Vista Morecambe in Lancaster

Food was not the best. To much cheese on the pizza. Not much choice on menus burgers, hot dogs or pizza. £2 for bbq sauce. Wouldn't call this Italian. Services and atmosphere was ok.

Very disappointing..we went for fizz Friday at lunchtime..our order was taken but shortly after the young lady who took our order came back to say we could not have as it did not start until 5pm..something she was not aware when taking our order. I pointed out this was not mentioned on the menu and when she looked also confirmed but still said not possible. If this is the case please update your menu and make staff aware. We felt very let down as had been a birthday gift for my mums . No apology was ever made

Visited July 2024 and was disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered arribita and not sure how long the pasta had been cooked for but it was sloppy and falling apart other half ordered a burger that was served cold, he didn't want to send it back as it would just be reheated. Would not recommend this as a place to eat.

A really disappointing meal here tonight. I ordered the chicken breast with peppercorn saucewith roasted veg and fries. What came was a pasta type bowl of fat chips with the chicken veg and sauce on tip of the chips. The bowl was swimming with oil, to the point where the chips were dripping and soggy. I could not eat more than the chicken breast and a few bits of veg as it was all so saturated with oil. If it had been on a plate at least it would not all have been mixed up in the oil and may have been more edible. When the waitress came to remove the plates she did not ask how the meal had been, hence this review. Very disappointing meal from somewhere that has been good in the past.

Came here while on holiday and spent our daughters 8th birthday here. Food was served quickly but didn't affect the quality. Amazing Italian food for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. They turned the music off and played happy birthday for our daughters cake coming out. Bowling alley is really nice. Much better than some bigger places. The place is clean and the staff were lovely. Thank you for making our daughters birthday special

Really nice design of the interior. Tasty food in decent prices. Wide menu with very intriguing option (e.g. burger pizza). Vista is definately not an Italian restaurant, but is certainly worth a try when in Morecambe. There is also a wide range of alcoholic drink and beverages available. Easy access to the bowling area. 5/5!

I first visited this restaurant about 3-4 years ago after reading that it served up some of the best pizzas in the UK. I was certainly not disappointed and the food was so delicious that one could put up with the constant, and very intrusive, din from the bowling ally at the back of the restaurant. The high standard of the food was maintained until about a year ago when we noticed a marked deterioration in the appearance and flavour of the pizzas. On making enquiries, we were told that the two very talented Bulgarian lady chefs had left and there are now different cooks in the kitchen. On our visit yesterday the service was excellent and the staff very friendly, but the food was awful. The pizza crust was as hard as nails and the flavour very mediocre. My partner's Halloumi tasted more of cardboard than cheese. The magic has gone from this restaurant with the departure of those two Eastern European lady chefs. It is now just another very average Italian restaurant with the added disadvantage of such a noisy environment. PLEASE revive your previous excellent and well-deserved reputation by re-instating those very accomplished ladies in your kitchen. Otherwise it isn't now worth our 90 mile round trip from the Lake District only to experience such a very average meal.

Possibly the worst meal out in my life. Took an hour, food was almost inedible. Coffee so bad I just left it. Avoid at all costs!

Had a few drinks while we waited for our game of bowling which was enjoyable then we had booked a table for 2 and ordered 2 lovely meals pizza was excellent service was great and it was a pleasure we had amazing time here highly recommended for family and just couples in love x

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of seafood and vegetarian options, AND steaks burgers chicken etc. Part of a 1st floor bowling alley with families playing pool etc. Great views over rhe bay from the diner style window tables. Food was great. Service with a smile. Fab !!!

Not a great experience today. Booked a table for 6 for 6pm on a Wednesday in August. When booking, we should have been notified that the menu would be limited (down to about 1/3 of the meals, no starters and hardly any desserts) and the kitchen was full of trainee staff. It was 1h30 before the adults got their main meals, by which time our children had eaten both starters and mains and were bored. One child's meal came out 25mins after the other one. We didn't hear a 'sorry for the wait'. We had to ask where our adult pizzas were and only then did they get put into the oven. When it did come, we were rushing for the kids sake. One pizza was overly spicy, sending an adult into tears, and all the pineapple on the pizzas tasted awful (sort of vinegary).

Visited yesterday but was very disappointed. The tomato soup was more like a bowl of blended bolognese sauce, the spaghetti bolognese was absolutely vile, sloppy and bland ive honestly had nicer from a ready meal. The garlic bread is dry and chewy and tsstes like frozen. The bruchetta was dry and not a hint of oil drizzle in sight. The pizza was good to be fair but 1 out of 4 isnt really great. When a restaurant has the word italian in you expect properly cooked italian food. Lack of service also and rather unwelcoming and miserable staff except the young waiter. Should of saved my £70!!

