Ordered the pizza deal…x 2 pizzas, large fries and a bottle of drink. Only the pizzas arrived. When I called the restaurant they said it’s too expensive to do this deal now but they were happy to take my order and take my money…false advertising! I appreciate costs are rising but either withdraw the deal, increase your costs or communicate to your customer that you can’t honour it! Don’t just take the money and then only deliver half the order because it suits you. Rude and aggressive staff doesn’t help either

Ordered a masala fish and naan a donner meat and naan. Firstly, they both came completely dry with no variation of sauces or salad on either one. Secondly, the naans were dry and stale as if they were two days old. And finally, the donner meat looked like ass meat.

It's such a joy when you discover an exceptional eatery such as this. Serendipity had my friend and myself drop in late on a Saturday night. The kebab meat -- great chunks of chicken rather than the usual strips, cooked to order with a mix of peppers and green jalapenos -- was wrapped in a freshly baked naan. Really tasty fare.

Really not happy with false advertising. Sample menu states meat veg pots, however once ordered on the Thursday night offer. Only bottomless drinks whilst eating once you finished you main course it finishes or you must buy pudding. First place I've been to that the main meal is only steak ( at an extra £3 which was not advertised in advance) and then pay £4 for small bowl of veg and £3 for chips. So the £22 two course meal is only ok if you do not want anything else with your meat. A meal for a £22 offer with 2 people having a pudding came to £114.40 Staff not helpful about the extra costs and trading standards have been informed. Service was slow two starters came out and not the their then when it did the main meals arrived so the third person left half their soup or their main meal would be cold. Sadly the food was very nice. Too many people cramped into a small room and too noisy to talk over the other groups of people I would NOT RETURN

I'm afraid our experience was not good. The hotel in which the restaurant is situated smelled very dirty. The dining chairs were old church type wooden chairs, which were cute but they were very uncomfortable. The waitresses were pleasant but the service was slow. One of our meals was rib eye steak but we are sure it was not rib eye but a cheaper cut by the amount of gristle in it. The sea bass was ok but lacked flavour. The only enjoyable part of the meal was dessert. It was supposed to be a romantic atmosphere but the acoustics was too echoey. We will not be returning. We would not recommend this restaurant. It was not worth the £80+ we spent.

The restaurant was quiet, which for a Saturday night was unexpected. The ceilings are high, so the acoustics of the room carry sound. This meant that between us and the 6 other dinners we could all clearly hear each others conversations. Fortunately this was broken by some inappropriate music (Shaggy; I think) which the waitress desperately flapped about to try and turn off. If it had been busier this wouldn't have been such an issue, but it was very quiet. So noticeable. The waiter who served us looked like he had just been drafted in at the last minute. He had no idea at all, nice guy; but clueless. He made a mistake with the order, bringing out completely the wrong starter. His colleague (girl who changed the music) was wearing a very short skirt, which frankly wasn't even close to appropriate. The food was actually good. Credit to the kitchen staff. But the front of house needs some polish. Plenty of local competition, couldn't help wondering as we walked back through Clifton Village if we should have tried elsewhere..

The hotel restaurant is a small room at the back of the hotel with about five tables in it. We were the only ones dining which should of rung the alarm bells. We ordered steak and chips which came with a free bottle of wine. We had two largers while waiting for our meal which came about half an hour later. The plate and meal was cold and the peppercorn sauce which we ordered did not taste of any peppercorn just gravy salt. When I ask the waiter was the chef off that night he replied Yes. We paid the £54 bill and left. Usually I would complain but I had given up by then and just wanted to leave.,

We started with a glass of excellent Prosecco in the bar before moving into the restaurant. The starters, ham hock with salad and fish cakes with poached egg were both delicious - well designed and well executed. For the mains I had a shin of beef risotto which was really well cooked with a great beefy flvour in the meat and the liquor. My wife had leg of lamb with asparagus and peas. This was a nicely designed dish, spoiled only by the lamb lacking flavour. Both rooms were pleasant but, as we were dining early, pre-theatre, we were the only diners, so the service was attentive, but no ambience.

