Chips hard and aneimic, curry more like bbq sauce, overcooked batter. Very greasy. In all couldn't eat it, afraid we binned it. Not nice at all.

So good for gluten-free options as staff are very knowledgeable. We made the most of it and ordered chips, fish in batter, chicken nuggets, and jumbo sausage - all gluten free. Food was piping hot and very tasty. We ordered over the phone and it was ready and bagged up when we arrived just 10 minutes later. Great service.

Would recommend. Hand the gluten-free chips, sausage, curry sauce and scampi and it was great. First gf chips I've had that tasted like chip shop chips and not like cardboard. Really enjoyed and would definitely recommend. My other half had regular fish and chips and really enjoyed those too. The woman serving was lovely too.

Always had great food from here. Most recently, the giant Yorkshire pudding Christmas special for £5. Great value for money and huge portions!

Really disappointed on this visit. Person serving was extremely rude and just carried on chatting on her phone while I was trying to order, in the middle of me giving my order, she just turned around and walked off out the back while chatting away on her phone. When everything was ready I took it home to find out the large sausage I ordered had been replaced with a small one. Maybe they need to spend more time concentrating on the customer rather than their phone call. The food was actually quite nice, just a shame the rest of the experience was so negative.

Great local chip shop which safely serves gluten free meals. The lovely lady serves gluten free fish, scampi, jumbo sausage and chicken nuggets, curry sauce, gravy, chips and even gf vinegar! You can even buy a bottle! The gluten free sausage and nuggets in particular are so good, even better than I remember gluten containing products used to taste! My husband isn’t gluten free and he agrees you cannot taster the difference. He actually preferred the gluten free versions! Honestly the first time I tired the gf sausage I thought it was too tasty not to be gluten free. Winning! The place is very clean and the lady is so nice. I’m just so pleased that I can still safely enjoy sausage, chips & gravy 😋 They now also do click & collect. Which will save you having to wait for a few mins as it’s all cooked fresh.

Brilliant fish and chip shop. Caters to coeliacs and gluten free, lots of options (including vinegar for the chips!). Very yummy and good price. Highly recommend and I will be buying again

We ordered fish and chips, curry sauce and the lunch cod bites box with a side and a latte. All the food was freshly cooked to order and delicious. The lady owner was very friendly and professional and premises kept extremely clean. The coffee was a very good standard too which is unusual when not a specialist coffee takeaway. Would highly recommend and will return!

My partner has been to the Jolly's since she was young. As I recently moved to the area, she recommended us the Jolly's, despite not going there for years, as she never had any bad experiences before. We bought a large chips, sausage and tango blast. The chips were under cooked and soggy. For a large, it was on the smaller side for a chippy. The sausage was OK but was not fully cooked on both sides. The best thing was the tango blast. But overall the quality of the chippy is expensive for what you actually get. The lady who served us wasn't friendly either. It did not make us... jolly. Very, very disappointing.

Chips were pale and undercooked. Sausage was okay but nothing to write home about.

Fish was cooked fresh. Nice big piece. Only set back is it's all served in plastic boxes. Sweaty chips a no-no. Next time I go I'll get them open.

Excellent chip shop with a fantastic range of food, particularly gluten free (which is very hard to find). Highly recommended.

Chips really greasy and expensive and lady behind counter bit miserable

Disappointed a second time with quality. First visit; chips were fine batter was soggy on sausage. Not so bad on fish. Second time fish full of bones, soggy batter on both fish and falling off sausage, was barely battered. Chips undercooked. Price would be okay if quality was better and more consistent. Friendly staff.

Fish was mostly hard batter, can't say I really enjoyed it, expensive as well for the size of the fish. Would not recommend to anyone. Sorry. Only called in on the off chance.

Very disappointed, the chips were undercooked and cold by the time i got home and the diet coke's bought were out of date 20/3/20 only checked as they were flat, not to mention the rude women serving.

Nice pie and chips although I felt the portion (ordered a large) was a little on the small side. Minced beef pie was very tasty. Very modern and clean establishment and plenty of choice on the menu. Would definitely visit again and recommend.
