Wahaca St. Paul's in City of London, Westminster

Brilliant food. Everything was so fresh and vibrant. Staff were very friendly too. Would recommend!!

I like going to Wahaca as it's a quick option for business lunch or lunch with friends. Good food, fast service and reasonable prices. A couple of suggestions: don't push for over eating eg. suggest lunch for 2 with lots of different dishes when we were only looking for a light lunch -> waste of food. Also, share specials BEFORE we look at the menu. By the time the waitresse explained the specials, we were ready to order and time was ticking...

Went with a large group of friends. Service was great, and good food selection especially for the price! Would go again.

They have a whole vegan menu with a range of street food (order 2-3 plates) or you can get a burrito. Reasonably priced, super quick service. Friendly waiting staff.

Some items were pretty good such as the tacos - however it was let down by the burroito that was essentially 95% rice, beans and wrap and 5% max of chicken - it was extremely dry and I would be interested if any chicken was actually added! Also, I did not like how we were forced to review the food by using an app even though we asked for the bill not a phone with a food reviewing system on. I wonder how often they clean the phone they place on the table as it seemed very unhygienic passing a phone around to review the food. Overall, the restaurant was clean (although soap taps weren't working in bathroom), waiter was fine, but food was so-so.

Food was great but service a bit lacking. On arrival, despite reserving there was quite a wait for a table despite there only being about 5 groups of diners in. Took a long time (around 30 mins) to clear plates and take desert order, which was not put through correctly first time so again took a long time to arrive. Couldn't fault the food but service needs to be sharper.

Had food here tonight which was great with excellent service also. But when the heating is not working surely they need to send staff home for health and safety reasons, I felt sorry for the staff working till close this evening it’s not fair and free Tea & Coffee does not make up for this in my eyes

We went to Wahaca by default after being let down elsewhere, great and friendly service food pretty goodv and very good value.

Been to waccha loads of times and the food is always great. This vist was special as it was the first time we had taken our daughter (2 months old) out to a resteraunt in central london.

We ordered guacamole, pumpkin squash taco and pool pork burrito. I really didnt like my dish and they asked if i wanted to swap mine. So i swapped it for the cauliflower bites. They where delish! And i didn’t had to pay for my pumpkin taco! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice selection of drinks and wide array of food for all our needs (intolerances / vegetarian, etc). Ordered too much food as everything sounds so appealing. And tastes even better. Can't wait to go back.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir sind gleich am nächsten Abend nochmal hin weil uns die Mexikanischen Nachos (sieht man auf Foto 2) sehr gefallen haben. Der Style des Restaurants war sehr einladen und entspannend die Mitarbeiter sind auch alle sehr freundlich. Dort lässt es sich zum Mittag sowohl zum Abend sehr gut essen.

We are regulars at wahaca around the city but this one has a special person called Ahasa (teeyanah banks) One of the most sincere,sweet, hardworking people I’ve ever experienced in the industry of years of going out here, she was spot on with her service, warmth, and overwhelmingly sweet and happy vibe. RESPECT TO HER MORALE AND ATTITUDE SHE TAUGHT ME ALOT IN TERMS OF HOW WE ALL CAN BE AT OUR BEST AND BETTER AT OUR JOBS AND CREATING MEMORABLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES.

The restaurant has delicious food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food does not take too long to come out either, so it is perfect for a quick lunch. I will definitely be going back.

This is Mexican food, elevated. We had veggie nachos, followed by the veggie set menu. *Lots* of great flavours, lots of food, all beautifully prepared, and served with a smile by George, who was excellent. The atmosphere was good, it was a relatively quiet night (lots of rain), but the other people, and background music provided a nice ambience at just the right volume.

WAHACA is located on the 1st floor of Londons' premier shopping centre known as "One New Change" in the heart of the city near St.Pauls.

