Good friendly service and everything in place for Covid (test and trace and hand santiser). Tables spread well apart. Three of us had toasted tea cakes and they were a good size and lovely spiced flavour. Love the quirkiness off the cafe. We all enjoyed our afternoon tea and will definitely be coming back.

What a quaint tea room. Popped along on off chance to treat my mum with tea and cake. Menu said high tea with scone cream and jam from 2-5pm... We got there just before 12. I asked if they do a similar deal and the lady said they could do this one for us. So pleased. Proper tea with strainer (which fascinated my 16 year old haha). Mum was over the moon. Menu prices very reasonable and would definitely return.

Been three times in short order: first for breakfast, then for lunch and then for coffee and cake.Unfortunately I haven’t got pictures of the breakfast, or cakes, but do have a couple for the lunch.Vintage English and Vintage Vegetarian breakfasts were excellent and we were impressed with the speed of service. Coffee is good and tea is leaf tea and you get the strainer and the cups are china: all very good.Went for lunch and I opted for fish fingers in a bun, with chips and my daughter had the Heritage Rarebit with Roasted Vegetables. The fish fingers numbered five, yes five! And it all came in an enamel tray with a good portion of chips.Coffee and cake was also good. Choice of four lovely cakes and generous portions of: chocolate, carrot, Victoria and one other that escapes me!The decor is retro, with old wood tables and chairs and the dresser and shelves are filled with vintage memorabilia. Good location on the seafront and there is seating outside as well.Definitely going back!

We went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised as I'll be honest the outside doesn't do the place any justice. The inside is full of vintage pieces which bought back lots of memories for lots of us, it is really quirky. The menu was very extensive and flexible if you wanted to change your eggs etc to what was stated. Staff were friendly. A very decent hot yummy brekki and would definitely return and recommend. The only thing I would say it would be nice if there was some vintage bunting around the room to finish it off.

We had a high tea here thanks to some vouchers given as a pressie. The table was cleaned down before they allowed us to sit and the other tables were well spaced apart. There was sanitiser should you want some and the toilet was clean and tidy. There was a gluten free option which was great for my son and they offered a gluten free scone too. Our food came within a reasonable time and everything was served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble so extra milk was no problem. The food itself was tasty and fresh (v important with scones!)All in all a lovely lunch, would recommend.

Just had a quick coffee here yesterday lunchtime - and was most disappointed with the levels of hygiene. The table still had the previous customer’s cups and saucers. When the waitress arrived - she wore no mask or gloves - and I thought was just a little too close for comfort. She removed the used crockery, took our coffee order and that was the last we saw until our coffee arrived. I had hoped she would arrive with a clean cloth and spray to clean the table which is happening in every single establishment I have been to. So, I myself cleaned the table with 2 anti bacteria wipes - and they were filthy when I finished which meant the table was dirty to start with. I am sorry to say that your observance of the regulations in the outside area of your Tea Room Left a lot to be desired and did not fill me with any confidence at all as a consumer. You have to improve this.

Thought we'd surprise my nan and do something special for her birthday. We booked a table online and had confirmation that evening. When we entered the tearoom, we went to the counter and said to the waitress we had a table booking (she had dark hair and was wearing a scarf) to which she replied 'what for here' with a abrupt tone and then said to just go and sit anywhere. Luckily there were two tables close by that we could pull together. If we came in 15 minutes later there would have been nowhere to sit - it got busy very quickly. The majority of us chose the afternoon tea - it was lovely. Came with a choice of hot drink, a scone which was nice and warm and a choice of sandwich. It was presented well and very nice. There was a bit of a wait but that was understandable with the time. The vegan sandwich options were very limited and over priced for what it is. However the cake - no idea what it's called but it had blueberries was really nice.My sister is a picky eater (I could've written this is the booking email but they wouldn't of taken note anyway) so she was asking to swap a few items. The waitress who took our order was getting very frustrated and you could clearly tell. It is also not nice to see when safe are clearly talking about you, talking facing the other way then turning to look at your table. Unfortunately my nan's meal was over done and she did mention this to the waitress when clearing up and she didn't apologise. All in all the decor and food were nice, but the service let it down. Also upsetting that our booking wasn't acknowledged. We would've gone to the pier café as we have never had problems and there is a greater choice of food however it was closed.

Not bad, but not good either. I should say I did not try the food, so perhaps, it would have earned a higher rating had I done so. I arrived shortly after opening, so I was the first one in and had a solid half hour as the only customer. In spite of this, the two baristas/servers chatted to each other for a solid 2 minutes while I stared directly at them with my menu open...several glances in my direction made it very obvious they knew they were keeping me waiting. Loud rock music in the background was not conducive to a quiet morning read. Even with my headphones in and softer tunes turned up, I could also not tune out the baristas loud conversation. Granted, once the place started to fill up, they did calm down. That being said...the decor and seating was vintage and fun and the tea was pretty good, though once again, merely average.

