Disappointed - used to visit the restaurant regularly. This time we decided to order a delivery and had to use Deliveroo. Placed an order of £80 value, had confirmation of the order and a delivery window. The order arrived almost an hour late and the food was cold. No apology or reason given for this. I would assume the order had been sitting on the pass waiting for Deliveroo to collect it and it had just been left to go cold. This was midweek so not a case of being unable to cope with weekend spike demand. Food quality has gone down in recent years and clearly the delivery service is not good enough. We have been left with a very disappointing experience and will not be rushing back. 😕

Been a few times to Waga Mama and it doesn’t disappoint. I really need to branch out and order more things off the menu as each time I keep ordering the chicken katsu curry as it’s so good. Staff all very friendly and welcoming too

We've been there a few times. Delicious food, we enjoy the teppanyaki with salmon or duck. The staff is very friendly, quite comfortable place. Easy to order and pay online.

The firecracker katsu curry has some kick to it but it’s very enjoyable if you can handle spicy foods. Nice green tea as well which is complimentary. Nice service.

Extremely expensive, really uncomfortable seating (inside, in the form of really narrow benches!), bored service attendants and mediocre food. Regretted our visit, wouldn’t recommend at all.

We were made to wait almost an hour for a childs meal and two sides. Horrendous. My son began crying because he was so hungry, and others around us got full size adult meals before our beloved son got his tiny katsu curry. Also the waiter was extremely rude and unhelpful. Overall, worst experience ive had in wagamamas, will not be coming back.

My husband and I go here every week. The food is always amazing and the staff are great. On one occasion, I fell ill in the restaurant, and Ada, the manager, took us to the back to get some space. I genuinely can't put into words how amazing she was. The attentiveness and knowledge were on point. My husband knows what to do when I pass out and usually handles it himself, but because of Ada, I had a safe, quiet place and dignity. Onto the food...it was fresh and tasty and so moreish. We've never had an issue with the food at all. The other staff members are absolutely brilliant too, on the ball and fantastic service.

1st time visit. Food was absolutely fabulous. Tasty, hot, salmon cooked perfectly and great portion size. Our server was Lauren, super efficient and friendly.

3 years ago, I ate ranen and it was cold. This time, there was a tiny bit of chicken and so much rice. Not a balanced meal at 15.00. Will never be back.

Food was cold (ramen) had to send it back got new meal 30mins later no taste left most of it. asked for bill 3 times.. again waiting 20mins the place was not busy..Was disappointed as been here before and had a good meal then...but not this time..

Wagamama Livingston. The staff in particular Daria and Euan were both very informative of the menu and the new dishes for recommendations and they were spot on. Fast and friendly service.

Went with my sister for the first time and wow. Just wow. More than what we both ever expected it to be. For starters, staff were incredibly kind in explaining everything, and our order came really fast. The food was incredible. I got the pulled pork gyoza as my side, and it tasted different than what I was expecting it to, but it's still good all the same. Also got the tropical juice, and the only problem was it had a few bits in it, but I was fine with that. Me and my sister got a hot katsu curry between us, and the portion size was just enough for the both of us. Spicy, sure, but manageable spicy. My sister got the tama squid. The crispness on this was immaculate. Also tasted good, which I was surprised at because I'm not too fond of seafood too much. She also got an iced coffee as her drink, but she needed sugar added, or it just tasted gross. Overall, a fab dining experience that we will certainly be going back to.

Having been a huge Wagamama’s fan, was very disappointed in my recent experience. Service was slow but for me the real disappointment was the very poor quality food. Chilli Squid starter was pretty bland the Chicken Katsu curry was awful - quality of the chicken was nasty and to the point where I left part of my meal - which was a first at this chain. The accompanying salad was also pretty underwhelming. I had a similar experience in this chain’s Belfast restaurant recently which I put down to a one off but seems the quality and standards have dropped as significantly as the prices have risen. Probably will be my last visit which is a shame.

Appalling customer service from the “management” Long wait. Starter arrived cold. They did replace however it was half way through my main dish, so I had the choice of letting it go cold again or stop eating my main meal to allow it to go cold whilst I ate my starter…i was lucky to get a main, my partners dinner was completely forgotten about. He left hungry as we didn’t have time to wait any longer. I would not recommend and we definitely won’t be back.

