El servicio es de primer nivel. Normalmente solo hago críticas cuando quiero advertir sobre algo malo. . . Esto es lo contrario. Gran lugar. Un oasis en medio de tantos restaurantes estériles y carentes de personalidad en Londres. ¡Increíble!

Trabajo en el área de Barbican y, a mediados de abril, estaba buscando un almuerzo fuera de los pubs y cadenas de restaurantes que rodeaban la estación de sintonía y encontré a Venzia Bacaro. Muy modesto por dentro, bastante ocupado y, sin embargo, fue para demostrar que es un excelente restaurante local. Raciones de gran tamaño - Tuve un entrante - Ensalada Caprese (tomates cherry, mozzarella y albahaca) y Penne con ragú. En galère dans le quartier, nous sommes entrés un peu au hasard pour leur demander de l'aide. Très arrengeants, très serviables, toute l'équipe nous a bichonné ! Le lendemain, nous sommes revenus manger et boire un coup: une super ambiance et des pizza très bonnes.

Nuestra única decepción fue la parmesana, que mi amiga y yo ordenamos, ya que es una de nuestras favoritas. En algún lugar de la masa de queso fundido estaba la astilla más fina de berenjena. Este arranque cuesta 6. 95, y para ser honesto, fue una desgracia y arruinó un almuerzo encantador.

El servicio fue muy amigable.Para un bar / restaurante tan pequeño, parecía un poco arbitrario que el menú de bebidas Happy Hour solo esté disponible en el bar, no en el restaurante. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is 2 min walk form barbican station. The food was really good. We had pizza which was made the Italian way, thin and crusty. The service was really professional and the staff was friendly. Overall an unexpected good Italian restaurant in the area!

My daughter was viciously and verbally abused by the owner of this establishment for daring to use the bathroom facilities before buying a drink. She has had her colon removed and is medically disabled which she tried to tell the owner. However, he called her disgusting, told her she should be ashamed of herself and that she was a b****. He physically blocked her exit. She is a tiny fragile girl and thought at one point he was going to hit her. She has never been treated or spoken to like this before and we were shocked by the assault.

Personal amable en un entorno de estilo íntimo que recuerda la familia de aquellos tesoros escondidos que se encuentran en muchas ciudades italianas Hill. La comida era muy agradable y el tamaño de la porción era muy generoso, en la medida en que subimos a terminar los platos! Nuestra pizza se retrasó un poco y nos dieron gratis pelotas mozzarella para compensar lo que era un toque agradable. La música también era especialmente notable, cada vez una nueva canción salió me encontré mencionar cómo fue buena y estas pequeñas cosas que realmente puedes hacer o romper una experiencia culinaria. On a training course around the corner from the restaurant. On the first evening a good steak and excellent tiramisu, aw days later a great pizza and another tiramisu. Friendly and helpful, will go back if in the area again.

My wife and I went for a trip to London and found this small restaraunt quite by accident and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the service was superb. Not over bearing and very helpful for helping us choose what to have. Table water was offered immediatley, the red wine was lovely and my husband had a pint of draught Moretti which he enjoyed. The food was freshly cooked, I can highly recommend the Haddock which is too good to describe in words. My husband's Italian sausage and pasta smelt, looked and according to him tasted good too. We had polenta given to us when sweet potato fries were not available and they were great. Generous size portions too.I had a side of mixed vegetables gratis with the fish and this was meant to be a light lunch!

I went with a friend after going to a class. I had a pizza which was delicious but my friend had the chicken with polenta chips and these were outstanding dipped in chilli oil. She also had a side of mange tout and broccoli and these were cooked to perfection in perhaps garlic and oil and were sensational.

My rating is based purely on the food, if I factor in the whole of my personal experience then it would be lower because I’ve visited this restaurant for lunch on a number of occasions and it was the last visit which really made me realise I was intentionally being treated inferior compared to my colleagues/fellow diners i.e. given a small portion compared to the rest of my party.

I was just back from a month in Venice and craving a repeat of my food and drink experiences there. The place almost put me off with its noisy ambience but at least half of the voices were speaking Italian so I stayed and was glad I did.I was pleased they served cynar spritz and it was good, though expensive at 7. 50.I ordered bigoli with duck sauce. Disappointed they didn't actually have bigoli but tagliatelle worked well. Two free limoncelli rounded it off nicely.