I chose steak and chips for my main and being £19 was expecting great things! When it arrived it looked good but the first mouthful was a completely different story...it was as though the steak and Spring greens had been soaked in salt water and then more salt added while cooking. I could only eat a few mouthfuls and considering usually like salty food this is saying something!! My boyfriend had the risotto and again it was incredibly salty, I have had a better food at a Weatherspoons. I was so disappointed as this was a special occasion, and a long awaited celebration!

My son gave me a voucher through Amazon for the above At No. 4, Clifton, Bristol. I followed the instructions and booked a table through yourselves for over a month later. However, on the morning of the booked table, a lady rang and said the booking had only just appeared on their system, blaming your company for accepting a booking when they were full. She apologised, and made a booking for last Saturday. We arrived, explaining what had happened and then were shown to a table. The tea was very nice and although the sandwiches were dry on one side, the cakes were lovely. My problem with them is this. We were going to combine our tea with a visit to the theatre on the first date. Thank goodness we couldn't get seats! This is a round trip of 60 miles for us and I would have been livid having to make 2 trips because of their mistake. Never mind, I thought. They will probably give us an extra glass of Prosecco or an extra cake as a goodwill gesture. No such luck - clearly there is no Customer Service Training within this company. Big mistake - we won't be returning.

We enjoyed the attentive and smiling service and the very cool prosecco that came with the groupon deal. However, the menu is very limited with a handful of main courses including only one vegetarian dish which included dairy products. This was a risotto which was full of what appeared to be cooked frozen rather than fresh peas and not much rice. It was cooked al dente with a creamy sauce but was disappointing overall unless you're a big fan of peas, which overpowered the dish for me. My husband had steak which was cooked well and made according to his preferences and worth paying the extra £3 for in addition to the groupon deal. We also ordered side dishes of new potatoes and salad, which were needed as the portions were far from generous. Both side dishes were good. This is potentially a very classy restaurant but needs some renovation to restore paintwork around the window ledges and floor varnish which are very chipped or worn in places.

MORE AT OpenTable

The Staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. The food was disappointing - if we hadn't gone on on a Tues with a 2 courses for £10 deal I'd have complained about all of it. For an establishment trying to be quite up market we were hopeful that with just 3 choices per course on the menu that they might excel at them. Unfortunately this was not the case, they were just OK in flavour and presentation. Starters My mackrel pate starter was fine. My partners goats cheese and beetroot was just that - a log of goats cheese with some cubes of beetroot pushed into it and lettuce sticking out of it like a hedge hog. If goats cheese wasn't so flavorsome this would have been bland and uninteresting. Mains My sea bass (for the full price especially) was nicely cooked but I'd expected to get 2 fillets not half a fish. The accompanying crab-cake was huge, totally bland, dry and i think about 5% crab 95% potato. My partners pork chop was fine, the gravy it came in was like a soup bowl of sauce with lots of peas in it - dreadful presentation (the sauce should have been in a jug/it's own pot and the peas and chop stacked nicely - instead of this swimming pool effect). Sides green beans looked distinctly supermarket packet chopped in half - they were fine, cooked well. Triple cooked chips were the worst I think i've ever had. Potato flavour was nice but that's where it stops they were very thick cut, not at all crispy, soggy in fact and totally pale. Not appealing. Ambiance The restaurant has no soft furnishings at all so with more than about 4 couples (or if a large party comes in) it gets too noisy very quickly and the heat - my word it was hot. We had initially considered having desert but after very average 2 courses and the heat and noise we just wanted to get out of there. Glad i've tried it but we won't be going back and can't in all honesty recommend it. There's much better places in Bristol that do what they do very well.

