Stayed here for two nights. Breakfast was included in our package, although sadly wasn't the best. Not much choice, greasy and cheap meat. For £10 per person per day you expect more quality. Better off going elsewhere and save money. We didn't eat breakfast on second morning. First night sleep sadly was disappointing, very nosy residents, door slamming and people banging on doors at 6 20am... we reported it and they did say they would speak to them. Second night was better. Location is good as we had concert at co-op live, a 20 min tram ride away. Tram station a few mi s walk from hotel. We will stay again however will not pay for Breakfast or upgrades. Parking is free at weekend for everyone, they said it was included in our package when we got there its free for everyone (Friday from 5pm till Sunday 3pm) so a bit deceiving. The pub and grill was ok, food was good. We got a £50 food voucher with our package. There are plenty of other eateries around too, so not limited to have food there if you fancy something different.

Bar service was awful 😖 all staff stood about moaning and tables dirty and untidy had one drink on a Friday as well left we would of stayed longer but couldn't see the shambles any longer.

What a disappointment this hotel was. The receptionists upon arrival were very helpful but unfortunately the bar staff beyond this point need some training on customer service. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad experience, but it just wasn't a good one. Our room was very dated and not the cleanest in the world, the carpet needed a good clean. A lack of attention to detail on the cleaning and decor shows. I would have loved to have given a 5* review here as I always believed the Village Hotels were better than jo average but unfortunately, on this occasion it was 3* at a push. Premier Inn have better and cleaner rooms.

When I looked for a hotel I looked to a one which has a gym and pool and when I found this one I booked and bought for it directly but when I get there the employee told my if I want to use the gym and pool I must pay 5 pounds for each day I use it. I really surprised and didn’t expect that. I went to so many hotels around a lot of countries all were if you are a guest in the hotel ( you have a booking in a room ) you can use the gym for free for sure!!!

Met up with friends for drinks, great atmosphere, free parking on the Friday evening we went, check parking signs when you go as you have to enter your registration number at the terminal in the hotel entrance and pay depending when you park.

I haven't stayed at the hotel but use the gym. The gym has better equipment than most hotel gyms. And is rearly to busy to get on the equipment. The pool is lovely and the sauna and steam room a good enough. The steam room does smell a bit but that's not the end of the world.

Outstanding hotel, staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. Fantastic nights sleep after a night cap or two in the bar. The rooms are very spacious, modern, and very quiet. Everything was clean and tidy both in my room and around the hotel. Very family friendly but was also used by people traveling for business. My son and I loved the pool, and then went for breakfast, everything was cooked fresh and there was plenty of it. All in all, 5/5 across the board and me and the family will definitely use again, and recommend to anyone very highly. Thank you Village hotel for a lovely weekend.

I have been using the Vworks business hub in the Village for a number of months now and it is absolutely fantastic. For anyone who like myself struggles to concentrate with the distractions of being in the office or at home this is the perfect environment for me. I can get my computer and pad set up and really focus and zone in. I believe I am by far more productive and efficient in Vworks than I am in the office or at home, plus my performance improves as well due to the like-minded environment they create in the Village, Ashton-under-Lyne. Added bonuses are the complimentary teas, coffees, water, drinks and printing. What really makes it in there for me though are the staff, they are so warm, welcoming and friendly and if I ever am struggling with anything they are so helpful and supportive. Without the Vworks I am not as productive as I would like to be. Hopefully, I'll be there for many years to come as I find it is the perfect environment for me to be creative, productive, efficient and perform as high as I possibly can. Thank you Vworks and the Village, Ashton-under-Lyne for helping and support me and my personal and professional aspirations thrive and grow.

Very convenient location. Rooms are very dusty, my son found leftover props from a grooms party under his bed and also a used bandaid in his shower. Last night there was a function on. School kids were being dropped off by adults in hired luxury cars with modified ridiculously noisy exhausts. They were noisy enough at 6pm when they were being dropped off and tearing around the car park at high speed, let alone when it continued until midnight.

I signed up for access to the Gym & the V-Works area of the gym, great facilities and team onsite. However, due to the nature of my work (Touring Events) I required to leave the membership as Festival season started for the summer and I no longer live in Manchester Provided evidence to both the member services team and to the DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY the set onto me to be advised they couldn't accept the letter from the Landlord/Letting agency that confirms I no longer rent a house in the area. Provided them with my work contact details (An office based in Paris) and called to confirm to be met with a spiteful discussion from a member of the team who wouldn't explain to me what else I can provide. To date, still recieving emails from Debt collectors, the member services team and an automated message to try and collect money from me.... a national multi-million pound company trying to extort money from a member of the public who can no longer attend the gym: true criminals