Had the pleasure of a business dinner in Wahaca. I have been before but a different location. Booking was easy on the website, service was friendly and efficient. We ordered the favourites menu and soon the table started to fill with an assortment of deliciousness.

Fuimos un lunes para el almuerzo temprano. Solo pedimos un par de platos diferentes del menú estándar. Los primeros tacos llegaron rápidamente, pero obviamente se olvidaron de los segundos, ya que tuvimos que preguntar y tardaron 20 minutos en llegar a pesar de que el restaurante no estaba lleno. Luego pedimos un postre simple que tardó otros 25 minutos en llegar y tuve que levantarme y buscar un servidor para recordarles. La comida era buena, pero la experiencia fue tan inconexa que no creo que vuelva a toda prisa. En general, nos sentamos allí durante más de una hora, no es bueno cuando solo quieres un almuerzo rápido.

He pedido un mojito virgen, pero la porción era pequeña y el precio era un poco alto.

Habíamos ido a ver un espectáculo y estábamos buscando una cena antes de tomar un tren de regreso a casa. Al llegar, el personal fue servicial al encontrarnos un asiento rápidamente. El menú era completo y nos costó tomar una decisión, ya que todo parecía tan bueno. Optamos por 3 artículos más pequeños cada uno. la comida llegó cuando estaba lista, lo que significaba que estaba fresca. El tamaño de las porciones era amplio y el servicio fue excelente. La comida era muy sabrosa, pero todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que probablemente deberíamos haber compartido una bandeja de tacos y tiene otras 2 opciones cada una, ya que todo era abundante.

Si bien me encanta su comida, me estoy cansando un poco del hecho de que nunca hay coherencia con la calidad. Estuvimos allí hace unas semanas y tuve los tacos de plátano y la quesadilla de frijoles y queso y fueron absolutamente brillantes, ambos platos estaban muy bien, los rellenos eran más que adecuados. luego vinimos ayer (gran fiesta) y los tacos de plátano apenas estaban rellenos y la tortilla estaba pasada, la quesadilla de frijoles y queso apenas tenía relleno y el queso era prácticamente inexistente. El servicio de hace unas semanas fue horrible, el servicio de ayer fue bastante bueno.

Hoy vine aquí para almorzar con un amigo. Tuvimos un maravilloso camarero llamado Tobias que estuvo muy atento a todas nuestras peticiones, respondió a todas nuestras preguntas y, aunque el restaurante estaba ocupado, mantenía una actitud muy feliz. No he tenido un gran servicio en un restaurante por un tiempo. La comida era estupenda, especialmente las batatas fritas. Nos fuimos felices y extremadamente llenos!

We came here for dinner as we both fancied Mexican. It was more street food/tapas than a typical Mexican restaurant. We ordered nachos then “the favourites” sharing plate. All the food was delicious and came out very fast indeed!

We don't have Wahaca in Ireland, so our visit to the branch at St. Pauls was a first for us.

A busy, noisy and informal Mexican-themed restaurant, with many branches elsewhere in London. This was my first visit to Wahaca. I don’t normally care for Mexican food but was very pleasantly surprised by the strong flavours, quality and reasonable pricing. Service was a little chaotic: our drinks arrived halfway through the meal rather than at the beginning. But I would certainly consider returning here.

We had a delicious meal here - customer service was 5* , friendly, quick and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious , we loved trying the new menu , especially the crab tacos and the staff made great recommendations. It was was a really nice atmosphere- would highly recommend it!

Visited this restaurant on Tuesday for a business lunch.Food always good, service prompt, dishes explained.Unfortunately, a little flying insect, looked like a grasshopper, decided it liked my guest’s drink.We pointed this out to the duty manager, just expecting the drink to be replaced.To our surprise, not only was the drink replaced, but also the bill eradicated.The food was great anyway, so we passed on the offer of desserts and coffee....didn’t want abuse the hospitality!Well done Wahaca

Headed into Lunch at New Change Building- found Wahaca. From Australia, unfamiliar with this food chain but the restaurant looked inviting, great lighting and 2/3 full with lunch time work crowd. We ordered the soft tacos and the salad bowl. Friend finished the salad bowl long before the tacos arrived. Tacos were very oily, fried hard cheese was a little odd.

