Food is beautiful highly recommend the garlic bread starter with cheese dipping pot & the chicken stack . Portions were large , decor stunning & all staff were amazing esp becky

Called at Villa on Sunday evening for a drink and something to eat. We were shown to a seat and had a few drinks before having a very nice meal. The bar and restaurant create a very nice relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and professional- gives the impression of a very well run business. First class in my opinion and we will be back soon.

Villa has to be the best in Portstewart. Food is fabulous I had the pepper chicken its amazing everything made fresh not kept under a heat lamp! Such a well organised spot staff cannot do enough you're met outside by very well dressed males who guide you through to inside where your details are taken offered a table for drinks if you've to wait on a table in restaurant which is always busy ... always a good sign! Level of cleanliness is 1st class as soon ppl leave the table it's sanitised right away. Menus etc all sanitised as soon as returned to staff. Very good social distancing. I cannot speak highly enough about Villa it's flawless. Staff are so nice + very well dressed. Has to be the best run restaurant in NI.

Came here for a few drinks with some work mates, quite a few of us and obviously with corona rules it was 6 to a table, fair enough, we also work in hospitality and we understand. However, the manager was very rude when it came to us mixing with each other we always stuck to the 6 person rule however, he kept saying “you cannot mix tables”, fair enough. Then we asked the man “can we order some drinks” and he said no, not even “I will get someone for you now” just “no” and was confused he then came back and took our order but we felt very uncomfortable as he had been so rude. We lastly, asked if we could take a photo in front of the Villa sign as we had to stand up to do so, as the decor is beautiful and he said “no can you not follow simple instructions”. Lovely staff, lovely location, good drinks, good food, rude manager. Maybe he was just having a bad night, but some of us our enjoying our day off

We called to restaurant yesterday for my daughters 18th Birthday lunch.We were met by a waitress to get a table.I was asked why i wasn't wearing a face mask,I told her i was excempt she said that the management doesn't allow entry without one!I then asked if i have to wear one do they have disposable masks there,to be told naw but theirs a shop up the roadMortified id to walk to the shop to get one only to wear it to be seated!Absolutely pointless and embarrassing walking back past customers who had heard the whole conversation!Finally got seated drinks and food order put in straight away,half an hour later we got our starters.Salt and chilli chicken was terrible no taste to it at all,the garlic bread was disgusting my wee boy actually spat it out it was that bad..Half an hour later we got our mains!My daughter had the villa curry that was the most disgusting thing id ever tasted,id the chicken escalope i thought it was to come with pepper sauce but to me it was just a jug of cream!!Very bland and disappointing..My son had the kids cheese burger and it was still pink,id to let the critter eat it as he was starving..I myself am a chef and I would never have served the crap we got yesterday..I spend £125 here I expected it to be good,very disappointed wont be back again!!

Called in with a few friends over the weekend. Unreal service and even better food. Five of us went to Villa and had a short wait in ocean upstairs, tables service for drinks was some touch whilst we waited on our call for our dinner in Villa. I had the salt and chilli chicken starter & a sirloin. Both excellent. My steak was cooked to perfection! Friends all enjoyed theirs too. Really impressed with the way the restaurant are dealing with track and trace aswell as social distancing. They have it down to a T. This isn't the first time I've been here and certainly won't be the last. Excellent everytime

Never disappointed when we come to Villa. Staff is always friendly and helpful especially Rebecca one of the managers. Always a good night no matter when we go.

Visited on the Tuesday with my family, we were greeted immediately at the door and got seated fast and easy. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It was pretty busy but we were still catered for and not forgotten about. Food was delicious and great prices. Overall a wondeful experience and will definitely be back again.

Such welcoming staff, all staff are a credit to the business. We dined here at the weekend and despite it being extremely busy our server was so accommodating and nothing was any trouble. I think her name was Niamh? I had the monkfish and my partner had the steak melt. Both dishes were incredible. Thanks Villa, we can’t wait to visit again!!

