Great food, great service and atmosphere however it needs a bit more variety.

Their food is delicious and filling. Lots of protein. Staff are friendly. Great when you need a meal and don't have time to cook

Great food and service! Really nicely designed terrace with plenty of seating inside. The waiter was friendly and got our order quickly. Food arrived fast and most importantly it was delicious! Reasonably priced, good location! Must try!

Their sashimi they sold was just sushi not sashimi. Similar with wasabi food chain but sushi is more expensive than itsu

Came here after work and went with a Chicken katsu curry (always go with this as it’s my favourite). After sitting down and tasting the chicken I wasn’t happy. The chicken wasn’t hot and tasted as if it’s been in the hot hold all day. The curry sauce was also quite cold and the lady was scooping the last bit out for me. I came up and asked very politely if i could have a fresh one (as they just made new chicken and curry sauce). This was apparently a huge mistake. The man decided to eat my chicken and say it’s fine, it’s the best seller and I wanna hurt the family business. The women slammed my food on the counter and continued to call me a “scammer” After saying I didn’t want a problem and I eat here all the time three workers were patronising me telling me “you’ve got what you want and you can leave my store” Never in my life have I felt so awful at a restaurant. I took the food to take away as they made me feel uncomfortable. When opening the food up I received minimum chicken and a container just 90% full of rice. Sadly I’ll never come here again. They don’t take cash and treated me like I was below them. I hope you guys learn how to talk to people and accept when you’re wrong.

Awful chicken, full of fat and cartilage. It was like left over scraps that you wouldn't even give to your dog, it should actually be illegal to serve that kind of food I'm not sure why the reviews were so high, even the vegetarian sushi didn't taste good. The only thing I liked was the Aloe drink, spend your money on Wagamama instead!

Good sushi, but the soy sauce and wasabi pasta weren't enough, it's good that I ordered sushi to home and I had sauces and sushi sticks at home.

Average sushi, heat lamp soggy hot foods and terrible service. Simply asking for an empty bowl to make space to eat both my chicken katsu and the rice easily was frowned upon and charged. Seriously 80p for a disposable bowl. There are so many better options in Maidstone - skip it and go to the Japanese in tunbridge wells instead.

Great spot for some quick fresh Japanese style food. Sushi can be made fresh to order if none are put out and the hot food portions are massive. Well worth the price and will be coming regularly - highly recommend the salmon teriyaki and katsu curry

Lovely food but unfortunately won't be visiting there from now on as they take card only and I had to pay via my business account which was not a business transaction and I had cash on me to pay which is currency,I get business are going this route but its wrong, There for will find another take out that except cash,spoke to other friends and family who also will stop eating at kokoros for this reason.

It’s never a good idea to have hot food served like you would at a buffett, it’s not freshly cooked and just kept warm until a batch is sold out, therefore you run the risk of not knowing how long the food has been out…. We ordered the udon noodles which was cooked to order, waited about 10 mins and was yummy. I opted for the tofu and I should have kept to my thoughts on not ordering hot food. It was just spicy with no other flavours, the tofu literally crumbling. The rice was far too soggy! The cucumber rolls, and seaweed from the fridge was good. Overall it was an ok visit.

This place refused to accept cash and so, no matter what was on their menu, they have no business doing business whilst refusing to accept people's money just because it is easylier for them to do so. They even were willing to let us leave without paying as my son had started with a drink at the table...ridiculous

First time to try this Japanese sushi takeaway shop last night, placed my order and waited for about 10 minutes then I got the hand made sushi. In general, fresh n decent, good portion and value for money. If I go back there again, I’ll try their hot food next time. 😊

Still amazing! Their noodle pots are great value with so much meat with either the noodles or rice unlike other noodle bars! This place is the reason my son was looking forward to getting back from Morocco for their sushi! Old review - Fresh and flavoursome. Really enjoyed the food and pleased to see the staff have their sparkle back. We ordered a ton and one dish was missing but not a problem as promised can collect in couple of days which just means an excuse for more of their yummy food 😋

Amazing food. Polite staff. Kokoro is one my favourite places to get Japanese food and they never disappoint. Nice selection of hot food served. Also the sushi is the best. Recommend anyone to come and eat from here when in the Maidstone area.

Cannot rate this place any less then 5 stars. It’s like double bubble, because the portions are so big you can takeaway half of it for later. Always fast food but the quality is 10/10

The sushi was very dry, all stuck together, and was tasteless. The salmon nigiri was the worst one. Also it's overpriced. Would not recommend this place for Sushi.

Used to love it here but past year each time i go the rice is always overcooked and stodgy and you barely get any curry sauce so your tofu/ meat is dryyyyyyy

Excellent food, good vegan options as well as meat/fish, full of flavour and so reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient. The premises is small and more suited to take away although there is some space to eat in if required. I will,definitely be returning and suggest you call in too!!

ey are located along the high street and I like that, easy to spot and showing casing other types of meals available, other than just fish and chips. There is room for Everton to be successful in this industry. Seating area is on the small the side and it's offering something alternative to the buffet. The food is still of high quality for my personal preference.

We used to be a regular customer but this will be a last time. I paid £3.95 for this. Seems like they try to make it as small as they can!! Some of them not even have some rice in it!!

Food it's mediocre. Noodles and rice are reheated in a microwave and the toppings are kept in a hot plate that it isn't very hot.

