Wagamama in Swindon

Not much good food to choose from at the outlet centre, but Wagamama always produces the goods! Solid fast and friendly service, food as standard was quality fresh and served soon as it’s ready. Chicken teriyaki soba dish, was incredible with lots of flavours and good portion size. Pretty big seating area but this does get busy on the weekends by 12pm there was 10/20 person wait. Recommend this when visiting the outlet centre. Rating for this visit 8/10.

I ordered the beef brisket, had lots of rice and carrots but a tablespoon full of beef. What was there tasted good but only 2 mouth fulls!

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and all I can just say is wow! The staff are so sweet, I recommend going here if you're craving a delicious meal! However, a bit pricey but worth it!

Outstanding food, love the sharing concept and everything tasted fresh and delicious. My only criticism would be when we asked for recommendations, we were told the menu is too big to recommend anything and it depends on our taste. Apart from that service was snappy and kept well on top of, we finished the lot and would happily return

Good food. Great vegan menu. Really good Wagamama. We always try and go here for food as it is always very good. We have also had takeaway from here many times and the quality is just as good as eating in. Highly recommend it.

Staff was friendly and super quick service. Went mid day and it was full of customers but had more than enough seats for everyone.

Very quick attention from the first waitress, who explained things clearly and checked on our allergies. Then more BRILLIANT attention from three others, including one waitress who true to her promise came back after giving us a few more minutes to choose our food! I was brave choosing my food, because I have intolerances but it was DELICIOUS. (Two good sized gluten free starters - I think that's what they were - instead of a main dish.) A nice atmosphere with all ages of adults and children, and a good view of the kitchen staff who were working INCREDIBLY hard, along with all the other staff. But they listened to me as well, eg to pay complements and ask one or two questions.

£41.50 for 2 bowls of ramen and 1 tea!!!! So, so beef ramen.....looks pretty but soup stock has no depth of flavour and a large sea of coarsely chopped coriander.....Had far better...... Also, I wanted to use the scan the QR code to pay my bill. Unfortunately, when you scan and try to pay your bill, they make it far far more complicated because it asks your name, address and email address. So it is just to scrounge all your data for marketing....2nd visit.... The ramen bowl is no better... Your seat was also under a light that was flickering and the first bowl of ryman arrived with a note to say the next bowl from my partner would be 5 minutes wait....

All staff are always Amazing and Friendly! Lovely, warm and delicious food. Shout out to Alex. Always has good energy! :)

Came for my birthday lunch and was treated to unbelievable service. Great food, loads of vegan options and a good vibe. Not sure if you have changed chef. But the food was next level this time. And the place was super busy. So great job.

Friendly service but zero flavour in the food 😕 Chefs please taste meals and add seasoning. No spice or Asian flavours at all. Disappointed and won't be eating at Wagamamas again.

Ordered Chicken KoKopanko chicken, chicken not cooked properly, hard like it was cooked from frozen and not defrosted. It was the most disgusting chicken, we have ever ordered, 2 portions in the bin. Ordered Chicken Teriyaki soba for my son who was disappointed in the meal. The food was ordered from Swindon Outlet Village. Will not recommend and will not order Japanese food from this chain again.

Overall good but ramens are not warm all the time , not enough broth , chilli squid not crispy sometimes

I went to Wagamama’s for dinner. I had the mushroom bao and crispy mushroom pieces (I didn’t take a photo of the starters), yaki soba with prawns and the cherry blossom non-alcoholic drink. I have been to wagamamas in different city’s and the food has been consistent in each place which is great. I enjoyed my meal. I have rated the food 4 stars as the mushroom bao and noodles were delicious and I would come back just for those. However, the crispy mushroom and the cherry blossom drink were quite disappointing. The mushrooms didn’t have a pleasant taste or texture. The drink tasted of sparkling water and syrup with a sprinkle of flowers to make it look nice. It was overpriced for what it is. I personally wouldn’t order those again. Also the chicken is not halal here. It would be good if they consider the Muslim community in Swindon and change their meat so it’s suitable for a halal diet. It’s a good thing I love prawns, but I know a lot of people don’t. The service has been rated 3 stars as it was quite slow. I tried to make eye contact with the waiters/waitresses many times, but it took a while to get anyone’s attention. I personally think you shouldn’t have to shout out to get someone’s attention, the staff should be checking on diners to see if they are ready to order and if everything’s ok with the meal if someone has been sitting silently for a long time. Overall, it was good. I would come back for the bao and the noodles.