Popped in with the friend for some lunch and small drinkOrdered sea food risotto which was served very promptly, As I have never eaten in this place before I can only rate that particular dish.It was properly cooked however more sea food and more herbs would be appreciated,12.5% service charge was a bit high but I have paid because staff were polite and efficient, Place was not busy when we arrived but filled in very quickly for lunch - it is a bit noisy when busy. But I guess this is quite normal for small place in central London.

It has the simplicity in decor and furniture of a small Italian town restaurant. The smells are the same and when the food comes it tastes exactly as such lovely relaxing places do. It's not romantic unless you make it so. I opted for the quick lunch choice and my grandson for something not on it but both came through very quickly and piping hot. The waitress (owner I think) was efficient and friendly despite her being the only out front person. It's not a tourist area nor is there much higher grade property around. It's well pitched in pricing to attract office people not on an expense account and local residents watching their budget. Excellent value for money.

The food and atmosphere is authentic Italian and very good. The service is excellent. And the prices are very reasonable, especially for a central London restaurant. It's only a four minutes walk from Barbican station. I would certainly recommend it and will be returning there in a few days.

We arrived just as the kitchen was about to close; but the waitress (boss?) apologised, explained, and took our orders for all courses - so chef could complete before going off. I keep coming back to Venezia. The menu is large and there are many different options from cheap, quick and simple to the more unusual, from casual dining (pizza, pasta) to more fine dining options (scallops, monkfish, veal, intricate salads etc). Venezia has so much choice and all served with a smile in a an ambient atmosphere, whether in the actual restaurant or in the more relaxed bar area.

We have been to this restaurant on several occasions before and always had an excellent experience. What a disappointment this visit was! The waitress twice forgot details of our order (one side dish never arriving), my chicken in white wine sauce seemed tasteless and was left unfinished (drawing no observation), while my wife found her fish less than ideal. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day though we did wonder if it had changed ownership.

So we were staying in a hotel near the Barbican and with the rain coming down and hungry for food needed a place to eat. We found this restaurant and what an amazing Italian it was . Welcome was warm atmosphere good and food was excellent best I've had from an independent place. Please go try it.

The food here is fantastic and for London very good value. Everything was cooked fresh and arrived piping hot. We had a three course meal for an average of £30 per head. The pasta dishes we had were very large so be warned. The only issue we had was the bill, when it came there were 2 items we hadn't ordered, so I'd advise anyone else to check your bill fully. I saying goes this the problem was rectified immediately when we pointed this out. But for value for money and atmosphere I'd recommend.

Recently ate here with colleague after a very long day, both of us were tired and wanting to be fed & watered. I had the bigoli pasta and meat ragu with side salad which was spot on whilst my colleague had the Laguna pizza, also good. With two beers was under £40 so a bargain. Good friendly genuine service too. Recommended.

We often come here with work friends for drinks in the bar - and the staff are always so accommodating! I've sampled some of the lunchtime food deals, as well as sharing platters in the evenings, and it's always been delicious.However, the main reason we come here is because the staff are so friendly. We've had many work social outings here, that end up with us drinking all their stock They also have a little secret garden in the back! Check it out if you're there in the summer..

Lovely modest restaurant near the Barbican tube station. Pasta main and meat cheese focacia apetizer were fist class. Our server from Puglia was so friendly. Price was very reasonable.

Whilst staying in the Barbican my friend had the most wonderful,welcoming evening dining here. We had a starter of mussels - amazing and then I had the sea bream and my friend a seafood tagliatelle. Everything beautifully cooked with perfection in mind!!! Gorgeous Pinot to accompany. Riccardo was wonderfully helpful,informative and SO friendly. This restaurant certainly comes as near to perfection as possible, whilst not charging the earth, and the food cooked with care and love of flavours. Can't recommend this restaurant more highly and SO pleased we found it. Thank you for a wonderful evening and my highest compliments to their chef.

