Nothing terrible about this place but I wouldn't return. The food was blah. The service was slow and inattentive -- and then, the kicker: they slapped a 12.5% service charge on the bill without mentioning it! With so many better places in that area, don't waste your time (or money) with this one.

We really enjoyed Wahaca. Good food, affordable prices, highly recommend to eat here. The nachos we had tasted really authentic like the ones we had in Mexico.

Lovely early lunch - had the favourites set menu which was delicious and our waiter Carlos provided excellent service. Haven't been to Wahaca for a few years but it remains a superb, tasty and relatively low cost lunch spot.

3 of us are eating here today for the first time .What a great experience, loved the food .2 course meals filled potato skins ,Followed by Chilli con Carne. Chicken wings followed by Ribs dinner .Prawn cocktail followed by Chilli con Carne. Yum

They're short staffed and current staff aren't motivated, long waits to even catch their eye.

Everything is "fine". Except the service is slow, the drinks are wateree down and the person I was with was charged £5.95 for the tiniest cheese quesadilla. Absolutely not worth it. Would not recommend and didn't feel any of the drinks (we both had 3 Margherita).

We had such a lovely night out at Wahaca! The food was absolutely amazing—I just couldn’t stop munching on their guacamole, it’s that good! The vibe was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. A big shoutout to Tom, who took extra care of our table. He checked in on us several times, made sure we had everything we needed, and was both kind and funny. He really took the time to understand our tastes and gave us great recommendations, which made the experience even better. We sat by the window, which was the perfect spot to watch the lively crowd in Islington while enjoying the warmth inside and soaking up the great atmosphere. To top it all off, the chocolate churros were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was amazing and delicious with affordable price. The decoration and music make me feel like I'm in Mexico with lively soundtrack. Although the appearance outside is modest, inside space is super spacious and well-decorated. My favorite dish is beef tacos and quesadilla. The churros dessert is tasty as well. I definitely comeback next time. I highly recommend you to try this restaurant.

It was my first visit in Wahaca. The food was very nice, Carlos who was looking after our table was very friendly, polite and always had a smile on his face. I really liked the beef tacos !

We came in for lunch and were seated and served straight away. Our waiter Carlos was very friendly and attentive, he explained the menu and let us know what deals they had on. The food was delicious and the service was quick.

Went in yesterday with my son with multiple allergies. Staff were beyond excellent. Manager and server both double checked everything, went through the thorough allergy menu with us and walked a good balance between caution and yet making us feel welcome. It’s rare as a family that we eat so comfortably and the food and drinks were excellent.
