First time trying here came on a Thursday had the most amazing meal so fresh & tasty ! Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time staff were so friendly & welcoming . Best ribs & pancake rolls can’t wait to book again for sure Was recommended to us and couldn’t fault this restaurant

The food was absolutely fantastic. But the staff were really miserable and not at all friendly. I'm afraid that's why I gave it such a low score, none of the staff could even raise a smile and it just made us all feel really uncomfortable and it made the atmosphere of the restaurant not very nice either!

We don't visit as much as we should but we went last night with friends who had never been, the food was just as amazing as ever and the staff were fun and delightful.

We took some friends there who had never been before and have say the food was as amazing as ever with great service.

This is my second time being here, I came here with my friend and his parents for his birthday and we went for the buffet/creative menu and the food was delicious. After my friends father explaining to me what food they did and he was helping me choose, and even encouraged me to try new things as I'm absolutely selective of what I eat in a Chinese , so I tried new things and I was very impressed, however there was a long wait for the mains but I'm not complaining and none of us minded because we were pretty stuffed, we did feel like we were looked after! And what I didnt know they could do was they gave us some water to clean our hands in which was a first!! The food was spot on! We all enjoyed everything!!! 🍜

Shocking meal experience. Everything was very salty and chewy. The starters tasted and looked like they were from frozen and the sweet and sour was just batter. This isn't remotely Chinese food and shouldn't be called it. How people are falling for it is beyond me.

Lovely meal last night . We had the buffet meal £25 per head. The food is cooked to order, so comes fresh and piping hot to the table.

Amazing food and friendly staff. My wife is a celiac, and they had plenty of options for her. Some of the best Chinese food we've ever had. Will be returning.

Love this place. Visited recently after a long time since moving away from area. Couldn’t see any difference to anything since last visit 5+ years ago. Why change when it is so good. Best Chinese by far.

Arrived last night at the booked time of 7.30pm, nit served until 8.15, was told the kitchen was closing at 9, made to feel hurried and rushed.

We’ve been going to Voongs for years but recently the standard has slipped massively in food and service and yesterday especially. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we came in and through out our time there. We waited 25 minutes for small starters, another 30 minutes for duck with pancakes which was absolutely horrible. It was burnt, dry and had spiky bones in it, which luckily we noticed before taking a bite. We then waited another 45 to 50 minutes before our mains came out as this point we asked them to pack it as take-away. We should have checked the food before leaving as when we opened it today, it was massively over cooked, dry, and some of it was burnt. It’s what what you expect when you pay £150 for dinner.

Without a doubt the best food in Milton Keynes.. It's got to be something special to last nearly 40yrs.

Excellent Chinese food Best I have had in the UK

Starters were nice although a long wait. They have an unfair rule on number of dishes! Whether you are a table of 8, as we were, or table of 2 you can order 6 dishes which have to include your rice or noodles. The portion that comes is only for one person so actually not enough for everyone to have a dish! Yes you can order more but not until you’ve finished those. But we ended up with a tablespoon of each dish. Also one of our group was vegetarian and really no choice for them. Wouldn’t go again.

I am not a fan of Chinese but definitely liked Voongs food. Ordered crispy duck, chicken curry, prawns and egg fried rice and it was delicious.

The place opens quiye late but its ok. Iy started to get a bit crowded at somepoint during the night and noisy. Food takes around 10 mimutes to come by if you're buying six meals. I went on a sunday to get an all you can eat meal with my family. I would reccomened if you want to explore the food of other cultures.

After being referred to Voongs a few years ago, it is now a place we try to visit at least once a month. The food and service is outstanding never ever had call to complain about anything. It’s by far the best Chinese in Milton Keynes imo. If I could think of anything it would be that Alf is an Arsenal supporter lol, me being Spurs we always interact. 12/10 excellent place for friends and family to enjoy a brilliant meal…..

The Voongs special menu (all you can eat) is legendary! Absolutely delicious dishes every time. The staff are brilliant, so nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend it here.

This restaurant has been around for what must be over 30 years which says alot about it! The decor is a bit dated and hasn't really changed from when I first went there sometime in the 90's. The food is absolutely amazing some of the best I've had. If you go Sunday to Thursday they have a set menu banquet, basically a freshly cooked all you can eat where you order a few dishes and then order if you want.

Very welcoming family run business for many year's. Has great food with parking close by.

