Village Hotel Dudley in Dudley

Stayed 22nd March25. Comfy beds, clean room, excellent shower. Restaurant was good, lovely evening meal and excellent buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful. Would recommend.

I had a private event here in the HUB area and the hotel and staff were superb. I would like to personally mention Damien and Ilga who were so polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the staff were always around the bar to make sure no one was ever waiting. I will certainly be using the village Dudley events again for any future parties. Thanks for making the experience so easy to arrange and a pleasure to attend!

Popped in for a breakfast before catching our train as the station wasn't too far, Really tasty breakfast, nothing was a trouble, Great polite staff, Lynda, Anna and nigel were fantastic

Well done to Linda's for her outstanding efforts in maintaining the spa area to an good standard I've noticed a difference when she is off, I hope management recognizes how important she is to the overall experience we have at the spa and keeping the areas clean for members

Absolutely brilliant, we stayed here for valentines, bowling cinema and restaurants are a few minutes walk from the hotel, room was very nice and decent, pool was lovely and warm, i will say the food prices were more on the expensive side but you get ehat you pay for food was amazing and very big portions, we had ordered room service but it was very nice, would definitely recommend!!

Got to big up the girls n boys in the Starbucks cafe especially Isabel & Krystina. Always pleasant and smiling, coffee consistently good!! Keep up the good work :-)

I had an absolute pleasure staying here during the BRC Promotions Conference. Both Beth and Laura were incredibly lovely. Upon my arrival, Laura greeted me with warmth and grace. When I mentioned that I couldn't find my teammates and felt a bit lost in the new city, Laura kindly offered, "Well, until they arrive, you can talk to me. I'm lonely too." This instantly put me at ease and brought a smile to my face. I saw Beth the next day at lunch, and she was super helpful in assisting me with my meal. She was so kind and made me feel welcome. Thank you for making my stay a brighter experience!

I love all the classes at the village hotel in Dudley!! Beth’s H2O fit is fun and energetic, love it! Sue’s is so caring and considerate and helpful by giving alternative options for exercises to fit her audience in class when needed, she makes a point of knowing your name and getting to know you as a person. Aqua and fitness classes are perfect for me as I need to be careful with my knees and back and have fibromyalgia, Tina’s Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba is fun and steady, she engages everyone, chats to you afterwards, an enjoyable experience!!? I felt so much better after the classes even with fibro, for years it’s been a vis ious cycle of pain, but with gentle classes I got past this and enjoy every minute!

The rooms are a bit basic and tired upgrades to rooms aren't a thing as they are all the same. Breakfast is excellent we were there for a tribute night which was good value although drinks expensive as hotel prices.

Can't recommend the Village Dudley Gym enough. Has been life changing in my fitness journey and would not have achieved the goals I have reached with out the guidance and support of Beth Bray. H20 class is not only fun but delivers the results. The class has grown and is always fully booked. Definitely give it a go you won't be disappointed. Only wish there were more classes as it's addictive!

Visited the restaurant with friends. Food was really nice, good value and fair portions, we were waiting close to an hour for our food though. Not ideal but would try again though

My experience was very good as this was the second time I’ve visited this hotel the checking in staff were fantastic especially Nathan who helped us to check in very polite and helpful with a friendly approach All round the staff made us feel welcomed Happy to return Up the wolves

Stayed in upper deck for romantic weekend with my other half mirrors around the bed give you a brilliant view if you know what I mean;) Rest of the hotel was good aswell breakfast and onsite gym, several restaurants all within less than 5min walk. Great place to stay for active couples

Nice hotel, clean, great breakfast, staff throughout are wonderful. The only downside is the permanent low lighting in the bedroom (this is common in many hotel chains, not just here) - there’s no big light. As I always share a room, it is not always appropriate to share the bathroom mirror, and this is the only place bright enough to apply make up/contact lenses when you have the eyesight that comes with being over 40😄 - from now on I will be packing an illuminated magnifying mirror! Great place and good value otherwise. Will return.