Had a great evening at Wahaca, couldn't fault anything it. Service was great, food was tasty, great selection.

I not the biggest fan of mexican food but the food was good. The staff was really good too. The envirment was cozy with the lights and art.

Nothing that can beat some regular old spicy Mexican! It tasted really good, and I recommend you to visit the place and give the food a shot :)

The food was amazing, there is a very good selection and some different options that you don't get at regular restaurants. There is a good vegetarian range and the food is full of flavour.

Being early, 7pm, there were very people inside.

Great place, greeeat food and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ordered a kind of bufê or alot of different dishes and was delicious.

I loved the food, because i really like mexican food in general. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. The setting was really cozy because of the lights and the art on the wall. The staff was really nice, and they brought the food quickly.

Good food and cool place, it was the first time i ate mexican food, for me it was a little strong but it was good.

We visited as a family of 4 with teens on a Friday half term afternoon. Food was lovely - we ordered lots of small dishes so between us had a great choice of Mexican street food. Food all great, good waiter service & nice feel to the restaurant. Prices very reasonable - would definitely return.

Procuramos a meio da tarde um local para lanchar uns nachos. Entramos, o restaurante estava praticamente vazio, eram 17h00, fomos conduzidos a uma mesa, sentamos e perguntamos se havia algum problema em pedir apenas uns nachos, ao que o funcionário nos responde que havia problema, que naquele momento estavam cheios. Havia talvez 4 mesas ocupadas. Mais de 80% do restaurante estava vazio. Mas que por especial favor nos iria trazer a comida. Trouxe uns nachos que pareciam ter sido despejados em cima do prato. As bebidas que pedimos nunca chegaram. Ficamos sem qualquer vontade de repetir uma visita.

I went with friends on a Friday night and a couple were a bit tipsy but the rest of us were fine. The waiters and manager were so rude, nasty and sarcastic. It was completely unnecessary- I couldn’t imagine treating customers like that when I’ve worked in customer service. So disappointing as I love wahaca. The manager was a blonde lady with an Eastern European accent and she just really made me want to cry.

Great evening, food really good, waiter Tom was great, as for the evening manager, Dora, credit to Wahaca. Excellent customer service, fun, joking...made our evening. Chefs...great food too!

A great spot near St. Paul’s for a delicious, buzzy lunch with friends. We all had a sale bowl lunch special with a refreshing lime soda to drink. Staff were friendly and the food came quickly and tasted good. Not quite as good as our local Wahaca in Bristol - there didn’t seem to be the extensive range of tasting plates, including an amazing seafood taco, that I remember from before. But that could be because the menu has been updated! Would definitely go again if in the area.

Wow what a find! We stumbled across Wahaca St Paul’s and our love of Mexican food drew us in! We were not disappointed at all... the food was amazing (our faith in good cornbread has been restored) and our waitress was very accommodating! We stepped outside our comfort zone and ordered a few dishes we haven’t before and now they will be added to our regular orders! Definitely recommend this place. Thank you

Wahaca era un favorito muy querido cuando se inauguró hace años en Londres. Trajo algo nuevo a la corriente principal con la comida callejera mexicana para los clientes del West End combinados con cócteles. Hubo un verdadero zumbido al respecto. Ahora se ha ampliado considerablemente innovando el menú desde.

Wahaca nunca decepciona desde una perspectiva de comida. La comida es ligera (a diferencia de muchos restaurantes mexicanos) y es consistentemente sabrosa. Un montón de opciones vegetarianas. La camarera fue servicial, amable y atenta, aunque estaba bastante ocupada. Mi única queja fue que el estilo de servicio de llevar los platos cuando están listos significaba que dos personas se sentaban frente a los platos enfriándose mientras los otros 4 esperaban * algo * para comer; y luego, al final, mi segundo pequeño plato llegó después de que todos los demás, así que me dejaron de comer solo. Estoy seguro de que hay una razón para hacerlo de esta manera y probablemente funcione cuando todos están compartiendo, pero no funcionó para nuestro grupo.