Friendly, helpful staff with prompt service. Not overly busy with space and good seating arrangements.

You go there for the atmosphere but you stay for the service and food. You're not just buying food. You're creating memories whether it is celebrating a moment in time, achievement or just having fun with friends. This is my go to place for some delicious ramen 🍜!

Really enjoyed the food but unfortunately this was overshadowed but their lackluster and in the case of a couple of members of staff, rude! Think they may need a refresher of basic customer service or perhaps seek alternative employment as looking at staff with miserable faces doesn't make for an enjoyable visit.

We came by for my birthday. We were able to order what we wanted and with special requests (specific foods). It was good. Eventually we found a fly in the first dish! So I stopped eating and informed the waiter. The manager came and they gave the option to replace the dish/ refund it. I believe the fly was probably from the vegetables. It was a cooked fly... I think it is a one off though as nobody else had a fly. I was just unlucky.

Food was served very quickly, staff were friendly and the environment was pleasant to eat in. They had a multitude of vegan and vegetarian options

Amazing meal at lunchtime today. Staff were very friendly, particularly Alex and a lady with multiple colours in her hair. Excellent engagement with our children. Food was great and service was fast. Will certainly be our go to when visiting the designer outlet.

Very nice and clean , not everyone from stuff was nice . One guy definitely didn't have a good day, and you could feel it right away , but the other guy was super friendly. Portions have been big , nice and warm and super delicious

Food was nice enough, had nicer ramen elsewhere, waiting 10 minutes between my meal being put down and my wife's is unacceptable though.

Quick service, delicious food & generous portions, with plenty of vegan-friendly options. We were seated straight away, our order was taken quickly & our food arrived within 10-15 minutes. Everything was full of flavour & we particularly enjoyed the vegan seitan ‘ribs’, wok-fried greens & kare burosu (tofu) ramen. We also appreciated the ease of paying from the table using QR code, which meant no hanging around for the bill afterwards. Our first choice for food at Swindon Outlet.

It's ok but parking on a busy day is a nightmare.

The meal didn't seem to be pure Japanese food, but I was curious to know if Japanese food from other countries tastes like this.

I really enjoyed the food and drink, but it unfortunately didn't agree with me and I was quite ill afterwards.

Visited with my young child and wife. Service was excellent and food was as good as you would expect from Wagamama (they get it right consistently!). Server was attentive to both the needs of my son and my partner and I. Recommend a visit!

I've been a bit off on Wagamama near me and as a result haven't been going but I tried the one in Swindon and it was so good. Really chuffed with the food here, cooked well and service was very good. If only they were all as consistent as this one. Thanks team my faith is restored in your outlet anyway!

A lovely place to eat with friends and colleagues. Really tasty food, lots of choice and good value. My favourite is the Tama Squid. Background music is a bit loud, but all great otherwise.

Stopped here while shopping in the outlet centre and we were greeted with excellent service and helpful staff.. the food was beautifully presented and dishes were were explained to us before ordering, and as it was my brothers first time in one of your restaurants this was very helpful. The complimentary green tea is always a bonus. Well done .. we will be back

Wagamama restaurants are usually consistent and we have used many of them over the years. Good freshly cooked food at a reasonable price. What stood out about the Swindon Outlet restaurant was the friendly, efficient serving staff. Chipi in particular was super and he wasn’t the only one. Thank you.

Waited at the door and was ignored by all the staff. Eventually we seated ourselves. Service was ok, but when we asked to split the bill the member of staff looked annoyed and rolled her eyes. In the end one of us just paid the bill. The place was not full, but was very noisy. Overall a poor experience. Quite expensive too for what we had. Food comes out in a random way, mains before starters and soup to finish!