Went here with Sister and friend for lunch which turned out badly for me. Both my Sister and friend said that their dishes were ok but sadly mine was not. I ordered cha han chicken + prawn "see below ingredients) stir fried brown rice cooked in a sweet + sticky sauce with chicken + prawn, mushrooms, red onion, red pepper, cucumber, sweetcorn + edamame beans. topped with coriander cress, crispy fried onions + japanese pickles Let's start: 1. The brown rice was dry and lacking any sort of sweet and sticky sauce. 2. Chicken and prawns were dry and overcooked but I was hungry so ate a few prawns. 3. Japanese pickles were so hard I spat it out once I tried a piece. 4. Crispy onions were like little rocks and couldn't eat them. 5. The other ingredients were just mixed along with the dry rice with no flavour whatsoever. What a complete mess of a dish. Now I judge a great service and I expected the girl who served us to ask what was wrong as my bowl was completely full. Sadly the bowl was just picked up with not a word. My first time at Wagamama and I'm relieved it will be my last. (went to Greggs after I left because I was so hungry and had a sandwich which was very nice) S.

We were staying in the area overnight and settled on Wagamama for dinner. We were very lucky to get a table as they were very busy but after a short wait we were shown to a table for two. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and we didn't have long to wait for our food. We shared a Chilli Squid dish, while I had Chicken and Prawn Pad Thai and Mr Sc had Hot Chicken Katsu Curry. We were delighted with our food and found the service excellent. A very good experience.

The place was very busy so my order took a while, squid was way over cooked to the point that it’s inedible, prawns were yummy, duck gyozas were tasty, bang bang cauliflower was nice but again over cooked. I had next to no broth in my ramen and my partners ramen was the same, definitely not worth just over £60

I have visited this place couple of times and would love to recommend them. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and the food is great. Absolutely value for money.

Reasonably tasty however very expensive considering the lack of proteins in the dishes. Staff did work tirelessly after mentioning they were missing front of house and kitchen colleagues. No real incentive for a return visit

After a lengthy gap, my wife and I revisited this Wagamama and we were delighted that the quality and f food and service had been maintained. Tasty Japanese food at reasonable prices. We’ll be back!

Great food, speedy service and attentive but not instructive. Plenty of screens between longer tables so felt safe during Covid times. Also love that I feel good after a Wagas, not stuffed and sleepy like when I have British style food normally.

It was my first time at Wagamamas and it did not dissapoint :) Your staff member Mitch was fantastic. He was friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable with the menu and answered all mine and my friends questions. I can not handle much spice so he recommended the chicken ramen which was lovely. Probably won't go back. Before we sat down for lunch we were told they had no prawns or salmon. We then tried to order some stir fried veg to start but they were out of that too. I ordered chilli ramen with chicken, it was flavourless. All I could taste was chilli, no lemongrass, garlic, just plain water with some spice and nothing else. We visited the restaurant on the 14th Nov and it’s the best Wagamama’s we’ve had. Food was so tasty, arrived so quickly and piping hot! The beef buns were unreal and all the staff were dead on! A nice treat given we haven’t been out to eat in so long due to lockdown.

Popped in here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Had to queue outside for maybe 10 minutes but felt everything was really well organised and safe. Only slight issue was my partner and I who live apart (but fall into the extended household rule as we both live alone) were almost not allowed in as apparently public health had said they couldn’t have 2 separate households dining together. Hopefully this has been ironed out as the law allows 2 households to dine together anyway. Anyway, the food was great as always, we had the duck donburi and an udon noodle stir fry. We also got some sides - chicken gyoza and the prawns and both were great.Always a great experience when looking for a quick bite to eat.

