Wagamama in Liverpool

I would die for wagamamas. It is divine. I always get the tantanmen beef brisket and korean barbecue beef as a side. The service is always top notch aswell.

We enjoyed a dinner in Wagamama Liverpool One on Sat night, but were shocked when they charged us £5 for a tap water served in their refillable open jar and 2 glasses! Our server was very kind. Food was good despite our main meals being served before a starter.

We always love going to Waggys, and we are always well looked after. we were a party of 9 and it was busy but we were seated within 15 minutes. Also one of our party was Coeliac (no wheat, barley other glutens etc) and the restaurant had a really impressive policy to deal with allergy and safe ordering, thank you. As usual food came out as it was ready and we all had a great meal. Food and drinks all good, lovely surroundings and friendly and speedy service. Thank you to all for looking after us.

Very nice place with good food. Everything was smooth. Ordered the duck, and it was awesome. Look out for some spicy dishes.

Very, very slow service and dry, cold gyoza

Set in the city centre amongst a host of other well known eateries, short wait to gain access (it was a Saturday evening) however we were seated 10 minutes after arrival and taken care of by one of their magnificent staff. Food as always was good and served reasonably quickly for how busy they were. On this visit I had my first waganama desert, a white chocolate and ginger cheesecake it was awesome. Well worth a visit.

The initial service was great. We wanted to order more drinks but took ages to get someone's attention. We would have had more but got sick off waiting, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Decided to pay using the QR code. This was painful because phone reception was poor, as was your wi fi.

Fantastic service from all the staff there. They did a marvellous job dealing with our large group. Wagas has a bill splitting online feature which was very useful for us! Also, the toilets were gender neutral individual rooms which is a huge plus.

I ordered chicken ramen. The soup was delicious, but the noodles were the worst. It was a good opportunity to learn about the level of Japanese food overseas.

The man and woman who served us were great and the food and drinks came pretty quickly, the ramen was lovely I just don't think I'm that much of a fan of the brisket but it was still quite nice. The peach iced tea was also very good so I recommend getting that.

We had a lovely dinner today i had the gyoza ramen and it was amazing, our server Kate was an absolute star very attentive and a credit to this restaurant!! thank you so much we will be back xx !!

Seven at table ...2 of the meals had raw chicken complained to the manager given a rubbish excuse it was ginger chicken as a chef it's a load of rubbish .....

Mediocre food: bland and dry. My wife's order arrived 10 minutes before mine, which was appalling given that it wasn't busy, almost as many staff as customers. The toilets were filthy. The seating is uncomfortable: sat on ridiculous hard benches, you need to have individual tables and chairs as an option. The chap who served us was very hard to understand as well.

Popped in for lunch. Decided to eat something different- chicken gochujang rice bowl. Really tasty and very filling. Service was efficient and food came out quick as restaurant was relatively quiet.

Wagamama is our families favourite restaurant as there is something for everyone. Rice or noodles for the children and then something spicy / tasty for the adults. It is well priced and always enjoyed. We’ve never had a bad meal! The service is also really good. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Came in with my husband last night, was served by a young waitress named April. She recommended us some food which we really enjoyed! Will defo be coming back again. Little bit pricey for what you get however.

Dinner eat out with my god daughter and work colleague, they enjoyed their meals and look forward to returning.

It wasn' exactly the taste I was after. Food was ok but I was having better and bigger portions in other countries.

If you've ever had a wagamamas you already know how good it is, if you haven't, why not? The food is delicious and with a wide variety on the menu your spoilt for choice. The staff are more than happy to help decide on what to get.

Excellent starters not too filling. Katsu curry was amazing loads of chicken and rice. The noodle dish was flavoursome and loads of veg and meat

Arrived at 12 on Saturday, so was not initially busy. Ordered 3 chicken catsu curry and 1 yaki soba, where we specifically asked for no egg. They failed on the egg...thank god we don't have allergies !!! The yaki soba came out first then 5 mins later one catsu. Then 10 mins after came the next catsu, the family were almost finished and after 35 minutes had to ask the final catsu to be cancelled. My wife left hungry !!! It was the same issues for at least 4 tables around us. The waiter was nonchalant and just cancelled the catsu with no attempt to compensate or provide alternatives. The family meal was ruined. This was in the midst Christmas shopping trip and felt like we had been robbed financially and of our family shopping experience. The catsu would be best described as frazzled chicken schnitzel with a congealed curry powder gravy slopped over the top of the rice. The salad was bruised and limp. Simple cheap garbage at a premium rate. 2 guests had upset stomach and had to use John Lewis facilities within an hour!!!!! Simply disgraceful. I have now learned that this is typical of the chain and would strongly discourage families from using these restaurants.