Part of the Dome Cinema on the front at Worthing, this cafe evokes a vintage atmosphere worthy of its 1911 history with movie and jazz hits but it is the coffee you will return for! We love this place and are usually waited on by one of two friendly lovely ladies. Sadly today we went there and asked the man serving if a spare chair could be provided for a table with only one placed at it, and were told if you can find one move it yourself, which we begrudgingly did. We then waited 15 mins with no one coming to take our order so left. Up until today we would have rated 5*.

This is right next to the Dome Cinema and close to the sea front. It’s decorated in vintage style as the name suggests and is in keeping with the age and history of the Dome building. Occasionally we pop in here for a coffe and snack. In the past we have had a lovely bacon sarnie but on this occasion tea for two, real leaf tea served in a proper teapot. I had crumpets with butter and jam (note to self to ask if they have Marmite next time) but the jam version was still good. My husband had a traditional cream tea. Price for both of us came in under a tenner which in my book is excellent value for money in comparison with other well known coffee places. Staff are always friendly. Next time it might be sunny enough to sit outside, who knows?

We had a pot of tea for two (real leaf tea), crumpets with butter and jam and a cream tea all for under £10. Elsewhere this would have been far higher. The decor, tables and chairs are all representative of early 1900s which is in harmony with original building date of the Dome Cinema which it is connected to. We will return.

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to pop in for a snack lunch on Saturday. It is a very quaint, rather old fashioned tea room from the past. Bags of atmosphere. We were impressed to start with because the tea was hot (really hot) which is a change these days. The food that followed was excellent. I had the Tuna Melt Baguette. We went for our usual full breakfast - all elements were cooked beautifully and very flavoursome. The sausages here are amazing. The breakfast is excellent value at £7.95 and comes with toast. The coffee here is fabulous too. A special mention for our waitress on duty today who was very chatty and helpful and to the chef that served our breakfasts too - we believe that she’s a new edition and her food is amazing. The tearoom offers a great range of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas with a superb range of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks. The cakes look fabulous too - they get eyed up every time we visit for breakfast so we’re looking forward to dropping in for tea sometime too. Keep up the good work!

I can't give a bad review because when I visited for breakfast I was served one of the nicest sausage sandwiches I have ever eaten in a cafe. My request to have it served with an English mustard and marmalade combination did not even raise an eyebrow. The service from out waitress was confusingly bad though. When she first came to the table my husband had gone to the loo so, I ordered 2 lattes and asked if she would mind coming back for the food order when he returned. He was back within seconds but even though the cafe was not very busy it was impossible to get her attention. While we were trying another table sat down, ordered and were halfway through the meal before we gave up and told the manager what we wanted as he passed by. When it came to ask for the bill, I managed to catch our waitresses eye and request it. For ten minutes while we waited, she fiddled around doing other tasks, had a dance, chatted to her mate and went to the loo, despite me trying to wave every time she glanced in our general direction. Luckily were weren't in a rush, it was kind of entertaining. Eventually we gave up and asked another girl behind the counter for the bill and she bought it to us immediately. So, be prepared to fight for some service if you want to eat in here.

A lovely experience and we will most definitely be having tea here at another time (not too long) We both highly recommend this lovely traditional cafe. Don't miss this when you are in Worthing. Good coffee, tempting cakes, great breakfast and lunches - interesting vegetarian options as well. Quaint mixed crockery gives a lovely old fashioned tea room feel to the place. All served by warm friendly staff.

We went there on a week day and it was a shambles from start to finish, with rude staff, who couldn't care less.

We sat outside in the sunshine this weekend and it was wonderful. We were shown a table straight away and ordered a pot of tea and a milk shake. The crockery and teapots are in keeping with the vintage tea rooms... so quaint. Real tea with a tea strainer too. My milk shake was lovely, tasty and refreshing. The staff are helpful and freindly and it was quite busy. The decor is interesting and so too the array of furniture.

Fantastic tearooms that have a varied menu and great homemade cakes. Whether its an all day breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea or just a drink this place is great. The lattes come in the old dimpled half pint mug so you feel like you have had a coffee. You can sit in or outside, can book a table and it has an alcohol license.

Stopped here for a welcome cup of tea and was overjoyed by the fact that I was presented with a pot of tea made with loose tea!! Of course this was accompanied by a tea strainer - for those of us who remember not enjoying the experience of having tea leaves in ones mouth! Quite a delightful assortment of pretty china crockery is the norm here along with memorabilia from previous decades dotted around the little cafe. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. All together a very happy experience.

When i asked how long roughly my breakfast would take to took the girls working said rudly "well how long do you think it takes to make a breakfast" then went off giggling together. The food however was great but the customer service let it down.

Superb gardens, nice little playground for the kids and if the train is running on a Sunday it really adds to the pull.
