Wagamama in Trafford

Pretty Good, consistent food, never outstanding but also never poor. A bit pricy but some options will fill you up, not great seating for over 50’s

Staff were very welcoming and helpful, quick service and food was nice. Good options for vegans and portion sizes are pretty good.

Currently in the Trafford centre eating my lunch . No complaints about the food however I had a mouse run across my foot. I reported this to the manger . Just I’m sorry is all I got then my full bill. Absolutely appalling and the mouse could be running into the kitchens were all the food is. Where has keeping your customers happy gone. So guys if you want to think could have contaminated your food then be my guest.

Delicious fresh tasting food served to us quickly by friendly staff. We are not too keen on the bench seating so our server went out of her way to accommodate us in one of the booths.

Youngest finished his A levels - the end of all schooling for our family. So that called for a night out - lovely meal here. Seated quickly and staff good throughout. Only slight downside was drinks too long. Food arrived first !! But a v welcome refreshing pint of Asahi when it arrived. Korean beef bao bun was stunning as a starter. Nice kick to it. Salmon teriyaki excellent main dish. Bursting with flavour. Coconut ice cream to finish was excellent as usual. Got to try some chocolate brownie type dish as well. Lovely meal.

This is by far the worst Wagamama site. Visited in March, not only did we have really poor service but myself and my step daughter got food poisoning. We knew it was from here as it was the only meal we shared (no doubt about it). We were both really unwell. After complaining I was contacted by a ‘duty manager’ who had no idea how to handle the situation just making excuses to be honest. Clearly the GM couldn’t be bothered to handle it directly and passed it on - how it’s left to a duty manager to deal with something so serious I’ve no idea! Months later still no resolution. Every time we go here there is an issue usually it’s poor service, delayed food, cold food this time unfortunately it was worse with the food poisoning. Dunno why we get tempted to return! We will never visit this site again, it’s terribly run and they just blame it on being busy. Their customer service is just as bad as they just pass it onto the site to deal with, no idea how they remain so popular with this shoddy attitude to customers

Popped in for some lunch after a bit of shopping. I had Tantanmen beef brisket ramen and hubby had the Steak Teriyaki Soba with a side of the new King oyster mushroom skewers. All the food tasted really good, and came out reasonably quick, the waiting staff were lovely too. We have been to another Wagamama where the service was poor and the orders were mixed up so we were pleasantly surprised with this one. We’ll definitely be back.

Two of us went for Sunday lunch and had a very tasty meal. We shared chilli squid and tama squid and enjoyed both. I then had yaki udon and my husband had firecracker chicken. I have no idea how he finished it as just tasting the sauce was a spicy adventure. The staff are friendly enough.

We've eaten at several of these restaurants and always found them to be consistently good and this was no exception. Servers were informative and the food always looks and tastes fresh. I always have the Firecracker Chicken which is very hot but tasty too.

Woman next to us found a snail in her meal. I was eating the same meal, brought out at the same time, so was put off. Aside from this the food was nice, however we had to ask for our drinks as they were forgotten about. Good flavourful food, but comes with a hefty price.

Very good food with a good veggie selection. Very busy for a Tuesday night in March. But they need to get their systems sorted. I know they say the food comes when it's ready. Fair enough. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes between meals being served. But when you go out to eat, I expect to eat at the same time, not have one meal delivered and completed and then the next meal delivered 10-15 minutes later so we are left to watch each other eat. Do you only have one pan?!! To be fair, the manager was polite and professional when I complained but basically, she said that's the way we do it. Effectively "tough".

Three of us went for a mid week lunch. We were served really quickly but I was disappointed with my meal - vegatsu. It was so bland that I didn't finish it. It's been a while since I've been to Wagamama and this really put me off.

I always get the same meal here. I went for chicken pad thai with beef buns and a green smoothie!. The service and food was excellent. Never had a bad meal here in all the years!

It was fab! Our server Maddie was fantastic and so friendly learning all about her life in the Philippines. The food was amazing, hot and tasty. There was another male server as well but didn’t catch his name he was very friendly and chatty, he had a complaint from another guest but he was nice to us! Overall lovely meal, servers and quick food. Servers are really nice. We will be back.

I visited Wagamama in the Trafford centre and it was fantastic! I ordered a grilled duck donburi bowl and the flavours were just incredible. It came out hot and fresh and very quickly. The vibe of the restaurant is nice and chilled and the staff are efficient. Overall a wonderful experience I will be recommending it.

