Today’s lunch was great. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Our waiter, Miguel, was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere!

Miguel made our evening! Food was lovely and service was even better, will definitely be coming back again.

Our server Isaac, was fantastic. His insightfully knowledge of the menu and confidence allowed us to feel confident in taking his suggestions. He advised we try the buttermilk chicken and pork tacos. They were fantastic. The drinks were also brilliant, made by Ethan, they held great presentation and fabulous flavour. Isaac made sure to let us know who made these drinks and food and drink arrived in a timely manner. Lewys was also on hand to answer any questions and was very accommodating and welcoming when we arrived.

I loved my food, my favourite the avacado and chicken tacos, I prefer the old ones but still loved!

We booked a table of 18 for a hen party- 3 people with allergies in the party and done fussy eaters too, so we're a complicated group. The staff were amazing, so accommodating! Food and drinks were beautiful, great veggie, vegan and gluten free options.

Nice food, but service not great. Received food before drinks, when we asked the server about our drinks he brought them straight away almost as if they’d been sat on the side of the bar. It was busy inside so can let that go. We ordered nachos to start and before we finished that a main meal came out, then 5 minutes later 2 more, then 5 minutes the final main came (we ordered 2 tacos and 2 quesadillas). An odd way to do things considering one person was eating and not the other, however nice food. Staff weren’t friendly, and a service charge of 12.5% was added which was harsh considering we received no service. Wouldn’t return.

Sophie E was incredible, absolutely loved the service. So helpful, so sunny and the food was splendid! Because of her we will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family. Only thing I’ll say is (this was not Sophie E)… when spraying tables when there are people sitting (with or without drinks or food - worse with drinks and food) please spray the cloth and not the tables. There are chemicals! And we could see all the spray in the air x

Excellent Mexican food, very tasty and feels like a nice healthy meal, not stodgy. Well priced vs other city centre food. Wahaca platter for one recommended, as are the potatoes bravas, with the pork the best meat on offer on my visit. Cocktails are lovely. No beer on tap but out of can/bottle. Loads of indoor seating across three floors, with an outside area that gets sun in the afternoon/evening, although umbrellas/gazebos are up to protect you from direct sunlight. Service was quick, i didnt have to spend long with an empty glass. Can pay via QR code on the table for convenience. St. Davids probably the closest car park. Would visit again.

Mi hija tenía dos tacos que apenas habría satisfecho a un hada por £ 7. 95 . Eran diminutos, de ahí la referencia de las hadas, solo para trabajar el punto. Siempre tengo el cuenco arco iris, que solía llenarme por el día - incluía batatas y brócoli, pero ahora hay que comprarlos por separado - ambos, por extra. La ensalada, en su forma reciclada cuesta £11. 95 . ¡Y no creas, Wahaca, que no me he dado cuenta de que ahora estás poniendo un tazón – de salsa de aguacate ciertamente muy sabrosa – en medio del tazón arcoíris para que haya aún menos espacio para ser ocupado por la ensalada real! Si vas a Wahaca, no te decepcionará la calidad de la comida, solo la falta de comida! Elija sabiamente en el menú!

Our server, Ibanez was so lovely. She was giving us recommendations and was so caring. She had no issue when we had to take the service charge off (unfortunately we are broke student who can’t afford) and I wanted to give her a shoutout as she really went above and beyond. My only concern is that I feel the portion sozes are quite small for the pice, you have to order a few plates for a substantial meal which adds up. Overall brilliant experience.

Saray took great care of us!! She made sure we had plenty of water for the table and was super quick and friendly when taking our orders. She helped by explaining the menu and was just overall really lovely. Also- definitely recommend the chicken quesadilla!!

Had a nice lunch with colleagues and we all enjoyed it. Tortilla chips to share with delicious guacamole and dips, battered cauliflower was tasty. Mains of generous beef burritos, beef and fish tacos, sweet potato taquitos, salad bowls, all were delicious. Mocktails and fruit coolers were very good too. Service friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.

Cumpleaños familiar un sábado por la noche. El restaurante estaba lleno, lo que demuestra lo buena que es la comida. He visitado muchas veces, tenemos un amor particular por la comida fresca y mexicana en Wahaca. Lamentablemente en un sábado por la noche muy ocupado el servicio era muy lento. También algunos tacos estaban fríos cuando llegaron a nuestra mesa. No estoy seguro de si eso fue debido a la falta de personal. No me dejaría atrás, pero trataría de evitar un sábado por la noche.

Dined at Wahaca for Mother’s Day, the food was incredible, everything we ordered was so so good and our Waiter Miguel made the experience so much better he was funny, friendly and so welcoming 10/10 customer service!

This was my first visit and I was very disappointed on the experience. Our food all came out at separate times, and very far apart. As well as an almost 30 minute wait for drinks. The food was wonderful but the portions were very small. Our waiter Miguel was absolutely wonderful!

