The staff are lovely apart from one of the lady staff (a bit poker face). However, the portion is so tiny. I had exactly the same dish two other wagamama where the portion is a lot more reasonable. The hotpot I ordered in Maidstone is more like a starter instead of a main course.

Had a fantastic meal here with my friend. A lovely restaurant, first time here since it opened and I was very impressed. The service was amazing from start to finish. Megan in particular was very special and ensured our whole meal was thoroughly enjoyed. She made sure we were happy with our meal throughout and had such a warm and joyful spirit. All of the staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything and that we enjoyed our meal. The food itself was delicious as usual and everything came very quickly. Very happy and will definitely be back.

We had a great lunch at Wagamama today. They have many gluten free options available, which was great for my daughter. She had crispy chicken ramen, and I had the noodles with shiitake mushrooms. Both dishes were very tasty. The service was friendly with a smile, and the place had a nice interior. Paying via QR code on the table was also very convenient.

Aesthetically pleasing dining area, food, the kindest staff, my favourite food. Wagamama’s is the place I introduce to everyone, and if someone hasn’t been, I can't help but audibly gasp. It’s like a calling—I feel compelled to spread the gospel of Wagamama’s to the uninitiated. In the image attached, you’ll see three of our absolute favorites: the prawn firecracker curry, the mini chicken ramen, and the shirodashi pork belly ramen. Let’s take a moment for the mini chicken ramen—yes, it’s from the children’s menu, and yes, it’s only £5.50. But don’t underestimate it. If you’re not in the mood for a huge meal but still want something satisfying, this is a brilliant choice. It comes with marinated chicken breast, thin noodles, chicken broth, pea shoots, carrots, and sweetcorn. Exactly as it appears online, no disappointment here. The waiting times? Short, as long as it’s not packed, and trust me, it’s beyond worth it once your food arrives. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the menu is extensive, offering options for everyone—vegan, vegetarian, Hindu family members, and even the pickiest of eaters. The spicy dishes? They’re actually spicy, not watered down like you’ll find in most places. Refreshing, right? Awful. This place is now a shambles. They cram so many people in, have untrained staff, and a kitchen that can not cope. My last review was bad, but this place has hit rock bottom. Within 90 of entering the building, we were seated and got a drink. Our order miraculously disappeared, and staff weren't aware we had even placed an order. I walked out and will never go back.

I ordered a drink that never showed up. Staff weren’t attentive they didn’t check if our food was ok or we had all we ordered or needed. I eventually flagged down the waiter and asked him to remove my drink from the bill as it never came. Thankfully the waitress mistakenly brought over tap water to us otherwise I would have had nothing at all to drink. Then I find a 1 inch bone in my duck domburi. The waiter is barely interested and either a space cadet or so clueless or never been properly trained in hospitality!! He said he would tell the kitchen. That was it. No proper apology. Normally the manager would come over and apologise and perhaps offer a free drink (if it arrives) or dessert. But nothing. Come on Waga do better ! Not impressed.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. We managed to get a table for 8 when a lot of other venues could not fit us in. Staff were very welcoming with efficient and attentive service. Wagamama have a wide range of dishes on the menu albeit the menu has not had any significant change for a number of years. Food always hot and freshly cooked. A shame the Lucky Buddha is now in cans rather than bottles.

I went there 1st time with my kids just two days ago and we all loved it. Food was delicious, place was nice and clean and service was great. They really looked after us and nothing was hard for them. We all had rose drink which was delicious 😋. I’ve been here 3 times so far and everything was always amazing. I love Japanese food so this is my favourite place to eat in Maidstone.

Came here for lunch after a spot of shopping. I was greeted by Fay, who did a fantastic job making me feel comfortable and welcome. I have autism, so going to a busy restaurant can be a bit daunting, but Fay was very understanding and reassuring. Food was great and came out very quickly, I had the pork ramen and loved every bite of it even slurping down the broth at the end. Fay even recommended the cheesecake for desert and it was delicious! Great job everyone!

The service was really good. The guy we had was very friendly. It's not authentic but good enough Asian fusion food. I had the Thai beef salad and I wasn't sure what was Thai about it to be honest.. The sashimi salmon crispy otsumami is definitely better if you go to a proper Japanese restaurant. The rice was kind of chewy and there was no real flavour from the salmon. Banana katsu (not pictured) was STUNNING though.

Staff are awful at this place,they really don’t care about there customers,one staff member was spraying themself with perfume right behind our table on the staff table,another was on their lunch break on the same staff table and playing a video on there phone very loudly,another employee was shouting at a cook and saying “f* off””leave me alone” very loudly in the middle of the restaurant.when we got our food I got mine first and my partner was left waiting for this,would of preferred to get food at the same time like in any other restaurant ever!!.didn’t get asked if food was ok or if we wanted any more drinks,very bad experience.

