Village Pizza in Kingston upon Thames

right. this is the first time in my life i’ve left a bad review for a restaurant, and i’ve had experiences where my meal has accidentally come without the sauce, or where they’ve given me regular potato tempura instead of sweet… so it takes a lot for me to be phased basically. first time ordering from here, found a thick dark hair in my mouth when i bit into my pizza. made me feel sick, honestly disgusting. called a couple of days later** to ask for a refund and they refused, saying it was not their responsibility. i had to literally ask them to apologise to me. they were more than keen to lay the blame on Deliveroo, even though it’s pretty obvious that the issue would come from food preparation/ hygiene. **might be worth adding that i have OCD and this experience was very distressing for me, especially in a pandemic. i couldn’t bring myself to confront the situation that night or even the next day, just didn’t want to think about it. honestly feel violated knowing that a stranger’s hair has been in my mouth, along with their scalp oils and skin cells. who am i to know whether they have good hygiene, or how often they shower? given that their hair has ended up in my food i think it’s fair to guess that their standards aren’t good. so yeah don’t order from here unless you like spending £20 to eat stranger’s hair and being gaslit about it afterwards

Have used the Surbiton outlet for many years now, but am just sick of the difficulties we experience with ordering from there now. They post leaflets through the door, but won’t Honor any offers on there. Website offers, they don’t want to know. £20.99 for two large pizzas turns into £35. Thankfully there are many other pizza options in Surbiton. Village pizza won’t get my custom any more.

We ordered 3 pizzas, 3 were badly overcooked, the pizza was hard, the cheese a few seconds away from being incinerated. Most of the toppings were beyond recognition. We called the store and were advised that they were this colour due to the oil that comes out of the pepperoni!! They were dismissive, we tried to send photos to them but had no joy, the phone we were told to send photos to could not receive images, we called back and asked if they had whatsapp to send the photos, still no joy. The small sauce pots were all blown and had burst inside the box. We have ordered from this business for many years and we will not be using them again. We were happy for them to replace the pizzas but they would not entetain the idea. 3 inedible pizzas! We have emailed their main address with the photos. Eventyually gave up trying to sort it out.

Used to be the best pizza in Surbiton, now it's dreadful. Awful twice in a row, so never again. Terribly overcooked and dried out. Such a shame, it used to be so good.

Pizzas were burnt, order was wrong. When I complained, the guy on the phone was rude and lied. Go to this place at your peril .. a shocker!!!

This is the best vegan pizza I've had, the 'cheese' was really tasty and not sickly like other I've had. Nice thin base and the other topings were good quality. Potato wedges also very tasty. Delivered piping hot.

The 10” pizzas are tiny!! Don’t order these thinking they will be normal sized, they’re really not! We paid £25 thinking it will be enough for 5 people and it wasn’t good value for money. But we rate the driver, Abel!

We've had pizzas from here lots of times and they have always been nice. What lets this place down is the online ordering and delivery. When they give an expected delivery time this is usually way off reality, either much earlier or later. Last Saturday we ordered online at 6:45pm and their confirmation email said delivery around 7:35pm. Nothing arrived so we phoned them and let the phone ring for 6 minutes with no answer. Anyway when 8:35pm arrived and no pizzas we went and bought two from Tesco’s. The following day at 4:30pm the pizzas arrived!! The delivery guy was surprised when we pointed out that he was 21 hours late and we didn’t want the pizzas anymore!

the pizza Dough is one of the best I ever had. the ingredients are simply fresh and top quality. they are very flexible about the pizza crust and they always made mine thin and crispy exactly how I love it. I also had the delivery service and they are the best on it too always in time and always having my pizza warm like I am eating it there!!! I really suggest this place to everyone who loves the Taste of a real pizza and we definitely be back soon.keep up the good work!!!

Decent, but peculiar taste to the dough; maybe a little over prices in light of quality of both pizza and sides. I’d probably opt for Dolmino next time

Ordered the two large pizzas for £21 online on their rubbish website. To collect. Went in store to find that a large pizza is just £9. Feel pretty ripped off. Great first impression guys!

Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately was really let down first try. First of all- we ordered through the online service which didn't work so the shop didn't get our order, waited 2 hours for our pizza. Not their fault, but ok. When the pizza did come I couldn't eat any of it, not because I didn't like it but because it was just really bad food. I've had thin and crispy pizza before- burnt. I've had vegan cheese before- this had had it's life boiled out of it. Charging 3 times the amount it would cost to get a better vegan take away pizza from the super market, I was obviously let down. Got on the phone with the manager and he said I couldn't have a refund for food I couldn't eat. I know vegan food is different, but it at least has to be good if you advertise that you sell vegan pizza and charge for that amount. Manager was a really nice guy and did offer us a 50% off voucher of next order, but honestly it's not worth it. Would like this place to treat it's staff better, and urge them to find jobs more worthy of them, but until then don't order from here.

I've lived in the area since 2001. Village Pizza has always been my 'go to' choice. I love the thin and crispy pizzas, there are a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options and the service is quick.. My personal favourite is the Cheese Deluxe.The one thing I would say - I've always collected my pizzas from the shop as I'm 'old school' and can't be doing with this deliveroo nonsense. I've never had any issues with the pizza being cold or soggy, it also means you get a better deal.The Pizza's are miles better than any of the chains, putting Pizza Hut in particular to shame.

Lukewarm pizza and soggy chips. Pizza had the potential to be good had it not been for the temperature but even so I will not be ordering again for fear of the same experience.

Slightly disappointing this time (which is really unusual). I ordered well in advance and the pizza was a bit overcooked. I guess they just made it a bit early to make sure it was ready in time but it baked a bit too long. Certainly won't stop me ordering again. Everyone is entitled to the odd mistake.