Food is lovely but pricey for the portion sizes. Staff is nice and nice outdoor seating but receiving the bill with an added service charge is sneaky and unprofessional leaving the customer in the position to have to awkwardly ask to take off the service charge. Service charge should be a choice and something a customer can add if they choose to but adding it onto the bill and not even explaining that when handing the bill over is not acceptable.

Had a lovely meal with my sister, we both had the rainbow bowl and it was delicious! Miguel, our server, was really friendly and helpful when we had a small issue and got it solved quickly! Would definitely visit again if in the area 😊

Myself and my girlfriend came here yesterday for dinner and it was absolutely brilliant. The food was outstanding and our waitress Sophie was so welcoming and looked after us so well during the evening. We had The 'Wahaca for One' on the menu and being students ourselves, it was great value for money. We will definitely be back!

I have been here many times and I have not been disappointed!The food is so tasty and has so much flavour.Personaly the prices are very good for the top quality food you get.The atmosphere in the restaurant it's self is lovely and the decoration is very interesting and the music lifts my mood every time I come.I would definitely recommend this amazing restaurant 🤩🤩.I also love their veggie nachos!!

Absolutely reliable, absolutely delicious, very creative, and a cracking location too, with a neat little terrace on The Hayes if the Welsh weather permits. If it's informal dining you want, it's hard to do better.

Absolutely brilliant start to our City break in Cardiff. We sampled the Veggie discovery experience and it didn’t disappoint! Sophie was the perfect hostess - a credit to the restaurant. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Half us were new to Wahaca and all four liked it very much. There was a good range of tasty food, pleasant service, the alcohol free beer was v good, the mojitos lacked a bit.

Changing my review to a better one. Great service, great food and drink along with a nice atmosphere.

I haven't been to Wahaca in a few year and now I remember why. The flavours are there but not hitting the right notes. The Orchata water tends to be a sweet drink, what you get is a water down version of a concentrate. The tacos are OK. The biggest disappointment there is a lack of sauces, something that you expect with any tacos. I feel they have taken a few steps back of what Mexican food it is and now it is a more commercial/internacional version of Mexican food. It is ok, but not as good as it could be. For the price and flavours you are better off eating at Tortilla which had better value and similar flavours to what is on offer in Cardiff.

absolutely loved my second visit to Wahaca last night. Was seated on the top floor which was a very nice view and the food was amazing. The beef Burrito was delicious and I even made room for dessert which was so good too. All of our servers were lovely and regardless of it being a busy valentines the food came pretty quickly. Would absolutely recommend for a nice meal out.

We were served by Miguel this evening and what a lovely, happy service he gave us. Miguel is one of the nicest waiters I have had. Nothing was a problem for him and he always approached us with the friendliest smile.

Food was excellent and our waiter was amazing, we did not catch his name but he was the bald waiter and he was a great personality.

Went today and the food was exceptional. I could not stop happy dancing while eating. I don't know what the cooks put it in the food but damn it was good. Me and my partner were put in a food coma or should I say ascended into a food high.

The missus loves this place, so I thought we’d go out for her birthday as a family meal. The food was lovely, but the service was quite poor. Had to ask multiple times for things like straws, which I then had to get up and grab myself. (The waiter was just standing around looking confused, weren’t many people in, and it wasn’t that busy I brought in a cake with candles and sparklers to sing happy birthday to my partner, the cake came over and the candles weren’t even lit. Apparently no lighter, there’s a whole kitchen in the back and they didn’t think to go light a bloody candle. So disappointed.

We didn’t have a booking but there were just the 2 of us. All we wanted was a drink and perhaps chips and guacamole dip but they refused to seat us and we just had a drink at the waiting area where they refused to serve us aside from drinks. I kept asking for a table for 2 (which they had plenty of that were vacant) but they refused saying they had bookings. They had an entire 3rd floor free where we could have sat for a bit and ordered more drinks or some sides but they said it was all closed despite it being busy. Sorry wahaca you should have done better with seating us, getting us a seat would have had us staying longer and ordering more. You are missing a trick and it did ruin our night to some extent as we normally like dining here. Poor customer service. The least you could have done was ask how long we needed the table for and seated us accordingly for a time period where a table was available. We were just cast aside as we didn’t have a booking. Bad form Wahaca.

Comida mediocre. Puedo cocinar mejor té mexicano en casa. Nada impresionado. Si te gusta la comida preparada en paquetes, disfruta 😉

Great service, table sorted quickly even at busy time. Changes to menu and menu was very clearly explained. Very timely with drinks and service. Good amount of time before asking if wanted deserts and then bill. As a chain they have this sorted. Notwithstanding food very tasty.

Came for my birthday with friends, it was quiet when we came although we did come on a Monday. The food was great. Despite the fact that the toilet is up 2 flights of stairs there is an elevator for people who may need it.
