food.

This Place Is Shambolic, Tax Evasion! Every time I order from this place I get told I should be paying by cash or to transfer by paypal. Attitude is completely wrong, Card Reader is only used on certain customers. Even if I chose to spend more as the guy told me spend more for card payment. The next time I tried he still complained why not pay cash. Today living is mostly by card and tapping your phone this place is daylight robbery

Ordered Sunday early evening. Stale chips, Luke warm dry fish. Obviously been there for sometime. Disappointed.

Really nice food! Will deffo order again! Just wish I ordered the mixed kebab as the combo kebab portion size was on the tad small size.

Awful place. Tried to make me pay by cash and when I didn't have any tried to make me go to Tesco for cash while my food git cold. When I wanted to pay by card, they added a premium for paying by card which is illegal. Then tried to take my food back for complaining. Food not good. Meat dry and small portions. Chips had lots of little crusty bits. Salad was mainly lettuce and onions with one tomato and a couple of cucumber slices for a family meal. Two little pots of sauce for a family meal - a bit mean I won't be back. There are plenty other good fish and kebab shops in Waltham Abbey and the Cross that have good food and good service. I would give 0 🌟 but 1 🌟 is the minimum

The food was tasty, hot and good portions. Delivery was bang on and my guy even waited for me to take the order. Thank you the the restaurant staff.

Don't take card payments. Sent me to a cash machine which was out of order. Called them out of courtesy to let them know and they tried to get me to do a bank transfer. Why do they not take card payments. Was going to tell them to deliver it as I had cash indoors but thought they deserved to lose the business.

Love this place! Order accepted quickly. Food is banging. Cures the hunger!

Order was for delivery , then told they have no drivers. They agree to deliver after phoning restaurant but they say they will charge an extra £6. Not happy at all

Lovely food although they Forgot our drinks for our order. Spoke to restaurant and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. No trouble to them at all. Very apologetic. Definitely order from them again.

The cod was SO fresh and tasty. Cooked to perfection. The chips portion was generous and they were also tasty. Saveloys slightly undercooked and lukewarm though but will still order from them again.

Ordered on the phone. Told them I need to pay by card and it states on the leaflet all cards accepted. My order come and I said I am paying by card the driver was like no that’s only instore but doesn’t say that on the leaflet was made to order through just eat and pay more for my order.

Undercooked donner and savaloy. Smallest savaloy I've seen in my life! Lamb shish did not taste of much. Chips were nicely cooked but too small for a large. Delivered fast. Don't get that full feeling you should have after a good meal.

Worst customer service, very arrogant when speaking to and getting annoyed when asking prices starting pointing at menu like he was superior. Ordered fish and chips and donner but after a few minutes changed my mind to two fish and chips and he kept shouting and demanded he will not make the change and I should pay right now. Hygiene of the place is very low fish and chips and donner was not nice. Had a disgusting smell and taste. I would not even feed this food to my enemy.

I go to this ‘chippy’ regularly: the kebabs (lamb particularly) are just delicious, the haddock is succulent, and I would recommend it without hesitation, however, yesterday, while my husband had his usual kebab, I fancied something lighter so I ordered their veggie burger with chips and I am unhappy to say it was just about the most dreadful thing I have ever eaten. It had been deep fried, no salad, no dressing, no cheese, just horrible. I took one bite and threw it away, don’t know what went wrong but they need to ditch this offering. So sad.

Was surprised that at 7pm the shop was empty, but therefore fish and chips cooked fresh within ten minutes. Generous portions of rock eel and chips from £8 - cooked promptly by polite staff ! 50p price increase from the last visit, three years or so ago.

Order a fillet chicken burger and chips on Thursday night, in the night was up being sick, stomach pains, was sick for 2 days and high temperatures for 2 days, ended up in hospital, with dehydration, from food poisoning. dont eat here, l want every again.

Nice takeaway fish is always freshly cooked and the kebabs are delicious and have the best chilli sauce, so hot yummy.

Everytime we go to this Fish Bar we always have to wait for chips to be cooked,honestly they should see what's left and cooked more when needed,not make customers wait. It's really disheartening,but the chips were ok.

Walked past the window, 1 guy was sat picking his finger nails looking bored (at that point I should have walked past, but I was hungry) so ordered Donner meat and chips. Nice fella behind counter. £6.30 though for meat and chips is well overpriced. The Donner meat was disgusting and I couldn't eat it! Chips were ok... I'll say AVOID

Awful we both threw it away !!! hard chips no taste couldnt even taste the vinegar only thing good was they were hot but we are sure they had been dropped in the fat after being cooked earlier Absolute waste of money

A few good experiences but anywhere close to 10pm the quality drops through the floor inedible swill over cooked and undersized I hope to be leaving a better review in the future as I've informed them of their inconsistencies before.