You know when you discover a great little place and start recommending it? Next thing, it takes off and you can't get a table for love nor money. So I'm nervous about telling the world about this gem because I'd hate to be on the outside, pressing my nose against the glass like a Victorian ragamuffin up against a cake shop. However, it would be unfair of me not to tell you this was the best linguine alla vongole I've had in a long long time. Now I make a pretty brilliant linguine alla vongole myself. It's not difficult, but you just have to get that intensity of taste right. This was marvellous. The cherry tomatoes were tiny and sweet, and cooked to be hot enough but still holding their shape. The clams were tiny but plentiful enough to give the blast of flavour, and the linguine was cooked to perfection. Yep, it was properly Italian - not overwhelmed with sauce like the English think it ought to be, but tasting fantastic.Anyhow, I was so obsessed with the perfection of my pasta, I failed to notice what the others were eating, but I did see that 4 empty plates were returned. As to the other charms of the restaurant, it is a simple place but it gets everything right. Plain wooden tables, white wine absolutely chilled - I had a glass of the Malvasia which was DELICIOUS - and the owner is funny, friendly and charming. The whole experience was completely enjoyable and now, whenever I go to the Barbican, I shall go there first. I can't be bothered to try anywhere else - why would I, when this delightful little jewel is calling to me?

Delightful lunch stop today, two pizzas and a chicken leg; the leg was covered in a tomato sauce which was perfectly seasoned. The pizzas were not considered authentic by my colleague, recently returned from Italy, but very good nevertheless. The Rialto was especially tasty. Waitress is a bubbly friendly Italian lady, and very helpful.

Very hard to describe this meal and evening. My partner's seafood risotto was sticky and deliciously flavoured and so was my bigoli and duck except that it was not bigoli which is a thick pasta whereas this was just spaghetti. I asked the waitress who asked the cook and she came back and I was told this definitely was bigoli and it always looked like that. I shut up and ate it wondering if my pasta knowledge was flawed and there was some unusual thing called thin bigoli which I'd overlooked. I should have held my ground as I now know I was in the right but I was having a nice night out and didn't want to make a fuss. Of course, I started to wonder if this was really duck I was eating as well. If there was a sauce as advertised on the menu there wasn't much of it...It was off putting in a disconcerting way and I sort of wonder if the cook ever really got asked... When we got the bill they charged us full price for the Happy Hour bottle of Prosecco which should have been £13 and not the £27 which appeared. Easy mistake of course and quickly corrected but when you put things together....Otherwise, great atmosphere and as I say the risotto showed how good the bigoli might have been....

Technically they had closed when we walked in, but they welcomed us and kept the kitchen open. We all three had pasta carbonara which was authentic and delicious. We will definitely go back.

Popped in for lunch after visiting the Russian Visa Centre which is nearby. Very reasonable lunch time prices - £6.95 for mains. We opted for items from the main menu and were not disappointed. Good selection of wines too. A friendly, intimate place for an authentic Italian meal with friends.

Nice looking rustics restaurant close to Barbican tube station. I chose a 12oz fillet steak from the specials menu. When it arrived I was a little taken aback by how small it was - perhaps 6oz at best and probably more like what you might expect for the £20 price tag. When I started to try and eat it I soon realised that as well as being half the advertised weight it actually wasn't even a piece of fillet - great lump of gristle in the middle made it inedible. I complained and the waitress removed it and offered another saying that there must have been some confusion in the kitchen. I was reticent about eating another dish but decided to go with a lasagne - unfortunately that was equally disappointing, pasta was cooked nicely but I struggle to find any meat amongst the sauce or between the pasta layers. Desert on the other hand was dark collect roll with biscuit and almonds - very nice indeed.Staff were efficient but food was so poor that I wouldn't recommend or indeed ever go again despite staying in the door step for the next month!There is another Italian restaurant tan out 50yards back down the road towards the Barbican that I tried out the night afterwards which was much better. I'll post a review of that when I can

We had dinner there with my friend. Food was amazing, especially my lasagne. The staff is very nice, kind and polite. Specially thank you to Kristjan who was taking care of us. Job well done guys!! Definitely will go back soon.

