Vibes food box in Rochdale

We have ordered food from this place on several occasions and always went for curry goat and pepper steak beef. Same food every time as it is really good. Yesterday on a way home from hospital we called to make same order over the phone to collect later. Called at 8:10 only to be told to call back in 5 minutes. Immediately thought this is odd as it takes few seconds to take order. Called at 8:15 and placed order for 2x curry goat and 2x pepper steak beef. Was told to pick up in 25 minutes. Came to collect food after 20 minutes with expecting to wait another 5 minutes. Only to be told it will be 15 more minutes. When I said why they not said that when making call order, response was rude “we are busy” without apology. When food was ready I was handed bag with 4 boxes and paid. Once arrived home, I realised that 1x curry goat was missing as 4th box was with plantain. Called shop that there is food missing, and was told they realised this when I left. So had to drive back for missing order. When collected meal I was offered to pick any food from hot counter, but I rejected as we already had enough food. Staff said sorry several times, but in general customer service from white young male was not to the standard we are used to in this place.

Didn't have full menu one of us didn't eat because they only had chicken ready this was 12.30pm. Only to be spoken to rudely! No customer service won't be returning. Excellent food, however manner don't match to the foods standards.

They make the best curry goat ever eaten in Manchester.

Rang twice within the space of 3 days. First time I ordered they cancelled my order because the driver “had a crash” which wasn’t convincing at all on the phone. 2nd time trying to order from there I rang after an hour and 45 minutes of waiting to be told my order is non existent and kept asking me if I was sure if I actually rang up and ordered. Absolute joke, no organisation skills whatsoever.

Top place to eat take away or eat in lovely Jamaica food

First visit this evening while passing by. Thought I'd pop in and see what was on offer..... First things first. The owner Kevin... Absolute gent! Had a good chat about his background and his ambitions.... Extremely welcoming. Genuine guy! I took a portion of jerk chicken with steak gravy (jerk gravy wasn't ready this early in the day). Rice and peas. Steamed veg..... Took me straight back to my days on Levenshulme with some extremely good Rasta friends of mine! This is proper home style Caribbean cooking! 💛❤️💚 More than generous portions. Cooked, seasoned, and flavoured perfectly! This place, even more so the owner. Deserves to go places! 100% will be visiting again

I came here when visiting my elderly mother. Unfortunately, she has recently passed away. Will miss this place too.

I've eaten takeaway from here twice with no problem but that was before I knew how filthy they are and I won't be buying a thing from them again until they actually listen to the Food Standards Agency inspection staff and up their game. They were last inspected in Sep 2022 apparently [not sure but probably a more regular than usual inspection from the previous ones as they failed to satisfy most hygiene requirements on those] and they still haven't listened it seems. Latest scores/findings are 'improvement necessary' on both 'Hygienic Food Handling' and also 'Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building'. I'd say go ahead and stuff your face with their food if you're happy with that. I however, am most certainly not. They do now get a 'Good' rating for 'Management of Food Safety' so perhaps they are on the right track. Who knows. For now I'll cook my own though.................... not ready to croak yet!

Had the curry goat and 2 chicken splits. Was phenomenal, best carribean I've had in years. Will defo be back.

Make sure to phone first doesn't open at the opening times I drove 10 miles to find the owner opens when they feel like opening

Food poisoning!!! The worst Peppered steak I have ever had, throwing up bad stomach terrible food and I called the shop to complain and she started shouting and being rude, I will NEVER eat here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to unless you welcome being violently ILL!!

Amazing food, sometimes gets a bad rep for delivery or service but the food is unrivalled you’ll struggle to find a better place that leaves you as satisfied for the flavour and portions are perfect

FOOD POISONING!! AVOID!! We are no stranger to Caribbean food but we had food here on Sunday and both me and my mate have been sick with bad stomach pains and diarrhoea for 2 days! Had to lose 2 days work! Never been this sick before in my life! AVOID!

Amazing food had the chicken curry ,dumplings veg rice yesterday was so yummy my freind had the jerk chicken and dumplings and went back for seconds it was that good 🙈highly recommended! , staff really polite and friendly can't do enough for you defo be back here keep up the good work guys,☺👌🤤🇯🇲

I would score zero If possible... Ordered food at 18:45 . Now 21.30 . Phone to check on order and the guy was rude. Delivery driver can not read door numbers either.. waste of time and money.

Order from here atleast twice a week because the food is really tasty. However, the last few times weve ordered we have had to ring up and complain about portion sizes or food being missed off. We are regular customers and we tip the drivers atleast a few quid every single time. Regulars should be looked after and the service were getting is becoming worse and worse. We've just had to ring up again tonight because my mum had a Large Jerk Chicken Meal £7.50. And she received 1 drum stick. Not exaggerating! The rest was fine but there's always something! Might give up on this place

we had lunch from work from here. I had curried goat meal and my pals had jerk chicken meal with some fried chicken on the side. the rice and vegetables were lovely. the meat was well cooked and well flavoured and the fried chicken looked and tasted as good as it does on any photo you will ever see! superb and we all loved it!

Excellent food & service, the Goat Curry is amazing. Also, there was no Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream left at their shop so the Driver drove to the Garage and bought my Son a tub 🤜🤛 Made my Sons day.

Have ordered the jerk chicken rice n peas twice n both times the chicken was over cooked & very dry not very tasty. But the curried goat rice n peas was spot on very tasty would definitely recommend that

Ordered for first time here this evening. Food was amazing. Packed with flavour. Curry was great. Patties were excellent and rice and peas with steamed veg was fantastic. Will be a regular! **UPDATE** Be warned that since my review and visit last year the place now has a 1 star hygiene rating and for that reason I will not be using again.

Poor service, expensive, especially when some of the food ordered is not delelived and when you contact them to let them know you are completely ignored. Arrived over 1 hour later than promised. Before ordering over the internet, try calling them, I've been trying for days and just get voicemail and nobody calls you back, hence this review. Update - 6 weeks on and still the company doesn’t contact me or bother to respond to the review. Order with caution folks!

Oil was a little on the old side, but the chicken and salad was fantastic and the rice and pea was very satisfying. Their lamb gravy had the perfect amount of spice without becoming overbearing at the end.

First time trying this place as I'm from out of the area and not had jamaican food in a long time. Tasted great me and my partner couldnt get enough of it, however we woke up with incredibly intense stomach pains ect ect. Unfortunately gotten food poisoning. Very upset as we both had made plans we couldnt carry out due to being so sick and not been sick like this since being a child.Won't be coming back.

Ordered goat curry got chicken instead packed with salt, if not available they should say so instead of just sending something I didn't order. Patties were good but steak wrap not so, recommended by a friend but won't be ordering again.