What a better way to start the summer by taking a trip to Villa, from the kind and friendly staff to delicious and beautiful food, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend for anyone heading to the north coast!

Considering the current restrictions, the staff in Villa Portstewart made our visit a pleasure. From the door staff to the busy waiting staff we were treated so well. The food was excellent also. A big thanks and well done to Chris (the manager) and all his staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villa and of course we will return.

We have been touring Northern Ireland for the past 2 weeks and we have to say, most evenings we’ve been eating out, all have been second to none, with the exception of the Villa. We would add that we have so far enjoyed our visit here very much, please do not let this review deter you from eating at the many excellent places that Ireland has to offer. On first impressions the place looked to be atmospheric and very busy. We are not winging people and accept the odd not so perfect meal. My wife ordered the sea food linguini and I had the sirloin steak along with a bottle of Zinfandel. My wife enquired if her meal could be served without the cream, which they obliged. When it eventually arrived, the meal served was not linguine but a concoction of penne pasta tossed up in some really disgusting tasting sauce, indeed it was inedible, my wife pleaded with me not to make a fuss, but I felt at least I should point out that the order was for linguine not penne. The excuse given was that my wife’s meal had to be made from scratch. Really!! I thought that’s how food is prepared, from scratch!! But even if it wasn’t could it not have included the linguini?? At least mine was acceptable although not perfect.

I ordered the seafood chowder. I think I was served left overseas as no seafood just potato and sauce. Waiter service was good and chowder was replaced, all seafood, no potato's with a cream coloured liquid, completely tasteless. I did eqt this but did not enjoy, as my friends had already waited 30 minutes. My complaints pretty much fell on deaf ears. I was offered a drink in compensation which air refused as fealty my friends had also been inconvenienced. Our waiter was very apologetic, however management didn't seem to be interested. Unfortunately, they chose to charge the £15 for the chowder. We apologised to the waiter as we chose to not pay a service charge due to their managements handling of our disappointing evening.Thanks Villa, the 2 star rating was for your staff not your food. Maybe your chef should go to Seafood Chowder cooking classes.

My boyfriend and I ate here last night and we absolutely loved it. The place is so beautiful and the food was unreal - especially the steak melt! The staff were brilliant too, everyone was so friendly and welcoming - we would like to particularly thank our server Rebekah for being so wonderful. We would highly recommend villa and will definitely be back.

I have to upload these screenshots of the replies I had got from what I’m assuming would be the manager or if not the owner! I honestly will never be back at this place. The waitress had a terrible attitude, lifting my cocktail then rolling her eyes when I asked for it back. Not to mention having to ask for the cocktails to be done again because they were so bitter.It’s a shame that some staff including the one replying to my messages on one of their sites is running down a great venue. The pictures I uploaded with this review show how unprofessional this venue is. It’s disgusting. They should also update their closing times accurately!Not to mention they have now blocked me on this social media because I had complained

Service today was brilliant. The staff were extremely attentive and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. Menu is good. Food was also excellent. We will definitely be returning soon.

So my partner and I visited here on bank holiday Monday for something to eat and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, this was at half 4. So we waited only to be forgot about until at 5.45 I had to ask again. We were then took to our table and ordered our food. Another HOUR passed and still no food, the waitress came down and told us that our docket had been misplaced!! We werent coming out until half 7!!

This is a lovely restaurant with lovely food. However, whilst myself and my fiancée were about to enjoy our meal, 4/5 staff hovered around disrupting our ability to eat our meal in peace. Although it may seem nice to ask someone if everything is okay.... after 5/6 times of being asked during the meal it’s very annoying. We had a date day and wanted to enjoy it in peace. In addition one of the waitresses then came over and rushed how quickly we ate our meal. The waitress came over and lifted my fiancé’s plate when she was only half finished pressuring us to finish sooner to free up tables even though it wasn’t busy and there was no queue. This only happened a few minutes after receiving the food so there clearly wasn’t enough time to finish it. Poor service unfortunately and it has put us off going back again.

