Wagamama in Liverpool

Hollie was incredibly lovely, and the food was great as always!!

Our server Steph was great however, my steak teriyaki soba was served very rare, bleau in the middle where the meat was still translucent, when I asked for it medium rare a different server (manager?) came back and told me that they had "checked and that is medium rare". It is fine if they serve steak rarer than I like as standard, it is not fine to advertise that as something other than it is and then tell me I'm wrong about it in a condescending manner. The steak that was later brought out to me was very well done and tough but I suppose they were being better safe than sorry.

Long queue to get in but it went down fast. Food was fab as usual. However, they had run out of a certain type of chicken so the kids had to choose a different meal. My son is lactose intolerant and as such the order was only allowed to be taken by the manager who was helping someone else. Had to wait. There was a big focus on 'the allergy' by various staff and my son felt very self conscious. He was not happy that I mentioned his intolerance. It was great that the restaurant had a policy for allergies however, order taking and coming with food could have been done more tactfully.

Wagamama is usually a consistent and reliable choice but this time it was slightly below expectations. It was very busy but we only waited for around 10 minutes for a table which we were happy with. Drinks and food order was taken around five minutes after being seated. They had ran out of chicken so we couldn’t order the children’s chicken ramen or the chicken dish that I wanted. (Chicken teriyaki soba). We should have been informed whilst being seated as we had to quickly change our choices at the last moment. The drinks and food arrived promptly. The steak teriyaki soba seemed a smaller portion than usual. There was very little bok choi and what there was seemed to be the off cuts and not up to standard. My wife’s chicken and prawn pad Thai was also a little lacking compared to normal standards in terms of quality. If felt that due to the restaurant being busy the kitchen was running low on stock and they were stretching what then had to get through service. Service was efficient and all good but a little disappointed with the standards of food on this occasion.

I am a longtime fan of Wagamama and Asian fusion food in general. My daughter and I are addicted to their chilli squid appetizer, which is simply delicious. The beef and kimchi gyoza come in at a very close second. If you like fresh juices then try out their Power juice, a very refreshing mix of apple, spinach and I think ginger. The only negative point, if you can call it that, is how loud it can get when it's full. We always try and visit when we're in Liverpool 👍😀

We visited Wagamamas to have dinner with friends and Edita was very welcoming, warm and supper professional. She offered as recommendations, starters, mains. She made us feel comfortable and was kind and not pushy. She is truly a credit to the company. Highly recommend Wagamamas.

Perfect go to place when you are starving. Love their portion size.

Sat and waited to order as we were told someone would come to order drinks with us. No one came after 10 mins. Gave us a table number to order through the barcode and that didn’t exist. Just poor service wasn’t even busy. Walked out n went somewhere else.

Visiting Liverpool for a few days and desperate for something healthy and tasty to eat. Found wagamamas and knew I would be OK. Helpful staff, quick service, delicious vegan choices. Thank heavens for wagamamas!

Absolutely shocking service!!!! I am regular and love the food and usually really nice friendly service. But today was dreadful!!! We arrived about 9pm. Been sat down without the menus, my friend had problem speaking English so I had to translate a lot, server was soo impatient that she was making remarks about kitchen closing so we need to hurry up, stressed we ordered the meal which was up to standard as always. Every interaction with server was making us feel unwelcome. Asked for cutlery as my friend was struggling with chop sticks. Had to wait for them even tho place was empty but she was busy cleaning tables instead. And clearly in the rush to finish. As soon as we finished meal she snatched the plates with forcefull attitude. I work in hospitality nearly 20 years. Both front and back and I would never dream to act like that towards paying customers. Disgusting. If she was in soo much rush to get out she should get out of the job that she clearly hates.

I dont know what they put on the broth of tantan beef ramen. The broth and the beef are tasteless

First experience at Wagamama and I would definitely recommend it,We got served by a lovely girl her name was Olivia she made us feel so welcomed and relaxed and a lovely smile on her face, the food was very nice,definitely will be coming back next time we have a day out in Liverpool from Anglesey,North Wales 😊

Nice food, wish the food came out all at the same time. Literally eating whilst my kids waiting for there food.

They started with saying Kare burosu is not available. So we chose chili chicken ramen and firecracker. We waited for 15 mins, we got chili chicken but didn't get firecracker. Waited for some more time then finally asked for the status of my order. That's when they realised they ran out of tofu. So 80% of the vegan menu was not available. Then I chose some shiitake dish and the order was served to me. And I really appreciate their efforts they managed to get tofu in my dish. Last time when we went they missed the whole order, we had to tell them again what we had ordered after 25 mins waiting.

