Ridiculous quality for the price you pay for the mixed grill . Literally there's a whole butchers shop on your plate., cooked perfectly , fast service at the bar and always very well mannered and polite staff . Will 100% be returning , how a good old brittish pub should be run ......take a bow

We visited this pub on a recommendation,our table was booked for 630 but there was no booking apparently and then a party of 5 arrived there was no booking for them either!seems to be a issue with whoever is taking these booking’s! The service was quick at the bar the menu set up is a little strange not really clear to what’s actually on your plate! We waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers although we did enjoy our meals seemed a long wait for 2 simple meals! We will not return unfortunately atmosphere was loud kids running in and out it wasn’t for us.

Food was amazing especially the steak haven't eaten one that good for a long time will definitely be back again compliments to the chef 🙌🏻

The Village Inn is a fantastic family friendly local pub. We've met some amazing friends and have had some really good nights in here. The weekly entertainment is great, as is the atmosphere. Steve and Colleen have done a fantastic job, always offering a really warm welcome, as well as the whole team. They offer a huge selection of drinks and bar snacks, along with themed food nights. It's aways a great day and night in The Village Inn 🩷

Booked the function room for a 40th Birthday Party. Good communication from the owners. Quick responses. Reasonable hire price. Would book again for other functions.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, they had a January offer so x2 large dinners for £17 food was lovely, 3 meats home made Yorkshire pudding, mash, veg and roasted potatoes of course we had a pudding afterwards chocolate fudge cake. Booked for next Sunday as it was so nice.

Events are all amazing - especially breakfast with Santa was by far the best i have been to the kids loved it. Totally above and beyond! Steve and Colleen made it magical. Smashing pub one of the best locals in Wednesbury. Colleen & Steve have smashed it in their 10 months of them being there. Their warm welcome to locals and afar make this one of the best family friendly local pubs to be in. Offering midweek Grill night ( very popular) Bingo and quiz night (Plenty of laughs from Barry the bingo caller ) and Luke the quiz master make it extra special. Staff are welcoming and polite. Pub offers weekly weekend music entertainment for all tastes . Sunday roasts are about to start ( can't wait ) . We as a family inclusive of my grandkids have enjoyed the seasonal events / activities including Easter/ Halloween/ Xmas and all the Inbetween events room decor has been top notch on all these events making it pleasurable to sit in by all. Ample parking over 2 carparks too for those wishing to book the large lounge for parties 🎉. Dart board and pool table in lounge available too. Excellent choice of drinks just missing the strawberry in the pink gins 🤪

Second time visiting this month on their Wednesday steak night 4 of us had the mega mixed grill Food was amazing,great staff Drinks bought to table fast service Food piping hot and all fresh. Guinness was spot on Booked in for nxt week Don't change anything

Absolutely perfect for our celebration! Lovely staff, really friendly and nothing too much. The room is a great size and really well kept, clean, tidy and all furniture in great condition. It’s nice to have a separate space away for functions with its own entrance from The main bar too so you don’t have to intrude on locals etc. Would highly recommend the Village for any function or just a local drink in wednesbury as it’s all been refurbished and the great staff make it very welcoming. Food was provided by ourselves so not applicable

Held my baby shower in the main room on 1st June. Steve and Colleen were very polite and welcoming and said we could use the room from 12 to set up. The room is spacious and has enough room for quite a few people. They have acts on in the main bar of a weekend and I always watch their lives as I don't get out much nowadays being 30 weeks pregnant. It looks a really good, fun night with atmosphere and ill be visiting once baby has arrived. There is also plenty of spaces for parking and we were allowed to being our own buffet. Thanks once again.

Family is Key!!! This pub has recently been taken over by new management and what an impact they have made. Living in Wednesbury it has been hard post covid to find a pub where you feel comfortable to take a young family. Well look no more, The village is really coming up trumps and delivering on that weekend entertainment for all the family to enjoy. The management team and staff are welcoming, accommodating and more importantly driven and engaged. You can really see that that want to do well.

I love this venue so much more than I have ever thought expected to see. That's the first time I come and celebrate my friend's wedding. Today's one of the special day ahead.

Today was our first visit, as a family of four with two young children, to The Village Inn and it certainly won’t be our last. The owners had organised a wonderful Easter event for families that consisted of party games, a disco, a special appearance from the Easter Bunny and more chocolate than our children could carry: it was brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and look forward to the many exciting events that they have planned. Steve and Colleen couldn’t do enough for us and we would highly recommend this pub as a family friendly place to visit for the brilliant service, drinks and events that they offer.

