First rim e tonight. Lovely atmosphere. Food excellent. Highly recommend.

The owners and staff try the hardest to make your experience perfection. Food was great, although for an Indian establishment, spice was a little lacking. I do also understand it's based on the local populace. I wanted to order a Masala Chia. But was informed this place does not serve any type of tea. They did say they will be getting tea in the future. They food appears to be freshly made. And is delicious. I definitely recommend this place if your in Kilmarnock.

Had a really tasty takeaway lamb biriani and peshwari naan. Very generous portion so will be enjoying the second half tonight. The gentleman who served me was very pleasant and customer-focused. While waiting for my order could hear customers in the restaurant enjoying their meals too. Will definitely be back.

One of the nicest Indian meals we've ever had. The owners are committed to fresh, authentic food, and the staff clearly have a lot of pride in their work. We had some delicious and unusual chutneys/sauces with poppadoms (apple and cinnamon, pineapple and mint, tamarind and jaggery) paneer tikka & shredded lamb. All delicious and delicately spiced. Wish we lived closer!

ordered online after hearing good things about this place, arrived five mins after proposed collection time and still had to wait 15+ mins for food (restaurant wasn’t busy). would have been fine if it was worth the wait, but the curry (butter chicken) tasted dish-watery and the chicken was gross and flavourless. I wouldn’t waste your money

First time trying the Exotic Kitchen just by chance as we were passing looking for somewhere to eat. the food was first class as were the staff. I asked for the devil's advocate and the manager made sure i knew this was a very hot dish & explained everything was fresh ingredients & no colour preservatives. I will be back for sure.

Amazing Indian food, wholesome and cooked to impress. The flavours were outstanding, the presentation was flawless and the staff were generous and hospitable. The vegan meals were very clearly marked on the menu, and there were so many of them. Can't praise them enough... if we ever pass through again we will definitely detour to visit again. :-)

Best curry in Kilmarnock without a doubt. Chicken cooked perfectly and not rubber like everywhere else. Will definitely be ordering again👌

Shared a meal with my partner and took my baby in with us, staff are so attentive and ready to help, service was fast and the thought behind detail when serving is fantastic and not to mention the food was delicious and beautifully presented, I can’t thank Paul and his staff enough! We will definitely be back

tried for first time called up for collection stated start of call "set meal for 2" then told about 20 mins was 40 mins by time I got it, time I walked out with it at 22.30pm, the price had went up about £3 from what I saw online to £29.30 when I queried this I was told I never said set meal when I did(customer always right?) I also stated set meal for 2 when i walked in to the girl i think at this point they only staryed making it... anyway he said portion size is bigger as it wasn't a set meal so he can take it in kitchen and sort it out, no thanks I have just sat about 15mins when am in a rush waiting, I get home and only 1 rice no enough for both curries, the pakora is small and no even poppadoms and onion thrown in. absolutely disgraceful customer service won't be back and to think he was gonna reduce the portion size 🙄

Its just a shame this place isnt busier! Food was great, vegan options easily identified on the menu (great for me as milk intolerant- you can have a vegan dish with added meat option) Complimentary poppadoms brought to table before starters (like they used to!) Lovely staff, brilliant and varied menu. IPA and lager on draught. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, will definately be back! Thanks guys. A+

Pakora was the best Iv tried anywhere. Chicken tikka masala was delicious. Everything hot on arrival. Best bit was the spiced onions, I’d love to know how they’re made as they were so moreish. I’d give a 10* if I could.

We have ordered many times and booked the delivery nearly 1.5 hours in advance of the 6pm delivery time. The chips, naan and wrap were cold which was poor given the wait. Time was critical which was why booked well in advance so big let down. The South Indian was not spicy as it should have been and masala was just bland. Poor show Exotic Kitchen for a £60 order.

Ordered lamb biryani, substituted with chicken????

Food was excellent. All meals were cooked to perfection and would highly recommend. Just eat need to have a more realistic time collection or restaurant should contact advising correct time. I appreciate it was a busy Saturday but text or call to say come at 7.15 not 6.15 and avoid sitting an hour would have been massively appreciated. And to be constantly told no be long didn’t help

Oh my sweet jayzuz Iv found my favourite Indian takeaway! Food piping hot. The vegetable pakora was superb & the spiced onions REALLY? are up there as THE best Iv had anywhere none of the red colour, just proper crunch & so tasty, spicey 😋Tikka masala was oooooh yeah tasty with proper chunky bits of peppers & onions. Glad I read & took onboard other fantastic 5* reviews on here, theyr correct id give Exotic Kitchen a serious 10*. I’ll be back again & recommend to all.

Finally getting round to try this after seeing so many positive reviews on Facebook!! Hands down Best Indian I have ever tasted! Absolutely unreal, so fresh and brilliant portion sizes! amazing service will definitely be back!

Best curries in Kilmarnock by far.

