Nice place to sit outdoors. The staff is very friendly. They make you feel welcome to Southend. I had a really nice hamburger a pint for a tenner. Nice family friendly atmosphere

My dads best friend’s wake was held here and it was perfect. Brilliant staff, great food and really clean. Lovely bar,- and it isnt called the view bar for no reason. Will be coming back here

Had a wake there place was cold drinks reasonable food was shocking sausage rolls was burnt like black on top pizza was bit burnt too and only 1 selection of sandwiches. Beautiful views tho. Sorry won't go there again

Good little spot for a drink friendly atmosphere

Rare to find a bar in Southend that has such a good view to sit out in the summer with good music too, they have an outstanding DJ that is usually playing on a Saturday afternoon. There is a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. Ive only had pizza once so can’t really comment on the food. It is on the corner of Prittlewell Square/Clifftown Parade in Southend.

Discovered the view during the summer and have found it to be the most friendly bar. Danny the owner is a delight and it always has a good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

A fantastic setting overlooking the estuary on the cliffs .good beer and the food looked great .ideal for a sunny afternoon.

Your only choice in the Conservation area but not bad at all.

Where is situated is nice ,away from the sea front, but yet over looking the sea and plenty car parking, been there several times in the past few years , sadly for some reason I did not enjoy my capuchino, it was barely warm and it did not taste the same especially when you pay as much as any respectable places in the high street ......but hopefully next time will be better

Not sure about this place, 16 quid for a pint and a draft cocktail, probably ripped off. Personally don’t bother, go find another pub.

Bit rundown Coffee Tea and a Cheese Sandwich £11 odd A bit stripey to be honest, I wouldn't go back by choice.

Lovely spot on the edge of Prittlewell Square, friendly owner. Basic limited menu but on both occasions I have been, food freshly made and served with a smile.

Great location but needs some money spent on doing it up. Expect like most businesses they are finding it hard to get the income up after covid. We still had a nice time though. Sat outside the views are incredible across the Thames Estuary. Nice atmosphere too.

Went for lunch with my niece...couldn't of felt more welcome by the lovely manager and staff...soft tacos were AMAZING! 😘👍

Great in summer when sitting outdoors! Bit small indoors but Danny (manager) and staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. Very reasonable prices on food and drink - well worth a visit :-)

We had a great night at view bar, the ladies working the bar were lovely. The atmosphere was amazing for the Belessa Club night.

Spent NYE dancing and celebrating. Was the best night I've had in 4 years. Jolene Richards. DJs were brilliant. Loved every minute off it. 🎉💃❤️❤️❤️

Great place to go on a sunny afternoon, sitting on the terrace overlooking the cliffs, sea and sun, friendly atmosphere from the staff and customers, we've been there a fair few times but it's better when the dj's there, good selection of music from chilled to all the good songs you've forgotten about. Drink prices are good with a good selection and cocktails, there's a selection of food, but we've only had the pizza which was decent and not a cheap frozen one. I think the best place in Southend to spend a sunny afternoon having a drink.

It's in a great location. It really is a bar with a view (2 nice views - the sea and the gardens with a fountain). It's very nice that it has perspex screening so the view isn't ruined but you don't have to directly breathe in the car fumes. Only had drinks...very expensive, but that's only to be expected after the bad 15 months we've all had. Plus, we are a seaside holiday resort and things are always expensive during school holidays. The servers are very young and a little bit clueless, could do with a bit more training, but are pleasant nevertheless

First time coming today , beautiful place to sit and enjoy a drink and some food, the owner is lovely the food and drinks are really reasonably priced. Definitely gonna make this place our new local 🥰 absolutely lovely x

Sadly a very disrespectful and somehow racist staff.

Going for the first time there with my family friends terrible experience I asked one of the girls if there was a free table she said yes just wait for us to sit you down.. we waited for 15 minutes nobody came they were just ignoring us Other costumers came after us they had a sit before us we were still waiting We asked one of the guys that we already spoke with one of your colleagues but we are still here He was so rude he said I’m the owner you should have spoken with me but how should I know you are the owner when is my first time coming here he said I don’t care if you want to wait for half an hour you will have a table otherwise go I don’t know but that was so disrespectful I will never go there anymore I wouldn’t suggest to anybody having that bad experience with that rude and unorganized staff

Absolutely incredible place to sit down have a drink and a bite to eat. The food is impeccable and so is the customer service. I have never met such friendly staff in such a nice cafe, the view as well is just perfect. Honestly I would recommend anyone to go here even if it is just for a drink I would recommend it as it is worth every penny! Also how can you hate a cafe that plays soft jazz in the background!

What a little jem of a place. Walked past a million times as live round the corner but had never been in before. Staff really friendly and the food looked amazing (we wasn't eating but see some great food come out to other customers) Also 5 shots for £10! Boom 👌

What a cracking find above the beach in nearby central Southend! As stated in other reviews, this bar/bistro is great value. It has a blinding location, which is next to a gorgeous grass square which has lovely working fountains. Head for the 'cliff lift' [I used the stairs next to 'said' lift] and once at the top, turn left and walk for 100 yards past the statue of Queen Victoria. Once you spot the bar, go meet the lovely staff, even the clientele when we were there, were chilled. It really is worth escaping the touristy palava on the seafront for this rather special bar with fabulous views. We will certainly return, a terrific find.