Lovely satay starter followed by crispy lamb & trimmings inc pancakes. Our mains of chilli king prawn's, sweet & sour pork and special fried rice were also v good. The only let down was a greasy chow mein dish. Subtle service, overall a v good meal and at £70 for 2 inc service reasonable value.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area

Our food followed, piping hot, delicious taste and plenty for us all to enjoy In the 25 years I've been coming here, I have never had a bad meal

Fantastic food we had a take out on Saturday and had several dishes and I could not fault one of them, especially the lemon chicken which I was amazed that I wasn’t expecting much but the flavour was terrific as was the prawn curry, we will definitely be making this my number one choice for Chinese in the future so glad I’ve discovered it even if I am a little bit late to the table

Me and my husband Craig have been coming here for over 20 years and the food is absolutely beautiful, we recommend this place to everyone, it's the best Chinese around with great and friendly service!

Really good food and great atmosphere

Visited for a meal with family, my partner has been before for the creative menu offer but this is the first time visiting on a ‘regular’ night. Although it appears it’s not changed in many years the restaurant is clean and tidy, hosts are welcoming and the service is good, if a little slow at times. Food wise we all decided to go with the personal set menu. Hors d’Oeuvres, duck pancakes and 5 dishes from the main menu. The starters were decent, hot and fresh but aside from the ribs everything was a bit dry. Spring rolls, prawn toast, chicken and the seaweed were all dry with no sauces to go with them. Ribs were banging though and the crispy duck was also enjoyable. The mains were a bit hit and miss if I’m honest. The crispy chilli beef was neither crispy or chilli and bit bland really. The chicken curry was alright but nothing spectacular, as was the sweet and sour chicken. We had a chicken schezwan which was decent, nice bit of spice and the kung pao chicken was very enjoyable. None of it was wow though. Now if I’d had this meal for the £22 on the creative menu night then I think I’d have said it was reasonable value, not the best Chinese meal I’ve ever had but not too bad. The problem was, this meal cost over £200, nearly £45 a head which was a bit much for the quality of the food. A couple of beers aside it was all soft drinks. It’s known locally as a decent Chinese restaurant but I suspect this is manly for the all you can eat nights offering decent value rather than it being a high quality place to eat. By all means, if you want a decent fill of Chinese food try the all you can it ‘creative menu’ nights but I don’t think it’s worth a visit outside of these nights.

Wow! We just got home from dinner at Voongs and my whole family agrees that it was the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. We ordered a whole range of things from their all you can eat menu but the absolute standout was the aromatic duck - it’s a go-to every time we eat Chinese and Voongs did it beautifully. The service was fast and friendly with a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back! Thank you Voongs.

Decor is attractive and clean, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food, however, is of the sort in which all the meat and vegetables are swimming in a gluey, rather bland sauce. The fried noodles were pretty good, and the squid in spicy salt was a standout. However the sichuan chicken, beef in black bean sauce, and scallops were only middling. For authentic Chinese food in Milton Keynes, Taipan is still my favorite.

1st visit after many years for a takeaway. We ordered ahead. The wait on collection was brief. Service was good. The food was delicious and plentiful. There was a 20% discount on takeaway orders which made it really good value for money. Will definitely go again

Surprisingly disappointed considering all of the positive reviews. I ordered crispy chilli beef, lemon chicken, Singapore noodles, crispy seaweed and egg fried rice. Basically everything was bland and under seasoned. Crispy chilli beef was the crispiest I've ever had in MK - but the overriding taste was bitter and almost burned - not spicy at all. Really pretty upset that there wasn't a single dish that packed any flavour at all. Mind boggling for the price.

The price for the buffet has gone up £5 recently. But don’t let this put you off. The food is amazing. Select what you want to eat and everything g gets brought to your table. Everything is full of flavour. The family are attentive to your needs.

Went there this evening. The last time I visited this lovely place was about 22 years ago. My sister was visiting this week (from Cumbria) and recalled the restaurant from all those years back. Glad she remembered. It is still as brilliant as before, the food is perfect (and I am one fussy girl), the service was also. Visit, seriously, you will not regret.

Love this place, had the set menu, yet was allowed to change a couple of bit on with no issue. Owner, staff and kitchen staff are very welcome. Never had a bad meal, they boxed up what was left, and we gave the the children. Which they lapped up with no problems. Just a shame on location. But will definitely be back.

I recently tried voongs for the first time and what a pleasure it was! The service is very good and the food was lovely honestly one of the best Chineses if not the best in Milton Keynes! Only critism is the chicken could of been cooked a bit longer as wasnt to my liking but will definarely visit again I be leave they offer a eat as much as you like Mon-thur which I will definarely coming back for

Unexpected surprise. I had never heard of this restaurant until it was recommended by a friend so we decided to try it on one of our date nights. First of all we were greeted with a warm welcome and the decor was tasteful and a reflection of a Chinese restaurant. Throughout the visit I experienced fantastic service, delicious food and friendly staff. They even let me take home my leftovers for the next day. I will definitely be visiting again.
