The food is nice (most important) but small portions and doesn't offer great value. Staff in this particular Wagamama's are always friendly and attentive, which is good. Often gets inexplicably busy, which considering the relatively poor value and the fact you are basically sitting at a bench shared with other diners always puts me off.

Quick and friendly service with nice food but expensive.

First time eating here since having a GF dietary requirement. Hannah took out drinks order and the mgr took my order who explained that food comes out when it's ready and my GF meal would take a little longer. 2 servers came past and said my meal wouldn't be long, hubby already half way through his. Mine arrived brought over my head chef. It was delicious chicken kare. I asked Hannah our original server why it takes so long (not that it was an issue) she explained that all the pans and utensils and area is cleaned down, they use separate pots of prepared veg/meat for dietary requirements so reducing risk of cross contamination. She said they take allergies really seriously. Very impressed 😁 would definitely go again

Not the best visit at all. Very over powering smell of fish. Service very slow. Food not as good as we've had in the past. Overall very disappointing visit.

The Manager today truly deserves credit. In hospitality these days, it’s rare to find a dining experience that delivers both quality service and makes you feel like a genuinely valued customer. Today, I felt more than that — and it was thanks to the Manager, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, and her colleague Jack. Jack was an absolute credit to her team. For someone who looked quite young, he showed outstanding positivity and professionalism — he’s clearly a future star. Both are a real asset to your team and I look forward to visiting again very soon.

I get the whole it comes when it's ready. Ordered a dish and asked for an extra egg to be added to it. Egg came out on its own a solid 10 mins before the rest. I would laugh at the ridiculousness of it but the bill made me cry

All the vegetables in my curry dish were not cooked at all, or maybe a little.

Dined here with a large group of 12. We didn’t wait long to be seated. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Although they were busy, especially Anna, who served us took her time taking our orders and making sure we got everything we asked for. She was so kind and helpful, making our dining experience 10/10. Food didn’t take long to be served and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

The service is always great here. My son has allergies to egg and dairy and this is one of the few places I feel safe taking him to eat. I feel allergies are taken very seriously at this location and we’ve never had an issue with cross-contamination. The manager on yesterday knew the menu so well and helped guide me on ordering something safe for my son. Much appreciated wagamama 😊

really crowded during weekends but staff are really quick to seat us in. food is great,little bit pricey but speaks for the taste of the food. Update, just tried their ramen, it was HORRIBLE, just avoid it, it's not even considered a ramen, so bland and tasteless, had to put in soy sauce and still no change in the taste

Table no 531, Sandy I had a really disappointing experience at Wagamama today. We were seated and took drinks order. We waited for what felt like ages while the staff took orders from other tables around us, completely ignoring us. No one even acknowledged our wait or checked in with us. It felt like we were invisible! Really poor service, and definitely not what I expected. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Portions smaller than same dish in other Wagamamas. Maybe a particular cook but definitely small.

My family love the food there but when it’s take out it sucks they say I just eat the plain sticky rice it’s so goood and the service may not be ideal since the mains can come before starters but they serve everything fresh meaning your Experience gets better that’s why it’s usually not good take away and I love the place I’m a sticky rice expert and it’s the best I have ever had I come there alot

Glasses filthy. My glass was smeared with fingerprints and leftover food from someones gob. Yuck. Asked to change- replacement was hardly better. I guess they just shake the dirty glasses in water a bit. Tables dirty. They said “all the food is served as it comes” which assumes hot from the kitchen. Then served us barely warm gyoza. Mains katsu chicken curry and chicken ramen. Nothing special

Gorgeous food, gorgeous waitresses, what else can you ask for

17 February 2025 @ 8pm. While taking our food/drinks order, service crew named MEG was so miserable and abrupt the way she talk including her body language. As if she doesn't like what she is doing. Even after the food was served, she never went to us to ask how the food is. We have been a Wagamama customer for a long time now and we always love it but our experience yesterday was the worst one.

Staff lovely. Food really bland. Won't be coming back.

Food is always amazing! We love Wagamamas!

We came a couple of days ago to celebrate my promotion and the food was great apart from my katsu curry which unfortunately was slightly under done. I made our server Conner aware and he was so so fab, he was really apologetic and sorted it for us with the chefs and his manager and ended up clearing our bill! We can't thank you enough and you really made my day. Thank you so so much Conner, you were incredibly kind and helpful!!