Ok !!! So Nathan on our arrival was very attentive and professional and he helped us with all our needs !! He was very helpful . He is a top member of your staff and deserves a star ⭐

First impressions the hotel looked lovely, step inside to check in, was a queue, but they had these automated check in machines, not a big fan if I'm honest, takes away that personal touch. We got to our room, which is a nice size, bed lovely and big. Popped down to the pub for a few pints, it was busy and lively, but only 2 people serving, and people were jumping in ,us being us waited our turn, certainly could do with more staff helping out when it's busy. We had a few pints and something to eat,which was pleasant. Bed lovely and comfortable, pillows are bit hard ,noise coming from outside the room, even though there's a notice saying quiet Zone from 22.30 till 7am, was a bit annoying, the shower decided to pack up as we got ready to go out Saturday ,but.hey ho these things happen. A nice hotel just needs a few things sorting.

Starbucks I find the people who work at the branch at the village gym very helpful and caring . I have two favourites young Isabel and her manager tia very delightful young people and always make a fuss of me and have my favourite coffee waiting as soon as I arrive. Lovely young people.

Had a lovely stay last week at Village Dudley. Tara on reception was very polite and informative. Would definitely stay again 🙂

I have been staying at the Hotel for the past couple of weeks, Laura the receptionist has been amazing from the get go, Check in was seamless with her, She has been very helpful and gone above and beyond, Thanks for all of your help I will be 100% staying at Village Dudley again in the future.

Outstanding Sunday Lunch in the Pub and Grill cooked by Chef Dan, and 5 star service from Heather and Sam. They made our experience truly special and we will definitely be returning!

Absolutely 100% recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean, comfy and full of what you need. Service here is 2nd to none. The staff are fantastic, friendly and on par. Facilities perfect and whole hotel is just perfect. Plus the prices of everything is quite adequate. Come visit and see for yourself

Really pleasant stay at village and often use the co working space too! Great location with various food spots and also a great pub and grill. Nathan is great and helped me check in fast without any issues!

Food is much better then other Village Hotels I have stayed in and room is clean with big tv and easy access for firestick/ps5. Close to shops and restaurants. However the walls and ceiling are paper thin and windows do not seem to close fully so you can hear the traffic.

Used a day pass for leisure facilities. Had never been here before - for the 1st time, you need to bring id. I did not have so had to get somebody at home to send it to me so that they could see it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been allowed in. After I signed in and was allowed to enter, nothing was explained to me, I did not know where to go or anything like that. I still do not know where to find the gym. I went to the swimming pool, which was a lil cold for my liking. Also went to sauna and steam room they were OK just a lil on the small side. I had to wait ages for jacuzzi as some people were in there for ages. Changing room has everything you need and was clean.

Very good hotel with all good facilities you would expect. Clean rooms, tired bathroom but clean. On site cafe and good bar area.

Stayed here with family booked 2 rooms, while getting ready to go swimming I went to ask reception how much another night would cost. While waiting I heard another customer say they had been into the two rooms while all our belongings are there, they had been given the same rooms by member of staff. Spent over 40 mins trying to get this sorted worried about all our luggage in the rooms a stranger had just had access too. No manager on site I was told someone will be in contact. After my stay waited no contact so I emailed, finally got to speak to member staff on the phone who told me both rooms would be refunded, a month on only one was refunded so I got in contact again, still waiting for a response how could they refund one room on the same booking when both rooms had been entered by a random guest. Would not stay here again poor customer service

Very beautiful hotel. The room is spacious. Walking distance to Tesco Extra. Highly recommended.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT!! IHAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION MEANING I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE GYM . I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT SINCE 2022 !! THEY HAVE PASSED MY DETAILS ON WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AS I APPARENTLY SIGNED THAT RIGHT OVER IN MY CONTRACT !! NO PHYSICAL CONTRACT WAS PRESENTED TO ME !! BE VERY VERY CAREFUL

Lovely hotel, super clean and modern. Service was brilliant, Nathan on reception was so friendly and helpful and went the extra mile. Can’t fault it at all. Will definitely come back.

