Went for meal with friends. Great service and meal was excellent. Will certainly go back for return visit.

The food and service was great. I had my dog with me and they were fantastic with her. That alone would make me visit again. Great food and very pet friendly. 5 stars keep up the good work.

what can i say been back time and again to smiths for food and for drinks never disappoints staff are very friendy and attentive the food is exceptional and very reasonably priced definately rate this place.

After leaving tips for the staff who served me all afternoon I have just been told by a member of staff that management keep all the tips. From now on tips get paid straight to staff in cash

12 of us all varying ages, tastes and dietary requirements had big family catch up dinner. Menu was extensive and food was delicious and well plated..... lots of ooooo’s around the table when food came out ( steak and ale pie looked the business...... but needed just a tad more gravy to be the business)Table faves were:Cullen skink soupChorizo and haddock cerviche Pan seared salmonSteak n ale pie . But more gravy please Food was gorge, service was great. ( staff were onit, but not fussing round you). Intuitive staff is what we love , you want your next drink but not someone asking if your table is ok every 2 mins. These guys were intuitive. Puds were yum Creme brûlée: Cheesecake : Ice cream: Too many flavours too consider! Had to ask son if he wanted a straw to finish..... just to stop him rimming the glass.Thanks smith Hotel. We will be back

We chose to eat here for our Sunday roast with the kids! Food was excellent and the kids portions where homemade and fresh! The manager on the floor ( Jessica ) was very kind and helpful with wine options and gave us a great choice! My kids enjoyed her presence as she laughed and engaged with them which most servers don’t do!

Après deux jours de visites à Glasgow, nous souhaitions rester tranquille le dernier soir, nous avons donc dîner au restaurant de l'hôtel et avons été très agréablement surpris. Bien qu'arrivés à la fin du service, le chef est resté en cuisine pour nous cuisiner quelque chose, et tout était très bon. Big up à notre serveur/receptioniste/barman Mimmo

popped in for a family Lunch, the food was fantastic, steak pie and burgers were great. staff very friendly and the decor in the restaurant was very nice. great place for a lunch or dinner. we will be back for more

Stayed in the attached hotel. The food was so good we ate there 3 meals of the day! Was an excellent reliable spot which we used as a base to experience the sight seeing of Glasgow. Would definitely recommend an evening meal with a nice selection of wines with dinner.

The restaurant is situated within Smiths Hotel where we were staying and the fare on offer was of such high quality and value, we eat there 2 out of the 3 nights we were residing.Great range of local produce on the menu & the staff were extremely attentive. Good selection on the wine list with local beers also available.

had been here many times before. Decided to visit as it had been decorated and is in a good location. menu looked good. we asked a staff member to explain what the ragu was like. she recommended it and it sounded lovely. My experience of ragu includes tomatoes. This was basically stew with pasta which was slimey and not appetising. The beef was slow cooked and tender but the dish did not work. There was not a tomato in site. Since I did not eat this I opted for the cheese board which was also inedible, solid and poorly presented. The waitress removed the dishes without comment and I left hungry and disappointed. My other half had fish and chips which he said was okay.

Food bland, staff clearly do not want to be there. Awful. Don't waste your hard earned cash. I won't be back.

attending a function, from outside looked promising it ended there, unmanned reception had to find someone. When i did find someone was just pointed upstairs, this is when i started thinking eww yuck from min i left reception area to venue halls the carpet was filthy with ingrained patches of dirty, rust from old chairs, food stains, and some black hard stuck on substance every few feet or so. Your guests need to walk through this to your wedding or party!! not good impression! Get into the venue hall, dance floor all scratched from what looked like furniture being dragged over it. where guest were to sit and eat there was they horrid carpet stains again. Broken glass in door panels. house maintenance ob not there strong point. Food was ok quite basic
