Village Hotel Leeds North in Leeds

Had a great stay at the village the rooms and the food were great . Visited the Gym and the pool the Gym Receptionist Suzi was very helpful and very welcoming .And kindly showed me quickly round the refurbished gym it looked amazing.Will definitely return

Used the spa a week ago, paid £25 for the sauna to be broken, coffee from a lady spilt in the hot tub, swimming lessons to have moved over to the side of the pool we could use, told because I’m not a member I can’t use the lockers in the changing rooms, urine sample in the changing rooms toilet and when I left and asked for a refund I was offered a free pass, once declined I was told “well I can’t refund you today” I said that’s fine. From this day I’ve rang 7 times been down twice and still no call back. Wouldn’t recommend going

I don't enjoy getting to the venue in rush hour traffic.

Gym manager is the rudest member of staff I have ever come across. Totally clueless in customer service and not to mention the rest.

Had a lovely lunch at the village and had a day pass to visit the gym .Its going through a refurbishment will looks like it will be amazing when it’s completed, The pool was lovely staff were very friendly , Suzi the receptionist was very friendly and showed us round the refurbishment it certainly will be amazing when completed , definitely will be back

Hotel is lovely. Great Location but the car parking is an absolute nightmare. Based on that I would not recommend staying here.

I've been a member at Leeds village north for the last few years I love the yoga classes especialy brionys ,but finding it difficult to be able to get on the classes as seem to be fully booked well in advance,so I'm hoping more classes when the refurbishment is complete .I also must say Suzy is a great friendly receptionist .and full of important information about the gym .

I did not expect that. For a 3-star-hotel it's definitely a five rating. Huge swimming pool area, with hot tub, one of the best fitness studios I have ever seen. Food & service good. Hotel & rooms clean and a good bed! One star less in the location as it is quite a way to the city center (but really close to my firm)!

The big lady with the red long hair who works downstairs for the gym is extremely lazy and needs to attend training for customer service. We had a baby with us and was going to use the swimming pool and asked her for a towel and was told that they were no towels available. My husband then made his way to the upstairs reception and asked them to help with the towels and this should of been her job to do this and I feel she's lacking customer service skills

Avoid at all costs. The place needs much more cleaning, disgusting . Never again!

Though I should write a review my friend and I stayed at the village hotel at headingly ,over night we had a very enjoyable stay, rooms were great ,location great food was great .decided to go visit the gym . The lady on gym reception Susie Gave us a very warm welcome as we had never been before ,she was so friendly and very helpful explaining everything about the gym facilities and the pool area .We had a very enjoyable visit .

This a review for the gym I just want to say a big thanks to my pt Dylan who has transformed my life Also some other staff members like Kyle and will also poleaner have made my time at the gym very enjoyable I wud recommend to anyone who want to get in shape

Cat and chloe, at the front desk were amazing. They helped us all out with the room and the leisure centre part. Couldn't fault them and they went above and beyond for our whole family.

I'm a member of the Spa. The facilities are excellent & the staff are very friendly & helpful.

We stay here as a family a couple of times a year for trips away. It is a really well kept hotel, everything is clean and comfortable. The location is good for us and the staff are so friendly and helpful, we have never come across anyone who is not more than happy to go out of the way to make your stay great. This time we had some lovely treats and surprises left in our room by the front of house team for my daughter's birthday which really made her day. Thanks you!

The swimming 🏊‍♀️ water is very cold and water is choppy !! I just think the facilities eg the changing rooms and shower cubicles need a revamp. Above the ceiling of the showers are a gaps and mould that is off putting, exposed pipes above the shower cubicles. Perhaps shut the pool down and give the poolside area, around where the white grates are at the edges of the pool a deep clean. Just see black mould, which makes me feel physical sick ! The saunas and steam rooms are too small for the volume of people using the facilities. People with mobile phones in the swimming room area around the seated area is not supposed to be allowed, but it happens, is also off putting.

I'm a gym member and the car park is a nightmare, never enough spaces.

This is the first time ever leaving a review and I just felt like I had to. The customer service was absolutely brilliant the staff was very friendly kind and welcoming, I believe there was a young lady by the name of Maisie. She really did make our experience and time in the hotel very smooth and helped with any issues or queries we had. Rooms were comfy and will definitely be booking again in the near future

I am not impressed as I was contacted via LinkedIn by Sarah Jow (nee Smith) from Village hotel offering me a free week's trial of VWorks Coworking space. I replied and she hasn't bothered replying to my messages. I might not have used the free trial offer anyways but what I find disrespectful is that she initiated the offer and then she has no decency to replying to my messages.

This is the 2nd time staying here and what I initially thought was a one off mistake appears to be intentional. The door to the room doesn't reach the floor, so in the middle of the night the very bright light from the corridor is shining directly in my eyes as I lie in bed. It's bright enough for me to make shadow puppets on the opposite wall. At 5am I have had to get out of bed to get a towel and put it over the bottom of the door. Only stay here if you don't like sleeping.