Went for dinner here as it was close to the hotel I stayed in in Clifton. There is very little parking so walking was the best option. I think we are in the bar rather than the dining room as there was a party in the dining room. It was very cosy and full even though it wasn't a weekend. The bar is a lovely room overlooking the garden. I had a ribeye steak which I asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. My mother joined me and because we ordered two main courses we received a free bottle of wine which was a nice touch. I would recommend. The party in the dining room was obviously fun but didn't stop the staff being very efficient and friendly

Arrived and seated in restaurant for our afternoon tea booking - completely empty, cold, no atmosphere, no music, just empty chairs & tables. Plus point - Prosecco was nice and cold. Sandwiches brought - well, they were the tiniest sandwiches, just enough to pop in your mouth whole! We had 4 minute triangles each. We then attempted to cut, or saw I should say, through our scones. To say they were rock hard is an understatement! We managed to chip a bit off but they were inedible. Really hard like rocks! We asked for them to be exchanged for 2 more - only to be told they were the last 2! This was at 2.00pm in the afternoon so a good job nobody else wandered in for afternoon tea! How can a restaurant only have 2 scones when afternoon tea being offered?? We said we'd have a few more sandwiches instead - and received just 2 more tiny, tiny triangles! The other piece of cake was nice to be fair (carrot cake and brownie) so we ate these and then left. Overall, not the best experience. Such a shame as was a birthday event for my friend. The afternoon tea was not special at all. It was brought out on plates rather than a stand. The procceco was not chilled and in cheap glasses. The sandwiches were the worst ever. They were cut irregular and had minimal filling and had cut so much of the crust off they were the world's smallest sandwiches ever. The service was ok I suppose. The dinning room does not reflect the photos on the website. The skirting boards were dented and the paintwork was chipped all over. The carpets on the stairs were nearly threadbare. This hotel and restaurant are in desperate need for a refurbishment and we felt there poor afternoon tea sadly reflected this. It lacked everything special. The scones were the best item but not enough cream was served and the coffee was vile. Overall very dissatisfied and would not recommend to anyone looking for a lovely afternoon tea. Cheap low budget youth hostel afternoon tea is what your after then thumbs up! On departure we noticed 3 large overflowing catering bins/skips left to the front door of the hotel. Rubbish all hanging out of the bins and all over the floor. Finnishing thought we hope the kitchen is not in this much mess. I honestly can't believe this establishment has earned themselves an AA rose award for their food. Shocking. We will not be returning again........

Ambience was good, we sat in the bar area which is quirky and generally a nice place to be. Main dining room looked like it could be a little soulless if it's quiet. We had a gift voucher for starter and main with a glass of Prosecco (which was very average). The food was mixed... It's like the chef is trying to be too 'foodie' and it doesn't always work! Starter of goats cheese was ok but the toasted nuts with it were a bit burnt so couldn't taste much else. Other starter was a mackerel and noodle salad which didn't work at all. Mackerel with peanuts is not good and the fish was overly pickled so tasted bitter and just a bit weird. That said, the main courses of chicken and pork belly were tasty. We also shared a chocolate fondant for desert which was excellent. Service was friendly but slow and the staff didn't seem to know the answers to our questions about the food (is the chicken breast or leg?). As we had a gift voucher we didn't pay much, but I don't think I'd be happy paying the relatively high prices stated on the menu for the food that we got. Overall ok, but room for improvement.

This is a lovely location in Clifton Village and a beautiful Regency building. We loved the bar area in shabby chic style with window seats overlooking the west facing sunny garden. Our dinner for 2 in the main restaurant was, however, disappointing - the lamb was not 'pink' as we were told it would be, and a couple of pieces too chewy to consume, the cheese looked like ordinary supermarket offerings and was straight out of the fridge, with very run-of-the-mill white wafer biscuits. This was what they called a £10.00 Tuesday so not a great amount to loose. The starter was not as much a starter more a nibble, I've had more filling free bar snacks, the main course was not as described, it was lamb with potatoes, (no potato's) Bacon (no Bacon) and some leeks I believe and Shallot puree. Nice tasting though just not enough, probably because of the missing components to the dish, the service was also really not very good and they seemed to be stressed by the fact they had 15 people dining. I assume they do deals like this to market their food, service etc quality in the hope you return for the full experience, unfortunately this did the opposite for me.