The web site gives you an option to add some sauce for free,but actually I never get it! Last time it was the bbq sauce,this time the chilli. Not a biggie but don't offer it if you don't wanna give it to me.

I keep leaving good reviews but they never seem to appear! I've had pizzas from Village Pizza regularly for the last 2.5 years and they are without doubt the best takeaway pizzas I've ever had. Consistently good whichever choice I make (even the garlic bread/coleslaw/BBQ wings are great!) and the toppings are always fresh tasting and plentiful. You can always see what's meant to be on there, unlike some other places I could mention, when you just get a hot modge of something. The delivery staff are always polite and friendly and service is always punctual. I can't rank Village highly enough. :-)

I have speacal needs and he shouted at me for asking a question saying they close at 1:30 alreasdy when just east says 2:15.im in tears as im scared.close them down

Pretty good pizza, enjoyed the flavour, base was nice. Came early. Delivery driver wouldn't come into my entry to my door which was mildly annoying but otherwise happy enough with the order.

Received the Pizza late and I did not accept it as it was cold, person from the resturant on the phone offer to replace it but I did not take his offer as it's 10:15 pm already and I was waiting for the Pizza for over an hour and twenty mint, although it's only 2.1 mile away ...he was professional to solve the issue but ...I left without dinner (Late 25 mint after the 50 mint time was given for delivery) I gave 2 star for food quality although I did not eat but the reason why because it was cold

I ordered a vegan cheese pizza and boy did it taste bad. The cheese tasted powdery and the base was soggy. I have made better pizzas at home using violife. Don't make the same mistake I did, what a waste of money.

I had the Mexican spice vegan pizza it was sooooo good! Pricey? Maybe. But to have fresh vegan pizza delivered to your door is worth it. Love this place!

Really yummy pizza, the thin crust is just right. The Giardinera is really delightful - although the asparagus was quite soggy.

Staying at premier inn in tolworth after a long day at chessington decided to order pizza. Checked out Surrey vegans Facebook group who recommended village pizza. We weren’t disappointed my son had a vegetarian pizza with the vegan chicken and we had a village vegan (garlic sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, peppers and red onion) it was blooming lovely. Took about 45 minutes but that was ok they said 45-60 minutes.

I've order a couple of times from them, the first few times was ok but the last ones were horrible. The pizza was ok but the chicken wings came completely black inside and tasted rotten, usually I don't like to complain but 3 times I spoke with them and they obviously didn't care to lose a costumer.

Always hot, always early, always delicious. Our go-to takeout.

Ordered a vegan pizza with southern fried chicken style pieces and the nuggets as a starter, absolutely delicious! Admittedly it was a bit expensive but for me to find a vegan delivery place locally is just amazing, thank you Village pizza!!! X

Had pizza here for takeaway many times and so far they have never disappointed me. For relatively cheap pizza, the quality is topnotch - at par or even better, I dare say than Papa Johns or Pizza Hut! Perfect, hot pizza every single time.

The delivery man had a bit of an attitude when I asked a question about the order. Our onion rings where soft and doughy so I called to ask for a new order and was told I couldn’t get one as they were ”busy right now” but they did said they would make a note and next time we order we’ll get a free portion.

a little stingy with toppings on non-veg pizzas. Pepperoni looked very pink. the pizza base was nice as was the cheese. delivery driver went to the wrong house and then rang me to complain I wasn’t coming to the door. He then went to the wrong house again but the right road. eventually brought us our food.

Perfect place if you don't want to cook after work, the pizza are nice and tasty... always a cheap offer! definitely a late stop after hard day of work!

One of the few places still open when I was in need of food. I prefer a thin base pizza but it was decent for what it was. I gave them a quick call to ask that they deliver as quick as they could and they did deliver about 15 mins quicker than advertised, which was a bonus.

Ordered two pizzas which were supposed to have pineapple, both pizzas arrived without pineapple. Rung them and the guy on the phone said he forgot because he was busy. Which is a ridiculous excuse. He didn't really seem to care or be bothered that we weren't happy.

is just so so sad i needed to walk 10 minutos to pick up my delivery pizza !! and even worst , i collected in front of dominos restaurant .... so if i wanted to walk to get a pizza i could go to dominos myself and do collection and would pay cheaper as they do deals on collection , but i chosen to order from this place as i know its good quality but ended up in need to leave the comfort of my home to pick it up 10 minutes away as the driver refused to follow my instructions to my home . so , to finalize... apart of me (30 weeks pregnant) walking 10 minutes do get my unsuccessful delivery pizza , i ended up even more disappointed because my pizza was stupidly cold aswell! not happy at all !! and hopping for this problem to get sorted soon so i can order again and be satisfied

He hecho varias visitas y las pizzas que hacen siempre han sido de buena calidad. No mucha carne y incluso opciones veganas (sé que muchos veganos que siempre nombre de Aldea Pizza vegetariana - amable cuando para llevar). Los precios son comparables a otras cadenas de pizza en Surbiton, pero parece ser un sistema permanente de oferta especial para colecciones, así que si puedes, recoger.

delivered super quick !! the Brie bites were amazing ! but you can't go wrong with a bit of Brie ! yummy. the pizzas were really good however they were extremely greasy. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars

El pueblo tiene el más largo menú Pizza pizza que he visto, con algunas combinaciones muy interesantes. Ofrecen base delgadas, con corteza gruesa y de tamaño medio. Ofrecen una variedad de salsas para elegir como base de una salsa, y luego sus coberturas son tan buenos como los que he tenido. Yo realmente no me puedo quejar de pueblo. Pizza