So decided to visit here while shopping with a friend and food was good if little mistake here and there. However Sara and daaria made the visit tremendous. Been ages since I've been and more fool me. Friendly welcome , sincere service , fast clean and the food omg super tasty. My wife is fussy with food by to my amazement Waga's is her now go to place. Would reccomend the team at Livingston I really enjoyed my visit. See you all again soon

Wagamamas restaurant visit ,really enjoyable experience for something different ,tasty noodles and dumplings ,good service ,choice of side dishes good .Price perhaps a little dearer than sister chain Frankie and Benny’s but offers a different dining experience ,atmosphere relaxed nice to have side dishes to share and staff seem passionate about food

Newish to West Lothian..just moved from London. Wanted to work on my laptop in evening and have some dumplings. Tried Wagamama and will be going back soon. Super friendly staff..was being served by someone called Darya..allowed me to work and really helpful and chatty. 5 stars.

My wife and I went for dinner there this afternoon, Wagamama is one of our favourite places to eat.Really disappointed in the poor level of service.Firstly, I ordered the bang bang cauliflower and my wife ordered a chicken starter. Hers duly came after 5 mins my starter hadn’t. I asked where my dish was see the look of confusion, waiter asked at the counter see the realisation sink in. Anyway main course appears I ask where the cauliflower is, to be told with a bit of attitude (English wasn’t her first language) that they bring the dishes over when their ready.Now I was in the process of finishing my main course when lo’ and behold my bang bang cauliflower arrived with the excuse the chef had dropped the original! No the chef had missed the cauliflower first time around. Please don’t lie.So,putting this screw up aside we decided we would have the banana fritters with ice cream at the same time ordering green tea. Now with the debacle with the starter I was expecting the following, green tea arrived first we were finishing it off when the desert arrived this was 15 mins after we had received our tea.Stick with it it gets worse my wife’s fritter was hot and mine was stone cold! I wasn’t by this time surprised.Then we had to hang around for the bill. Needless to say no tip. If the place had been really busy I would have cut them some slack but to be honest I didn’t think it was even half full (32).It’s a minus 5 from me.

Came here for a quick bite to eat early afternoon on Friday and my server Daria was excellent. She could not be more helpful and was very knowledgeable with the items on the menu.

Had a lovely dinner tonight with my nana and cousin. Sarah served us all night, gave us good advice on dishes to pick and kept us entertained. Just had the most fantastic school trip to Wagamama - from beginning to end we had fantastic service from their friendly and enthusiastic staff who were brilliant with children. It is not always easy to organise a trip for around 30 pupils, however, the general manager made our experience very easy and welcoming. Pupils and staff felt respected and encouraged to participate in the whole experience as we explored the Asian tastes and learned about food preparation processes. It was great to interact with a variety of front of house staff and chefs from behind the scenes. Very professionally done.The activities were paced well, appropriately delivered, hands-on and fun. They even ran activities and games as we waited for the food to be cooked which the children loved. The food tasted delicious too. My colleagues commented on how well they felt looked after and I felt that the educational value for the pupils was superb. The whole staff team were very generous with giving their time to us and were very approachable. One of the best school trips I have attended. On a personal note, having seen how good the staff were with the children and having tasted the delicious food, I will be returning here sometime soon with my family. Thanks Wagamama Livingston!

Ordered online, money taken out of account but then got message to say something had gone wrong and I would get refund in 3 to 5 days. Was not happy so phoned the restaurant to find out what happened. Spoke to Jennifer who explained tgis sometimes happens and couldn't be more apologetic. Retook the order and arranged to collect it. Jennifer is a credit to Wagamama and couldn't have been more helpful and the food was ready when she said it would be. As this was first experience with Wagamama I was scared in case food wasn't good. But I can say the initial bad experience online the food was good value for money.

First time visiting this location and was very impressed. Had the katsu curry and vegetable tempura which was recommended by our wonderful server Victoria. She even brought chopsticks for our son to takeaway home so he can practice his skills. Can’t wait to bring the family back here again!

Tasty chilli chicken ramen, free green tea! It was quite busy but the staff were really busy but still managed to be kind and attentive! The wait for food wasn’t too long either, especially considering it’s cooked fresh!

Asked for main sized bang bang brought a small and it was burnt no mice sweetness at the bottom and to be honest wasn’t that busy to warrant was in bang in twelve staff not too interested.

Asked 4 staff for the bill, we got forgotten about, food was cold and my glass of water came towards the end of the meal , worst of it... it wasn’t even busy!!!!