I visited the restaurant with my friend in Nov 15 and loved the atmosphere, food and beer. Hence why I went there today again, only to be really disappointed. It started with a waiter (could be a manager as well) bringing the wrong dish to my date. Ok, no biggie, she ate it anyway but mentioned a mistake to the waiter when he was collecting the plates. He did say sorry, but that was it. All this time there was a house and hip hop music playing in the background and while I have nothing against it, I think Italian restaurant as they advertise themselves, should play Italian or at least some chill out house music. Definitely not David Guetta and Nicki Minaj.Third thing that disappointed me is that they haven't had half of the items on a menu. Excuse that it's not lunch time anymore doesn't drink water when I just want to get a simple lasagna. Same with desserts. Out of some 8 items, they had 2 or 3. I have to say that grilled chicken breasts with potato were really good though!And so we come to the end; bill states 55£ , service charge is already there (5£) and although I am not stingy I couldn't go over the fact that we haven't got any discount for bringing a wrong dish. First time we were at this place, the waiter told us we get 50% discount if we write a Tripadvisor review. Well, the server today said that this is only for a la carte stuff, no drinks etc. Honestly, as much as restaurant exceeded the expectations first time, that much they disappointed us today. I am working in customer service role as well and would definitely offer at least a complimentary dessert as a gesture or try to make it up in some other way.I hope that managers/owners will take my review as a guideline how to improve their service. I have nothing against a place and will probably come back after a month or so to see if there is any change. :)

A disappointing meal which is a shame because the restaurant has a lovely rustic interior and the waitress was friendly and helpful. I had the crab starter which was tasty but had on it diced unripe avocado. The main was tuna which was overcooked and the vegetables were lukewarm . I ordered polenta chip which did not come until I had almost finished the main course and the excuse was the fryer wasn't ready for use.

Nice Italian restaurant not far from the Barbican Centre and the Museum of London. I ate a tasty lasagna and had the chance to try a slice of pizza. Very good, certainly one of my favourite Italian restaurants in London!

Me and my wife thought we would pay a visit to this restaurant and try the food whilst immersing ourselves in the atmosphere on a Friday night. It's a great place with an adjacent bar area which is quite nice for a few pre-drinks. The food was splendid. The flavours of the items on the menus are very well thought out with superb combinations. The size of the starters were very generous and the meats were cooked to perfection.The staff were excellent and delivered the meals at very suitable times. Very impressed with the total cost too.... We much recommend you to try this great little unique place.

Venezia Bacaro was just next to my hotel when I lived in London for a few months and I enjoyed it every time I went. Waiters are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing.

One evening my husband and I had to wait for our son and decided to have dinner locally so we found Venezia by chance. We were so glad that we did! The food was excellent and all the staff were so welcoming. Our son joined us a little later and also had a delicious meal and enjoyed speaking a little Italian!

I came here with my partner a little while ago, needing a good fill after work. The service was really friendly and the portions were a good size. We enjoyed the food and felt the price was fair. We got chatting to the staff who were friendly and informed us that we could order our lunch online and have it ready for a certain time which could be picked up or eaten in the restaurant. Because we enjoyed our experience we decided to do just that a couple of days later. We ordered our lunch online and it was ready to serve for us when we arrived. This meant we weren't wasting time waiting to order. I was surprised that they added service charge on a lunch. Maybe this is our fault but we weren't expecting to pay that and it bumped up the price. Overall I like this place and would go back for dinner.

We were having team section lunch today at the Venezia (9 People) and what was supposed to be an italian flavoured meal turned to be an iceland -(frozen food) worst fast food like gastronomic experience. Beside the kindness of the staff, the food was miserable as per the quality and overrated as per the value. Dry spaghetti with Seafood with few tastless tomatoes (actually white spaghettis, blank with no flavour) 9.50£, extra dry crumbeld chicken (frozen as well, but not unfrozen very well) with 5/6 sadly dehydrated peas starving themself for hunger. Parmigiana was not bad bud drowned in liquid(oil), tiramisu awaken after a long stay in the fridge , full of water and tasteless. Not bad the salami. Heart aching the price of a glass of wine 8£. deception saved by our the good company. Change sidewalk if you are in the neighbohood or buy a sandwich at tesco few steps away. You will enjoy more.