Super fresh & great quality food. Especially the lamb was soft as butter. Best Indian food we’ve had in a long time. We’re here on holiday and had a lovely time here, staff is really sweet and helpful. Menu was very clear for those with dietary requirements as well

Heard about this place on a forces veterans fb page. Guy said they give discount to vets. I had no idea the place existed. Just got a takeaway from them. Garlic nan, chicken tikka karahi and rice. This is my new go to place for a curry. Didn't get the vets discount, but the food is awesome. So fresh tasting. I'll be back lol

Oh my goodness. The best Indian we've ever had. 2nd time getting a delivery from you guys and by far the best I've ever had. so flavourful and moreish. the descriptions on the menu are so detailed it's easy to pick and try new food. Can't wait to try something else new.

We were surprised to discover this restaurant has been here for a few years, as we hadn't noticed it before. We're glad we've discovered it, however, as the food is sublime! Everything is freshly prepared and the staff are attentive and caring. Highly recommended.

Ordered tonight never tried here before thought i would give it a go seen as it has 4.6 star reviews, i ordered a chicken korma,pilau rice and a garlic nann, the garlic nann was paper thin and had hardly any garlic on it/garlic taste to it, the chicken korma was edible but the sauce was very very mild tasting hardly any korma taste to it tbh not a strong creamy korma curry sauce, the chicken in the korma some of it was slightly chewy, pilau rice was fine, overall wouldnt order from again 😢

So friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing and freshly cooked. Some of the best Indian food we have ever had. So consistent and we enjoy it so much every time. Thoroughly recommend.

Really enjoyed my evening and more importantly the food. I had Tufo korma which was just delicious. Nan bread, basmati rice n poppadoms and pakora……3 of us all left say very happy to return to this restaurant. Definitely recommend Exotic Kitchen to my friends n family.

We really enjoyed the restaurant and had the best curries we’ve had in a long time. The curries were delicious and they clearly take pride in producing quality food. The owner and waitress were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We moved from London 6 years ago and used to visit our local curry house at least once a week. We haven't found anywhere we’d visit so often as in London, until now! Highly recommend and we will be back!

We have just enjoyed the most fantastic meal and all served up by with a beautiful smile by Mushkan our hostess. Perfect.

The food was excellent the staff were attentive without being pushy. It was recomennded to my wife. We went and then booked for a week later. Its small abd basic in restaurant but clean. Good portions for price and not a 100 dish menu. So everything is made well. The nan breads are crisp and tasty too

This is by far the best Indian in Kilmarnock, food is so flavourful. Not your generic takeout, even the spicy Onions were exceptional. We will be ordering from here again. Top Notch grub.

In Kilmarnock on business and along with colleagues we were lucky enough to visit this restaurant. The food and service were excellent, very attentive staff and all three of us ordered different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal which was freshly cooked with good quality products. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the town.

Wow, wow, wow. Everything was exotic, the food, the host, and the decor. We'll definitely be back. The smells and tastes were amazing. Very, very generous portion sizes. Make sure you go with an empty tummy. The food was ever so flavoursome. The poppadoms and dips!! No words to describe them. All the dips were handmade on site. Then for the mains, lamb just disintegrated in the mouth. It also wasn't hard to pay for either. Very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Excellent tikka with south Indian curry and really enjoy the achaari gobi. Would love it if you could add a lamb shish option. Lamb dishes all seems to be on the bone?

Pilu Rice could have been better, chicken in the chasni was quite dry. . . sauce was ok, garlic bread was nice.

Usually love this place ! But tonight was a disaster! Mature cheddar on garlic cheese naan & on my chips if I could add a pic it would show you how bad they were literally a sprinkle on it and it tasted awful

1st time trying this place made a mistake food very bland bit gutted about it. Meal for two, starter and 2 curries was 45 quid so was expecting big things don’t think I will be back.

My friend recommended Exotic kitchen as I was looking for somewhere to get some pakora. I found the restaurant and was warmly welcomed by the staff who were so friendly and happy. I ordered a vegetable and cauliflower pakora and I have to say that they were possibly the best I've ever had. The sauce was also very different to what I'm used to and very tasty. The restaurant also had a lovely atmosphere and I look forward to going back again for a proper dining experience. Thanks so much 😊

So I only wrote reviews if something/ somewhere is terrible or amazing .... I am pleased to say the latter . . Came tonight and was an excellent experience. Welcomed by the waitress and owner . Warm, personable and felt genuine . Nice decor and feel to the place . Just felt comfy . The food . . Wow !!! Fresh, arrived in a timely manner, presented beautifully and tasted amazing. . Absolutely shocking for the price!! Don’t ever order from this place, £28 for a special curry and cauliflower pakora that tasted like uncle bens!! 2 bits of lamb 3bits of chicken and 1 prawn!! Defo had my pants down on this 1😩😩

Hate being this person but it was late things missing and they hadn’t even put the meat in the curry. Shame as we were looking forward to it.