What an amazing place. My husband and I went to watch a Neil Diamond tribute on Saturday 23rd March. The atmosphere was fantastic, the tribute act was really really good, the alcohol selection was very impressive and the staff were lovely. Very clean venue. We will definitely be returning. DISGUSTING, DIRTY and NOT WORTH £580!!!!! We had a family party here on 27th Jan and decided to have their buffet and also provide the DJ! Well..... On the day of the party, was when we realised we had made a big mistake! The pub has a awful smell and I know it is stale, dirty pipes, beer and the use of lots of bleach, trying to mask the smell... ( family ran pubs when I was a kid..) The function room is in a state, dirty, ripped seats, tables are broken and unsafe, I leaned on one and the top wasn't even attached and this was one of the buffet tables! The walls haven't been painted for more than 6+ years! and they are so dirty, stuck with pins, tape and bluetac from years of parties. Dirty, dusty floors and the bar was sticky and dirty! As it was a Surprise party for a 70th birthday, I arrived early so it could all be sorted. They were arriving at 7.15pm and at 6.50pm the DJ or Buffet still hadn't arrived!!! Eventually I enquired, they said the buffet was in the fridge and the DJ was on his way! I asked about table cloths (was told it would all be provided) but the people who do the buffet (I found out it was the people who run it) didn't leave any and they would have to call to get some brought in. By this point... I was panicking... they bought the cloths and the buffet was bought out! There was 2 big buffet tables and food was brought out in little plastic trays covering 1 table. I thought the other table was for desserts etc... I paid £250 for a buffet for 50 people!! ( there was only 35 adults and 10 kids) so it should have been more than enough.... once the party started I took lids off the buffet and realised there wasn't much food! Within 40 mins most of the food was eaten and I asked if they were bringing out the rest? there was NOTHING ELSE! My family was complaining the food was horrible, stale sandwiches and not alot to choose from.... it was DISGUSTING! People were still hungry! My husband ended up going to Morrisons and spending £60 on desserts and cakes for everyone! It was embarrassing! It would have been cheaper buying the food and doing it ourselves! My family were saying how bad it was and I had to stop some of the men "complaining" on the night! ( a deposit was refundable for the room 2 weeks after the party) I was scared we would lose our deposit! The DJ wasn't much good, he was stopping songs halfway through and restarting them. Luckily we aren't a dancing kind of family! I actually was so upset by it all, I left at 9pm!!! I cried all the way home! It has been 3+ weeks and I have had to go to the pub again, email and call to get my deposit back, which I got yesyerday! The people who run this pub, I was told did the buffet and have now taken over the "Gough Arms )" in Hateley Heath. I will not be going there again, either.... this was a nice pub! If I thought complaining to the management would make a difference, I would... but I would recommend you find a better place for any party's. This pub needs closing!

Great place very clean and polite staff

We stopped off at the Village Inn on route to the Wrexham V Walsall game. They welcomed 40 of us with open arms and it was a good atmosphere. Bar food and drinks were reasonably priced, very friendly bar staff and locals. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thanks to everyone at the Village for the Hospitality!! Much appreciated!!

Went to the kid's Christmas disco. Santa, present, Christmas music, buffet food. All in for a fiver. Not bad at all. The Santa was probably the best we've seen so far. He was spot on with the kids. Wasn't rushed. Made real conversation with them. Ours were 4, 8 & 11. The older ones discussed as we left, if he might have actually been the real Santa... we think he was! Great Santa. Would go next year. Dean the gaffer was very friendly too and a good host!

Great function room, we opted for the village to provide the dj and buffet and we were not disappointed, the quality and presentation of food was amazing and the dj played whatever you asked for and interacted with the crowd which I thought was great. The bar staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely use this place again and their buffet service which you can have for other venues and events.

The Village Inn hosted my grandmother’s wake following her funeral at St Bartholomew’s in Wednesbury. Dean was very responsive and organised a great spread of food, accommodating for a few complex dietary requirements too. We would definitely book again.

Just had a curry and a pint- Boston Chicken balti! - perfect chips and nann bread. Chicken was perfect - just enough spice ! Highly recommended for a curry and pint!

It was an amazing night went for friends birthday party. The drinks were charged at average price however the room we were in was way too small for 100 people.

Hired the function room for our wedding reception and also they did our buffet...atmosphere was amazing and very friendly ... buffet was awsome just what we wanted and the boss was very helpful towards our big day allowing us to access the room early to decorate and set up dj and leave our wedding cake there until the day ..overall we couldn't of asked for anything better ...thankyou to the bar staff for putting up with us

We celebrated my mums 50th surprise party at the Village, and everyone was welcomed politely. The bar staff was helpful. And, questions we asked she answered. And helped us and I forgot one thing. We enjoyed the DJ that was also provided. He was great, involved us all and played what was asked.

Me & My other half use the Village Inn regular, the gaffers are pleasant, staff are friendly, made to feel welcome & always have entertainment whether it be DJ Saturday night, Jukebox or a singer. Family friendly!! Ham cobs or cheese and onion cobs always freshly made and available if feeling peckish Ive had x2 family parties at the Village Inn one being a Welcome To The World Party for my son & one being my moms 70th Surprise Birthday party. £50 room deposit but of course you get that back as long as you stick to the terms and conditions & behave!! Decent size function room, the buffet; freshly made on premises, cater to needs if required, various options and upgrades for buffet if required. At both parties I have received compliments on buffet. DJ supply your own or Deano will arrange you one; full communication when booking, during and after event. Would I recommend to friends & family YES to which I have done; I will also be booking future events at Village Inn

We had our sons christening gathering at the village Inn, Dean provided the catering and we were very pleased. There was plenty of food to go round with spare. He catered for the dietary needs, which was great. We were able to have the dukebox on and we were able to chat amongst ourselves and had a pleasant afternoon. We were able to decorate the room with banners and get access before the event. Thank you Dean
