Food was meh. Team were nice, other than one who was a little abrasive and rude.

Very very disappointing. Service was slower than slow. Staff didn't know what they were serving, which given most people were there for an included cream tea was not difficult. Table next to us complained about the cream in the cream tea being off and were told it was fine. We opened our cream and it smelled like stilton cheese (but apparently it was fine). Avoid. Spa is wonderful - have reviewed separately. Nice view from the windows.

I have visited three times, and each visit has been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the café is spotless with lovely décor. The service is always fantastic, with very polite and friendly servers.

Good food at a very reasonable price considering you're a captive audience in Aqua Sana Spa! Afternoon tea special from 3-6pm is especially good - any special cake/desert and a coffee/tea or similar for just £7.25. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

It might be my fault that I was envisioning Vitale Café being more of a tranquil, calming experience. It was maybe the loudest lunch I’ve ever had, with wood floors and hard low ceilings, and tables spaced close together. It actually reminded me of a university lunch hall just after class is out - basically the opposite of what you want headed into a calming spa. My wife and I had afternoon tea, it was certainly sub par with only a few very poor sandwiches and overly sweet cakes. But at £22.50 I guess it’s more about low cost vs high quality. You must flag down a server, but once the take your order the food comes quickly. Bottom line is the cafe is likely “fine” during off peak times or when it’s nice enough to sit on the terrace. Come between 12-3pm and expect a frenzied experience that will put you on edge.

I love a good spa experience at aqua sana, but I always dreaded the lunch at cafe vitale. Not any more! And I cannot say that any more enthusiastically. They have had a refurb and the food is wonderful! We actually stopped in multiple times for nibbles through our spa break. The staff are absolutely lovely. If you need gluten free, the chefs go out of their way to make sure you have lovely food and a lovely experience. We actually got an afternoon tea on our second day. Again something we never would have done before. We are so glad we did. The chef prepared two plates of sandwiches, one gf and one regular. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. I cannot sing the praises of the food and staff at cafe vitale enough. You will enjoy this!

Really slow and inefficient. It took them more than 40 minutes to serves breaskfast, the same for lunch, they forgot our drinks and more than 1 hour in the restaurant and we missed time in the Spa thanks to them.

The vegetarian platter was nice but very small and certainly not enough food for two. Lasagna/panini looked like better options. Lemon cheesecake was good, chocolate fudge cake was dry and not fresh.

Lovely food! They have an array of choice from flatbreads to fresh pasta dishes. They also have a lovely selection of desserts to choose from. This is a great cafe to have in the spa and the food feels healthy too!

First time using this place and sad to say we won’t be returning. Elderly lady serving was rude, wrapped fish and chips as soon as she took order despite needing to wait for other items to be cooked which we was told would be 10 minutes. So fish and chips sat waiting on counter. Gentleman who was cooking told her not to wrap up yet and she snapped back at him rudely and carried on regardless. She seemed very disorganised. Food wasnt as good as expected. Chips cold and dry. Young girl working was lovely and I’m sure she could manage the orders by herself without the confusion caused by the rude elderly lady.

Staff where just rude. Got the feeling I was an inconvenience ordering food. Think they rather talk and show each other stuff on thier phones . Food some how was warm out the oven. Not hot. And was just slop on bread I would avoid and find some where else

We were at the zoo during a rainy day, and the experience from this restaurant put more a dampener on a great day than the weather. We were seated very quickly and told to scan the QR code to order food and drink, which was alittle confusing and full of additional costs, and some options and info seemed missing. Before the order was completed servers already approaching our table with drinks for others, causing them to huff away, and overly exciting our children. With the order completed online and paid for we waited 5 mins for drinks and then another 10/15 for the food. When the food came it was disappointing, cold grilled chicken on one portion of nachos, which was returned to a very confused server. The other meals arrived including my own. I had ordered the pork meatballs with gnocchi and paid for added garlic bread. I was given the 2 meatball starter and no garlic bread. I asked the server if this was correct and he said yes. Shortly after another server asked if everything was alright so again I questioned it. After having to prove I had ordered the bigger meal, I got a rather Luke warm version of the dish and still no garlic bread. By now lunch service was in full swing so just thought I had more chance of dodging the rain drops outside than getting a hot meal with garlic bread I had ordered. No fault of the servers but we were then rushed out of table by a rude group who had clearly understated how many were actually in the group. Further more having spending as much as we had for none of us really satisfied with the lunch it was disappointing to see other families allowed to sit in the restaurant with their own pack lunches. Hoping to return to the zoo soon but will bring our own food. Still a great place, just not this restaurant