We had a fab time at Wagamamas liverpool. We are here for the weekend but couldn’t not visit. Joel was our server and he was amazing. Very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back!

Overrated,overpriced,shocking service. Went there with wife and son,busy Sunday lunch time,loads of staff but at times they were bumping into each other so chaotic the service was. No organisation whatsoever,lack of communication in between staff,chefs,etc. Several staff going for a smoke right in front of the restaurant including chefs which is not a good look,my orders came wrong,one was missing and the ones that came missed ingredients,example,fried banana with ice cream desert,came with no ice cream,stuff like that.Was trying to flag member of staff,went pass me as my hand was up to call her,gave me the daggers and said I’m busy i have to go back there with a right face on her,could have come too us and said politely,be back with you in a minute which would’ve been ok. £100 quid I left there for 3 people. Don’t mind paying so long the expense is worth it. Had a better ramen and an overall experience in a local Wetherspoons.. Wagamama was nice at the beginning,now,overrated expensive grub. Will not return

The food was ok and a good place to hang out with your friends. There was also a high chair for babies so, it is ok to take your babies but not a quite baby friendly place because there were not many places to park your prams and the dining tables were high. Also, there were no toys or crayons for toddlers. Unfortunately, my husband had food poisoning after the food for a few days. It was really bad. The hygiene must have well managed. Generally, I can give 3 stars to this restaurant, but because of food hygiene, I rate 1 star for food.

Amazing customer service as always my go to place in Liverpool to eat! Ate with children and had drinks was decently priced and staff couldn’t do enough to help!

Had a fantasic meal here last night it is now one of our favourite Restaurant to go to !! The food is always fresh and tasty with great Ingredients and the menu has so much to choose from , great for Vegans too( 50% of the menu is Vegan ) the service is so fast and very Efficient and they are so helpful with the menu !! This place is always busy but you can't book in advance but has a fast turn around we only had to wait a couple of minutes to get a seat !!

I visited on a Friday evening for dinner with my daughter. I was immediately greeted with fast service and the manager personally took upon our order ensuring my daughter's allergies and dietary needs were addressed. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl which was phenomenal and I would definitely come here again!

Food was fine at lunch time, but the staff's working there have no smiles, look like they want to go home, got ignored couple times when want to order...

As usual you cannot go wrong with this place! Food was great. Service was good, but drinks slow. Only got served my second drink after I finished my meal, really wanted it with my meal. The toilets so disappointed, they smelt and floor wet and slippery.

Food was good old Wagamamas but the service was poor. Bit slap dash, didnt explain things well. Not bothered about going back.

Wonderful staff and great food!

Wagamama very rarely disappoints. The brisket ramen and vegan corn dogs were great. We weren’t so taken by the roti but overall we very much enjoyed the meal. The service (we had Ava) was very good.

This is an ok place for grabbing a bite to eat if you don't have to queue as they don't do bookings. Don't understand why there are no bookings. The food is ok. I've been twice, and the first time, I was underwhelmed with the pad thai noodles I had ordered. I felt I had to hunt for the meat in there. Not good value at all. The second visit was a bit better. I had the duck donburi but just so much rice compared with its topping. It's a bit like a canteen with wooden benches which aren't very comfortable at all. The service is very good though and the staff who served us were very knowledgeable about the menu which was a credit to them. I think to improve, more comfortable seating is a must, and of the dishes I had, the ratios are wrong on the value side of things.

Great Asian restaurant in Liverpool, inside the “One” shopping mall. I ordered the chicken teriyaki donburi and it was delicious. The service is great, very kind. The restaurant offers hot green tea free of charge. The atmosphere is very relaxed, people sit together at large tables. Thanks!

Horrible experience, they lost the baby change key so I had to change my baby on a toilet lid. My friend had to change her baby on the floor. Both baby’s were very upset and all Josh the manager had to say was yeah sorry someone must of took it home. Zero compassion or emotion from him at all and very rude about it. Food was average and cold as they left me standing outside the baby change for 10 minutes before letting me know they didn’t know where the key was. I am beyond disgusted, would of been very upset myself if it wasn’t for the lovely girl hollie on shift.