Myself and my partner used to love going to various Wagamamas due to their excellent knowledge of coeliac disease/gluten free. This is why we decided to go to this one in Swindon. We ordered, and I got the allergen aware sticker on my table, and ordered from a separate waiter, I’m assuming a manager. Once the food arrived it tasted very nice but after about 10 minutes of eating, I began to feel quite nauseous so my partner ate the rest of my meal. The rest of the day I was in agony and throwing up a lot, which are the symptoms I get when I have gluten. I had only had food I’d cooked myself, therefore know is safe, and the food I ate at Wagamamas. My partner had no reaction at all from my meal as he is not coeliac. My partner contacted the restaurant to inform them that my meal was not in fact gluten free. They ended up saying there was no way it was the food they served causing my sickness, despite me getting ill mid way through eating it. After several calls and emails later, my partner eventually got a reply around a week later gifting us with a £10 voucher which does not even cover the value of my meal. Needless to say, we have not gone back therefore that voucher is worthless to us.

The music is too loud to have enjoyable evening chatting over a meal with family. I always feel rushed by the serving staff and the meals uninspiring.

Horrible welcome service, extremely unfriendly, arrogant and lacking in manners. We didn’t feel welcome at all. The restaurant was busy but there were at least 3 tables available. Still the waitress was refusing to give us a seat. We had to insist stating the obvious. Instead of placing my plate in the table in front of me the employee just extended his harm and waited for me to take the plate from him. The employees really need training… Starting just with a simple smile would also help a lot.

Great food and good service. Catered very well for our children too with a non-spicy kids menu. Colouring and activities to keep them entertained.

Don't use this one very often but when I have it has proven to be a good choice. I am not a great fan of the name but you don't eat that.

Family friendly, food is as good as other wagamamas however what makes this one a bit special is the speed of service, food service post ordering. I'm impressed by large tables for large groups 5+ There can be a short queue by the door, if in hurry enter from national trust side. Avoid katsu chicken curry l am a bit disappointed that chicken is of ultra-processed quality.

I've been to a few, and this was one of the best. Food spot on, flavours and spice just right.

Great food, not much atmosphere although the staff make an effort.

It’s ok BUT … for the charge made it should be better value , Duck Bao Buns to start .. all bun and no Duck , Chicken and Prawn Pad Thai all pad Thai and very little Chicken and 4 prawns ! Cmon Wagamama you make millions in profit give a bit more of the ingredients that actually cost a bit of money!! …, until then go to a smaller chain and get value !

Absolutely amazing!! First visit and couldn't be happier. Excellent service, ultra attentive waiting staff. Really helpful with recommendations for first time visitors. So many options was difficult to decide. Friendly atmosphere and beautiful decor. Easy access from Swindon designer outlet. Highly recommend

Great oriental style food with good service. Can't be bad.

Tried their chicken katsu curry and some other dishes (name I don't remember) but mannn I loved it! Will definitely visit again.

Good food served quickly in an unfussy restaurant. Ample parking in the outlet center car parks. We use the one to the west, the centre remains open to walk through til late so no issues returning to the car. Food is always good, I'm a particular fan of the yaki udon, but have tried many dishes and loved them all. Deserts have been their weak spot for me, some of their oriental twists in well known deserts haven't always improved them, but the smoked chocolate caramel cake is a winner, and the bananana katsu is great if you've got a sweet tooth.

Quite busy and had to queue, welcomed in the queue with a drinks menu. Gluten free options available with a separate menu. My dish could have had a bit more flavour but was very tasty. Would definitely go again.

Hi guys, me and my vietnamese wife visited this place recenlty, I have been here myself in the past, this place never stops to make amazing food, being married to asian girl I am very familiar with their cuisine, we tried the Pad thai and I had a beef Hot pot, super tasty, fresh and fairly big portions, highly recommend going here for your next asian taste, to be fair this place is a bit busy sometimes you have to wait to go in but worth it ! The typical chill Wagamama atmosphere and great food coupled with a nice open layout of the restaurant which makes it a very warm and welcoming place to come and eat. The food is always fresh and fast. A special mention to the staff who provide impeccable customer service to make sure that you are not left dissatisfied with your food. Vellyo was a great help to us when we came for lunch as he was kind enough to offer my partner another meal, free of charge, when the one they ordered wasn't quite to their taste.