What a great experience, we came on a saturday night it was very busy we where served my a lovely young girl. She explained that we hadn’t been before but we shouldn’t of worried Lauren took the time to explain the menu and even recommending her favourites which we went for a steak dish and a chicken curry can’t remember that name but both great choices, we also had a dessert which we got free which was a lovely touch I thought, we couldn’t take our eyes off all the stuff all work really how and lovely but we have to say Lauren definitely went the extra mile thank you

Had a lovely dinner in here with my friend after a long day shopping. Staff, particularly Lauren, were fab & gave great recommendations. We ended up ordering three course! The ginger cheesecake was brilliant.

I was in last night for a meal and the service was amazing and my server julian was top notch from friendly to fast service and such a laugh as well made me enjoy my experience even more I will definitely be dining here again

Victoria, the lady who was serving us was just fantastic. My wife used to do complicated orders, she likes to change and add bits to the dish and some waitresses can get annoyed ( which I understand ). But not Victoria! She patiently waited and went through everything with my wife, just to make sure she got all right. Even more she spoke with the kitchen and managed to get a special dish for our son, which is not on the menu. Big Thank You Victoria! You really made us feel comfortable and we appriciate your effort. The manager lay is also very nice and in general they work as a team, helping each other, all to make the visitors happy. Best Place EVER!

We came here for a late lunch a couple of days ago and had a very disappointing experience. I have been to Wagamama's at various locations before and have never really liked the set up but decided to give it another go.

My Sister and I went for lunch and the seating inside was very uncomfortable. It was a nice day so we sat outside on proper chairs. The waitress came to take our order and I was informed that my food came with a side salad. I have a citrus allergy so asked for the salad without a dressing. I was then informed she couldn't take my order and a manager would have to do it. A manager came and I was subjected to an interrogation into my food allergies. I was so embarrassed, but he kept going over it again and again. all I wanted was the side salad with dressing. My main course was ok for me to eat as I had had it before. The meal then came and my side salad that I had been grilled over was just a pile of lettuce leaves. I ended up leaving it. I know they have to protect themselves relating to allergies but I know what I can and can't eat and I was left stressed and I didn't enjoy my lunch. Please be more discrete when asking questions, it's difficult enough finding food to eat without being cross examined.

So I left it a while since my last visit and I'm so disappointed

As always the most delicious dinner of Japanese cuisine. We share all our dishes...well maybe not the Pudding...white chocolate cheese cake...Yum!! Thanks to Julian our friendly and knowledgeable waiter with ever attentive service.

Popped in on a recent shopping trip for a light lunch. We shared a selection of starters with a beer.

Good selection - kids love it and best of all the chains in Livingston. Touch pricy, but good and we still return or use the take out service.

I’m a very fussy eater but I came here for lunch today with a friend and I’m so surprised how amazing the food is! I had chicken katsu curry, chilli squid for a side (squid is amazing, first time trying squid). What an amazing and unique restaurant, 10/10, I’ll be back soon

We've ate here now umpteen times, as for a chain, you know that you will get good food. An added bonus is the fun, friendly service, especially when one waitress gives me a hard time! LOL - All in good taste, great banter.

Very bad customer service, very disappointing - I always have enjoyed wagamamas however today I visited with my mum and was really looking forward to this - both ordered Katsu curry - my mums order came with in 5 mins of ordering and I said to the girl there’s 2 ... 10 minutes later my meal came!! My mum was almost finished my mum advised this to the waiter who came up with some terrible excuse that there is two kitchens or something and it comes out when it’s ready haha ok so anyone who works in the hospitality business knows this is very bad service - not even an apology when the meal came. The waiter only advised that he would tell the manager - again not acknowledgment. Very disappointed

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but i do like this one. It's great for all ages and groups of fairing sizes.

I love Wagamama so popped in for a late lunch. We were seated quickly - the place was quiet and we ordered food and drinks. We waited and waited but no drinks arrived. The food eventually came and my Wagamama Ramen was luke warm - we were under pressure for time so we just ate the meal.

I had excellent service and food here last night, all staff were fantastic.

My partner is a vegan and myself a vegetarian we find it difficult to find something suitable for both us, we were greeted by an awesome team member who was enthusiastic and very pleasant food was delicious thank you very much