Tasty food. Good vegetarian options. Good service. Would like to go again for sure.

The food is amazing, however they are not dog friendly, so it takes some planning ahead. Would change my review to 5 stars if they add a dog friendly corner.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming our server Mufaro was exceptional and very friendly and bubbly which truely made our visit 10/10 and the food was to die for !

We love coming here. The staff are always spot on and the food never misses. We had Kam as our server and they were so lovely and attentive!

Not too bad for massed, churned out Japanese food. My yaki udon was a little bland and the duck gyoza were more like miniature pasties, however, the tama squid was decent enough. The peach iced tea was also very good. I guess you get what you pay for. On the plus side, our waitress, Hannah, was very nice and amiable, and despite there being a wait to get in, we were served relatively quickly.

Decided to go here for lunch today as nearby Pizza E. had a big queue outside, v/ nobody queuing outside Wagamama. No staff at the entrance to take us to a table, people were just walking in and sitting down randomly. Weird. Sat down eventually and chose food that arrived very quickly. Noodles overcooked, everything super spicy (we had the same dishes the week before at Trafford Centre and that was delicious). My rice was all stuck together and my shredded duck on top had a very funny smell. We left more than 2/3 of our food, but staff didn’t spare any comment and got us the bill within 5 minutes. Not worth £60 for 2 people. We left in a hurry and with a bitter taste so we didn’t take any photos. I had more courteous and caring service at McDonalds, come to think of it. Not going there again for the time being.

Terrible service. I already told the waitress I need more time to read the menu, she kept coming and requested me to order. There are still many seats and no one was waiting to be seated, I don’t know why she was so hurry for. Another waitress put my drink on the table so rudely that she spilled all over my table, but she just turned around and acted like nothing happened.

Wagamamas has introduced us to some lovely styles of food and is full of flavor! We love the staggered approach where each dish comes out as and when it's made. We were sat right by the kitchen and the smell and atmosphere was brilliant

Always guaranteed good food and there's lots of choice on the menu.

Really impressed with this place, especially in such a busy shopping centre. Staff very efficient, polite & attentive. If you want a good quality, healthy meal at a fair price, then make this place your choice at Cheshire Oaks. P.s I highly recommend the Katsu Chicken curry & Honey Chicken bites.

Messed up my order, quantity was less

We went out today for a family meal. We were sat near the door but were kindly moved to warmer seats. Our server was Connor, he was extremely friendly and so accommodating. Connor was so nice to us all and couldn't have asked for better service. Only gave a 4 on food as the ramen had too much onion in it with the red and spring onion. Just became too overpowering. Amazing time though thanks to Connor

First time eating in a Wagamama restaurant, we had a few minutes que outside due to it being busy. And it was a Saturday lunchtime in a busy area. Once in we got a nice seat. Our waitress Mo was really nice, very pleasant and friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was really good. My boa buns were amazing and my wife's noodles were too. The waitress even boxed up my spare boa buns in a great tub. Definitely will go back. And recommend

First time in a Wagamamas, and now I get why there's always a queue. Food was amazing, staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was chilled. Will definitely return.

Cannot recomment the service of both Anna and Sarah enough at this branch, our visit for lunch was made by the customer service and attentive nature of them both throughout. As a manager myself I understand the importance of this and they have both excelled in making our visit exactly what we would expect. Thank you, we will be returning soon!

Went during half term so it was quite busy. We had to get in the line to wait for a table to be available. Only had to wait 5-8 mins and it moves fast. The service is smooth and very organized. Atmosphere is relaxing but the music is a bit loud. As soon as we sat down, the staff explained to us how to pay and took our order. Food and drinks came fast and we didn't wait long. Just a reminder that you get your food randomly and that's just how they work. We order 2 starters and 4 main dish. I had the pad Thai and it was great, filled me up and just the right amount and price is OK too. Also used the loo and it was clean. Overall I'm impress how organized they are during a busy day. Also a staff thank us for visiting them on our way out and that left a good impression to me. I would definitely come back again next time we visit.

Excellent experience. We as a family have a lot of food allergies and we were accommodated fantastically by the restaurant. All staff going above and beyond for us to eat there and safely, checking with the chef which eased our natural worries of eating out. With food allergies we are often seen as a burden or an inconvenience so it was nice to be listened to and catered for.