Fay was a fantastic waitress showing clear communication and hospitality as I entered, she was continuously attentive to my needs as a customer and patient while I was wearing my headphones and on my phone half the time I was there. Got seated all OK. Party of 3. Two main meals were OK. Coconut Butternut Squash curry, was not nice at all so i left most of it. I wasnt asked why / nobody asks here if you are enjoying your meal half way through. Once you've had your main served, you are invisible! The Butternut curry said it came with vegetables, which consisted of two green beans & one stem of broccoli. We ordered a non alcholic cocktail, the lychee one. It was no where near as good as previous times. They've changed the menu & it seems theyve just made things cheaper / easier for them. The drink used to come in a fancy glass with a straw, says it comes with orange slices (no it doesnt). It came in a beaker shaped plain glass & i could hardly taste any lychee syrup. It was not worth £6. Was like a cloudy lemonade. They have a fairly new system where you pay for your meal using a QR code on the table. I think the serving staff presume that once you've eaten your main, you will pay on a device and sod off! If you need any other service for drinks, or dessert menu, eye contact is avoided at all costs. Our plates were never taken, and it took us and age for someone to realise we needed service after our mains. Drinks order was taken eventually & then deserts, but still our dirty bowls from our mains were not taken. We then gave up & asked them to take the dirty bowls away. They went to walk off & we had to ask again! Was we asking to much? Puddings were out of stock so came home & had to eat as still hungry due to my main being horrible. I will not be returning. We have not had a good experience. Service was non existant! Over priced for what it is.

Arrived at 8.45pm on a Sunday evening It wasn’t very busy We were seated straight away but noticed 2-3 uncleared tables around us and a man who seemed like a manger was trying to direct staff to certain areas but no one was listening Shortly after we sat down a family was seated next to us and then 2 men were also shown to a table. We then sat there and nothing happened for a good 10 minutes no drinks orders taken at either of the 3 tables including ours . At least 8 members of staff were walking around some delivering food and drink - others doing nothing and still the dirty tables weren’t cleared We then noticed two tables had guests shown to them and within a couple of minutes their orders had been at the same time by 2 different staff members and still our table, the family and the 2 men were waiting So we left and this was at least 15 minutes after we first sat down. I wouldn’t mind if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t and it was more frustrating other tables who were sat down after us were served I mention to several staff members why we were leaving and they couldn’t have given less of a care if they tried. Really disappointed as this Wagamama is our local and we use it frequently as always in the past it’s been a great choice for a quick healthy good value for money meal. We have been put off returning

We were sat down reasonably quickly and as we were sitting down we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink without even looking at the menu. We ordered a sparkling water for the table under pressure. We then were waiting for approximately 20 minutes. During this time we were not approached by any member of staff to ask if we were ready to order any additional drinks or starters/mains. We were constantly looking round to attempt to get the staffs attention - to no avail. We were watching the staff ignore us - one guy (who looked like a supervisor/manager) was more interested in making new guests who were arriving laugh. We proceeded to get up and leave in which nobody even seemed to notice. As we left someone immediately began clearing our table of only glasses. No concern as to why we were leaving. We were regular customers of the Maidstone branch but will never be returning now. There was a table of 4 seated next to us who also left shortly before us, without eating or even having a drink. We visited only last week - where they got our orders wrong. Really disappointed as we have been going here for years but with such a young cohort of staff what can you expect.

The food was incredibly delicious and the portions are generous, I wanted so badly to keep eating but I was stuffed so I took some home (I'm not sure if they provide this service, I brought my own box). The staff were really friendly and we were amazed at how quickly the food came out, yet the kitchen can be seen from the dining area so we know for a fact the food is fresh. Another thing to add, the menu is really versatile and great for people with almost any dietary requirements/preferences.

very nice meal, tasty food with an extensive range of dishes, i would recommend the green tea which is complementary. only downsides were the fact that service felt very rushed and not very attentive towards customers, also i found it weird that our starters came out 15 minutes after our mains arrived?! i get they say the food can arrive at different times but you should alwauys have your starter before the main so i found this pretty disappointing, it’s a nice place for a meal but if i’m being totally honest, i’d drive the extra 30-35 minutes to the ashford outlet one.

Came here for my birthday dinner as waga's is my favourite place to go. They where a little busy when we came but after maybe 10 minutes of waiting (usual time) we where sat and served. I'll always get the chicken ramen and gyoza because they fail to disappoint. Our server (fay) was great the whole time, and pretty speedy with our food and drinks. We had complications with paying (we where given the wrong table number(which btw is completely fine)) but she was able to help us out and solve it within moments. Only complaint was the kids running around but that's not wagamamas fault....just control your kids :D other then that was a great experience as per usual

Great service and food.Our go to place with the kids are fairly healthy and quick to cone out,plus even queuing on a Saturday night disent take long.Only downside in Maidstone is when going upstairs to the toilets it's freezing and no hot water so they need to sort that out.