If I could have given it 0 stars I would have. Bouncers are a joke. First time going and definitely wouldn’t be back. Shame really as it looks a good place.

I was recommended of here by a friend. So glad I chose to give it a try. It was the first time myself and my partner tried here and the food was great. I would class this as one of the top restaurants iv been to in Nothern Ireland. The cocktails were outstanding especially the strawberry daiquiri. Will definitely be back soon.

So good to be back for beautiful food with generous servings. The choice of Gluten free options is fabulous. Service is excellent. Highly recommend.

This is our favourite place to go on the north coast. From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic. Was here on Saturday 11th a young lady Rebecca took our details on arrival and sent us to Ocean Bar where we had great cocktails and a beautiful view of the sea. Excellent table service, & friendly staff. When our table was ready we were taken to Villa. The food was so sensational, starters, mains and desserts. Amazing dishes cooked to perfection. Brilliant atmosphere from start to finish decor is breath taking and staff second to none definitely be back. They were excellent on social distancing and all sanitising procedures which was great to see

As a wheelchair user with cerebal Palsy, it is important for me to feel safe and included when I go out. Villa has always welcomed me and the staff have ensured I have safe access into the outdoor area, bar and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and kind, with a special mention to Chris, who regularly checks up on me and always ensures I have a drink! I hope that in 4 weeks, Villa can continue to safely serve and welcome its customers. I can't wait until the nightclub is back open! Thanks for always ensuring I have a great night, Talia

Visited last weekend, special occasion. Felt very reassured by measures taken to be Covid safe. Had dinner, good vegetarian options. Great service, thank you to the lady with the big smile and blond hair. Apologies for not remembering your name.

We went to Villa for our mum’s birthday and had the best time there. The staff were so thoughtful & friendly whilst adhering to covid guidelines, which made us feel very comfortable and relaxed especially in these strange times. The meal was beautiful for all of our party and the birthday cocktails were the icing on the cake. Mum had the best time and we definitely will be back.

Went for a meal with my family last night, had to wait for a table 50 mins and after that we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our mains to come!!! So ridiculous. I’ve never waited so long for food to be served in any restaurant I’ve been to and trust me I’ve been to many all around the world. The food was basic, nothing special but edible, and mojitos taste like tap water with rum. Definitely not worth £7.50.

The room was cold and the staff couldn’t get us out quick enough. One meal was ok but the other was very poor. Very disappointed.

First of all I would like to say the atmosphere and service were second to none. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we felt so relaxed! The food was so tasty and affordable, I would definitely recommend the salt and chilli chicken starter and the steak melt main, absolutely to die for! Thank you so much, we will be back soon❤️

From the moment we entered Villa we felt comfortable - I was quite nervous eating out but the management and staff really put me at my ease! The restaurant is beautiful and spotlessly clean ( really important at this moment in time ), and the food was AMAZING! Personally I think you’d find it difficult to find better service and food anywhere in N.I. And I would not hesitate to recommend Villa and it’s staff to anyone.

Came in for a romantic meal and a few drinks, absolute star treatment to say the least. From beginning to end, the bouncers greeting us at the door, the lovely Manageress (Rebecca I think?) finding us the perfect table out of the road, the fantastic, knowledgeable waiting staff and a delicious (and inexpensive!) Meal. Couldn't have asked for better for a quick getaway, especially with all things covid, we felt so safe and well looked after.. what a credit to the business! P.s try the seafood pasta!!

Hmmmm, it's a pretty bar, but the food is inconsistent (we got two completely different side salads during the same meal, and two completely different nachos on two different days). Whilst the staff are nice, they refused to refund two undrinkable cocktails - it's not an expresso martini - it's a very sickly sweet vanilla expresso martini.

