I was on a business trip and entered this restaurant by accident. It was delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered their speciality noodles. The portion was generous and the soup was really tasty. The service was attentive. Highly recommend.

Good food and staff, perfect for trying

I like dining at Viet80s. It's relaxing and informal and the service is friendly. The food is generally good and my favourite are prawn rolls, summer rolls, fried chicken wings, water spinach with garlic, brisket beef pho, pork with garlic and lemongrass etc. The menu is extensive and the prices are affordable. They do not add a service charge to the bill; but because the service is attentive and friendly I am happy to add it myself.

Amazing and satisfying restaurant to eat

Another wonderful meal here. Always a warm welcome and friendly staff who are happy to help. We had the stir fried goat with lemongrass special and would highly recommend it. The rice rolls were like a lighter version of Chung fun and came with a soup/dip with cinnamon infused meatballs that were a real revelation. I also had the caramelised pomelo and mung bean sweet soup. Not for everyone but I personally love this kind of dessert and will be having it again. Thanks you guys!

We visited here after spotting it when we passed it on the bus and it didn't disappoint. The staff were charming and it was a job to choose from the varied menu. The kitchen is open to view so we could see our meal being prepared and it was brought to our table piping hot. It was absolutely delicious. If we lived in the area we would definitely be regular visitors.

Great experience at Viet80s. I got pork spring rolls, and my partner got fried pork to start. We both had beef shin pho for main. Food came out very quickly and was so tasty, service was also excellent as the staff helped us to have a better understanding of the menu. Also great value for money with the standard of the food being so good. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for great Vietnamese cuisine

Food was fantastic - very authentic with great flavours. Really good value for such fresh, good quality ingredients. The spring rolls and summer rolls were beautifully made, balancing deep and fresh textures with great of textures. The staff are really attentive, providing great service throughout. Only 4 stars on atmosphere as it's a bit echoey and noisy, so with hearing problems this made it a touch difficult for me. We will be back very soon!!

We came here expecting a light meal, we decided to choose 3 starter plates and 2 desserts to try out. The starter plates were extremely flavoursome. Our favourite starter was: spring rolls but the broth from the shaking beef was phenomenal. The meat was very tender from the broth and we were delighted with our dessert. The lady and gentleman who served us were extremely polite and gave us recommendations, and also shown us how to use chopsticks!

I had a outstanding Spicy Beef Bun soup / Bun bo Hue Excellent Soothing piano music Quite honestly the best version of the dish I have ever eaten today. As a Vietnamese, I’ve gotta say without a doubt, the food from this restaurant is real authentic. Of course it has been customised a little bit in terms of seasoning, but the customisation doesn’t change the essence of Vietnamese cuisine in the dishes.

I highly recommend this resturant.The tast very good like original food from Vietnam.The staffs very kindness and have service mind.If you love asian food must try! Also vietnam coffee is great!Dont miss it!

Keeping Vietnamese food authentic! We visited Vietnam 2 years ago and this was the first time we felt truly reminded of the delicious food! Definitely recommend

I kept walking past, thinking how interesting the decor was - the wooden cow and bicycle - and intending to go and eat. Tonight was my first trip. Entered and was greeted immediately and extremely politely and asked how many of us would be dining, several tables were suggested but we were given the final choice. We were also offered green tea by our waitress once we sat down and it was really good quality tea. Menu looks very authentic, half of the middle section is in Vietnamese, there is a dish with apple snails and another with frog, several pho options with a choice of different cuts of beef and the drinks menu has some really unusual options including fresh carrot juice and iced mango coffee (served with mango sorbet on top). I went for the house special fried rice with chilli and a hot salted dry apricot tea. My companion had a Vietnamese robusta coffee with condensed milk, served in a Phin-style Vietnamese coffee maker, a fresh orange juice and egg fried rice. The rice (pictured) was quick to arrive but not suspiciously so and smelled absolutely fantastic. The dish featured a fresh ribbon salad of carrot and I think possibly mooli/radish with separate slices of cucumber and the vegetables were really refreshing. It was a lovely mix of textures; the top featured a crispy crunchy layer, the rice was fragrant, the chopped chili added a lovely and much needed warmth to offset the chilly weather and the small sections of oyster mushrooms were juicy. Topped with generously sized prawns and interspersed with slices of good quality cooked beef and duck, I feel like the menu description may have somewhat undersold this dish and I would very much recommend it. The warm salted dry apricot tea was the perfect mix of sweet and sour and a really unique drink featuring pieces of ginger which I’ll probably spend the next six months trying unsuccessfully to recreate at home! It might not be the cheapest but considering we had a main each and three drinks, I don’t think the final bill was too bad. I was informed by my companion that the egg fried rice was nice and she very much enjoyed her first Vietnamese coffee. Service was very attentive, food was delicious and I’ll be back. Next time I plan to get the grilled side goat and fruit yogurt featuring avocado and strawberry, or perhaps the caramel flan. Both sounded and looked great!

A lovely authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Friendly staff, always smiling and polite. Bottomless green tea. The food was really tasty and fresh ingredients used. They had lots of vegan options for us. It was reasonably priced for the excellent portion sizes. We will be coming back for sure!

I cannot really comment on the food because I came in for a classic Vietnamese iced coffee. Although I was only there for a coffee the staff were exceedingly nice and attentive even opening the door as I left . I cant wait to come and try the food!

The Bun Bo Hue was a standout, with a deeply savory broth and just the right amount of spice, loaded with generous portions of beef and pork. The portions were perfect, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