The place is far from a Italian restaurant spaghetti bolognese was like a microwave meal the tomato soup was just bolognese sauce garlic bread was a frozen one bruschetta was dry the pizza was alright but the price thay charge you would off thurt it would be fresh quality food the place is all fir coat no nickers

Popped in here for lunch on spec. Very reasonably priced, good quality pasta dishes served by an efficient and polite team. I highly recommend the garlic inferno bread. It certainly clears the pipes.

Not all that really. Service wasn't great. Our main course turned up before our starters and then we were told the waiter had not put them through. We had a wait for our meals following and do believe that they were just reheated. We asked for cutlery and the waiter gave us spoons as they had run out of clean knives and forks. The manager then sourced clean cutlery from other tables,so not a great experience and we definitely won't be going back

Given a large window booth despite there being just 2 of us, food was good, service was friendly and thorough, very pleasing all round 👍

I'm strict when it comes to reviewing food services. I often find that people focus too much on service or something gone wrong but my experience was abysmal. I took my girlfriend here on here birthday for dinner and I chose this place on a recommendation. To start with the service was awful, a table behind us wasn't cleaned for 20 mins after arrival, the overhead lighting is full of dust which is disgusting when it's over your head and food. The prices weren't awful but they are for what the service is worth, we had 2 burgers and we ordered drinks but I'm assuming based on all the lazing around I witnessed that it was purely based on that they couldn't be bothered doing 2 trips. The burgers were meh, her Old Smokey was pretty dry and my chicken burger was mostly batter but the Garlic Bread I got us to share was frozen (you can tell by all the air pockets and how chewy it is). After we finished eating I was waiting for a service check or at least the bill so I could have opportunity to bring up the garlic bread situation, neither of them ever came but I did see one waitress stood by the window stroking her hair and 3 people stood around the bar chatting. So I went to go pay and get home, as I was paying their card machine crashed, the person I'm assuming was in charge kept spamming cancel, it took 5 minutes and the transaction went out, I showed the guy and he told me 'its pending which means its not gone out' but it had because pending means I no longer have the money as its being sent, they kept trying to charge me AGAIN and after trying to explain that I have no guarantees I'll see that money back and that I'm not paying again, they got really irate, you NEVER treat customers like that, as a caterer I know how these situations are supposed to be handled but they were aggressive, hostile and downright rude so I stormed out. Never again.

Just horrible place to eat. Service is... oh sorry there is no Service at all... food is definitely overpriced, not worth at all, tasteless

Milkshakes are just a glass of milk with caramel sauce around the inside of the glass. Got given the wrong food. Pizza dough raw. Pasta had whole cloves of garlic in. Got starters, then drinks, then cutlery, which we had to ask for. Lots of staff milling about doing nothing, drinking from behind the bar in front of the customers. Mains served 5 minutes apart. Ruined a good date.

Good choice of food and drink. Attentive and pleasant staff. Good views across the bay.

Ate there yesterday. Garlic bread was nice but the pasta laden in oil. Pizzas from here are generally good, but if you want a decent bowl of pasta then go to a genuine Italian restaurant. Dont think id eat here again.

Pleasantly surprising place to go. Restaurant was connected to the bowling alley, so was a bit noisy. That aside the food was really good, and prices were very reasonable. Staff were very polite and extremely curtious.

Absolutely diabolical. Frozen garlic bread and pizza more like San Marco pizza from frozen isle would definitely not recommend this place to eat, how dare it be called an Italian it’s an insult. No table service to check how rubbish the food was, or if any one from the party would like a drink. It’s no wonder the restaurant is empty. Never again.

It seems like a nice place for a bowling or drinking but the food was terrible and the noise unbearable.

Great night in for bowling, nice ambience and music, very fun games and helpful staff, I can not say how the food is as I never had it.

Excellent place for walking & cycling the promenade or a stroll on the beach or park. Good selection of shops & ice creamz, fish & chips on the prom.🌞🌞

Nice to have different choices to the usual local takeaways. Restaurant quality food, generous portions and good value.

A groups of 6 of us inc 4 children popped in whilst on our holiday and all had really delicious food. The ambience and staff were great. We enjoyed it that much we went the following day for an early dinner. Definatley recommend and will go again when we are next in the area

The new chef has done an amazing job with the food. If you haven't already been, I recommend giving it a go. Great night out for the family.

Lovely place overlooking the Bay. Modern deco and very spacious. Delicious pizza and lovely Tandoori chicken kebabs. Drinks expensive.

Lovely food and very helpful as my son has some food allergies. They did double check our order before cooking it and found it did contain something he could not have but was helpful with going off menu to help.

Great family place to eat. Glad me and me wife found this place after a quick change of plans. Quality and little extras were great, Calimari was good. Only slight gripe would be a lack of a drinks menu, as these were quite pricey.

An amazing place to eat, food was delicious, service was 5*, then onto bowling. All round an amazing night, highly recommended.

Had the Big Lebowski burger... amazing. Potato skins also really good. Good atmosphere and lovely staff.
