Had to throw burger away. Really funny taste, £10 as well. Used to be okay, not anymore.

Cost cutting at its finest, we have been regular customers here. When we order online they always forget a sauce but no apology no care, it’s always our fault for not ordering correctly. Recently we bought a burger for my daughter and it said dip on the side, however they added the spicy dip in the burger, which was far too hot for her to eat. We called to explain and they really did not care. Responded with, she wouldn’t be able to eat a spicy chicken burger without sauce. However failed to realise that the sauce made it exceptionally hotter. She can handle bit of spice but his was ridiculous. The food standard of this place had gone down hill, the naan breads are now like wrap size - thin and crispy rather than soft and spongy. We will not be ordering here again. Looks like money is the main focus and not value to customer. I’m glad our other food establishments don’t have this mentality.

Placed an order the money came out my bank called and they said they haven’t received my order and also can’t get my money back for upto 3 working days single mother last bit of money it’s disgusting

We ordered a burger and a kebab Both were over cooked , smelt and tasted of oil. We had to throw our dinner away.

Although food was good I wasn’t happy the delivery driver decided to take he’s own tip and charge us £1 extra when id made sure how much our order was. But cause he paid our change in coins I never thought he would just take our money. Happened more than once now from here. So I’ll make sure if I order in future to check my change. If I wana give a tip I will don’t just take it.

Having ordered on the just eat app a few time recommended by my son,food excellent, we're out one night thought we would call in for a takeaway! Spotless cleanliness staff very helpful can't recommend highly enough....

Always order from here but tonight my husband got a cheese burger, ordered when it opened, was delivered in 15mins of ordering and has now spent the last hr being sick, wont order again

Paid £14.80 for a 9 inch pizza that had stuff crust. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and had barely any cheese on it. Definitely won’t be returning to this dump!

I had a calzone really looking forward to it got home and it was burnt mainly just bread not a lot of filling just melted cheese wouldn't buy another one again very disappointing lucky I had to put one star

Never would I order off this company again or via just eat. I accidentally ordered from this take-away as it has the same name as a take away in my local village. Bearing in mind this take away is nearly an hours drive from where I live. As soon as I realised I had made the mistake I rang the restaurant direct explained what had happened to be told its my own fault and they where not interested or didn't want to help in the slightest way. I am only human and mistakes can happen but they where totally unhelpful and rude then said ring just eat. So I spent money on an order from a take- away that is nowhere where I live.

Disappointment! Never again! Been ordering for years from them (not because it’s good, but there isn’t much choice in the area) Ordered today mixed kebab and chicken kebab, arrived mixed with burned chicken and doner. Rung straight away and the guy was having none of it! Very rude and arrogant. Will never order from them again and highly recommend you don't either!

Order from you guys quite often and never have a problem. Order garlic bread tonight and it’s burnt to a crisp! Why would you even send this to a customer? Seriously disappointed

We regularly use veronas with little problems but last nights pizza's were awful, tastless, and one incorrect, but unfortunately my husband had started eating it so we didn't complain. Won't be using them again in a hurry

Kebab was more like a dry roasted placenta

Ordered nachos with bolognaise started eating it as it had cheese on top but then noticed there was very little bolognaise sauce rang and complained and they did come and gave a refund but they said you have eaten some I said yes but there is no sauce. It’s not this that’s the problem but now they have blocked my address from ordering and we have 7 adults that order from them think it’s very poor if you complain you get blocked not very good customer service but at the end of the day it’s their loss

Do not get chicken wings from this place. They have a really dodgy way of reheating them. They use a combination of microwave and pizza oven. I had a portion of hot wings on Sunday and have been in bed for two days. Sickness, diarrhea, stomach cramps, cold sweats, fatigue, aches and pains. Prior to me being poisoned by these wings, I have Previously recommended this place to my friends and family. The donner kebabs are usually delicious but I will never be ordering from here again now as I never want to feel this ill ever again

Always hot and freshly cooked when delivered. The "crispy" version of pizzas is not really crispy, even when well done, but very tasty though.

Far too expensive now prices have gone up 3 times during the lockdown period. They added service charge and pizza are made by a machine not by hand as they used to be.

