Food was tasty but greasy especially the vegetable rice Will go back again but order something different. There was 1 waiter who seemed to be running around doing everything.

We order from here a lot. The food is very good quality, great prices, fresh and piping hot on delivery. The portions are good. We have eaten in too and the staff whether in house or delivery are always polite and respectful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is so so good. Great staff. Great venue, and most importantly a very good chef. I cannot stress how good this place is. By far the best in tameside. Actually I can't think of anywhere that's better than here. I love you guys very much

I made a telephone order, I've been out for the evening and do love this restaurant. Ordered delivery - my order was wrong £50+ spent family meal! I spoke perfect english while ordering and had to repeat and this was translated to completely a different order. I called and chap did apologise and say will sort something on next order. But night ruined if you can understand that when you really look forward and pay for something & get a completely different meal. It ruins the whole night. So wtf

Called here on a very very hot Saturday night on route to picking up our daughter from Manchester Airport. We opted for the set meal for 2 Priced at £29 3 popadoms and pickle tray, 2 starters 2 curries 1 side dish 1 rice 1 nan All food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the place was pleasant and clean. Thankyou

On my own on work trip, popped in for early doors. Bit quiet at 5:30 but food was great. I had Lamb Achari, tender meat 👍, rich sauce with pickle tang and a proper kick. In the words of AS, I’ll be back.

This is honestly the best Indian Curry/food place to go and dine or order via online. It’s the best in Tameside. I’ve been ordering from here for years now. I won’t order from anywhere else. Their food is fresh, tasty and well presented. In fact I’m ordering again tonight!. I’m addicted to their madras !. And the other curry I order. And the lamb tikka 👌🏻 Amazing. If you’re looking for the perfect place to order a luxury curry from then this is the place!. The staff are lovely too

Usually spot on but last night delivery was late and the food was Luke warm,and to top it all off delivery driver peering through the window which scared the life outta my little one👎

My food came one hour early and the driver just said we're busy? I ordered two chicken bhuna and one lamb. The lamb bhuna was just a plain curry with tomato in but no taste of what I ordered. The popadoms where stale and inedible. A total waste of money. Normally this restaurant is very good but not this time. Very very unhappy

Would I eat here again no called in last night for a eat in meal everything was rushed as they was closing but they never said this when we went in the young lad was very rude to my missus so yes I did have a kick off and left we didn't actually eat anything as it was all a rush to get us sat down the starter came then within 10 min the main came out and before we could finish the starter they put the mains on top of the starter and started trying to take our plates that the starter was on so yes we did walk out and no we didn't pay please avoid this place

Food isn't bad but 2 of the waiters tried to chat up my 12 year old daughter, one of them called her cutie and was put right in his place. I'll never go in the place again and I'd advise everyone else to boycott the place too. For them to ask her name and pay her all the attention they did right in front of us both and not even trying to spark a conversation with myself or my wife was sickening and shows what a truly bad state of affairs is happening to our young girls from these men.

Food was awful , popadoms onion Bhajis chips and curry was cold the bhajis tasted stale along with the popadoms . The lamb chops tasted salty and lemon . I have ordered from here many times and always been happy so not sure why but doubt will return

Chips were undercooked, chicken was fatty and too chewy, rice was stale and clumpy first and last time.

Food was not hot enough on arrival due to late delivery. Poppadoms weren’t fresh, lots of grease spilled out onto packaging and carrier bag.

Best thing was the chips Nan burnt Curry tasteless

Fab food as always. Don’t usually have delivered as we live close. But delivery was mega early and food piping hot.

Outstanding food as usual. You really won’t find a better restaurant than this in the Uk and I’m not exaggerating!. I’ve been eating curries for the last 34 years and no where has or ever compares to this place. All the curries taste fresh, full of flavour, always hot when delivered. The staff and chef clearly put a lot of effort into making their food as literally everything from the rice, all of the different curries, Nan breads, chips, garlic lamb, onion bajjies, popadoms etc etc is all cooked to perfection. Since ordering from here 5 years ago I won’t order from anywhere else now. The staff are also friendly and professional. I definitely recommend to anyone. The food is worth every penny! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First and last time ordering from here. Food was awful… bland, poor quality meat, tasteless watery sauce. King prawn puri contained three prawns. Awful, we had to bin most of it and make ourselves a sandwich instead. Total waste of money.

Vile chips. Covered in old chip pan fat. Currys full of water, rice hard. Sorry but your food was terrible never again.

I’ve been ordering from here since I moved up here 6 years ago and I make a order near enough every other week as a treat after a hard & stressful week! And not once have they disappointed me. I never order from any other restaurant but here. The food is outstanding and the staff are very polite and professional. The garlic lamb I order is gorgeous especially when you put it with the madras sauce!. Everyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with their curries!. I Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food to order from this restaurant

Food missing, turned up cold, tried to call the restaurant 32 times, user busy.

Thought I'd give this place a try as a usual place with a similar name was not taking orders today. Where to start. Delivery was prompt and the driver was very pleasant. That was the good bit. The only good bit really. The sauce was all over the bag internally, turns out it wasn't the sauce but too much ghee being used. The starter was OK, maybe a bit bland if anything tbh. The nann was missing completely ....I've requested a refund for this via the app. Avoid the veg rice guys, way too much oil in the dish. Again way too much ghee in the foil tray even though most of it was in the bag. Would I order from BO again. No.

Not been, this review is just based on my experience trying to book. Called them and asked if they do 25% off for gourmet society members, as blue ocean is on their website saying they offer the discount. When I first called I was told they offer the discount and they booked me a table. Shortly before going they rang me saying they don't actually offer the discount and they don't want me to go!! They said book another day don't come today, and they gave no explanation why, my booking was hours before closing time as well. Too lazy to serve customers I suppose. Stinky attitude on these guys, AVOID. There are other Indian restaurants in Denton with better customer service, try one of them instead.

Korma and Pilau rice was cold, standards have dropped since previous delivery. However the biriyani was very nice!

Everything was a bit tasteless. Both curries and the rice was far to greasy. After reading the reviews I expected this place to be fantastic.

On visiting Manchester from London we wanted an Indian restaurant meal close to our hotel after a long drive. We are so happy to have found Blue Ocean. One of the best biriani apps have ever had. The service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. It wasn’t very busy but deserves to be.

Blue Ocean Denton 1 star is being very generous just had Donner kabab sandwich. More grease than anything else totally unable to eat the nan bread. Grease tastes rancid as does the whole kebab. Threw directly into the bin. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

I asked for plain lamb chops and got given these with sauce on??

We’ve never ordered from here before but wanted to try somewhere new. We’re so glad we did. The curries were absolutely gorgeous and the garlic fried rice was unlike any I’ve ever had before. Really lovely food. We will definitely be ordering again. Also the delivery driver was so friendly!! Thank you :)