You can always rely on Wagamama for a decent meal, it never lets you down! The teriyaki steak soba is my staple! I usually like the meat medium, but this came quite well done! It was still really nice though! Service was good too

Terrible staff and service. Unsanitary. Went to lunch on a not busy Monday 19/06/2023. Just two of us. Ignored at the front, staff could see us and took ages to take us to a table. When they eventually did so and sat us down before leaving and not coming back to take our order for half an hour. Other tables were seated, orders taken and served in that time. When staff did walk past we asked if we could please order and he shrugged us off before we explained how long we were waiting. He said "Ok then". No apologies or even excuses. We sat and waited but even our drinks were not brought to us in 45 mins so we got up and simply left when we saw one member of staff put used silverware back in the pot on the table after rubbing at it with a finger nail. Disgusting, no wonder so many other reviews point to getting sick after eating here. The floor was also grubby with trampled rice. Nice touch that my shoes ate better than me. Will never return, put me off the restaurant chain in general, how vile.

Staff are always perfect as usual, a bit of conversation, knowledge about the business. First time watermelon and banana sake, the gozas and noodle was gorgeous

I visited this restaurant with my partner and the service was fairly good. However, they overcharged us for our drinks. When I pointed this out on the receipt, they did quickly rectify it. My meal came out quite a while after my boyfriend’s, but I usually expect this from Wagamama so I didn’t fret about it. I’ve always really enjoyed this particular meal, but it was pretty bland on this occasion and in this particular restaurant. Anyway, we headed home and my god I did not expect what happened next. I don’t suffer with any reflux type conditions, but I started developing some sort of heartburn/acid reflux/indigestion a couple of hours later. The food was sat burning in my chest and would not digest. I went to bed tossing and turning as I couldn’t shake off this uncomfortable feeling. At 2am, I fully woke up being sick followed by full scale food poisoning…all night long. I had to call in sick and felt ill for the duration of the day. I made an official complaint and had a response to say it would be investigated. I provided all the answers to their questions but low and behold…still nothing, hence my review. I don’t like to bad mouth companies for mistakes, but the fact I had to work that day ‘back’ on a day off just before Christmas and the fact that I wasn’t even worthy of an outcome of the investigation, I’ve been left very disappointed.

Welcome, setting & service was great BUT Both my partner & I have had very uncomfortable & painful stomachs after finishing the meal. I was up in the middle of the night with a very bad stomach & still am in pain & knocked out today. Ate vegan meals. Vegan ribs & rice bowls with salad & tofu. Not spicy. Management I suggest checking double checking cleanliness & if food is not prepared fresh to make sure that it’s heated correctly & not potential bacteria house.

This was my first time at a Wagamamas restaurant. My daughter has been before and convinced me to give it a try. Nice stylish restaurant with open kitchen. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated straight away. The waiter took our ordered and enquired if we had any allergies. We both had a teriyaki dish, daughter had chicken and I had salmon. The food was freshly made and didn’t take very long to arrive. The only niggle was that the dishes didn’t come out at the same time but only a minor thing. The food was hot and very tasty. Easy payment via a QR code and an option to tip at checkout. Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and will definitely be back.

Accommodated our group of eight on two separate tables although we did not understand why we could not sit together on either of the two empty large tables. Service staff were helpful and straight forward, proper menu for gluten free with a good choice. Food was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Reasonably priced.

So, my wife and I were at the Trafford Centre, on a Monday lunch time, somewhat hungry and looking for somewhere nice to eat. Before showing too much interest, we stopped at the Wagamama entrance, decided to apraise the menu before venturing in, as, although very curious, we really didn't know what this eatery was all about. We eventually decided to give it a try but requested a quiet table, as the restaurant was begining to get really busy. Very soon a young waitress called Lucia came over with a couple of menus, at which my wife explained that it was our first time there and that we might need help making good choices. Lucia was very sweet, patient and attentive. We both decided on a "Chicken, Noodle Teriaki" main course. It arrived piping hot (always a big thing with us), beatifully cooked, fantastically flavoursome and regards portion size, very generous. It was just honest, unpretentious, great food ! In addition, we ordered the most amazing White Chocolate and Ginger, Toffee Sauce Cheesecake, to share - 100% self indulgence at which we make no apology. All in all, a great eating experience, lovely service and terrific value. First time......but definitely not the last !

I do not usually do reviews, however during my time eating out at Wagamamas Trafford Centre today I feel it would be silly of me not to. My server today, Gabriel, was fantastic, always around when I needed a drink, to take away empty plates, and an all round pleasure to have! He was the most attentive and friendly sever, I really could not have asked for any more. I would like to say a formal thank you to him for all his help today as I know it did not go unnoticed.

