An excellent experience all round. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had a lovely evening at The Stables in Kirkintilloch. There were 10 in our party & we were celebrating my daughter getting a new job. From start to finish it was a very enjoyable meal. Our waitress, Eleanor, was attentive, polite, courteous and really good at banter. She was very knowledgeable about the food being served & helped my husband choose his dairy free meal. Equally, she was very good with my 2 year old granddaughter when getting her food organised. The food served by chef Robert was excellent. It included, lamb shanks, fish & chips, lasagne, and burgers with fries.

The food was fantastic. The waiter (Eleanor) was so incredibky friendly and went out of her way to make our evening as enjoyable as possible. My dad has a dairy allergy, and they were more than accommodating. We love coming here and will definitely come again.

I actually recommended The Stables to friends while we were there! We've been there once before, around 18 months ago and had thought it was lovely. We don't live locally but after last night we will definitely be going back more frequently and are more than happy to travel. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and welcome were warm and friendly and this didn't change at all in the three hours we were there for. Service was wonderful and the food was gorgeous, and our dog was delighted with his freshly cooked sausage and peas. The only way you could improve would be to move yourselves a little closer to my house!

We were in the area and needed somewhere to walk the dog and eat. Absolutely perfect on all counts. Food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient and they really go above and beyond to make be dog friendly! Treats, water and blankets, staff giving the dogs cuddles and even food for dogs(chicken or sausages) served along side our food. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more!

Brilliant service, Eleanor and Robert were particularly great. Looking forward to coming back!

Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Kayleigh, the service was absolutely fantastic, we were catered for very well thanks to Kayleigh and the team, the food was great and we were overall delighted with our visit, big thanks to Kayleigh for making it a memorable experience.

Met with a warm friendly staff to a cozy and warm restaurant which was needed on a cold damp January. Our waitress Kayleigh was pleasant and helpful. The food was delightful.The scallops and the fishcakes were cooked perfectly

Lovely meal in cosy place. Staff attentive and helpful, Food presented well and delicious. Mistake with bill at the end but easy to make errors when busy and manager rectified with ease. Appreciated the lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Was looking for somewhere different for a meal & what a find when we found The Stables in Kirkintilloch. Our food was amazing & the staff were very attentive & nice

Not very impressed, the environment was nice a cosy, staff were very friendly and helpful. The down side was; after sitting down it took 1 hour 20 minutes for the main meal to arrive at the table, it was the Christmas menu the roast potatoes, you just could not eat as they were solid hard, the turkey was dry as was the parsnips. There was 5 of us and I thought for what we got the bill of near £200 was on the high side. I am local to the area, but I do not think I will return.

Kelsey our waitress was so lovely and helpful checking on us regularly and the food was delicious suchba warm and cozy restaurant would 100% advise anyone to come to this restaurant

I had a wonderful lunch at The Stables looked after by Gary who was an amazing host. He gave me a cosy table by a roaring fire and was perfectly attentive without being overbearing, giving me plenty of time to enjoy my food and read without feeling rushed. I loved the hot drink and mini dessert combo and everything I ate was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Gary was great the food and drinks lovely

First time there, we missed the turn off , due to poor lighting , but inside was lovely warm and inviting. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food excellent and value for money. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Will defo be visiting again.

My youngest has allergies and this is the only place I feel comfortable taking him to eat out. Our server was Eleanor and she couldn't have been more helpful, she ensured the kitchen knew what meals were my sons to ensure they were safe. All of the food was amazing can't fault anything.

Visited on Saturday. Gary was great, food was lovely and the atmosphere is superb.

The last few times I've been in the service haswent downhillr, I don't know if it's been short staffed. I keep giving it a chance but there's always something.,

Ive ordered multiple times and never had an issue. This time, spent £35 for one carvery and pudding. Got not a single potato, Yorky hard and inedible. The meat is hard, inedible. Extremely tiny portion. Ive never had a takeaway make me cry til today

Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful setting by the canal. We were served by our brilliant waitress Eleanor. Her caring and friendly manner is a true asset to the Company. Cannot praise her highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble. We definitely will come back due to the wonderful service. Second to none. Thank you so much Eleanor. You are a complete star.

Staff very kind and attentive. Called us Boss a bit. Strange but the place was clean tidy. Kind fast staff. Food was huge serving, way too much .. so best go hungry. Service although busy was fast and hot. Yummy food! Good choice on the menu. Dog friendly there was a selection of dog dishes and treats upon entry, just for dogs now ! 😀 Would recommend.

Sat down at vacant table, as usual - many tables apparently vacant - bar snack menu on table - told all tables reserved, but that management did not like to put notices on the tables. I'm sorry, what?? I am diabetic, I had been depending on getting something to eat, had never been required to reserve previously.

Good spot for stopping at when walking or cycling down the canal. Not sure about the prices because my friend paid but expect them to be average for Glasgow. Nice beer garden for a warm day.

First time we have visited. Great value 2 course lunch for just £15.95 😃 my soup and steak were excellent as was my friend’s gammon steak and crème brûlée 2 course. Friendly and efficient service. Well worth a visit.