Great food and service…… but please read on. Arrived at Wagamama’s around 13:00 Sunday 12 November; been to Waga’s before and wasn’t disappointed with the food, service and ambience either - made to feel welcome in nice clean surroundings. But……. When it was time to pay (with a Wagamama gift card) the table side chip and pin refused to take payment stating that it was ‘void.’ Well, we tried again to be told the same again, nudging into an embarrassing situation; I finally paid in cash ( notes and coins cash that was) but as a last resort figured I should ask the lady serving to check it out again at the main till. It wasn’t ‘void’ at all - the car was unused and perfectly valid. All I’m asking of Waga is, c’mon - what’s up? How many others has this happened to? Because we had the same situation at Waga Liverpool One in the month of June - by the way that card was similarly refused, yet the branch in Manchester had no problem with the same card.

Chicken Ramen was filled with watercress, broth was not that hot- pork gyozas were undercooked. Very loud place, staff is trying to rush things - our drinks came wrong and the entire feeling was to eat quickly and go. I don’t think I will return again.

Came here tonight on a busy Friday night and was greeted and sat quickly, we were approached by our server April who was so lovely and attentive nothing was too much trouble despite it being so busy! April gave us the best recommendations and the best service and I will definitely return! Thanks for making our evening so lovely 😊

Beautiful and cosy place where you can find good food and lovely staff

Daughters meal came with a hair stuck in the chicken. We returned the meal and nothing happened. No replacement came, no communication. The waiter came to collect our plates, and I explained what happened. He was rude and snappy. " what do you want sir" was all he said. In the end our 5 year old daughter had food from our plates and we had to ask for the meal we never had to be taken off the bill. They want you in and out as fast as possible. The middle bit, no one cares. Won't be going back to this one again.

Jedzenie smaczne; po ramenie wylizałam miskę, pierożki też bardzo smaczne. Na menu są wypisane kalorie wszystkich dań, ale jest też opcja dostania karty bez tego. Obsługa kelnerska bardzo uprzejma, z łatwością rozluźnia atmosferę (w przypadku gdy ktoś np. mierzy się z barierą językową). Wystrój przyjemny, a ilość ludzi w środku restauracji świadczą dobrze o tym miejscu.

All started well, staff polite and efficient, ordered quickly, our waiter informed me that the steak on my sobu teriyaki would be medium rare (having this dish multiple times in various Wagamamas around the country) this is exactly what I expected. Our dishes all arrived fast, maybe a bit too fast!!! My son ordered a coconut curry, the peppers and mangetout were raw, not al dente, but raw cold and crispy, as he is not keen on peppers he pushed them aside. My dish arrived and the steak certainly was not medium rare in fact In the middle was so rare/raw it was stone cold. I called the waitress over and she apologised, took it away to get redone(so I thought). When it returned it clearly had to been put back on the grill, now if this was a full piece of steak it might of been fine, but as this steak had been cooked in a whole piece and then sliced it was not fine, what was retuned to me was even more inedible, now over cooked but had been cut so thick I could not chew it. I called the waitress over again, she got another lady involved who I can only presume was and supervisor or manager, she asked what I would like to do, o said I would like the dish as it’s was meant to be medium rare, she asked if I wanted it medium, I said no, I wanted it medium rare and have not yet received it that way (this made me feel like it was my fault and I don’t know what medium rare is) So after waiting for what now felt like forever I saw my dish arrive at the pass, the same lady poked it with a knife to check the cooking of the steak, said something to the chef which I can presume was that it was still under cooked and to cook it some more, the whole dish went in an oven or microwave as the steak was not totally sealed. As she brought the dish out she asked me to check it and told me that she had removed the dish off my bill as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience (nice of her) I’m very pleased she did as when I started eating it the whole dish was greasy, no teriyaki flavour and steak you just could not chew, I pushed to one side, she came and cleared the full plate with no words. We paid the bill via the app, no other word exchanged. We visit Wagamamas a lot this has been the worst, never had a bad one until now.

Great customer service. Faris was especially great, really well mannered and helped us with everything we needed.

The service model of this restaurant is suffocating. The waiter asks you to scan the QR code on the desktop not to order food but only to use it when checking out. You should not let your customers operate according to your ridiculous rules. And when your customers need to communicate with you, you shouldn't be deliberately ignoring them when you see it. Your responsibility is not just to order and serve food.

It’s located on the 2nd floor of Liverpool ONE, which makes the ambiance much nicer for kids as the garden is right in front of it. The taste of kimchi is heaven 🥹 Me and my kids always go to Wagamama for comfort food like ramen and donburi 🥰 This is the 3rd Wagamama we’ve visited and all the staff are always friendly and nice even to my 2yr old. ❤️ (Wagamama Hereford, Swansea and Liverpool) My 12yr old loves the chicken ramen 🍜

Love this restaurant with great vegan options

I have been to Wagamama lots of times but hadn’t visited in a few months and we wanted to check out the latest menu. We couldn’t decide on which new vegan side to choose so ordered them all plus mains each. We had the vegan k-dogs, raisukatsu and oyster mushroom skewers. I had the silken tofu gochujang rice bowl as a main and it was very tasty - the first time I have ever enjoyed silken tofu in a meal. It was delicious and melt in the mouth. I find everything super tasty at Wagamama and was glad that I enjoyed the food as much as ever. Service was very good even though it was busy with a queue forming at the door. The staff were very helpful and our order was all correct even though we asked for changes to some of the standard dishes. This is just the best place I have found for vegan and vegetarian meals. You really feel catered for and not just restricted to the one token V or Veg thing on the menu like most other restaurants. Of course the rest of the menu is delicious for meat eaters. A great place to eat for quick tasty food. Well done Wagamama.