Great Asian food. Better than my expectations

Posted a review last night, they removed it. I went with my family and all good until i opened my serviette, I found blood spots in mine, my daughters was the same and my wife’s also had blood spots on her serviette. I asked the waiter to explain and he took them away he never came back with any fresh ones and did not even apologies for what happened. We paid our bill and still no apologie. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AS ITS A DISGUSTING DIRTY RESTAURANT WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT HEALTH AND HYGENE.

Went here with my wife and two kids. All good service ok drinks etc until I opened my serviette and it had blood spots in it, we opened my sons and my wife’s and they were the same, blood spots. Called the waiter over he took them away, worst thing was he never apologised. After we had payed online I thought someone would apologise but nothing. As we were leaving I went to the waiters to at least get an apology but still nothing. IT IS NOT EXCEPT-ABLE TO FIND BLOOD IN SERVIETTES IN A PLACE WERE PEOPLE EAT….. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS DISGUSTING DIRTY RESTAURANT.

Usually Wagamama experience is quite pleasant and the good is fabulous. But this time at Liverpool one today one of the staff was really horrible. Emily came to take the order and was not at all courteous or polite. After the order was served which was not so great this time we asked a staff member for the bill and paid it with debit card. As soon as we were walking out of the door Emily shouted back on rudely asking if we had paid. That shout in itself was very insulting in front of other customers and were really offended. I told her thst we paid to her colleague and even showed my bank account that the payment was through to Wagamama. She still insisted us to wait until the fellow who took the payment came and cleared us. No apology was rendered and that was a ridiculous experience. I think Wagamama should train their staff to be polite, courteous and nice. That is what customer service is. I and my family will never go yo Wagamama again. Now that staff has made the corporate lose at least 25 customers in the family plus other friends.

Amazingly quick service, relative to many other Wagamama places we've been. Food portions are bigger than Sheffield's Wagamama portions!! Friendly and attentive staff

Just had a lovely Vegan Soulful Bowl served by the amazing Faris at the Liverpool One Wagamama. I keep going back to this place for the fresh healthy tasty vegan food.

I would die for wagamamas. It is divine. I always get the tantanmen beef brisket and korean barbecue beef as a side. The service is always top notch aswell.

Visited late on a Friday with a group of four, we were seated in no time. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and came out pretty fast. The drinks looked interesting but I was driving so I couldn't try the alcoholic ones but the smoothie was great. Overall very pleased with the visit so will visit again!

Lovely asian food, but the hostesses don't give too much attention to the people waiting, especially when the weather outside is bad.

We enjoyed a dinner in Wagamama Liverpool One on Sat night, but were shocked when they charged us £5 for a tap water served in their refillable open jar and 2 glasses! Our server was very kind. Food was good despite our main meals being served before a starter.

We always love going to Waggys, and we are always well looked after. we were a party of 9 and it was busy but we were seated within 15 minutes. Also one of our party was Coeliac (no wheat, barley other glutens etc) and the restaurant had a really impressive policy to deal with allergy and safe ordering, thank you. As usual food came out as it was ready and we all had a great meal. Food and drinks all good, lovely surroundings and friendly and speedy service. Thank you to all for looking after us.

Very, very slow service and dry, cold gyoza

Set in the city centre amongst a host of other well known eateries, short wait to gain access (it was a Saturday evening) however we were seated 10 minutes after arrival and taken care of by one of their magnificent staff. Food as always was good and served reasonably quickly for how busy they were. On this visit I had my first waganama desert, a white chocolate and ginger cheesecake it was awesome. Well worth a visit.

The initial service was great. We wanted to order more drinks but took ages to get someone's attention. We would have had more but got sick off waiting, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Decided to pay using the QR code. This was painful because phone reception was poor, as was your wi fi.

Fantastic service from all the staff there. They did a marvellous job dealing with our large group. Wagas has a bill splitting online feature which was very useful for us! Also, the toilets were gender neutral individual rooms which is a huge plus.

I ordered chicken ramen. The soup was delicious, but the noodles were the worst. It was a good opportunity to learn about the level of Japanese food overseas.

The man and woman who served us were great and the food and drinks came pretty quickly, the ramen was lovely I just don't think I'm that much of a fan of the brisket but it was still quite nice. The peach iced tea was also very good so I recommend getting that.

Seven at table ...2 of the meals had raw chicken complained to the manager given a rubbish excuse it was ginger chicken as a chef it's a load of rubbish .....

Mediocre food: bland and dry. My wife's order arrived 10 minutes before mine, which was appalling given that it wasn't busy, almost as many staff as customers. The toilets were filthy. The seating is uncomfortable: sat on ridiculous hard benches, you need to have individual tables and chairs as an option. The chap who served us was very hard to understand as well.

