After learning on arrival that the restaurant we had booked for brunch only serves drinks on a Monday, we found ourselves in ViVi’s. The team were great and accommodated our needs….dog friendly and able to make adjustments on the menus to need coeliac / gluten free needs - I would note this could be improved by actually highlighting on the main menu rather than having to ask. Either way the food was delicious….i highly recommend the French Toast with bacon and fig! All others were equally pleased with their food and the pup certainly enjoyed her very own pup cup.

Went with my boyfriend for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Ordered 2 hot drinks and 2 full breakfasts. The hot drinks came shortly after but we waited over an hour and still no sign of the breakfasts. We then politely asked how long they’d be as we had something else on afterwards and the staff had to check and came back to say there was an issue with the till processing the order. We were sat right next to the kitchen door and many other customers who came in after us and ordered the same were served within 10/15 minutes. It’s difficult to understand why this was not picked up by the staff before having to ask. By the time we had raised the issue we didn’t have time to wait on them restarting our order so asked for the bill for the hot drinks. At this stage I would have expected at least a good will gesture for the hassle but no they still charged us fully for the drinks and we left. Very poor customer service.

Lovely place to catch brunch . Went in with my mother in law and two children. Some days the cook isn’t the same (quantity/quality) but today was amazing. Thank you for the quick service too..

We have attempted to visit 2 times after a 50 minute drive - both different times in the day. Sadly they do not allow reservations. Both time we have arrived the wait has been over 2 hours. I gave my number for them to call me for my table and both times they haven’t called. I sent a social media message asking if they intend on offering reservations due to the above and they read it and didn’t reply lol. Poor customer service and most likely won’t go back due to lack of reservations and poor management

Great coffee shop that allows dogs to sit beside the owners. Excellent range of food and brilliant coffee. Even puppaccinos for the dog. Place was busy with a number of other doings but everybody was well behave and a very enjoyable experience.

This is a beautiful restaurant right at the centre of Bearsden Cross. We thoroughly enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch here last month. The menu is varied and we could easily have enjoyed all of it (always a good sign). I opted for the smoked salmon bagel and my husband had the home made burger. Both delicious. Lovely staff - we will be back!

This is a great cafe for brunch. Can recommend highly. The owner is often in and makes it a point to speak to guests and get a feed back.

I have been visiting the Kirkie Puffer for years now. I just happened to come on here a read some bad reviews and feel compelled to give credit where it’s due. In all the times I have visited I have never received/ witnessed any poor customer service. The team always appears to be very hard working and helpful. Food is always served promptly and is great. You can’t beat the steak and a nice glass of red wine. I am very appreciative that we have this place in our local area and I’m grateful for all the lovely staff that turn up to work everyday and make it possible. Thank you 😊

I have enjoyed many lovely lunches with friends and family. I also feel comfortable popping in on my own for a freshly baked scone and coffee as the staff are so nice and welcoming.

Fortunately closed, service is poor, food quality is just a joke. If you’re stopping at the Premier Inn go somewhere else for your food, you will thank me later.

I recently visited The Broadcroft, and sadly, it was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. We phoned ahead to make a reservation, but upon arrival, we were seated at a table right next to the bar. While people at the bar obviously have every right to drink and enjoy themselves, it was frustrating that the table was placed in such an unsuitable location. People were shouting over our table to talk to each other, there was constant foot traffic past us, and others were queuing right next to our table to get drinks. It made for an incredibly uncomfortable dining experience. When we politely asked to move to another table, the response from the staff was unwelcoming, and the server seemed visibly annoyed—even though there were clearly spare booths available. We were only handed the Christmas menu, not the main menu. When we asked a staff member if the main menu was available, she said yes but simply walked away, and we never received one. We also noticed the manager seating guests while only giving them the Christmas menu, whereas other staff were providing both the full menu and the Christmas menu. There was no mention of dietary requirements at our table, and while other tables were provided with water without even asking, we weren’t offered any at all. The service was painfully slow, with over an hour’s wait for our mains. When the food finally arrived, it lacked flavor and did nothing to justify the long wait or the cost. Overall, the atmosphere was far from welcoming, and the experience felt neither relaxing nor worth the money. I left feeling disappointed and won’t be returning.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on Wednesday at the Torrance Inn.Although we had not booked we were shown to a lovely table by the fire. The service, food and general ambience were all excellent hence the 5 star review. The manager and her assistant were both very attentive ensuring that everything was to our liking, they really take care of their customers.