Me and my partner both ordered the vegetable gyoza ramen. When it arrived the gyozas just fell apart in the broth every time we tried to pick one up. I wasn’t expecting authentic Japanese ramen by any means but I thought that ordering the dish would satisfy my cravings for gyozas. It did not. I couldn’t even try the dipping sauce it came with because the gyozas were just too soggy. I probably wouldn’t order from here again, maybe next time I’ll make my own instead of wasting £32 on a subpar bowl of ramen. If you’re looking for good ramen and gyozas look elsewhere.

Yes, it may be a standard wagamamas but also means the food is fresh and tasty, the service polite and prompt and the atmosphere warm and buzzing! I'm scoring it 5 stars because there's nothing to improve!

Loved the ramen. Service was good if somewhat rushed. Quite a noisy place, ok for a quick tasty meal but not for a relaxating evening. Really enjoyed the food and will go back and try other stuff.

I don't like there vegan food, everything is either soya based or tofu based. Not much choice for vegan and vegetarian. Most people they don't like tofu and soya in there diet.

Very disappointed with the noodles. NO FLAVOUR whatsoever. The chef clearly wasn't on it that day. Also it was my first time visiting and I had to douse my meal in soya sauce so that I could eat it. If I was on my own I would've made a complaint and I hate complaining about things. Not sure if if return again.

The food was nice, but the state of your toilets really lets you down. I was always told, if they can’t clean the toilets where the public go, what chance do you have of the kitchen being clean. I’ve visited before and the toilets were in a similar condition. Put it down to a busy period. But no, they’re permanently filthy!!!!! Wall, door and ceiling washing required. Imagine all the poo particles lining every cubicle. Vomit!

I went for a anniversary celebration. Everything is average experience including food. Even though Banana crisp with caramel ice-cream was mind-blowing

Honestly one of the best Katsu curry’s I’ve ever had & the gyoza was amazing. Out waitress, Morgan, was lovely and very accommodating. A massive thank you to the chef and Morgan who absolutely made our visit, will absolutely be coming back!

great food, great sevice atmosphere is subjective to the people around you but my experience was again great. food comes as and when its ready, even if you are unsure on what you'll like, you cant go wrong with yaki soba, although i cant recommend donburi beef brisket or a bowl of grilled chicken ramen enough.

Es gibt auf der Karte einige Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und eine gute Auswahl an Desserts. Toll das es jetzt auch neuen Sake gibt. Die Getränke und das Essen kam zügig, allerdings kam meine Vorspeise zusammen mit den Hauptspeisen meine Begleiter und mein Essen kam dann erst später. Hl

Served by a guy named ares, he had no interest in serving us as a customer, got our order wrong 3 times, and didn’t seem to be listening when we were placing our order, one of our party ended up eating their dinner after everyone else had eaten. He made no attempt to apologise for his mistake, but did find time to add our missing meal that we had waited 40 minutes for, to the bill. Real shame as we normally rave about Wagamamas. You have done us poorly. Shame 😢.

Absolutely amazing. The food was to die for, incredible flavours and lovely presentation. Highly recommend the bang bang cauliflower, katsu chicken curry and the katsu banana (trust me it’s amazing!) the cocktails were delicious too. Service was fantastic, really friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend

Been to many wagamamas but, this is definitely the worst. If you are an allergy sufferer don't go here! The waiter took us to our table and already looked fed up. When taking our order he asked for allergy's and we mentioned my corn allergy and were assured my dish didn't have any possible contaminants. However when my dish arrived it had a single piece of corn buried under the rice. The manager apologised and we got refunded but not attempt was made of an apology by the snarky waiter. Will definitely cross wagamamas off my list as places to go

First time visiting wagamamas Liverpool and was pleasantly surprised to how good it was. Katie the waitress was very kind and helpful. Small hiccup with one of our dishes but was sorted instantly. Food was very nice, tasty and good value for money. Highly recommend😊

Nice but starters are Over Priced!!!!

Love Wagamama. But was a bit disappointed by this one. Mainly the chicken ramen...the noodles were the quality of a 50p dry supermarket packet. Hey, I love cheap a ramen, but I paid £13.50 for this. And the 'greens' was a whole load of watercress or something. It was just a bit basic. I did love the chili squid , as always, that was up to par.