Hotel ok, the traveller wedding they hosted was not, fighting in car park, entire hotel thick with fog (I think everyone was smoking inside, didn't know you could still smoke in hotels) loud music until 12.30am quiet until 1am then they started fighting in corridors, kicking people's doors in, trashing rooms, they'd employed x2 security who left at midnight, reception/staff useless, my company had spent over 25k on rooms for a week, I hope I never stay at a village hotel again.

This is a super hotel. Modern bar/restaurant, clean/tidy rooms, large bedrooms, TV, coffee/tea making, large shower head. Modern reception. Access to a Costa in-house, gym, classes, sauna, jacuzzi. Large TV screens in bar. Area to sit out in front of hotel. Near other pubs and some restaurants. Staff were very helpful.

Deffo the best hotel in Leeds! Great gym facilities and the staff always go above and beyond to look after their customers! Suzi & Kyle in particular always welcome everyone with a smile and find time to help people!

My review is specific to the leisure club at Village North Leeds, I've been a member for a number of years and would like to share feedback as I can't speak highly enough of the member experience there. From the gym reception - where Suzi is always super helpful, through to the trainers. I would tend to use the pool and classes, but recently I started using the weights and machines. One of the trainers, Will Jones, took the time to help me with a plan which has boosted my confidence in the gym. And Tola's Zumba classes are fab! The Village North is such a friendly place, I wouldn't choose to train anywhere else!

I come every week to the gym and enjoy veras yoga classes .. The receptionist Suzi is always very helpfull and friendly x look forward to coming every week to the village

The rooms have no AC, my mum and auntie stayed here a couple of nights while visiting during summer. They provided a very loud fan in the room blowing hot air around. I do not recommend staying here in the warmer months but the gym facilities are great! Suzi is very strict with the towels. Everyone is friendly and overall a lovely hotel.

I attend daily for a swim and Suzi on reception is always courteous conscientious and if not busy with clients she is cleaning.

Great hotel but there was a function on until late! This was a Monday night and we had a 3am alarm for the airport.. please check if they have a function on if your using this as an airport stop over. Staff did say the function finished at 10pm but it was more like 11pm.

On the edge of Leeds but local to where we wanted to be. Rooms are very smart with everything you need, a great shower. Wide selection of drinks available, breakfast not the best but staff are lovely. Would definitely stay again.

I have visited the village Hotel on several occasions. I am particularly impressed with the pool area because my kids love it. I would like to say a massive thank you to Ruth Twisa for the attention and care she provides at the poolside. Both my children and myself find her charismatic, friendly and helpful.

Had a fantastic aqua session with Hayley Booth and a lovely meal at the pub!

Love this place. Great staff, the gym is perfect and the bar is top notch. If I had one criticism, and that's only a small one, is that I've seen people stood waiting at the bar with not one person behind the bar to serve. Apart from that..great place

Ruth IIs a happy jolly lady who always has the time of day , she makes me laugh even when I feel rubbish , The Village would be a sad place without her She's been here 12 years , don't lose her

Having a fan in the room was great! There was no hairdryer and the showerhead is fixed. It is quite far from anything

Suzie on reception was lovely at greeting me and making sure that my query was resolved immediately. She is always happy to see us when we come in. We love coming to Tuesday spin class with Jamie too.

My partner and I are both members of the village gym and wanted to take a moment to sing the praises of Dillon, one of the personal trainers. His advice and help with using the gym equipment has been invaluable. He's always happy to assist and has helped my partner make great strides in his training and knowledge. We also want to give a shout out to Kyle, the lifeguard, who always has such a friendly and positive presence by the pool and around the gym. His happy, uplifting vibes make everyone feel welcome!

Great location but the room had broken fixtures, dodgy wiring with fittings falling out of the wall, a great Dyson fan that wouldn’t work because all the remote controls for it in the hotel had been stolen and they weren’t replacing them. The room was a sweat box. It’s a great location but I’ll be staying at the Premier Inn down the road next time. At least there it won’t be swarming with noisy kids running the corridors unchecked by parents or staff and I’ll get a good nights sleep.

Found class a drugs in the hotel room proving it hadn’t been cleaned properly, the room also had a very strong scent of cannabis! We Contacted the reception which then found another room for us (that was falling apart) at 11pm. Wasn’t offered a refund till we complained but even still we haven’t received the refund nearly 5 weeks on! Tried numerous times to deal with Helen Leadbeater the manager and found it extremely difficult to get in contact with her. Will be seeking to take this to the top. Would hate for this to happen to a family with young kids

My family and I hosted a party in the Village Hall and it went great thanks to the manager Joe. Such a big help and a lovely bloke. He really helped make the day that much more special. Thank you to the Joe and the rest of the Village Leeds crew😁

Our 3rd year returning when we attend Slamdunk at Temple Newsam. Impeccable service as always. Friendly and welcoming staff on the front desk and in the bar and restaurant. Lovely clean rooms! Overall just such a great standard of hotel. We will see you next year ☺️