Went on a Saturday night and the place was very busy. Only had to wait for 5 or so mins but probably best to book ahead.

We visited Swindon outlet yesterday and had an amazing food at Wagamama restaurant. Alice the staff who really made a difference to our experience. she was knowledgeable, friendly and very caring. What a fantastic asset every restaurant should have. Well done Alice you are amazing, we will be coming again.

Quick service , disappointed with my prime beef dish as meat chewy and did not eat it all .Noodles went cold very quickly .

This is your standard Wagamama restaurant, however the service is excellent, food is great, and quite a decent location in the Swindon Outlet Centre. Definitely a great place to eat.

I've always enjoyed Wagamama food, I have often ordered spicy miso mackerel bowl, I ordered the same today and got a dish with burnt fish. I told the staff and was told that it looks like that because it's cooked on a tepan grill without oil. I didn't complain anymore but very disappointed. did not enjoy the food at all today.

1st time in Wagamamas with my 2 teens and I loved it! Bex was brilliant, making good food and drink suggestions with a lovely cheerful manner that's usually in short supply in the busy run-up to Xmas. We had a great time, thanks Bex. Very clean and the tasty food arrived quickly. Bigger portions and better value than Yo Sushi. I'm definitely going to Wagamamas again. I recommend the non-alcoholic mojito and ramen.

One of our go to place during holidays and it never disappoints. Cordial staff , lovely atmosphere and quick service.

Ordered a takeaway via Deliveroo as a Friday night treat. One of the 2 main dishes was completely missing, so ruined our night in. Complained via Deliveroo app and only refunded for the missing dish. Crispy squid was stone cold. Never again.

Busy Wednesday lunchtime and cheerful service from Bex. Great food and a pleasure to eat here. Don't forget to slurp our noodles, it's polite in Japan.

We thought we would try somewhere we had never been before - YO Sushi at Swindon Outlet Kept waiting for 5 minutes to be seated with only 3 other tables occupied. Seated and advised to use the QR code thingy for ordering. Darned app wouldn't load or work for over 10 minutes. When it did we then spent 5 plus minutes looking to order the noodle dishes we both wanted and had seen on the entrance window menu. Exasperated, we finally managed to call over a server to seek help. And this is the straw that broke....... "WE DON'T HAVE ANY NOODLES" You have to be kidding. A Japanese restaurant with no noodles! Seriously? So after wasting so much time we up and left and headed to Wagamamas at the opposite end of the building. There we had first class and fast and friendly service AND some seriously good yasai pad Thai with tofu and a yasai yaki soba with mushroom. Yes... Noodle dishes. Sorry YO Sushi. We are unlikely to try you again. And Wagamamas wins

The quality of food was perfect. We were a group of four with four different dishes and all was happy about our dinner😊. Recommend it. They have barcode on each table you can pay with your phone. Even you can split the bill. It was something new for me and really liked it. I have ordred a tropical drink that was fantastic

How can you not love Wagamama's!!!??? If you love Asian food and a huge variety of noodles, different kinds of rice dishes, broths, and so many more delicious things in between, you must pay this restaurant a visit!

Was a bit reluctant to try Wagamams after a few others suggested itnwasnt the best but was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good, service excellent and an around good experience

Amazing experience today at Wagamamas Swindon outlet. Staff were amazing when my husband had a PTSD attack. Once I notified the team that the loud noise (it was very busy), and crowds were exacerbating his issues 2 ladies (whom I don’t know the name of) and a gentleman named Lucas that worked there all assisted in moving us to a quieter area of the restaurant, turned the music off in that area and checked on us to make sure he was ok. Can’t thank these three individuals enough for their swift action in assisting us. I hope Wagamamas give these individuals recognition they deserve ❤️

Had lunch here. Ordered chicken ramen and mushroom teppanyaki. Ramen to me was a bit soft. Teppanyaki is not oily which is good. Overall good quality is fine to me. We sat at the entrance side with arm chair set up which is more comfortable than the bench table.

Fab food as always. The quality is so reliable and service is fast and friendly. I love that you can adapt dishes to suit your own taste as it is cooked from scratch. We come regularly and bring the whole family.
