We visited the restaurant because we wanted the Tantanmen Ramen we are both very familiar with and is our meal of choice but unfortunately when it arrived it bore absolutely no resemblance taste wise to what we were used to in various other branches of Wagamama, as well as the one we were in. The stock used for the dish was tasteless and under-seasoned and when explaining to the waitress why we were returning it I made it very clear the stock was to blame and no amount of the kitchen staff adding the likes of salt to it was going to make it better but we would let the dish be remade. When the meal did come back to the table it was Luke warm and all that had been done to add a taste/flavor to it was the addition of enough chilli sauce to make this chilli lover cough, and enough of some kind of salty flavoring to strip the roof off of a persons mouth. It was inedible and very obvious nothing had been done to add genuine flavor to the base stock and they had done what I’d suspected they might do - disguise the flavorless stock with salt (and chilli). After speaking to the waiter we declined the meal and agreed to speak to the Manager even though it wasn’t necessary - we just wanted to pay for the food we had eaten and for the Ramen to be removed from the bill. And this was when everything changed because it was very obvious the ‘Manager’ took our unhappiness with the Ramen as a personal affront and rather than take a cue from us and put it down to an unfortunate experience; the tasteless, then blow your head off/acrid salty Ramen was our fault because we didn’t know how it was supposed to taste as his 2 head chefs had told him the Ramen was properly cooked. When the chefs were brought into the conversation I asked if he really did think the chefs could be objective about a meal they’d perhaps cooked? His reply was yes, they were, and when I asked were they the 2 chefs who’d earlier had a shouting match in the kitchen he said, ‘I didn’t observe that’. Yet we’d all heard it as had the waitress who was sitting at a table close to the kitchen refilling condiment bottles - she turned around to see what was going on After politely bringing the discussion with the ‘Manager’ to a close when he implied we should be grateful the cost of the Ramen had been removed from the bill as the head chefs said it was perfectly cooked, I also felt he was perhaps thinking we wanted more than that and we were perhaps a pair of chancers. It was something he said about - but you’ll still have to pay for the starters and your drinks, and this was when I told him that every time he spoke he was making the situation worse and that at no stage had we wanted anything more than the Ramen to be removed from the bill. Interestingly enough the ‘Manager’ was the person who’d taken our order and when I took a sip of my already poured before reaching the table sparkling water, I discovered it was a diet sprite instead. The waiter who I then asked to confirm if I had perhaps ordered the wrong drink checked and said, no mistake, you ordered sparkling water, and he very obviously rolled his eyes when telling me. I was asked if I’d like to change the drink but as a gesture of goodwill, mistakes happen, I kept the sprite. And our starters? They were very good. But I’m not sure what was happening at another table who also returned a meal after we did. Unfortunately the ‘Manager’ just couldn’t recognise a customer who wanted absolutely no fuss at all made about having to return their meal, and could only ‘manage’ the situation by making it worse. All in all, apart from the starters, it was a very poor and disappointing show.

Always love the food at Wagamamas but I want to say how they handle allergies is excellent. Albi the manager was extremely attentive and they helped my friend who has multiple allergies find meals which were safe. Breath of fresh air as some restaurants fail at this. Highly recommend the chicken and prawn yaki soba

We started with Duck Baos, Fried Chili Hot Chicken, and Bang Bang Cauliflower—all full of flavour and perfectly cooked. For mains, we had Hot Katsu Curry and Pork Ramen, which were the highlight of the meal. The katsu was crispy and rich, while the ramen had a deep, flavorful broth. Everything was delicious, but the mains were our favourite! Highly recommend and will definitely be back

La camarera convocó a una camarera alérgica para hablar con mi madre a través de su orden y fue muy particular y servicial en todos los sentidos. La comida y el servicio fue excepcional y todos tuvieron una gran experiencia. He estado en muchos Wagamamas en todo el país y siempre he estado muy impresionado con el estándar de la comida y el entorno. Normalmente hemos tenido que hacer cola por el privilegio (a veces hasta una hora ) pero no anoche . Directamente en la sucursal de Liverpool y bebiendo un Asahi frío en cuestión de minutos. Pedido un pollo y langostino Yaki Soba para el primero y chico no nos decepcionaron. Primera clase. Excelente entorno y personal muy servicial. Haré un punto de visitar de nuevo pronto cuando el próximo en Liverpool. Bien hecho todo.

