Village Hut in East Ayrshire

Ordered the mixed grill, very disappointed the meat was cold so was reheated no way a tandoor was used as the chicken was very dry and cold, the curry sauce was very spicy with no flavor only thing that was edible was the rice and the salad, won't be back

food was ok but lacked taste which is not like Village Hut. Normally very tasty. Also found a small piece of plastic in the Rogan Josh. disappointed 😞

Order was ready early but missing items from my order which wasn’t ideal but the food that was there was good.

Tried the village hut in kilmarnock for the first time ordered chicken curry with rice my usual from lots of other take aways. Took home looking forward to a nice meal opened rice seemed fine opened the chicken curry was surpised to find it very watery and greasy looked more like chicken curry soup tried a bit found it tasteless and bland. And that is putting it mildly. Called the take away back to raise concerns regarding the quality of their food . And was told as I was a new customer the cook told me he had put a lot of love into it? To which I could hear laughter in the background. Please anyone thinking of going to the village hut in kilmarnock think twice even if you are desperate the cook told me he had never had a complaint before I said that's not what your reviews are telling. I took my curry to another restaurant and they told me that looks disgusting only reason I tried the village hut is because I was visiting the area at the time.

Food it's self was good. However when ordering the kabab, I asked for no salad and kabab sauce to be added. When we got the food there was salad and spicy kabab sauce on it. I'm also sure there was to be 2 can of juice in the order but they were also missing.

Food was excellent would be grateful if we had vouchers or get a discount available.

Food arrived 3o minutes early! However the food was cold and didnt taste great. The cheese wasn’t even melted properly so didnt even have the heat to begin with. Just poor quality

donner pakora was not good when cooking, oil must have been too hot and burnt it

no cheese on chips which is not what I ordered.

FANTASTIC !!!! As usual piping hot . Tasty fresh and very enjoyable. Big shout out to the delivery guy. Friendly and polite. More folk should put in positive reviews. Don’t just use reviews to bring a place down. Well done team Peking house

Chicken burger texture was like mush, really really cheap tasting. Not pleasant

The vegetable korma had a different taste to what I've had before, the cauliflower was bigger than I would have liked but it was nice. My husband enjoyed the silver box.

I was really disappointed with the Donner kebab. The amount of grease that was on the meat. It left a horrible coating in my mouth. Only managed a couple bits then binned it.

Only problem was there was no sauce with pakora 😪

Delivery was meant to be an hour at earliest got it within the half hour. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about it. Both curry’s were bland and tasteless chips were soggy and. First and last time using village hut. Worst takeaway I’ve had for a long time

When the food came it was freezing cold and it said it was on the way nearly 45 mins before we got the order

Kebab was delicious and chicken was super tasty! Only thing that let it down is the pitta falls apart

Got 2 Madras Curry's in the teatime special 1 was ok and the other was pure water. Get what you pay for I suppose.

I had ordered patia which I always get from many different places, this is the worst I have ever had there was nothing sweet and sour tasting in this it was just HOT HOT HOT, ended up in bin, the Nan bread was as dry as a bone again have had numerous times but nothing like this one again in bin, rice was lovely,, got free pakora (veg) I don’t like the veg one but was nice of restaurant to put in, will I use this take away again sorry no

Safe to say its went a bit down hill over the years. Nit the same as it used to be.

Delivery people were lovely, delivery time was before the scheduled time so zero complaints with that. Really did not like the food though.

Good amount of food for the price, but Donna meat was not great, dry and chewy, as if its been sitting for a while. It was also luke warm, if that. Won't order again from here.

I love this place, I have never been to a place this good in a while. I highly recommend the hoggies as they have a lot of weight to them and they are very filling. I recommend this place.

Spicy chicken calzone was inedible - I’ve never had issues with village hut before - liquid pouring out bottom and soaked into box - had to peel off box - no taste - not spicy - filling not cooked properly - just awful - sons donner calzone was ok

Honestly love this place. Consistently give big portions for reasonable price. My go to Indian takeaway :)

Most pakora was extremely dry and solid tbh, struggled to even break it a part.

Just been unable to eat their mixed pqkora, mushroom one was old mushrooms and the rest was hard. The sauce far too runny and salad was very old and dried up

Nothing ever changes you all get what you order and it’s always the same amount which is good and always cooked the same which is always good as well

Korma sauce was more like soup with about 8 chunks of chicken and was pretty much tasteless, pakora was scant of chicken and mostly batter and chicken was chewy. Very disappointing.

The chicken tikka garlic masala was bland and tasteless. Really tasteless. Definitely the worst I have ever ordered. The peshwari naan was crispy on the edges and doughy in the middle. The chips were only half cooked. I couldn't eat any of it. Sorry guys. If the food was good I would have given a glowing report.

I ordered a chicken tikka madras curry. The sauce had no flavour and had a watery consistency. Very poor. Honestly, the worst curry I've ever been served. I won't be back to this place a waste of 20 quid. Binned

Delivered in 20mins Cream used in the korma was off and tasted horrendous Achari just tasted disgusting as well Pakora was alright but sauce was most watered down sauce I've seen.

Best pizza we've had in a long time. Always forget about this place. Really enjoyed the pizza and chips. Will be ordering again soon.