Served today by gary. He was welcoming and the food was superb. Good honest home style food. I would highly recommend the lasagne. Wife got the signature burger and only managed half as it was a massive burger.

It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 day so I walked along the canal bank and had a meal n drink at The Stables.

Friendly and cosy pub with a large varied menu of a good standard. Staff always friendly, efficient and accommodating. We find it's better on a weekday as Sundays and public holidays are always very busy.

Decent pub food and drink in a pleasant, clean and friendly place. Sunday lunch was well presented and decent for the price point if not piping hot. A few more staff needed though. Team were overwhelmed. This was what I mentioned on a review a long time back. The service wheels have fallen off the bus. I like this place but if it's a service s-hole again I won't be back.

Ignored when we entered, then staff shouting across full restaurant to check if our table was ready was not a good start. Loads of empty tables so not even sure what that was about. Staff continued to have loud personal conversations with each other and the couple next to us, I didn't appreciate two staff members standing at my shoulder blethering loudly while I ate. Food was nothing special, the only element of all courses freshly cooked was the steak, everything else was clearly prepared earlier then reheated. Mushrooms came with warm stale bread, pate with half a cold untoasted baguette. Very strange decision there. Very small portion of chips, more paper in the dish than chips and sticky toffee should have come with a lot more custard and in a bowl or even with a choice of ice cream.. Glad we took the lunch deal and not the a la carte as if that was the standard of cooking it would have been a rip off. Bill came to just over £47, handed over a £50 dine out card and was asked to then pay the amount left on my card, I had to explain he had it the wrong way round. Nice place, good setting by canal but left disappointed and won't return.

Food was great, staff lovely, visited on a Saturday and was busy, food still got delivered as quick as possible and was cooked to perfection, I really like the hunters chicken would definitely recommend it!

Visited on Saturday without a booking got a table and was served by Scott for the night, very happy and bubbly guy got a good couple of recommendations and must say the food was absolutely delicious I believe the chef was Ed. Steak was cooked amazing and the sticky crispy chicken was delicious, will definitely be back, hopefully soon!

1st visit here and took my dog with me to have lunch with a friend. We chose 2 course lunch menu which had a good choice. Food was served by very friendly staff and were very patient with us, as my friend had allergies and we both had food preferences, all of which were catered for and served with a smile. Even my dog was catered for with a blanket to lie on, water and biscuits so we were all very happy.

All our food was disappointing. I've eaten here before on a number of occasions and it is becoming more disappointing each time.

1st of all the staff are amazing everytime we come here the food is excellent the portion size is huge. Gary an kayleigh are very nice never seen staff so friendly an professional we will b back yet again but highly recommend this place it has never let us down thank again Gary and kayleigh see u soon

Lovely staff, cosy interior, good selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and a la carte or set menu. They are very child and dog-friendly.

I stopped here for a light lunch as the location is lovely, food is good and service is usually friendly, however, on the this occasion the service was not so friendly. Sadly this visit was tainted by an abrupt rude member of staff which left me feeling totally disrespected! That said, the food is good and might return sometime …

My 3 daughters, grandaughter and 2 cocker spaniels went 4 lunch for 1230pm saturday 17 August. The service was 2nd to none and were really impressed by the warm and friendly staff. Food was amazing - all starters came out together as did our mains including food for both dogs which they wolfed down. We were made aware they did food 4vtge dogs by one of the staff. Great idea. We will be back soon. Thank you 4 the amazing afternoon we all had.

Had a lovely first time experience at The Stables - lovely atmosphere and equally as good food! Came here for Sunday dinner with my sister and was served by Kelsey - she was very attentive and served us with a smile! Would highly recommend - can’t wait to come back and try their desserts as we were both too full! ☺️

Absolutely lovely staff and food. Good value too. I especially like the offer of a hot drink and a mini pud. Also. Very dog friendly, with a table with treats and water for our furry friends.

Always fantastic food, with a great atmosphere

Gary our server was friendly and attentive. Gary served our food promptly and our chefs were Robert and Matt, their food was lovely and tasty, served hot and obviously freshly prepared. Our bill for four was about £110 which we found to be great value for money. Will be back for sure.

Not been here in a while but will be definitely be coming back the welcome from the staff was lovely the service was great the quality of the food and quantity was amazing Gary and susie who wanted on us were amazing made us feel so welcome

Stopped here while cycling today. Pint of beer was fine but food was really bad. They made me wait for long because it seems a part of dish was not ready and by the time I got the order served, food was cold. It wasn't the case of place being busy as most of the tables were empty. Just poor service overall. Staff were fine, no complaints but folks in Kitchen needs to do a better job. I won't be visiting again.

We booked a table for 8:45pm, we turned up at 8:53pm and were told that the booking was cancelled as we were late. The excuse that was given was that “the chefs have been working all day and are tired and we have closed the kitchen”.. I’m sorry but I think that’s their job to cook for paying customers from opening time till (near) closing time. The restaurant/pub doesn’t close until 10:30pm. Hope this reaches higher management as this was very poor customer service.

It was such an enjoyable experience for all of my family; particularly my mum as it was her 75th birthday. They made it so special.