We had just visited the London Museum and were wondering where to eat lunch. We literally spied this place and thought ' why not ?' and ate a beautifully tasty lunch. I had aubergine parmigiana and a goat's cheese and Beetroot salad. The parmigiana was an entree ( thank goodness ) as it was more than enough and the salad was well dressed and didn't glop the dressing everywhere. My husband had the linguine with crab and raved about it. As well, he ate the recently baked cheesecake with berry topping. A bottle of red topped off the meal beautifully. The chef came and spoke with us and was very pleasant. All staff were lovely and the service was great. I would really recommend this restaurant, especially if you've just been to the museum.

I cannot a believe there is a review for bad good here. I live near here and travel 5 star around the world and the food is amazing. I had a take away spag Bol and I had to call afterwards to say how amazing it was! I'm here again and look at our starters! Yum yum

Lovely staff, however I ordered bigoli which was clearly spaghetti when served and my partner ordered seafood pasta that was unfortunately missing her favourite ingredient... Prawns (despite promises on the menu). Shame as the service was good and the restaurant had a nice vibe about it.

Not only was the food that I tasted well-made with lots of care, but the staff members were all warm and friendly.

Nice laid back atmosphere, welcoming and attentive staff ! Great value for money.. 4£ for an Aperol Spritz in London is defenitely a great thing! Lots of fun events.. If you want to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere while eating some good Italian food have a go

The food here was so tasty - every dish was wonderful! There was a party going on but the team were still sure to ask if we wanted the music turned down which was very considerate.We stayed long after everyone else had left and the staff were still accommodating and allowed us to have a few more nightcaps!Overall a great meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Visited here for the first time lunch. It has been open for nearly a year. Great find. They do an express menu at lunchtime. Excellent Italian food. Spaghetti Bolognese £4.50. Breaded Chicken £6.50. Apparently it has a great atmosphere in the evening. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They also serve two of my favourite drinks Campari and Aperol Spritz. The express menu is slightly cheaper than the A La Carte menu. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Went here for a midweek dinner having just walked in off the street having seen the menu. We were very early and walked in at 6, clearly before they started serving. But they were very accommodating and we just sat and drank wine until we were ready to order around 7. The food was good, nicely cooked and flavoured and isn't trying to be anything more than good honest Italian food. I think we ended up staying for almost 3 hours and at no point felt rushed to move on. Something that I for one find to be a nice surprise in a London restaurant. The place is what you see, honest proper food with decent wine. It's not going to wow you off your feet but you can have a good meal.

The service is always warm and friendly, the lunch menu is delicious and super reasonably priced, which is served quickly. This has become our new lunch spot of choice at work. They have a great little terrace out back when the weather is warm. They do 2-4-1 drinks 5-6pm on Fridays too!

Delicious southern Italian cooking with fresh ingredients prepared with loving attention, served in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We had two excellent calzone pizzas, fresh dough, tasty fillings, all the ingredients taste very fresh! Not overly impressed by the squid starter but how often in London do places have great squid? I can overlook the squid because the pizza was so good. At less than ten quid each it's pretty well priced although it's not in one of London's premier locations. We came here before the theatre on the recommendation of trip advisor and overall we were happy with the visit. However I think possibly the high amount of excellent reviews may have more to do with the promised 50% off your next meal if you rate on trip advisor.

An amazing place to go for dinner or just to have an authentic Aperol Spritiz Italian style!Lasagna was really nice and next time sure I will have the pizza because it was looking delicious!!!I'm from Venice and is difficult to find a place where you can taste the real flavours of Italy in London but in this place I was really feeling at home!!Thanks also to the friendly Italian staff :)

Nous avons loué un studio juste au dessus de ce restaurant. Nous avons été très bien accueillis ! La serveuse et le cuisinier ont été très à l'écoute et très sympathiques. Nous avons même eu le droit d'emporter une fin de pizza ;)Je recommande ce restau et y reviendrais avec plaisir !

Delicious, authentic Italian pizzas, quick and friendly service, lovely atmosphere; highly recommend. Especially when you take away, your pizza will be ready to pick up 10 mins after ordering. I always get my pizza from this place!