Met up with best friend Mr Barber for breakfast and catch up. Come here regularly, breakfast choice varied, good quality well presented and tasty. Nice relaxed atmosphere, helpful friendly hard working staff. One thing to note both me and my friend found unbelievable, the clearly signed well positioned disabled parking bay's being used (abused) by lycra clad gym bunny's, but mainly men in shorts flip flops and towels over the shoulder driving Audi's and Range Rovers clearly all in peak fitness ignorantly taking these bay's?? Shame on you all. One man we seen in such a rush, he'd left something in his Range Rover and run back to it, a couple seen where he was parked as he again walked away from his car and a look of disbelief, the man was suddenly struck with a limp???? Limped painfully to the door of the building once inside he was cured (A minor Miracle you might say) he then, with a spring in his step Continued on his way to the gym?? Loads of available parking at the Village. Shame on you. (Rant over) We will be back.

Recently stayed over two nights for wedding event. Overpriced rooms for whats included. No wardrobe space. Hanging space for suits only. The tv may as well be removed, i dont know anyone that watches normal terrestrial tv. The rooms deffinatly catered towards business men.We also had to pay extra to use the pool. Breakfast was ok.

There was only one bitter beer in the bar. All the rest was lager. As a long-time beer drinker I found that unacceptable. I have drunk beer for over sixty years and the one beer the bar had was the worse I have ever drunk. In fact I didn't finish it all. Very unusual for me.

Went here with a good friend for the Retro Disco Decades Tribute night. Didn't stay here. Good parking available. Function bar open and room rapidly filling, everyone getting into the vibe. Even dancing before the meal which is great to see. Drinks prices reasonable too. From 8pm, Mains arrived. Chicken breast with veg, mash potato base and gravy. Plate and food were very hot, food nicely cooked, well seasoned and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plate was still hot after I'd finished!! Dessert- Chocolate torte, very nice. Tribute Act - DJ was really bouncing us along, played an awesome variety of classic hits. A surprise was a live vocalist and he was very good. Got everyone whipped up, highly interactive with audience, he was on for an hour. Overall a brilliant night, fantastic.

Only couple of niggles at the hotel, we found it hard to find a road to get into it and couple of wooden areas in the room were chipped and the one by TV looked like dogs had scratched it. Would we use Village Hotels again definitely

My mum and Dad stayed recently and ask me to review on her behalf. The moment they arrived there was a helpful staff member on hand to assist with check in and to guide her to the room. The room was immaculate, extremely clean and comfortable. Before leaving for a family event they had a drink in the bar, service was prompt and very friendly the staff made them feel very welcome. Breakfast the following morning was lovely, a great selection of food. Once again served by friendly courteous staff. Overall a wonderful stay in a very well kept, clean hotel and most importantly a great nights sleep. Will definitely be returning thank you.

Sorry to say but for a first time stay in a hotel I was left disappointed, black mould on bathroom ceiling, noise from busy road which cannot be helped, room drinking facilities not replenished, most surprising children playing football in lobby and nearly getting hit by a football coming out of lift when going out for the evening, really tainted my stay and would think about staying in the village hotel again, when a friend stayed at Travel Lodge for less money and nicer experience.

Fantastic Easter weekend stay. Lovely family room with a super kingsize bed, bathroom with shower and bath and a large tv. Very comfortable beds. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, our cleaner, Aida, really went the extra mile to make our stay special. Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The location is fantastic with lots of eateries, bowling and cinema on the door step and a tram stop just outside if you fancy a trip into the city. We will definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately there are a number of issues in the men's changing room. 1) bent drainage plates on the floor presenting a trip hazard 2) mold on the shower ceiling 3) missing clothes hooks on changing cubicle doors. But most importantly parking The hotel has a lot of accessable spaces for blue badge holders. Unfortunately most of the time these spaces are abused by non-blue badge holders. Often judging by the gym bags people who have no problem working out. But can't walk a few yards to the entrance. On several occasions I have emailed the CEO of village hotels and been ignored. This lack of interest in a serious issue affecting their disabled visitors and members is disappointing considering the usual quality of food and general service. However the difficulty in actually parking if you are disabled I would recommend going somewhere else UPDATE Despite contacting Village hotel by twitter and email and being ignored. The parking situation has still not improved. Possibly a breach of the equality act ?

Had chicken tikka biryani with a madras sauce, was the best curry iv ever had, it was that nice I had it again the next day. Sheek kebab good too. Takes a while to make so I suggest you order atleast 30min before if your picking up. Been looking for a good Indian takeaway and finally found it. Top notch 👍

Location of the hotel is fab. McDonald’s and Tesco is on your door step, it is also attached onto a pub and grill with a wacky wearhouse for children! We was greeted with such a lovely women named Tracey, who answered all questions we had, very friendly and even acknowledged our little girl and offered her a lollipop! Will definitely be coming back here to stay:)