Waited twenty minutes to get in. staff rushed and borderline rude. got seated, waited another ten and no service. left hungry and appalled. lighting was bright and the open plan with hard surfaces was profoundly noisy. manager was too busy telling her boyfriend she finished at 6 to listen to any feedback. possibly the worst dining attempt I can imagine and disappointing in the extreme, left hungry and ignored. never again.

Our server Steph was great however, my steak teriyaki soba was served very rare, bleau in the middle where the meat was still translucent, when I asked for it medium rare a different server (manager?) came back and told me that they had "checked and that is medium rare". It is fine if they serve steak rarer than I like as standard, it is not fine to advertise that as something other than it is and then tell me I'm wrong about it in a condescending manner. The steak that was later brought out to me was very well done and tough but I suppose they were being better safe than sorry.

Long queue to get in but it went down fast. Food was fab as usual. However, they had run out of a certain type of chicken so the kids had to choose a different meal. My son is lactose intolerant and as such the order was only allowed to be taken by the manager who was helping someone else. Had to wait. There was a big focus on 'the allergy' by various staff and my son felt very self conscious. He was not happy that I mentioned his intolerance. It was great that the restaurant had a policy for allergies however, order taking and coming with food could have been done more tactfully.

Wagamama is usually a consistent and reliable choice but this time it was slightly below expectations. It was very busy but we only waited for around 10 minutes for a table which we were happy with. Drinks and food order was taken around five minutes after being seated. They had ran out of chicken so we couldn’t order the children’s chicken ramen or the chicken dish that I wanted. (Chicken teriyaki soba). We should have been informed whilst being seated as we had to quickly change our choices at the last moment. The drinks and food arrived promptly. The steak teriyaki soba seemed a smaller portion than usual. There was very little bok choi and what there was seemed to be the off cuts and not up to standard. My wife’s chicken and prawn pad Thai was also a little lacking compared to normal standards in terms of quality. If felt that due to the restaurant being busy the kitchen was running low on stock and they were stretching what then had to get through service. Service was efficient and all good but a little disappointed with the standards of food on this occasion.

I am a longtime fan of Wagamama and Asian fusion food in general. My daughter and I are addicted to their chilli squid appetizer, which is simply delicious. The beef and kimchi gyoza come in at a very close second. If you like fresh juices then try out their Power juice, a very refreshing mix of apple, spinach and I think ginger. The only negative point, if you can call it that, is how loud it can get when it's full. We always try and visit when we're in Liverpool 👍😀

Absolutely shocking service!!!! I am regular and love the food and usually really nice friendly service. But today was dreadful!!! We arrived about 9pm. Been sat down without the menus, my friend had problem speaking English so I had to translate a lot, server was soo impatient that she was making remarks about kitchen closing so we need to hurry up, stressed we ordered the meal which was up to standard as always. Every interaction with server was making us feel unwelcome. Asked for cutlery as my friend was struggling with chop sticks. Had to wait for them even tho place was empty but she was busy cleaning tables instead. And clearly in the rush to finish. As soon as we finished meal she snatched the plates with forcefull attitude. I work in hospitality nearly 20 years. Both front and back and I would never dream to act like that towards paying customers. Disgusting. If she was in soo much rush to get out she should get out of the job that she clearly hates.

They started with saying Kare burosu is not available. So we chose chili chicken ramen and firecracker. We waited for 15 mins, we got chili chicken but didn't get firecracker. Waited for some more time then finally asked for the status of my order. That's when they realised they ran out of tofu. So 80% of the vegan menu was not available. Then I chose some shiitake dish and the order was served to me. And I really appreciate their efforts they managed to get tofu in my dish. Last time when we went they missed the whole order, we had to tell them again what we had ordered after 25 mins waiting.

Overrated,overpriced,shocking service. Went there with wife and son,busy Sunday lunch time,loads of staff but at times they were bumping into each other so chaotic the service was. No organisation whatsoever,lack of communication in between staff,chefs,etc. Several staff going for a smoke right in front of the restaurant including chefs which is not a good look,my orders came wrong,one was missing and the ones that came missed ingredients,example,fried banana with ice cream desert,came with no ice cream,stuff like that.Was trying to flag member of staff,went pass me as my hand was up to call her,gave me the daggers and said I’m busy i have to go back there with a right face on her,could have come too us and said politely,be back with you in a minute which would’ve been ok. £100 quid I left there for 3 people. Don’t mind paying so long the expense is worth it. Had a better ramen and an overall experience in a local Wetherspoons.. Wagamama was nice at the beginning,now,overrated expensive grub. Will not return

The food was ok and a good place to hang out with your friends. There was also a high chair for babies so, it is ok to take your babies but not a quite baby friendly place because there were not many places to park your prams and the dining tables were high. Also, there were no toys or crayons for toddlers. Unfortunately, my husband had food poisoning after the food for a few days. It was really bad. The hygiene must have well managed. Generally, I can give 3 stars to this restaurant, but because of food hygiene, I rate 1 star for food.