Good food but always very crowded

Never again here. Rejected 6 people at 9.30pm they told us we can't eat. I would recommend change your opening times and stop wasting people time.

Chilli squid came with a drop of sauce. Ordered more and was ignored. Ordered from another girl and it took 7 mins. By this time the squid was cold and I just ate it as my mains came. Yaki udon with chicken and prawns came out with 5 prawns and no chicken. I'd rather have gone to MC Donalds and got served a hot meal with all the ingredients all in one go. So I'm currently sat here watching my partner eat her Ramen. So not so great of an experience.

Niamh was my server and she was amazing. She was really kind and patient and helped me order food which tasted spectacular. I would highly recommend the food and Niamh deserves to be recognised for her amazing customer service!

Get in before 12! Arrived at 11:15, food and drink ordered, service was very quick! Katsu chicken was delicious, but the ramen and noodles had too much chilli oil on...next time we'll have a different dish. Highly recommend the chicken yakitori - delicious!

This is a personal review about one of the servers. Kam (the one with pink hair) went out of their way to get my girlfriend a no calorie menu which doesn’t sound like much but it meant a lot to her. They had non of those menus and so Kam took the time to cross out all of the calories on a menu so that she wouldn’t be able to see them. Top tier service. Thankyou so much Kam :)

Writing this review now as this is the 3rd time I have come into this wagamama and the service has been dreadful, Once seat i waited over 15mins fo someone to attend us although there were people who arrive after us and were attended to straight away. After then calling one of the waitress over advising that we have been sat her waiting and no one have come to take our when someone came over there was no apologise just a vacant expression. I will not be going back to wagamamas here again.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere if a little loud at times. Staff are always polite but the only thing I don’t like is some ask if you want to leave a tip, it’s awkward sometimes. Always leave but prefer it only own terms. Other than that it’s always a good experience

It’s been a while since I visited Wagamama’s but I won’t leave it so long again! The stars for me were the chilli prawns, but everything was delicious - I enjoyed a number of small dishes (seared tataki - the salmon one was delightful too), while my wife loved her chicken raisukuree. Oh, and the cheesecake ……..

We are curry and ramen here. The ramen was quite below our expectations. And the curry was beaten with the taste of coriender. The taste was a disappointment for us. We got our orders quite quickly. This was appreciated. It was also good to see cooks doing their job at an open environment being seen by anybody. Regarding payment; you can do QR code payment here BUT it doesn’t feel ok to have to give your contact details to be able to proceed with the payment.

Always clean and good food and service

I've always been a big fan of wagamama since my first visit and the Cheshire oaks branch is no exception. The food was delicious and just tastes fresh, same with the drinks.

My started and main course came and I had finsh both before my wifes food came not great service plus food was just okay

Elle service is remarkable , amazing and super fantastic . She is very polite , friendly and listens customers orders carefully .

Great food and quick service. Due to the size of the restaurant and how busy the area is, you do feel under pressure to spend as little time there as possible, but food quality will make you stay!

My food arrived cold complained and they stuck it in the microwave and still came back cold my friend ordered the same meal and was fine no customer service what so ever never going back

As usual the food was good, but the service was awful. It was late enough in the day and was getting quieter. But the service was poor. Asked for water 4 times, given three menus for four people, asked for a gluten free menu, gave a normal menu, the table next to us was cleaned of some bowls but left food all over the paper matts, waiting staff were arguing. We will be back as I like the food, but the service needs sorting as it was an embarrassment.

Really great service, greeted at the door by friendly staff. Table was to our preference and in a light area. Our server Jason was very knowledgeable about the food and recommended dishes to our taste, he suggested we get an extra sauce to make our own mash up of flavours - great idea. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. We will definitely come back again very soon. We asked the manager Christina about catering for allergies & she made sure our food was prepared safely. Excellent customer care from all staff.

It was one of my favourite places to visit, but the huge hike in prices has out priced our family from eating here now unfortunately

3 out of 4 meals arrived nearly at the same time however 1 came much later. Would prefer all meals reasonably close together.

Was taken aback by how flat the flavours were. Chicken in the ramen was hard to chew. Portion was little. Can’t understand why there are still many good reviews here. I personally would not come back really.