Bacon is precooked. Tastes like rubber on burgers. Everything else is alright though. Currently don't take card payments in-store so have to order online if paying by card. Which does incur the service charge as well

Paid nearly £30 for 2 parmos and a calzone and this is what you get for a parmo? Is this a joke? Parmos normally come with chips so either lower prices or sort food out straight rip off.

Good takeaway. Disappointed to see such a big increase in prices in the last couple of weeks. Also the hike in delivery charge and the 0.50p admin charge, leaves a sour taste in your mouth, especially when you have supported them through the pandemic. Won't be using them again on principal, plenty of other good pizza places in LS14 & 15 who haven't taken advantage of the situation.

Prices are getting ridiculous. Sure pizza deal was £18 odd not long ago. Chips are minging and pizzas are not even as nice as they used to be . Quality has gone down and price gone up. £24 then extra for delivery. Probably raise prise in a week or so.

Consistently good pizzas. You can keep your dominoes, pizza hut and whatever else. I'd rather have a Verona's any day!

Consistently tasty pizzas, better than other pizza chains near by. We order and collect as live out of Gainsborough. Order always correct and ready. We somehow seem to either get money back as deals on, or a free bottle of pop. Staff always friendly and polite. Wld recommended every time

Ordered food sent a kids pizza instead of a normal one ad we didn't resieve our kebab so we phoned them up to get called a liar the guy was so rude the food weid get was disgusting and cold I wouldn't recommend Verona's to a stray dog let alone anyone else

ordered a pizza at 6.15pm its now 8.10pm and still not here and no one answering the phone in the store i have never had this problem with them before but not even a text or phonecall to say not arriving or shop is shut so now had to order from karvonis in crossgates so lets hope that veronas does not arrive as they will not be getting paid not good leaving customers waiting sorry but its a zero from me

Order a two pizzas, and a lamb kebab, the two pizzas were lovely, the lamb kebab, absolutely the most horrible kebeb I've ever had, the lamb meat was over done,dry, and chewey, I feel I've just throw my money down the drain, as I cound not eat this rubbish, would not this to anyone

Ordered from here and when it got to my house the yoghurt sauce was mouldy they refused to give us a refund and wouldn’t do anything about it

We have only ordered from veronas twice hence the four stars. The royal kebab is well worth the money and always comes hot and on time, lovely fresh salad and the chilli sauce is not the usual cheap bottled rubbish, all in all a pleasant takeaway experience

Waited nearly two hours for delivery (on a Thursday) and had to ring shop to chase only to be told that they were busy and driver was 5 mins away. Pizza arrived 15 mins later and was cold and disappointing. Won’t use here ever again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone based on the terrible service.

I'm very upset to hear about the customer service as i used to work here, to answer the time issue, the average time is 45 minutes it can take 20-30 in un-busy times and up to 70-80 minutes in busy times as there is alot of orders. The quality of the food is very good and we do get difficult customers every so often from my experience they are usually very reasonable with customers. The veronas internet site is meant to email you back with order comfirmed or denied. Also a tip for other customers dont use just eat it is more likely to be rejected as it costs veronas money and they charge more than veronas own site -Mel

Ordered online using there own website Waited over an hour (website stated 45 minutes) phoned them up to see were it was Got told "we were busy when the order came in so we just cancelled it, but we can make it up now if you still want it? and it'll be with you in about 45minutes!" They had my phone number and email address and didn't bother to use eather to let me know it wasn't coming Very very poor customer service

The pizzas I've had have all been of good quality and at a reasonable price. Real ham and pepperoni make a nice change from the norm. Also, try their gourmet burgers. they're great.

Was a regular of Veronas but no more because there appalling customer service. They do nice pizzas and most of the time they are spot on. But everybody makes mistakes, this is normal. The way they handle THERE mistakes is to blame the customer. I ordered a few pizzas for the family which arrived looking more like calzones. So I phoned up to register my displeasure at this to be told in a nutshell it's my fault and the manager will ring me back in 10 min. Half an hour later I phoned them to be told some needs to come check I've not touched them before they will send replacements. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THESE AGAIN purely for the way I was spoken to and treated over the phone. Manager came and offered me 10 pound instead of the 14 paid because they had eaten the chips. RIDICULOUS !!