There was my son's Prom. He liked the place.

The room smelt bad. Had stains on the walls of some sort of liquid over about a 2 meters area. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was not good however. Very close to a lot of eateries.

Great location, clean and very welcoming staff. Reservation was extremely easy and straightforward, rooms were clean. Few issues I had though, firstly was put in a disabled room (which ironically is at the furthest part of the hotel and had to get 2 lifts) not a problem but maybe make people aware they’re staying in a disabled room. Secondly, fire alarm was pulled on first night at 3 in the morning, completely ruining any hope of a good night sleep. We got a little hand written apology and that’s it. Second night had some very drunk people stumbling up and down the hallway, making lots of noise. All in all very disappointing stay and wouldn’t look at booking again

We went for a wedding from out of Town. Service is superb. Top class service I say in the UK. Perhaps it is the nice people in this local area. Last week I went to one of the expensive restaurants in London overlooking the Gherkins last week and that dining service is probably only 50 percent match to this.

Perfect place for our trip Nice and clean Staff friendly and helpful Even though self check-in/out, staff there to help all the time Rooms very very warm, even when windows open! Our room was nice and quite Plenty of space and staff remake the beds each day, which was unexpected

I've been a member of the Dudley Village Gym now for over a year! The classes, facilities and staff are all great! I've been having PT sessions with Beth now for a couple of months and I've been really enjoying them! Beth is a great PT, she motivates you during each session and tailors your fitness program to you! I'd definitely recommend anybody thinking about having PT sessions to go for it!!

I’ve been having PT with Beth Bray since December now and I can’t recommend her enough she not only pushes me to my limits but also my personal therapist, I would highly recommend Thanks Beth

Village Dudley is a great place to stay and relax, good food and hotel facilities, especially if you don’t want to stay in Birmingham City Centre it’s not too far away to get there by car or public transport. I mainly use Village Dudley’s Gym and Fitness centre; I have been a member nearly 18 months. The facilities are great, with lots of equipment in the gym, multiple studios and a full class time table. The team are amazing and very welcoming, there’s always someone there to say hello and help you out if needed. As an LGBT+ person, it is important to me that I feel comfortable in a space such as a gym, as it can be an intimidating environment but Village Dudley is very inclusive and I feel safe to be there. Massive shout out to Beth who has been my PT since I joined - she is a little superstar. I was very anxious to join the gym again after a long break due to having surgery a few years prior and feeling a bit ‘lost’ on the gym floor, but when I met her to discuss PT sessions and my goals, she was very friendly, understanding and put me at ease. Beth makes working out challenging and will push you out your comfort zone, but makes it fun and enjoyable in order to reach your goals. I have lost weight, kept it off and my fitness has never been better since working with her. She’s also got me involved in classes, fitness competitions and helped me build lasting friendships, which I’ve never done at gyms in the past. I can’t thank her enough for what she’s done for me. Not forgetting the other PT’s Sanchez, Nathan and Tom who are also on hand to keep you motivated as well. Highly recommend Village Dudley if you’re looking to level up your fitness goals 😃👍🏻

There for a conference and was all good. Unfortunately, the pool, steam room, and sauna were out of action, which was unfortunate. Decent breakfast and evening meal was OK.

Staff were lovely and brilliant 🌟, Especially the front desk staff and Grill bar 🍸. The ladies on breakfast we're so welcoming and friendly. Village hotels are definitely my favourite to stay at in the UK 🇬🇧 Thank-you

I have been having PT with Beth for a few weeks and really started to noticed the difference in myself now. She’s a professional and pushes you to the limits and it’s enjoyable, she’s always easy to talk to and is friendly and encouraging even if the first time you meet her. I would definitely recommend personal training with Beth!

I’ve been using the village gym/hotel weekly since moving back to the uk. The gym is up to date, I love the new burn studio. I have PT sessions with Beth who is great at what she does, keeps me motivated and pushes me to get the best results. 😊

The gym is well equipped, staff are friendly. Would Like to thank Nathan in particular really knowledgeable and helpful in the gym and takes the time to show you how the equipment works.