2nd meal at the exotic kitchen tonight. Food is fresh, excellent flavours and great portion sizes. Paul is a wonderful friendly host and even treated us to a meal for our 1 year old. We had the railway lamb and the South Indian garlic chilli with tiger prawns and it was fabulous. Looking forward already to our next visit.

This place is unexpected, fab food and needs advertised more Wines rather delicious as well. Need to encourage more customers into the restaurant. Hidden gem.

Been in a few times now and can honestly say the food is excellent. Good portion sizes and a friendly welcome. A great addition to Kilmarnock restaurants and will be back soon. Great range for vegetarians as all dishes can be made with either paneer, vegetables or tofu.

This is the second amazing meal we have had at Exotic Kitchen. My friend and I had dinner there this evening and it was a 5 star experience. Firstly the service is truly fantastic. Our waitress Muskan was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and took the time to talk with us and make us feel welcome. The owner Paul is also very friendly and always looking for feedback on the food and how to improve. Its always nice to see someone passionate about food and the diners experience. My friend had the Butter Chicken and I had the Coconut Chicken Curry. Both were absolutely excellent and the sides were equally as good. We had a Paratha, Pashwari nan and some Pilau rice. The owner also brought us out some poppadoms and an array of chutney and spice onions. This is the second fantastic meal we have had and the whole bill including drinks came to just over £40. Great value dinner, made outstanding by the friendly service and nice atmosphere. 100% will be back and can highly recommend this for a great meal out.

This place is an absolute diamond! Unexpectedly found ourselves in Kilmarnock on Monday 19th of February 2024. Fancied an Indian so checked out reviews on Google and they seemed to point to the exotic kitchen. I’m always sceptical of reviews, but, in this case, the reviews weren’t wrong. The food we had (chicken tikka southern Indian garlic chilli and a velvet pineapple) was absolutely fabulous! It really was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the dishes and were only two pleased to offer help with ingredients, spices etc. Great value for money at £60 including a bottle of wine and somewhere I’ll be sure to revisit the next time I find myself in Kilmarnock..

Worst Lamb Bhuna I've had. Wattery and no depth of flavour. Completely disappointed as it use to be our favourite sadly it's now no longer the same.

Good to see the place busy on a windy and wet Thursday night and we try and select a different dish every time we are in - hopefully we will go through the card in the near future! Popped in here after hearing good reports from friends. Couldn’t fault the food, service or menu. The food was not too spicy, really nice aromatic subtle tastes and clearly good produce with no artificial colouring and additives. Marked the atmosphere down purely because it was mid week and very quiet. Otherwise the review would be 5 stars all the way. Will be back

I ate here for the first time a couple of nights ago. The atomosphere and service was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. We tried various dishes on the menu and loved every single one. I would highly reccomend and can't wait to visit again in the future. Thanks for a great night.

First time trying the Exotic kitchen. Will definitely be back food was lovely and cooked exactly as we asked for it.. Service was great only thing I would say is the music was a bit too loud couldn’t hear properly. Looking forward to our next visit.

First visit after being recommended. Amazing welcome and service throughout. My wife and I shared the Royal Tandoori Platter. Everything was so tender and tasty. Served on a bed of onions on a sizzling hot dish. Mains were South Indian Garlic Chilli, Shredded Lamb, Pilau Rice and Garlic Nan. The flavours were fantastic and meat melted in mouth. Needless to say we had a lovely doggie bag to take away as portions are big. Almost forgot to mention that you also receive popadoms with a selection of chutneys and spiced onions after you place your order. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended and looking forward to our next visit.

Read the reviews for this place on here and they were spot on. Gorgeous food, good portions and lovely service at a decent price. Simple as that really. That’s our new Indian of choice now. It really was the friendly service that made the difference compared to our usual regular Indian in Kilmarnock we went to for about four years. Free papadoms and chutneys which were really good. Starters , onion baji and veggie pakora were lovely.South Indian garlic, chile chicken and chicken chasni were fantastic. Rice and Nan gorgeous too. Kids ate the lot too! Went in at 1700 and left at 1900 and it was really busy, which was a surprise for This time if the year. Out of curiosity we drove past the the other Indian we used to go too and it was dead. I think that speaks volumes on a Saturday at peak time. We will be back for sure.

First visit tonight after seeing the amazing reviews on social media. Can’t fault it, service was great with nothing too much trouble. Food was so fresh and piping hot. Every table was full and they had a steady stream of delivery pickups, even under the pressure the team handled it perfectly and there wasn’t any delay on courses the perfect amount of time between. As soon as my stomach shrinks again we’ll be back!

First visit after reading some recommendations. Very warmly welcomed by staff. Restaurant had a good buzz and got busier after we arrived. Good sign. Ordered main courses only, but we were presented with complimentary spiced onions chutney and poppadoms. Delicious. Our meal, chicken tikka karahi and tandoori mixed grill were presented piping hot. Rice and naan bread. All very well cooked and tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back, and will try the takeaway service also.