Had one of the best post lockdown meals within the area, staff and food were beyond expectations. The staff made us all feel really welcome and looked after our table really professionally and mannerly. Would highly recommend :)

Presented a gift voucher which expired 9th March 2020 and explained we didn’t get to use it because of lock down. The manager Rebecca become abusive and derogatory. Basically calling us stupid that they didn’t close until 21st of March. No harm but eating out back then wasn’t recommended. Clearly no regarding for people or covid. She spoiled the taste of the good food. Feel like they stole £40.00 and had no regard for it social distancing at all. One member of staff notice how upset I was and she flew off the bar behind me ranting again. It was that bad I contemplated ring the psni..

Had a brilliant time in Villa tonight, food was gorgeous and the staff are lovely and so friendly. Group of 6 us went early had starters which were beautiful, mains were fantastic and finished off in Ocean Bar for drinks. Management are fantastic they have the place running perfect as the staff are the best we've come across yet. This isn't our first time at Villa and certainly won't be our last, love it!

Were staying down in portstewart a few nights as our holiday was cancelled due to covid. Big thanks to the staff who were so intentive and even remembered our drinks order on 2nd visit. Excellent new Zealand sauvignon blanc and fantastic porn star martinis with prosecco shot. Will definitely return again soon.

From entering the restaurant we felt at ease with the covid regulations, the staff were so friendly and helpful a credit to the management, the meal was delicious as was desert, we will definitely be back when down staying in Portstewart again and would highly recommend to anyone. Fancied a wee night out and honestly, was not disappointed!!They had great social distancing measures in place which was very reassuring to see and from the moment we sat down, the staff were so lovely and attentive to our needs!We had the salt and chilli chicken with sweet potato fries and carbonara for our mains and they were delish! Not to mention the amazing cocktails!! Honestly, from the gorgeous venue, the staff and the food, I could find no faults. I will definitely be returning!

Villa Had been recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. On a trip to the north coast we decided to spend our Saturday night in villa. The atmosphere was great with accommodating and attentive staff. We had to wait 30minutes for a table, however we sat and had fabulous cocktails upstairs before being called to our table. Once there, our waiter Craig was more than happy to help with anything we needed and was superb throughout the entire night. I had the seafood tagliatelle was which absolutely amazing, would highly recommend anyone who likes seafood to try! Overall the entire night was fantastic and I would tell anyone to get themselves down to villa for the high quality food and service!

Went for late lunch with my 3 daughters. We all got salt and chilli chicken. It was so dry and overcooked, probably reheated. My daughters asked me not to complain and in truth everything else was pleasant. Still probably won't return.

I attended the Villa Portstewart yesterday for a meal with some friends. We ordered a round of drinks and upon ordering our mains we waited around 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. Throughout our meal no member of staff approached us to check how our meal was nor were we approached to ask if we needed any further drinks. Upon finishing our meal we had to ask the waitress to get us our bill as at this point no one had approached the table to clear our plates. We had intended to stay for a few drinks following our meal, however the poor service in the establishment was a real let down and so we went to a different venue. This is my second time in the restaurant and I can say on both times I was not impressed.

Had three courses with my boyfriend. I had the chicken fajitas for main which I would highly recommend! Cheesecake was lovely only the base was a little soft for my liking. Would go back

We went to villa restaurant on a Saturday night the good thing is you don't have to book. the meal was good the only bad point was the wait for it to arrive. Apart from that I would recommend it.

Went in for lunch with my girlfriend and received fantastic service from the very start. We were deciding what to order and got advised about the best combinations as we ordered a few starters between us. Great service and felt very comfortable considering the current covid restrictions. I would 100% recommend to anyone for a enjoyable experience and meal.

Pleasant staff Relatively expensive Loud music leaving conversation difficult 3 couples who ordered after us were served before us. Two simple main courses resulted in our lunch's taking almost two hours

We had a brilliant experience in Villa, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was brilliant and the service was fantastic. Our family booked in for a late lunch and had a great experience! One thing we noticed was the kids meals, the kids food was just as good as the adults and wasn’t processed junk, the kids fish looked amazing and went down a treat. All of the staff took great care and attention to us and the kids. And the cookie Nutella stack don’t fall into the trap of ordering to share, get one of your own!!! Maggie has the place run to perfection and the decor is beautiful! Thank you!