Located next to Saint Paul's Church, up on the first floor of One New Change is the perfect choice if you want to go for shopping or to Madison for drinks and you are hungry! Service quick and stuff friendly! Food tasty! Recommended

Buono il cibo messicano, non hanno problemi a farlo senza glutine e la scelta di questi piatti è varia. Le porzioni non sono molto generose e se chiedete l’opzione non piccante arriva leggermente piccante in ogni caso. La cosa ha lasciato poco soddisfatta della scelta la mia famiglia.

I have been a few times and as a vegetarian I love it. We were 12 of us and those that chose street food and small plates were very happy. Those they chose burritos were less happy and said next time they would chose street food. Service was good despite being very busy and the overall experience was great

Ate here last night for a quick dinner with my Dad, we've been to lots of Wahaca branches but never to the St Paul's restaurant before.

Nuestra primera visita a Wahaca y nos encantó. Nuestra camarera nos explicó los menús y nos sirvió unas copas. Luego comprobé cómo nos íbamos. No hay presión y no es difícil vender, pero mucha ayuda. Tuvimos una comida encantadora y recomendaría este lugar sin problemas. La quesadilla de pollo estaba muy rica.

We had a great meal here, a couple or small plates and a burrito. Tasty , authentic Mexican food with great service. Would recommend this restaurant for atmosphere and food.

Upon arrival we were shown to our table and were then left for around 15-20 minutes before being asked for a drinks order. It is worth noting that the restaurant was not full.

The food and atmosphere at this place is great but goodness me was it difficult to get served! The staff weren't rude or anything, they just weren't there. We had walk to get people to come to our table, take our order, give us cutlery, bring us napkins. We were tucked away in corner where staff didn't pass by so we couldn't get their attention and it seemed they just kept forgetting about us.

The food, the atmosphere and the service were great. Anna made sure that our food was brought quickly as it was getting quite crowded and everything was delicious. I have been to several Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants, some are good at the beginning and then quality declines with time, Wahaca is still of great quality and taste as it was years ago.

Visited here as a group, it was disappointing to see that the staff were not very attentive to our table. We had to ask several times to make drinks orders, make the food order or pay the bill. It was a shame to see our food arrive before our drinks, considering it wasn't very busy. Food was lovely when it came.

Came here after playing golf st swingers. Had a great meal, lots of choice, good gluten free menu too as the tortilla chips and tacos are corn. The churros are amazing and we trouble fitting them in but glad we did! Everyone enjoyed their meal, the price is very reasonable and staff were friendly. We paid using their quickpay app which was great at splitting the bill easily between friends. It was easily walkable to London Bridge too.

At Wahaca the food is great, tasty and full of different mixes that make the flavours good. The unique negative point in my opinion is the slightly expensive price compared to the size portions. This place is located few min walking from Saint Paul's tube station.

We went there to meet with friends, unfortunately our friends arrived 1 hour late and we were occupying one large table. The 2 waitresses were the best! Staff were really understanding of the situation and treated us really well. The food was delicious and the cocktails were just perfect.

Went for lunch and food ok decent. But service attitude needs to be fixed. We ordered Nachos to start with while the main food got cooked. We expected this to arrive while we drank our drinks. The drinks came, the mains came but nachos came last. So I asked why these came last as they are meant to be served either the drinks. Waitress asked if we wanted them returned and off the bill. I said yes. So she has the gall to the 2 people (not part of our group of 5) we are sharing the table with and says, do you guys want free nachos? And she said it loud enough so we could hear. Keep in mind, this place becomes pretty noisy, so it was done on purpose. She can give the dish to anyone and it’s her prerogative. But to do it so blatantly!!! Have to say, when the bill came, the nachos were still on the bill. Didn’t bother leaving a tip. Not worth the hassle. Good food experience ruined by rude staff and service.