Had a fantasic meal here last night it is now one of our favourite Restaurant to go to !! The food is always fresh and tasty with great Ingredients and the menu has so much to choose from , great for Vegans too( 50% of the menu is Vegan ) the service is so fast and very Efficient and they are so helpful with the menu !! This place is always busy but you can't book in advance but has a fast turn around we only had to wait a couple of minutes to get a seat !!

This is an ok place for grabbing a bite to eat if you don't have to queue as they don't do bookings. Don't understand why there are no bookings. The food is ok. I've been twice, and the first time, I was underwhelmed with the pad thai noodles I had ordered. I felt I had to hunt for the meat in there. Not good value at all. The second visit was a bit better. I had the duck donburi but just so much rice compared with its topping. It's a bit like a canteen with wooden benches which aren't very comfortable at all. The service is very good though and the staff who served us were very knowledgeable about the menu which was a credit to them. I think to improve, more comfortable seating is a must, and of the dishes I had, the ratios are wrong on the value side of things.

Great Asian restaurant in Liverpool, inside the “One” shopping mall. I ordered the chicken teriyaki donburi and it was delicious. The service is great, very kind. The restaurant offers hot green tea free of charge. The atmosphere is very relaxed, people sit together at large tables. Thanks!

Horrible experience, they lost the baby change key so I had to change my baby on a toilet lid. My friend had to change her baby on the floor. Both baby’s were very upset and all Josh the manager had to say was yeah sorry someone must of took it home. Zero compassion or emotion from him at all and very rude about it. Food was average and cold as they left me standing outside the baby change for 10 minutes before letting me know they didn’t know where the key was. I am beyond disgusted, would of been very upset myself if it wasn’t for the lovely girl hollie on shift.

Posted a review last night, they removed it. I went with my family and all good until i opened my serviette, I found blood spots in mine, my daughters was the same and my wife’s also had blood spots on her serviette. I asked the waiter to explain and he took them away he never came back with any fresh ones and did not even apologies for what happened. We paid our bill and still no apologie. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AS ITS A DISGUSTING DIRTY RESTAURANT WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT HEALTH AND HYGENE.

Went here with my wife and two kids. All good service ok drinks etc until I opened my serviette and it had blood spots in it, we opened my sons and my wife’s and they were the same, blood spots. Called the waiter over he took them away, worst thing was he never apologised. After we had payed online I thought someone would apologise but nothing. As we were leaving I went to the waiters to at least get an apology but still nothing. IT IS NOT EXCEPT-ABLE TO FIND BLOOD IN SERVIETTES IN A PLACE WERE PEOPLE EAT….. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS DISGUSTING DIRTY RESTAURANT.

Usually Wagamama experience is quite pleasant and the good is fabulous. But this time at Liverpool one today one of the staff was really horrible. Emily came to take the order and was not at all courteous or polite. After the order was served which was not so great this time we asked a staff member for the bill and paid it with debit card. As soon as we were walking out of the door Emily shouted back on rudely asking if we had paid. That shout in itself was very insulting in front of other customers and were really offended. I told her thst we paid to her colleague and even showed my bank account that the payment was through to Wagamama. She still insisted us to wait until the fellow who took the payment came and cleared us. No apology was rendered and that was a ridiculous experience. I think Wagamama should train their staff to be polite, courteous and nice. That is what customer service is. I and my family will never go yo Wagamama again. Now that staff has made the corporate lose at least 25 customers in the family plus other friends.

Was a superb restaurant, I met Anto before he opened , he was in Liverpool looking for a location and found Rodney st .. unfortunately it has had to close , not sure why , it's a shame , I hope they sort out the staff if wages are owed, sad to see a nice place close times are difficult..much bigger restaurants than this have closed there doors. Hope the staff find jobs , Anton I hope you are ok , it's a tuff time ,