My wife and I fell in love with the Villa at first sight. We were checking out Portstewart's eateries the evening prior to our visit. I loved the decor and ambience. And those views from where we sat by the window! Fun to watch the people passing by, and you just knew who was coming in to join the party. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. And the food was astonishingly good, beautifully served. Such imagination went into the blend of ingredients—all perfect BTW—and how they were cooked. Well worth a return visit—or ten!

Great views over portstewart staff friendly Good menu selection. Very funky layout. We have been a few times and we will be back.

We came here today for lunch and the service was brilliant. The staff were lovely and so was the food. My daughter fell off her chair and the ladies were so kind, they brought over some ice for her head and even better, ice cream to help her feel better. It definitely did. Would highly recommend.

Top class service from entering through the doors of Villa Portstewart. After a few hours in another establishment in Portstewart we decided to move to Villa to finish our evening with some snacks and drinks.. and what a great decision it was. We were met at the door with 2 lovely doormen who went out of their way to support a group of 7 ladies. They introduced us to the manager Rebecca who really went out of her way to get us a table for 7 to enjoy drinks, snacks and live music. A lovely safe location with just some fabulous staff.

Had a lovely evening with the girls out for some cocktails! Josh was so lovely and so helpful! Great evening, 10/10 be back again!

We went last night for dinner. I'll start with the positives- the staff were very friendly and the decor inside was lovely and the tables were well spaced apart.However, we waited for our meals for at least 45 minutes if not longer as we watched all the people around us, even those who had arrived after us, being served their meals. This was due to some sort of miscommunication and one of the staff apologized for this once they realized this. That being said, it would have been a nice gesture if someone had tried to compensate us in some way, even if that had only been another drink since we drank most of ours waiting for the food to finally come.I enjoyed my steak though the chips were a bit disappointing- my partner said his food was average. I think we would have felt differently had the food not been quite as pricy as it was, or perhaps it was this combined with the very long wait and zero attempt at compensation.Not a terrible experience overall, but not quite the one we had hoped for.

We ended up eating here for two nights in a row as the food was so good on the first night. Everything we tried was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were very attentive and a lovely location.

I had a steak sandwich and my wife had a pasta dish. Both were very tasty, well cooked and presented and the prices were reasonable.No contact details were sought from us for track and trace purposes. As we could see into the open plan kitchen we observed that the 4 or 5 staff in it were either not wearing masks or if they were, they were pulled down leaving their noses uncovered

Manager (very abrupt) refused to honour voucher which I was told would be honoured. Booked a meal to attend before lockdown and Villa cancelled due to Covid 19 (understandable). Due to shielding I was unable to go in July. Manager was not interested. All he could say was "we've been open since 3rd July". I know of 2 other people whose vouchers were not honoured and I'm quite sure there's loads more. They have taken people's money. Shame on them.

Amazing food and customer service. Excellent covid 19 hygiene standards tables well spaced out and all staff wearing face coverings. We felt very secure in here.

This place is second to none when it comes to customer service and good food. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. Being here with young children makes no odds as the staff are so amazing with them making the adults feel more comfortable! Food is fantastic ! Atmosphere is superb ! Definitely our favourite place to go ! Top class job ... keep doing what you’re doing!!

Visited here twice now during our stay in Portstewart, and each time was first class. Nice atmosphere, lovely food, and the staff are super accommodating and friendly. We have two young children and all of the staff that tended to us were brilliant with them, and able to make sure we had a great visit. Highly recommended and will certainly be back! So impressed with how great all the staff are here. Despite the place being so busy the staff were so impressive from the hosts greeting at the door, the servers, the bar staff, the floor staff it was a really smooth operation. Theres a few different bars and restaurants in the place and staff across each part were all amazing. Very friendly, professional and everyone knew what they were doing. Had drinks in their beer garden waiting on our table. Had a 50 min wait on the waiting list but we were told that is how long it would be and we were taken to a table and given great table service for drinks while waiting. Then taken to Villa for dinner - get the steak!! Partner had the chowder and our friends both had fish dishes. Food was superb.