My friends and I have been to this wagamamas, every week since its reopening from lockdown and every week we have had a waiter named Gabriel. He’s been amazing with us! He looks after us, always makes us laugh whilst being so quick and efficient. A great credit to the team and Wagamama. 5 star service! Thank you Gabriel :)

Great food and very good service. Portions are quite small so I would recommend getting at least 2 courses if you are hungry. Overall good value for money and the interior design of this chain is very smart and sleek.

I have the same dish nearly every time I visit here ie. Yaki Udon (prawns, chicken, thick noodles), which is excellent. Starters are also very good (Bang Bang Cauliflower is my favourite). Wagamama’s Yaki Udon is enormous and very good value for money 😋

Visited Wagamama Trafford today , excellent fresh food as always. I had a duck donbouri which I would highly recommend to anyone. Children loved the food also. Service is amazing and the staff here are so friendly they couldn't have made me feel welcome.

Been here on a few occasions. Service has always been good, the staff very polite in spite of the rush. Food has been very fresh and good. Japanese oriented cuisine being a family favourite with my children, its been fairly standard each time.It’s become slowly our favourite Wagamama.

This is slowly becoming my favourite place to eat! Every single dish I have had is so tasty, and I feel like I haven’t eaten anything too unhealthy when I leave too! The pulled pork gyozas are the best thing since sliced bread, and the ramen here is like nothing else. I always get the chilli chicken ramen with added prawns - game changer! My partners dish took an age to arrive to the point where I genuinely think it was forgotten about, but it was so nice of the manager to come over, apologise and give us a round of drinks on the house. His meal was so worth the wait too. Incredible food - try the chilli squid too it’s delicious!

I attended here with my friend for lunch. The waiter and waitress were very attentive to my additional requests for the vegan ramen soup I ordered. The service was quick and the food yummy especially the mushroom steamed buns.

Food is always brilliant, unfortunately on this occasion let down by the extremely slow service coupled by the complete ignorance of the staff. After a long hard day of moving furniture in our home for a decorator to line two walls in readiness for hanging paper, we decided to eat out. We had to collect something from the Trafford Centre so called at Wagamama for an evening meal.

My partner and I spend a lot of time in Wagamamas across the country as we love the food, usually.

We arrived and got given a table within minutes by a "friendly" blonde haired lady.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with my friend and it was an amazing meal with amazing service especially from our waiter Gabriel. Will definitely be coming back. The Service was outstanding and made our experience much more enjoyable.

Faced a big queue, but were handed some menus to look at while we waited and seated quickly nonetheless. Usually don’t like sitting at the benches, but wasn’t too crowded. Server was very warm and friendly - didn’t quite catch his name though, unfortunately. Ordered two lots of edamame, sticky chicken skewers and vegetable gyozas to start. Then a kids chicken fried rice, miso cod ramen, pad Thai and chicken katsu curry for mains. I understand that, at Wagamama’s, everything arrives at different times, but this was slightly ridiculous. Katsu curry and vegetable gyozas came out first - presumably because they’re constantly making batches of the katsu, and because the gyozas are quick to prepare. Then came the pad Thai, kids rice, and sticky chicken skewers. Then the rounds of edamame. Then came the miso cod ramen - it arrived so late that we had presumed they had forgotten about it and had to enquire. All the food was delicious (and my kids rice was perfectly portioned) but I couldn’t enjoy it because we were waiting on that miso cod ramen dish. It probably took so long to arrive because they can’t really pre-prepare the cod so have to instead make it fresh to order, which will take a while when the restaurant is as busy as it was, but they could’ve timed it a bit better so all the mains arrived within a similar timeframe...Server was kind enough to take the miso cod ramen off the bill for us, as an apology for the wait, but we would have rather it all arrived at an appropriate time instead! Have had a few not-so-great experiences at this particular branch of Wagamama’s...can’t say I’ll be too eager to pay another visit...

Me and my girlfriend decided to come to the Trafford Centre for a Wagamamas for a change as we usually visit the quieter ones like Salford Quays. Despite it being fairly busy, we were accompanied by an extremely nice and friendly waiter called Gabriel. Gabriel is a hard worker and a person I think every workplace should have, he was also lighthearted and had a great laugh with me and my girlfriend, he was always on the ball with us needing new drinks or whether we needed anything at all. I will definitely be visiting again and would like to thank Gabriel for the great laugh and service he provided. :)

So , after visiting earlier in the year and having , not the best experience , the very lovely customer care team gave us a £40 voucher . My husband and youngest son tried to use this tonight , to which they were told , it hadn’t been activated !!!! After looking into this further we found that we couldn’t have printed the voucher off it hadnt been activated! So another dreadful service , nearly £60 down , and a voucher that’s useless , I can honestly say you are the worst franchise we have ever been too.... maybe take a lesson from Ronald McDonald !!!