Popped in for lunch. Decided to eat something different- chicken gochujang rice bowl. Really tasty and very filling. Service was efficient and food came out quick as restaurant was relatively quiet.

Fantástico y lleno de gente pero los camareros son muy rápidos, pedimos 2 Ramen porque con el frío que hacía lo único que nos apetecía era algo caliente, uno de pollo y otro de ternera picante. Bastante buenos y calentitos. A nosotros nos supieron a gloria. Volvería sin dudarlo. Los camareros súper amables.

Wagamama is our families favourite restaurant as there is something for everyone. Rice or noodles for the children and then something spicy / tasty for the adults. It is well priced and always enjoyed. We’ve never had a bad meal! The service is also really good. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Came in with my husband last night, was served by a young waitress named April. She recommended us some food which we really enjoyed! Will defo be coming back again. Little bit pricey for what you get however.

Dinner eat out with my god daughter and work colleague, they enjoyed their meals and look forward to returning.

It wasn' exactly the taste I was after. Food was ok but I was having better and bigger portions in other countries.

My partner and I came in for dinner for my birthday, we told April (our server) that it was a special occasion and she went above and beyond to make it special for me. Great food, yummy cocktails and exceptional service. Thank you April! X

If you've ever had a wagamamas you already know how good it is, if you haven't, why not? The food is delicious and with a wide variety on the menu your spoilt for choice. The staff are more than happy to help decide on what to get.

Excellent starters not too filling. Katsu curry was amazing loads of chicken and rice. The noodle dish was flavoursome and loads of veg and meat

Arrived at 12 on Saturday, so was not initially busy. Ordered 3 chicken catsu curry and 1 yaki soba, where we specifically asked for no egg. They failed on the egg...thank god we don't have allergies !!! The yaki soba came out first then 5 mins later one catsu. Then 10 mins after came the next catsu, the family were almost finished and after 35 minutes had to ask the final catsu to be cancelled. My wife left hungry !!! It was the same issues for at least 4 tables around us. The waiter was nonchalant and just cancelled the catsu with no attempt to compensate or provide alternatives. The family meal was ruined. This was in the midst Christmas shopping trip and felt like we had been robbed financially and of our family shopping experience. The catsu would be best described as frazzled chicken schnitzel with a congealed curry powder gravy slopped over the top of the rice. The salad was bruised and limp. Simple cheap garbage at a premium rate. 2 guests had upset stomach and had to use John Lewis facilities within an hour!!!!! Simply disgraceful. I have now learned that this is typical of the chain and would strongly discourage families from using these restaurants.

Great food and service…… but please read on. Arrived at Wagamama’s around 13:00 Sunday 12 November; been to Waga’s before and wasn’t disappointed with the food, service and ambience either - made to feel welcome in nice clean surroundings. But……. When it was time to pay (with a Wagamama gift card) the table side chip and pin refused to take payment stating that it was ‘void.’ Well, we tried again to be told the same again, nudging into an embarrassing situation; I finally paid in cash ( notes and coins cash that was) but as a last resort figured I should ask the lady serving to check it out again at the main till. It wasn’t ‘void’ at all - the car was unused and perfectly valid. All I’m asking of Waga is, c’mon - what’s up? How many others has this happened to? Because we had the same situation at Waga Liverpool One in the month of June - by the way that card was similarly refused, yet the branch in Manchester had no problem with the same card.

Chicken Ramen was filled with watercress, broth was not that hot- pork gyozas were undercooked. Very loud place, staff is trying to rush things - our drinks came wrong and the entire feeling was to eat quickly and go. I don’t think I will return again.

Came here tonight on a busy Friday night and was greeted and sat quickly, we were approached by our server April who was so lovely and attentive nothing was too much trouble despite it being so busy! April gave us the best recommendations and the best service and I will definitely return! Thanks for making our evening so lovely 😊

Beautiful and cosy place where you can find good food and lovely staff

Daughters meal came with a hair stuck in the chicken. We returned the meal and nothing happened. No replacement came, no communication. The waiter came to collect our plates, and I explained what happened. He was rude and snappy. " what do you want sir" was all he said. In the end our 5 year old daughter had food from our plates and we had to ask for the meal we never had to be taken off the bill. They want you in and out as fast as possible. The middle bit, no one cares. Won't be going back to this one again.
