Delicious food and most authentic.

Lunch at this place was a delightful. The menu featured a variety of delicious vegan options, great price point. Dining partner had a meat dish which he really enjoyed, the spring rolls have to be the best ones we’ve both had! The service was both friendly and efficient, ensuring that we will be returning in the future.

Incredible food at a good price

The restaurant has really gone down hill since it changed owners a year or so ago. I went last week and the food was obviously not freshly prepared - spring rolls had been pre cooked, noodles seemed to have been sat for too long and reheated and the whole meal tasted really off. The bun cha was served on a plate and was really hard to eat without a separate bowl. It does not have an inviting atmosphere with the black walls at all either. It is a shame because it used to be excellent.

Come here for lunch fairly frequently, quite a lot of vegan options. The Banh Mi's in particular are really good, spicy and fresh!

The sticky rice with mango is unreal

Nice place but owners should alert Google about their correct opening hours. Went yesterday (a Monday) and they closed at 4pm and reopened at 5pm. So they are not opened for the whole day as stated on here. A diner was refused service who came in yesterday just after 4pm.

I used to like coming here before it changed ownership/management. It now seems to have gone downhill. I cannot comment on the food as I didn’t get a chance to try it. I walked in as a group of 3 and were seated. We were ready to order in about 5 minutes. The waiter was busy making drinks for about 15 minutes and didn’t look in our direction once. 3 other tables then walked in and the restaurant was full. All of a sudden, after over 15 mins of waiting to make my order, I see the waiter go up to one of the tables seated after us and take their order. I therefore got up and left as I didn’t have too long and got the impression the service was going to be slow and inexperienced. Not knowing the order of table priority indicates to me a lack of experience or skill, as you should recognise you want to get orders in from tables who have been there first surely? I am not a fan of disorganised and slow service. The decor is very dark and oppressive too. For such a small room I would have kept colours light and tried to bounce light and space around to make it look bigger. It’s now all pitch black. Go to Viet Rest down the road if you want Vietnamese.

The Banh Xeo is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten in London. Not kidding. I have been to Vietnam and this is the first time I can find a Bahn Xeo that mixed the juiciness of the northern recipe with the taste and colors of the southern recipe. 10/10, I am on love now. Worth the trip from West London

4 of us had a fabulous night at Viet Alley. The food was tasty and fresh. Particularly relished the crunchy summer rolls with their taste bud-tickling dipping sauce. We much appreciated the opportunity to bring our own alcohol, with no corkage fee. We paid under £18 each for delicious Pho and summer rolls. Keep in mind that they don't allow you to split the bill so has to be done on one card. It was super easy to book a table of TheFork, and the restaurant were expecting us when we arrived. A small restaurant on the high street which lets you bring your own drinks which is always nice. I didn’t like my food but I will be back to try other dishes as a lot of the food looked really nice.

Delicious Pho Ga and Vegan ‘Cha Sui Pork’. The restaurant appeared to be crazy busy before our arrival, most of the tables had plates on them even though customers had left. I’ve only dropped 1 star as I believe this would be a one off, it’s Luna New Year and there was a big party taking place downstairs. Staff could not apologise enough for the service being substandard and the longer ‘than usual’ wait for food due to there being a party downstairs. Good portion of noodles in the Pho.

Good food but has definitely had some sort of change up and no longer as good as it previously was

By all means, AVOID USING DELIVEROO for delivery. It took them 45 mins to sort out a rider, and when the order arrived(bun hue) the broth was spilt because the container had been bashed. Bad value (over 20quid) for what you get. Think the food used to be better. Might dine in with them, but will never use DELIVEROO AGAIN.

Beautiful pho. Seems to be family owned, and the family members who were there were eating, chatting and laughing, which was lovely to see.

Simple place, good quality food and generous portions, I’ve been here twice now and ordered different things all really good quality, tough competition in the area and this place holds its own. Drinks are too sweet for me but food is well seasoned and will be back many times. Good service.

Amazing vegan menu. Really nice seeing that they provide a whole vegan menu as an alternative. The vegan BBQ pork (Cha Siu) was so good. And the staff were really nice. Would definitely go again!

Lovely, helpful staff and considering the quality of the dishes the prices are a bargain. I enjoyed the garlic beef pho some lovely Bánh cuốn to share. I wish they would take card payments because walking to collect cash at the end sort of kills the afterglow from such a nice meal.

Incredibly friendly staff, good food.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff very happy to help one of our party with food intolerances. All the food was flavoursome, well presented, good size portions and very yummy. Will be eating in and getting take away from Viet Alley again very soon.

I have spent a month in Vietnam this year, I’m not Vietnamese myself but I can say this place certainly is authentic! I think the Vietnamese pancake was better here than any I had in Vietnam! Everything else was delicious and very fresh. I will be back! They do have vegetarian options and a vegan menu! Very nice vietnamese dishes, especially coconut rice and also the spicy soup with rice noodles with meat or prawns.

Been in the area for a while and I’ve always seen this place packed out. Now we know why! The waitress was so nice and helpful and a great guide to understanding whats best to order. Good quantity and the food was really good. Hoping to come back and try more

Great place to grab a fast lunch

Without doubt the worst meal I have had in years. Ordered sliced pork with sticky rice. The pork was like a cheap English sausage cut into strips. Really. That was it. No flavour, nothing else accept a bit of cucumber and grated carrot. £12. Used to be a big fan of Panda Panda and Viet Anh Pho but this is in a different universe. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Usually quite buzzing, mixed with locals and new customers it seems which is a good sign! A much larger menu compared to other restaurants, more choice and even a separated vegan menu. Lots of seating is available including more seating downstairs, BYO is also allowed. The food arrived after 20 mins or so, hot and fresh. Portions are generous as seen and the staff are super friendly though usually quite busy.

The summer rolls are meh..tofu lemongrass is fine but could be better

A shady shop that will do anything to make money. Cramming people into tiny places like cattle. They won't let you sit down when there's an empty seat. If you only order a ten pound or so rice noodle, they want you to get lost. They are especially bad with Asians, even though they are Asian themselves. Oh yeah, and their kitchen, it smells like rotting corpses.

So far the best one on the deptford high street.

'Vegan' chicken and pork slices apparently have eggs in them as ingredient. Staff actually said to me questioning this that "some vegans eat eggs". No, vegans don't eat eggs and anything with egg in it must not be labelled as vegan. That's a breach of trading standards, completely unethical and seriously dangerous. Change your menu ASAP, as it does not reflect reality and grossly misleading!

Speaking as an asian foodie, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have tried in London. The price is also very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I liked the food and the ambience. Communication was a problem at times, but all in all a rather tasty Vietnamese. Probably the best in the neighbourhood.

Spectacular!!! The food was vibrant, fresh and great portions. I wanted to eat everything on the menu and was jealously looking at the food on everyone else’s table. Absolutely delicious authentic Vietnamese food at very reasonable prices. Lots of choices on the menu and we saw lots of Vietnamese people eating here which is always a good sign. We also had outstanding service - don't hesitate to come here for a meal.

Absolutely amazing food. Be warned the portions are pretty huge. Vegan "duck" rolls are amazing. But to be fair everything was great just can't remember the name of the rice noodle dish that I ordered or what my partner ordered either

Had the lemongrass vegan chicken with rice and it was delicious, an amazing blend of flavours with the roasted veg and fresh salad as well. Will definitely be visiting again and trying out their juices!

Was gutted to hear that pho hanoi closed down, but wow viet alley have well surpassed my expectations! It’s just as nice as pho hanoi! Their iced coffee is even better! I’ll defo be returning 😇
