Excellent food and very generous portions. Up from Lancashire visiting family in the town and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and reasonable prices. Would highly recommend but be warned it is cash only!

We ordered the pack B for 2 people with special fried rice instead of egg fried rice. The amount of food we got was a lot more than we get back home in Australia and too much to consume in one sitting so bonus is we have lunch or dinner sorted for tomorrow. I Loved the battered dish and the special fried rice was amazing. Partner liked the beef dish. I didn’t get to try the chicken curry though he did and he wasn’t keen.

Looking forward to a Chinese after being on hols..what a disappointment..waited an hour+ for chicken fried rice and curry sauce..not a huge order!!! Eventually got my order and we’ll YUK is the only word for it ..rice was soggy and sticky..not sure they understood what fried meant..and seriously even putting that amount of salt didn’t hide the fact it was mush!! Sauce was ok though ....haven’t been for a while and I won’t be hurrying back

Having my parents to stay for a week but needing to go into work in Keith one of the days I decided to cheat and go home with the food already cooked for me and opted for the Wah Ling. The food was really tasty, great quality and certainly more than plenty. I won't be waiting to find an excuse to go back, will just treat myself - I'm worth it lol !!

I spent about a week in Keith and ate here almost every day. The food was of good quality and cooked well. It has recently came under new management and the management and staff are working hard to bring it up to be one of the best take aways around serving good food at reasonable prices. I will be back up there in a few months time and will head straight there. Nan Ayrshire

Had meal for 4, called it in was told 20 mins. fine we live 10mins from take away. Ordered 2 King prawn chow mien, king prawn curry, king prawn fried rice, with starters and sweets. Arrived before the 20 mins and the food was ready for pick up. All food was hot, freshly cooked and very good value for money. Highly recommend the Wah Ling to anyone.

Been a customer of Wah Ling for +35 years. Went to collect telephone order, I was told I didn't leave my name!! Took down my order wrong, I had to pay the difference for their mistake, I asked if fresh order would be made but didn't know, said it was not his fault and only manager could give away food! I asked to speak to manager and was told they would come with my food. Manager apologies for mix up and offers prawn crackers, I said keep them, not happy with the poor customer service. Guess what the rest of the original order presented again was cool and quality of food was not as good as usual. Lesson in how to loose customers

I will not be using this place again. Food was cold Lemon Chicken consisted of nothing more than pieces of cold deep fried chicken - no lemon sauce Duck Chinese Style - fried duck in an unidentifiable sauce and no sign of any vegetables Fried rice - appeared to be rice with a bit of soy sauce in it Spring Roll - was burnt and fell apart. This was a lot of money for something that ended up in the bin Phoned to complain and was told that I needed to come back to pick up the Lemon Sauce

Ordered special fried rice, and was looking forward to it. Asked for a pot of curry, but was told it had 'gravy running through it'. Price was £6.50, which is a very reasonable price for this. I love special fried rice, and it has been quite a while since I've had it. Place was empty, which should have told me something, I guess, as the chippy up the road was packed out. Pulled off the road to eat it, as still had a long drive. Loads of bamboo shoots on top, a couple of prawns, and some chicken, but no pork etc All seemed to be poached in a watery, tasteless gravy. Couldn't understand why I couldn't see any rice, till I scraped back the bamboo shoots. Half the dish at the bottom was soggy boiled rice, sitting in a soup of watery gravy. Nothing about this was 'fried'. I can only say it was tasteless, watery slop. Dumped it in the bin and went to Tesco for a sandwich. Don't waste your hard earned cash - this isn't even fit to feed to your dog.

My mother and I have not long arrived home with a box of Chinese food that cost us £28.There is now several tubs of inedible food on my kitchen worktops. I did make the effort to eat, as I was hungry, however it defeated me. One particular mouthful I will remember forever, as I had to dash to the kitchen to spit it out.My mother is now wondering aimlessly about the house trying not to be sick and hovering near the toilet. I have this taste in my mouth that no matter how much toothpaste and mouthwash I use is refusing to leave and I am seriously worried about food poisoning. Lets start with the Hors d'oeuvre, which being French I have no idea why it is on there anyway.Chicken Satay - weird taste, dry, inedible.Spare Ribs - dry, old, reheated and inedible also.Prawn Toast - Looked horrific, I did not even taste itSpring Roll - edible but bought in.Prawn Dumpling - spat this into the binMain courseBeef in black been sauce - completely tasteless. Cold.Lemon chicken - violently disgusting, served with lemon curd bizarrely.Special rice - cold - inedible - wet - sogging - yeargh.I will NEVER go there again, I have been once before and said that last time. Our normal and extremely good Chinese was shut today so stupidly thought "Oh let's try the Wah Ling again" This proved to be a very bad move. They should fire the chef, fire themselves, pack up and close down. DO NOT EAT THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE.