Spent 2 days here as it was near to emmerdale tour site .checked in fine staff very polite.we stayed in room115 1st floor.it was a nice room with enormous tv.bathroom contained a good size bath and shower..fan in bathroom didnt work no glasses for water and no shower cap for anyone who wants to keep hair dry. Major issue was plug for light socket which was hanging out of wall see picture we did report it but nothing done before we left. Ate in restaurant and meals were very good. Drinks a bit pricey but sports bar well laid out with TVs.its a lively hotel with loads of people coming and going for gym and pool.my only complaint being noise from gym during excercise classes we were well away from it and still all u could hear was thumping bass noise and teachers instruction. Loads of kids there I I assume for swimming classes occasional issues as they are excited running around. It's still good to see parents encourage swimming classes. Breakfast is buffet style no fried eggs scrambled but you can ask for poached.bar staff and waiters friendly and thanks to staff for a nice break if a little noisy

when checking in the staff was lovely well inviting great service. went upstairs to my room but got lost on the way so saw 3 staff members in blue tops so ask them if they could direct me to my room. to which point they all looked at me like i was rubbish on the floor and started speaking a different language I told them i speak English and they just walked away. this is so unprofessional and not called for. do you have any staff upstairs that do speak English? will not be coming here again i think I'll stick to the one in Morley. everything else was lovely just not the staff upstairs that don't speak a word of English surly that can't be ok.

Stayed at the Village North Leeds the night before my wedding. The room was lovely and comfy with a large king size bed and full bath which was nice and relaxing. Also, very clean. I was also gifted a pre- wedding bottle of prosecco from staff members Mya and Cathy, which was a nice surprise - thank you!!

Myself and my wife have stayed at both village hotels in Leeds and enjoyed our stay . We Chilled out in the pool and health suite which was nice enough.The staff on the desk on our visit was a bit short and could do with being a bit more friendly people are paying and in my opinion they should always realise this! but that said I really don't care for people that cant make the effort even though they are getting paid for the customer service part of their job. And I certainly would not let them ruin our positive vibes . All of the other staff fist bumps and all that ..the room was comfortable and warm, food was good 😁

Excellent facilities, rooms, bar and grill. Very pleasant and helpful staff. They even let us southerners watch Arsenal on their big screens! Overall a really nice stay.

I arrived at the hotel around 7.30pm on the 25th March 2024 (ROOM 201) to find all the parking spaces were taken. I double parked and then went to reception which was "not manned". Its a self check in service which is fine but this place is far to busy to not have a person on standby. When I got into my room i could see the light from the hall under the rooms door which was a little concerning. I found a parking space around 8, went down stairs for dinner which was OK and returned to the room at 9.30 and wenr to bed. At around 10pm I was woken up by my neighbour who was clearly unwell. She had a cough which unfortunetely was so loud I could hear it as if she were in the same room. I needed to be up a 5.30 so i called reception to get a room change but the calls were not being answered. I emailed the Hotel but this too was ignored. I stuck my earpods in to drown out the noise but once the batteries had run out I was back to hearing the loud coughing for the rest of the night. I called the hotel a few more times but NO ANSWER! In the moring I was given the name of the manager so I could email her with my complaint. She ingnored me... Theres a pattern emerging here... I was then sent a "how was your stay" email which I replied to, calling the hotel to action, which again was ignored. So inconclusion, it was the worst nights stay Ive had in 25 years of business travel. Personally I have never been given so many chances to put right, bad service. These guys were given plenty and ignored them all. As the operations director, Ive given instructions to our business to issue a CCJ (small claim court) against the Village Hotels group, and I bet you £10, they ignore it!

Another village with rude staff and poor customer service. Arrived and reception couldn't find the booking I had for a meeting room. Once we produced the confirmation email we were shown to a room and received no information. Had to go back to reception area and ask about our refresment package and got a brisk "that's another department" reply. Eventually had to email the booking email to get out refresments delivered and even then it was dumped on table with no conversation.

I’ve been working with Louis Taylor as a personal trainer and it’s brilliant. For the first time in my life I’ve felt confident walking into the gym, and happy to do the workouts he’s created for me.

I’m a member of the gym here and have been for years. The recent addition of functional kit and spaces as well as classes suit my CrossFit training style perfectly! There are also some really high quality instructors too, Will and Laura do particularly great classes and bring a great energy to them and a friendly and positive vibe the gym floor as well!

I'm a member at the gym. The facilities are good and staff and the staff are always friendly . Kyle, who’s recently joined the team , is a great addition .

Great hotel with lots of amenities. The bar/restaurant area is great - big screens to watch the sport, good selection of beers and drinks and food. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. The Starbucks is also good for a coffee and the pool, sauna, gym are also great (just check swim times as sometimes the water aerobics class is on). The rooms are decent too, comfy beds, nice bathrooms. Have stayed many times, has good car parking facilities too and a bus stop a little walk away into Leeds city centre.

Loved everything about this. Business trip combined with lovely gym and great dinner. Gym can get a bit crowded in the evenings.