Ordered dinner for four through Deliveroo. Only 3 dishes were delivered. (Wagamamma issue). I phoned the restaurant and they said I would need to contact Deliveroo. Of course you need to ask for an online refund and can’t speak to someone directly just to correct the error. So I requested a refund and ordered a new dish along with 2 sides. The 2nd order arrived with one side missing. This was not a Deliveroo issue but just plain incompetence from Deliveroo Maidstone. I’ve told the family I won’t be ordering again.

Food has improved and was quite good. Service from these youngsters was AWFUL. When I came in this very young lady told me to stand there and wait until she cleaned "my" table, immediately her attitude was COLD and strange. So I stood there while she was getting ready other tables until a lovely gentleman working there came over and sat me down as there was PLENTY CLEAN TABLES. At the end when I got dressed up to pay and leave 3 of them there at the bar just ignoring me standing there and waiting to pay, they looked at me and turned away ignoring me chatting about whatever to each other. Wow right!?! Then lady said "Girls please serve customer" Unbelievable how some people are hired for this job and by the looks of it HATES IT and takes it out on you when you only come for nice meal. Oh yeah and they couldn't even bother to use payment machine, were telling me to press all buttons myself and I had to use/do it myself and enter everything myself which got me stressed I'm not going to lie as I wasn't sure what I'm doing and I never had to set everything up myself to pay at the restaurant!!! This has to be improved and all of that behaviour as its beyond RIDICULOUS!

The food is always tasty at Wagamama's but tonight my meal arrived ten minutes before the rest of my group and wasn't hot but warm. I had to start eating as it would have been cold by the time the rest of the group got their meals. I told the waiter about the temperature of the food but all he said was "sorry about that sir". No offer of a small discount. I was a little disappointed but it happens I guess.

Wagamamas is the place to be. Except for when you arrive as a couple for a walk in. And then wait for 30mins for a table but the table of 9 behind you are offered to get seated first. Despite only arriving two minutes ago. Discussed with the other couples in the que, of whom were happy to share a table with us so that we all could eat. As we all wanted to eat and had been waiting 30mins together. Normally I wouldn’t be disappointed by Wagamamas but now I’ll think twice before coming back to one…

Arrived seen to a seat after a few minutes wait. Placed on a bench time seating , very tired looking premises and furniture, route to the toilets really grotty. Food came out different times but were told to expect this. Music so loud you couldn’t hear each other speak. Very disappointed with whole experience.

I love Waggas, but just ordered 2 x Yaki undon from deliveroo and unfortunately the taste is lacking. In the restaurant it’s delicious. I don’t think it’s the delay as I’ve picked up before, but tonight’s was lacking in flavour.

The food is usually excellent, depending on what you order. The fire cracker prawns or chicken can be very hot at times, be careful. The ramen is excellent, as is the tama squid. The three flavours of cookie dough balls are also excellent. Service can be a little slow, and the communal benches aren’t my favourite.

Do prefer Bluewater in terms of service as Maidstone seem to care about numbers in the door but your partner finishes her food before you get yours. £10 complimentary voucher was an insult.

First time eating at the Wagamamas in Maidstone and we were really pleased. Staff friendly, food was hot and they put a good serving of chicken in the yaki soba. In TWells and Ashford the chicken is very limited. The ramen was beautifully presented. Well done Maidstone - we will be back.

As a family we love this restaurant usually and we’re looking forward to a delicious lunch. Unfortunately the restaurant is so dirty starting at the entrance as the glass in the front door was filthy dirty. The menus we were handed were sticky and covered in stains. I asked for a sparkling water and the glass I was given to pour it into was also filthy. I did ask for a clean glass and a clean menu and the waiting staff did get them for me. I ordered our food which was ok but not great and certainly not the standard we expect from Wagamama. This franchise needs shutting while a deep clean takes place then we may visit again. Very disappointing

I'm not a fan of this Wagamamas, I find the service always pretty poor, however my kids love Wagamamas so back we came. I've given 2 stars purely for the food. Service was, as usual, obisimal. Can not fault the friendliness of everyone front of house but we were there well over an hour because despite it being quite the front of house staff were not really anywhere to be seen, ever!! We waited to order, to be cleared, had to go up to the bar twice to ask to order ice creams and still no one came. We waited for the bill and we then waited to pay it. We were there around 4/5pm, perhaps at a shift change over but still......was awful service! Shame as I'll have to endure you again to keep the kids happy at some point in my life. Hope things improve because the foods good & you're all so lovely!