Love going here really nice cooked food, well priced staff are always happy and welcoming prices are spot on u pay for what you get there’s loads to choose from definitely worth it evrytime I go along even managed to get my friends in on the food from here

Really nice selection of sushi and hot Japanese food. I visited at a quiet time and realised it's very busy as it approaches lunch. However the queue is fast moving. The food is delicious, I will definitely visit again. If you're in the area give it a try.

Prices have suddenly gone up and chicken tasted a bit like fish, recipe has definitely changed.

Really disappointed Katsu chicken was dry and stale ,there was basically no sauce , couldn’t eat it waste of £20. Disappointed as usually like Kokoro, Not cheap, I won’t bother again.

Disappointing. Staff is unfriendly, they reheat the food in the microwave and it is barely hot. Chicken was hard.

They used to have fairly decent sushi, but not anymore. The sushi are dry, tasteless and badly made (fall apart). They also switched the soy sauce to something that may look like it, but tastes not even close to soy sauce. Will never go again.

Place order at 18:28 Order accepted by Kokoro Delivery between 18:50 and 19:10 No deliver Called restaurant. Staff acknowledged the order, but stated that driver went with order nothing they can do. No apologies. I asked refund. Refund refused. Refused stating no responsible and they closed at 18:30. I pointed out that they should have not accepted the order if they were closing. They took the money, they were responsible for this. Managed extremely rude and unpleasant shut the phone whilst I was talking He should be fired Ps. My son was really looking forward to eating noodles and disappointed and crying Plus no food now

For my son s birthday, he only wanted to eat sushi so we decided to grab some in town. Not only it took 2 hours to prepare 1 platter 5 gyosa and a tuna salmon set, the platter selection wasn t great mainly california rolls made with unripe avocado, one of the set was meant to have Salad and edemame beans well it had a spoonful of cut lettuce and literally 3 beans....very disappointed indeed. You know you ll get an big bill when ordering sushi but that wasn't t worth nor the wait nor the money!

Ordered a lovely Miso soup with my meal over £45 worth as i always do, This time it came as what can only be described as tea looking and not smelling the best miso soup with no bits of relish, onions or leaves in it Just plane what can be described as tea looking Food poisoning is a real thing Please take note guys When asked the gentleman on the phone to see if they had changed the ingredients i was told and rudely so that it might have been the last batch and i was to complain to diliveroo Now if i ran a company with fish and poltry i would really really consider my options on how to approach this very SERIOUS miss handling of Food I am discusted by Kokoro Order number between 8000 and 8100 Sir if you are going to speak to people rudely on the phone Please be careful Who You speak to ! This was my 2nd time in here, ordered a spicy pork with noodles. Never had worst experience in my life there were more 50 chills in a simple pot lol. However I managed to finish it. Next day I had diarrhoea 🤢🤮 3 times in a row. Never going to visit this place again.

Took a mate here who is allergic to fish. Oh how I laughed as he was dragged off to hospital saying something about how he's going to "sort me right out for this!!" he always was an arse.

So we entered the place and waited while they were busy. They made us wait a while instead of attending and serving us. We ordered our food then was given wrong order twice. 1st was chicken katsu curry was mistaken as spicy chicken curry just because of the word "curry" confused the lady even though both had the word curry in it. So instead of apologising the lady decided to argue that it's because curry was said. The second one was the order sweet chilli chicken with rice. The sweet chilli chicken was correct but instead was given noodles. The staff there seems to prioritise themselves over their customers. I've been to Bromley and they've not had a single thing done wrong or even make the customers wait to be served. This isn't good for customer service

the service is bad, the attitude is terrible, 1st time went to maidstone just for a hoilday with my fiancé, i ordered a katus chicken curry, she send me a spicy chicken curry i said i asked for katus chicken curry, she said she change it, she respond to me in a rude way said if i said chicken curry its a normal chicken curry, i said i did say katus chicken curry, while i was waiting she was talking in chinese to her colleague she was rude to her, i can see why ive seen so many bad reviews about this service, i live in london, i use bromley alot of times never had this bad attitude at all, really horrible experience!

Used to be good but they've increased prices and give you less I paid for large mean asked for the sauce separately charged me 50p extra which I was ok with but for gods sake at least give me enough sauce for my meal I had loads of rice and Katsu chicken but not even a quarter filled pot.

The sushi boxes are kinda expensive. The lowest price I could find at the time was roughly £6 for 5 ish bits of salmon nigiri, a pack of pickled ginger, a pack of soy sauce and horseradish sauce. I can see why people hate this place with every atom of their being. I haven't tried the noodles but I've heard of people being sick so bullet dodged there I guess 🙃

I have been to most of the Kokoro's and this was my least favourite because of the decor and slow service. When I got my food, it was so disappointing I had to throw it away

Good food, terrible service. Walked in and there were 4 staff on, not a single one of them greeted you when you came in. Could see they were busy and that's fine (more focused on online orders) but to ignore people is just plain rude. Been here a few times and it's got progressively worse each time. Especially the lady in pink, think she's the manager, she is flippant with customers and terrible to her staff. Don't know about you but to tell her staff off in front of customers and other employees is not the sign of a good manager and you could see it from the other employees as they were slow in there job. Stood there for 5 mins and a guy did the same just before me.