Come on guys we eat in Mexico in local establishments all the time and u get not ons not two but three types of salsa with your corn chips. Bring back the salsa!

Restaurant was quite quiet when we arrived but gradually filled up through the time we were there for the meal. Pleasant and helpful service from Loreta. Freshly prepared plates of food served as they were ready. Atmosphere was a bit noisy from the air conditioning. Not sure that toilet facilities are wheelchair accessible as they're on the upper floor - perhaps they have another one I didn't see.

Okay - love Wahaca but cannot understand why they discontinued serving salsa with chips. What’s next - no more Margaritas?

Visitamos con mi esposa y padre de esta semana. Me encantó la comida. La camarera nos cuidaron y manipulado nuestro menú vegetariano vegetariano y pedidos. Estábamos contentos con el chocolate caliente, que era muy amarga al principio - dijo que es gratis y así que lácteos sabe la manera en que lo hace - sin embargo, empujado y simplemente regresar. El barista luego examinado, se disculpó y otra de chocolate caliente para nosotros, lo cual era perfecto. Finalmente, también tomaron el chocolate caliente de la factura - Me encantó el servicio al cliente. La comida era estupenda y que como de costumbre no puedo recomendar Wahaca suficiente. Pagamos con app que era super rápido!

Cenamos muy bien. El menú de 35 £ la pareja (sin bebidas) es abundante y se prueban platos típicos mexicanos variados y sabrosos.

Comimos aquí antes de una noche en el teatro. Lugar estaba prácticamente vacío, nuestro camarero, Ben, no sonríe una vez y nos hicieron sentir como perder su tiempo por comer aquí.

Visited with my husband during our anniversary and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious. Visited a second time with my work colleagues after two months. The menu had changed. The food was still delicious and even though we had given our order correctly two of my colleagues received the wrong order and it took a while for them to bring the right food while others had finished eating and my colleagues were disappointed. Would recommend a quick and efficient service. Overall was very happy

Me apareció en un bocado para comer mientras yo estaba en la zona para reuniones, y era entrada y salida en menos de 30 minutos. La comida es todavía un buen nivel y con otras ramas comparable que he visitado. Yo estaba un poco decepcionado de mi pato croqueta especial, me pareció que le faltaba sabor, pero todo lo demás era habitual los estándares de la buena compañía.

Duck croquetas was very very nice. Service was attentive but not intruding. Pork pibil and Plantain tacos is highly recommended!

We ordered salads, burrito and kids meal for lunch. The serving is huge, but if you're hungry (like we are), you can easily polish because it was yummy. The only thing is that the burrito my brother ordered wasn't wrapped properly so flavour and taste isn't evenly distributed. But overall, we enjoyed the place and will come back for some more salads!

We have been big fans of Wahaca since we discovered it at Southbank in 2012. The food at the St Paul's branch is always fresh and tasty and the service is excellent.

Fuimos por la comida después de ejecutar una carrera de caridad 10 k cerca. Los cócteles eran geniales, y la comida, desde uno de los menús, además de algunos extras. El servicio era amable sin exagerar (gracias Ben! En general) - justo lo que quería!

Situated in a modern complex near St Paul's Cathedral and other famous sites , this is a good venue for a variety of Mexican food. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. Children like this place for being informal and relaxed.

Went here for lunch before heading to Spa at the Grange (St Paul's). There were five of us and went for 2 different sharing menus. The food was really and we had friendly & good service.

Try the tasting menu for 2 plus a free dip ( we had guacamole) - lovely mixture of interesting tastes. Plenty for vegetarians and vegans plus strong green credentials make this a winner... Drinks a bit pricy - stick to free water....