We went here twice on our stay up in Portstewart. During the day on a Wednesday and again on the Saturday night.Food was amazing. Both times the place was really busy and did not stop. Sat outside for drinks, great music and full sea views. On the Saturday night we were upstairs in Ocean Bar which is so trendy, had cocktails over looking the sea then went into Villa for our dinner. Every person in our group absolutely loved the place and the atmosphere. Staff are exceptional and so many staff on which was great. Very busy place so go early to avoid disappointment

My family and I decided to go for a Sunday lunch in Villa and how glad we are we did! My wife and I the Roast Chicken and Beef which were cooked to perfection and the kids had a mini roast with our youngest having a very special "Champion Burger". We were so looked after by a very attentive Abbie and compliments to the chef! Definitely will be back, what a way to enjoy to the North Coast

Fantastic vibe and atmosphere. Food was lovely a refreshigly different menu. Staff were extremely attentive amd friendly. Felt very covid safe. Went above and beyond to return my lost glasses to me and posted all the way to England. Def returning when we next get back home. ❤️

Food and drinks were good but Villa is not partaking in the dine out to help out scheme in August so would recommend going elsewhere

Food was just ok salted chicken as a starter should be served with a glass of milk or a fire extinguisher.was disappointed that they were not part of the eat out to help out the only ones missing out are their customers maybe they think they don't need us not be rushing back plenty of restaurants in the area are part of the scheme and think their customers should benifet

Staff very poor, food average at best, told we would be an hour and were served 2 1/2 hrs later. There are so many better restaurants in the area it’s hard to see how they still exist.

Had an amazing evening at Villa Food was first class, fantastic portion size, price point and service. There was 7 adults and a 7 month old baby and we had a fantastic evening. This is a must for anyone looking a lovely meal and drink in Portstewart Highly recommed❤️

We have eaten in Villa several times post-lockdown and it has been a 5-star experience on each occasion. It is well-staffed with efficient and very pleasant staff, who are so attentive. The menu has a wide range of choices with very generous portions and is very reasonably priced. The quality of the food is first class. I particularly love the Chicken Curry, it is the best I have tasted. The restaurant is very well run. It is our favourite place to dine and we are fortunate to live within walking distance. The cocktail menu is also great and a lovely way to finish an evening off after fine dining.

Made to feel very welcome from the get go, a good variety on the menu. Salt and chilli chicken with chips was superb and my friends sirloin steak was melt in your mouth!! desserts and cocktails equally delightful :) The servers we encountered were super friendly and attentive. 10/10 can’t wait to be back in Portstewart for another visit.

Very well run restaurant in the current climate, Rebecah the manager has it down to a tee... masks worn by all staff and everything was cleaned before and after service, staff were very helpful and pleasant and were so busy attending to everyone’s needs, the food was amazing and was quick to our table, booking is recommended if you don’t want a wait, we hadn’t booked and had to wait half an hour but we didn’t mind as the atmosphere was great, well done Villa for not doing the meal deal, it’s a help to the government hopefully others will follow suit

Had a great time here on our weekend away. Staff very friendly. Two of us had Sunday roast dinners which were beautiful. Friends had seafood chowder and steak melts, everyone loved their food. Definitely recommend the cookie stack dessert!!! Enjoyed lovely cocktails. Great atmosphere in the place, thanks guys we'll be back

Dinner generally wasn't warm enough, lumpy gravy which should've been strained and tough bland beef! Staff pleasant and efficient. Very disappointing dinner!

Out with a large group of friends on a Saturday night and had an excellent evening. Cocktails fabulous as always, good food and good service even though packed out. Had the chicken melt with SPF and tasty as. Décor stunning and such a positive addition to the Port. stayed all night for the live music & DJ.