Visited here really quickly for food, not to stay in a room. I ordered burger and fries and they were very good quality and tastes incredible. Lovely brioche buns and crispy fries, with vegan alternatives.

Excellent, easily accessible, high quality venue for a CDM course, or a nearby conference.

We come here whenever we get free time,up from sunny Wales. I like the hotel although on this occasion a male member of staff question our £30 spend in the resteraunt? Bit odd as it's the hotels offer. Then I'm drinking my 'coke' thinking this is odd. When asking the female member off staff she said that he had given us sugar free as coke is only sold in the bottle. I mean why take it upon yourself to change an order and lie?! Odd. Both the same guy. The lady gave us an extra free bottle, really nice. I'd just make sure all staff have the same customer service training. Cheers.

Club rooms are comfortable, clean and have a great shower! Fan provided because the rooms do get hot. Staff helpful and check in usually without a hitch. I’m not a fan of the evening meals but breakfast very good. A small fridge added to the rooms would be a bonus. Overall good budget hotel.

We took my wife's mom out on Mother's Day for dinner and were disappointed with the menu all it had on was a Sunday roast dinner or burgers it was supposed to be a special occasion Don't even get me started that they had the football on as well

Great gym and spa! Hot jacuzzi! 🔥

I visited here on Friday 29th March 2024 and have cause for concern. This hotel is being used by vulnerable people earning a living by selling themselves, somebody else is in charge of organising meets. I have reported this to head office after failing to get through to the hotel staff. The room number was 205 and I suggest if you have children please be careful and do not let them wonder unsupervised. Nobody has even bothered to contact me, I may report this to non emergency if I have time, nobody gives a hoot anymore. Seems like a Nice hotel otherwise.

Stayed one night for a little time away. Basic amenities but presented well. Room was very clean too which is a big plus! Located near many chain restaurants within walking distance, whether you want to eat in or take away. I thoroughly enjoyed the all you can eat buffet breakfast. All in all a pleasant stay. The only minor criticism was the empty plates and bottles left in the hallway outside the rooms.

The place can't cook or make a right order for a special needs person I feel like this place needs new management or new staff who knows what they doing as the food was wrong

For entertainment is a good living place

Experience was very bad hope nobody goes through this , I stayed with them many times never complained about anything although they had so many issues , these staffs are very very rude , room had smell of cigarettes when we came in , next day their check out time is 11 I overslept ,at 11.30 this girl who works there she knocked the door so I woke up and said give me 5 minutes I need to put my cloths on , after 20 seconds she started knocking again , I said I'm getting ready , after 20 seconds she knocked again she consistently did that and one time she just walked inside the room and reminded me off the time which I'm well aware off , I was very angry for her behaviour so I went downstairs she charged me 15 pounds for 1 hour late check out which is understandable to me but if you have a system of charging people for an extra pay why do you pasture people so much and then take the money , I would never forget this Experience as this will haunt me for how long God knows , but I will never come back again I thought you pay higher price for better service. I chose to stay there although it was expensive compare to others thinking there would have good service and I was very disappointed by their behaviour. But honestly they are worse than a 1 star hotel , these girls they hire for customer service these doesn't have any clue rather than talking rude to people,ruined my day

Come for Sunday lunch at the Village on the 25-02-24, now beside the excellent Sunday roast which is the very best I've had in a long time, the level of care the staff showed to us and an unfortunate older gentleman ( who seemed to be known by the staff) who came in with a gash above his eye, showed their compassionate and helpful nature, they got the first aider out who cleaned him up and showed a great level of care. The staff rang the gents family ( he wouldn't go to hospital) and someone came. Village Management your Sunday staff not only gave great customer service they eclipsed it. They have done your hotel proud

Room wasn't to normal high standard here last night, but v comfortable all the same. Breakfast anywhere tends to be mayhem, with guests scurrying around and about. But Whenever Linda is here/on, there seems to be a calmness about the place. Maybe bottle it and sell it!!!
